Still this would be a nice feature to player learn how to play and stuff like that , for sure would help players in my opinion.

Well thiefs don’t have a good long range weapon. Shortbow is laughable in range and dmg; as for pistols are also lacking in range but atleast pistols have good dmg. Xbow on thief would be a slow, long range peak dmg weapon. I only suggest on guardian because it fits their style of bulky weapons and also, Midieval times? Ranger has enough weapons as do warrior. Thief has very few…

I also agree that would be nice to add this weapon (while personally i would want guardian to get javelin , not a crossbow ), but , from his points of view of classes that are weak enough to receive weapons , only ranger fit.

Both thieves and guardians (so are wars) are strong atm , even without the ranged weapon , do they still deserve the weapon? think they do.

Huh … that also seem a bad idea , should be able to select language on the installer or launcher (in case we cant already).

Having the game language attached to outside game things make little sense.

If you expect Anet to change the whole concept of Orr to accomodate your wish for mounts, then you’ve traded in the request for mounts to a request to change a large portion of the game. Good luck with that.

What if , mount cant be discounted easily , but their speed buff is at most equivalent to swiftness (and including the battle speed reduction).

Mounts will be functional , but would not be anything classes could not get already by using one skill. All that they would need it like , 3/4 hits to dismount , instead of having a damage cap that allowed them to fall in one hit.

No need to change a whole region at all to include mounts.

Mounts are incredible beautiful things. People here only think of their uses and forget how fun simple getting that one mount you think it is cool can be.

Will never forget how many days non stop i farmed in my WoW days to get a pretty mount. Really , having a mount for speed buff only is pointless , the speed buff itself can be taken out actually.

What really matter is finding and using that cool mount you want.

Really … there is no need to do that. People already report bots for free , people will always report bots for free.

Fact is , most players hate botters for getting the easy way while others got “work hard” to get them.

Honestly , the 100% is a step to the leg weapon. It is meant to be a pain.

Still , this shows how fast a server fall , the once mighty HoD … now cant even fight back on lower tiers.

People must slow down , there is a PvP team , those guys must divide their attetion over lots of things. In time they will be adding things.

Im guessing they are focusing on trying to balance all they can atm.

You never said your race , so they would not be able to do so.

Second , adding that to cultural heavy set is a plain bad idea in my opinion , reason enough is that it changes a set tons of people already got.

Adding a new set , not racial , for the people that want this kind of thing makes much more sense. (while true it makes no sense to have high heels while using a steel armor , but oh well , not the strangest thing this game got).

Really , i think will take a good while before Anet can balance eles , they can go from UP to OP very fast and with few changes.

So i think Anet will pick this class last to balance and spend time working on.

The blue norn on the race selection made me blind to the fact there were other 4 races.

First , why would you do that? They still should be selling from less that the price it costs to make?

And second , yeah you can , people were selling mad moon at the start before you could get them on chests and such.

well honestly , i dont really care , they cost so much already is just adding like more 15g to the total price.

Still , this would help to make it a little cheaper.

I found some heavy ones , while not 100% backless , was mostly.

Well to begin with racial skills are meant to be weaker, so only for some situations you would want them.

In my case i play around with my forms from time to time just for the fun of it.

Well note something , if there was really some ubber quest or some other crazy way to get them , we would never see many of them implemented … end of story. Too much cost to simple add 1 weapon few would even get anyway.

The way it is now , there is still hope we will see other kinds of the same weapon , like the greatsword.

If i had to pick , i prefer to have many kinds to pick , over an cool quest to get 1 i dont want anyway.

Anet should work on making people want to go there do events , be it rewards or something they use to call them.

That does not mean making one player do 90% of the events alone.

Honestly , i love the long coats , i understand some people dislike them , so maybe adding a few more pants to the game would help them. Still i dont agree with the reskin.

At most add new skins , changing the ones already ingame is a bad idea.

Honestly , that is silly , people should report because they want a clean game , not because they want to receive rewards.

And anyway , even if you do not report because there is no reward , tons of others will for free.

weapon swap? well you already got 20 weapon skills you can use on the fly, where other classes (not counting engi ofc) have only 10, surely that is more than enough.

As for defence, well you don’t have less defense as such than any other cloth class, as you using same armor as them, but ofc if you want to go for high damage you have to sacrifices stats like toughness and vitality, so yes if you play an elemetalist is pure fire attunement with only offensive stats you WILL take a lot of dmg. So learn your class maybe? does earth atunment say you anything? quite a few nice defensive skills there. The mesmers and Necroes you see survive really well are ppl taht know there class really well and might not be full glass canon builds

First , attunements are made to combo , that means , 20 skills help nothing , they are meant to combo to form what other classes get with 10 skills , so what you think is an good thing , is actually a gap.

Second , eles got the lowest pure survival in the game , Smallest HP pool + Light armor. Necros , unless the player is really really bad , are imortal on normal PvE , never leved a mesmer to 80, so wont talk about it , but from what i heard , they also die hard using ilus. (Not saying pure defense eles die fast either , they can tank well , but they need to focus on this … while my necro still survives without problems going full dps.)

I think eles do need balance , that said , i dont really think these changes are what the class needs.

I think Anet would do a better job than me finding how to balance them.

I would also love to see the heroes implemented , mostly cause i love to have NPCs with me , do not matter how much they help.

Biggest win on the SW:TOR system to me was this.

Most likely you will use the gem shop item that allows to custom your char to change this.

Also this is a know issue on many of the MMOs i played , reason i took extra care to not pick any hair which had this kind of thing.

Anything the promote smoking , should not be ingame in my opinion.

Now , lets say we change this to another item , then , what makes only the scout get / being able to use this item?

What would make the others not simple keep stacking 4 and doing the events anyway?

The true problem is , how do you identify who is scouting , and who is running around doing nothing? afk?

Well , all features there seem quite nice actually.

All i will toss in is that , they could add an guild upgrade to make alliances , so guilds that got this from politics 5 for example , become able to create the alliances , while not everyone would need the politics 5.

Wait a second, before anyone gets too far along in the conversation, I’d like to point out that GW2 did in fact, ADVERTISE the fact that their events are dynamic in a way that 1 person with better than average skills can beat the events and that the more people that join the event, the more difficult it becomes. I personally have not observed this to be the case. I’ve done many events several times with 3 people up to 40 ppl or more, the creatures do not change dynamically as advertised.

Reason i got so mad the other day , when i was soloing a champ , a bunch of useless weaklings joined , and i began to almost die , had to leave let them all be killed before i could come back and finish him alone … so funny right? I actually began to have trouble because others actually joined the event.

I agree! Some skill suggestions that are both thematic of Gw1 + 2 and partially balanced:

1. Hammer Swing 1/2 cast -> Pommel Bash 1/4 cast -> Yeti Smash, causes vulnerability, gives fury to pet. 3/4 cast time.

2. Path of Bruises: Bounce your hammer between multiple foes. Finisher: Projectile, Maximum targets: 3. Causes 2 stacks of vulnerability (5s). 1/2 cast time. 8s recharge. (path of scar style naming+richocet mechanic, what can go wrong?)

3. Trampling Ox: Charge at a target’s location, damaging and crippling foes along your path. 1/4 cast time. 12s recharge. Whirlwind Attack style targetting. (inversed version Gw1 of Trampling Ox)

4. Dirt Smash: Strike the ground, damaging and blinding nearby foes. 1/4 cast time. 20s recharge. (à la Belly Smash)

5. Bestial Mauling: immobilize target foe with a strike to the shin (2s), the next attack by your pet causes daze (2s)/ 3/4 cast time. 30s recharge (à la classic Hammer Bash+Bestial Mauling)

Ok this … this is what unbalance looks like. So maybe hammer , ridiculous OP weapon of doom , no please.

Either way … they most likely will add more weapons anyway , im wondering if they will add new kinds or make professions simple learn to use weapons they could not before. (Also wonder on the date , wish it was before the next exp , that will take a long while)

Honestly , i think it would depend on Anet approach.

Personally , i think it would be simple to add a few legendaries of each kind, so people could actually one that suits them.

The problem with people is that they feel they must be there for everything , just enjoy the game.

What matter is that , there is content for everyone , not that everyone can do all the content.

Casuals will not get legandaries … in the first 3 years , tons of people could not do the CT , some people could not watch the cinematic , and so on.

I was actually at LA , when the cinematic started , my PC crashed … awesome right? Think i should ask them to instance these events , so my PC do not overload from having tons and tons of people on screen at the same time and then jump to a cinematic.

For centaurs i agree , they would also make an awesome race to be played , but would be hell for Anet to implement such different race , so also dont see it happening.

I think you misunderstood him. i think he means a copy world , would work similar to WvW , but using the world map for battle ground.

And this is PvP … there is little lore sense in it completely. All about being in the mists … which is the excuse for … well anything Anet wants there.

There is one big problem in this, the races number in totally uneven.

That means , humans would zerg the other 4 … well maybe norn would actually fight back , but humans would easily zerg the other 3 less played races.

Honestly … dont matter how much people ask here , i can bet these slots are selling like crazy anyway.

So will the prices drop any time soon? No , most likely they wont.

Maybe 1 or 2 years from now they will … well , i wont be asking for my money back then , i think the investment now , when i could got the names i wanted , made up for waiting years to create the chars.

Of all races i have seen in this game till now , Largos is by far the coolest.

Hope they make them out first , while i understand it might be tengu … even if i would never use a giant ugly bird.

What Genreninja said! I belong to guilds that appeal to me. I rep each guild as I can. If no one is on a guild or I can’t entice people to chat or play with me, I hop to the next guild. It saddens me that I cannot chat will all of my guilds simultaneously and that gchat clears everytime I hop.

There are many kinds of guilds , join a small one with no rules regarding representation…

On a big guild , not representing is usually a kicking matter … the true problem to me is not kicking the not representing , is kicking people who represent a good amount of time but i dont see…

I support only the low HP one , that would help.

Honestly i disagree , the price should be what it is.

Chars are important things in a MMO , to say one is worth 10$ bucks is nothing abnormal.

Yes , the tool to make sure officers and leaders can check when players last represented and logged in , is real necessary atm.

Fact is , there is no reason to give a slot to a player who does not want to represent , mostly , our guild , even when we got 500 slots.

For now we got a “work around” , which does not work 100% and make us kick some active players also , but at least the guild is alive. Still i guess would grief less the members if they knew they would not get kicked unfairly, while would make our work go down a lot.

I agree with this , god im having to use my alts now … do plz increase the size Anet.

Yes, this is a MMO. It requires millions dollars every month or years just to maintain the servers. The ones that help fund them are usually those dedicated players. If the game doesn’t appeals to dedicated players, they will leave the game sooner or later. So no matter if they have RNG in monthly events, the ones who actually spend in RNG are no longer in the game. To prevent that, they must start awarding the dedicated players. Something that set apart between dedicated players and very casual players.

Ofc we do , if the game is about looks , it is about looks , getting a legendary should never give any kind of advantage and end of story.

Also , what made you think the hardcore farmers are the ones who keep this game going money wise?
Heh , ofc it is not , first because they are the minority , so even if they do spend some money , that wont really amount to much.
Second , why would people who farm and are sick rich , spend more money on gems? They can buy gems with gold , and they usually got tons and tons of gold.

Casuals , the people who dont have tons of gold to get all event items from ingame game to begin with , those are the ones who buy gems for the most part.

Seems fun , but most likely will make complains about balance reach a whole new level.

The problem is , not all heavy armor is actual plate armor.

Some are chain mail , which makes perfect sense to not be static.

I think it would be nice also that every armor gets it own treatment , but i understand it would be a pain to Anet.
