I think the difference is that most that want to see this kind of thing happen try to think of ways to make it so while not ruining it for other sort of players. WHile those apposed seem to be of the mind that screw those that want it cos their view is the only one that counts.

That is simple because , even if they dont , it is unlike they lose.

Atm like i said , the game works one way , the way it is promised to work. If we get 50/50 of the player base on this matter (just an example) , for the people on the side against the change a simple : “Horrible idea , i dont like it , will stop playing if this ever goes on” , is enough to stop the change most likely.

Therefore it falls to the party that wants the change to happen to try to convince players to their side , making any amount of changes they need to original idea till they can convince enough players to join them.

It is not strange at all players defend with a simple : “No, stupid idea” , they are on the advantage , they are simple using it.

Have you ever considered that your view on whats fun isnt the only one in the world? You do realise that because of the way the endgame has been done that people have mainly done all the story and explorerer modes. Alot of folks dont find things fun once its been done the once unless they have something to work for. Ya know that to some people (alot of people) they enjoy (aka have fun) chasing things that improve their toons.

The problem with this , is that it goes both ways.

While you think this would add a new level of fun , i think this would directly diminish the fun i have ingame atm…

This stalemate is the problem , we got player on both sides right now. How to decide who is right? Cant really be done since this a matter of opinion.

All i can say is that this game was promised my way , so unless your side one day get the smashing majority , i dont see this changing.

I agree to this , they are hell to get , once there , at least they should be acc bound so people can trade it chars anytime.

While i agree, mine also sound … wrong , simple changing would mean our norn would begin say stuff like:

I can run faster than a centaur. (or something similar to this)

Would be really nice to have more than one voice pack / char to pick from , but voice over is not cheap and takes a lot of work to get done.

I got 3 lvls 80 , ele/guard/necro.

Only time i find my ele more useful than the other 2 is when i go wvw.

So yeah i think they are quite broken, and many agree with me.

Fact is , most of the times i compare these 3 , using either necro/guard is a faceroll near using the ele.

Well i think this would be nice , i also would want an option to turn off all other people titles from my screen. names already are annoying on big events , dont need titles in there also making an even bigger mess.

Honestly what eles NEED is a lot of balancing , im sure one day Anet will get to them , most likely last since they are much harder to balance than others.

But even while i got a ele lvl 80 , weapon swap would be OP. For now i will simple use my others 80s , ele is a very fun class , but not worthy it atm.

this way you can easily weed out people who either left hte game or just aren’t representing.

Atm in the game , you can pick not to use asura if this is a feature you “need/want” , simple as that , you can pass on the race and pick other , you can then ask for them to add it.

IF they add this , tons(im 100% sure would the majority) , think you just broke their chars … literally , they made A (sometimes spend hours making that one perfect char like me) and you made A become B … you destroyed the char.

What would happen in that case? Tons of players , not asking , but demanding a race change to be implemented , simple cause Anet made a MAJOR change to race. Now ask yourself , what are the chances of Anet adding a race change?

So unless you believe that race changes are coming , better stop believing this is.

That goes for every MMO.

And i dont like that idea , because i dont like it.

GW2 is not a place for progressive gear , that is a very annoying kind of gameplay.

Im quite happy with looks only progression.

Anet already said they dont want to add another class simple because each class you add makes a mess on the balance , and makes balancing forever after that harder also.

Still im also waiting on a third heavy armor user , 3/3/3 seems reasonable to me.

Honestly , it would be really ,really hard for the devs to find a way to give fair recognition to players in WvW. Player can be helping in many ways , and some of them is simple scouting and passing information , those are helping a lot.

Your point system will simple create even bigger zergs of AoEing people. I for one got an ele , and i know she would get far more points then my guardian for example.

A threat large enough that no amount of assassinations would be effective, so why exactly do they continue to raise generations of specially trained solo-operatives when what they clearly need is to train up an army?

It is a magical world , hell the sylvari were created from a guy that planted a single seed…after that largos could be born from pretty much anything.

Second , maybe they have a norn kind of thinking , where what matters is the personal achivment over the whole. Cause the best army the norn could raise had 5/6 people and one of them was only there cause she wanted to be with her father if i remm correctly.

Point is, Dungeons are group content. Go making everything solo-able and that’ll pretty much be the death of group-play, since no-one would bother going to look for groups if they can do things on their own.

Well , that is not really true.

Most of us could have soloed MK , still it would take much longer than inside a party , thus most picked that option.

Trust me buddy, i’m on the same boat as you when it comes to not buying a single gem with real money. But there are people who do buy gems with money, and plenty at that rate too. and for them, there needs to be something worth buying. If black lion keys dropped as rapidly as wanted, they wouldn’t be worth anything in the gem store, meaning less influx of money for Anet. I’m all for making everything in the gem store cosmetic (which is why i was happily surprised that i could purchase the deluxe edition with gems. Saved my GF 20 bucks when she bought this game for my birthday), but there needs to be enough incentive to buy things from the gem store with real money for those who have the money to spend.

if black lion chest keys dropped as often as you would have them, there would be no worth in buying them from the gem store. Anet has to make money through the gem store for there to be more content in the future.

All i will state here is that Anet said with the box sales ALONE , they would make money enough to keep GW2 running , thus the reason cash shop would always be cometic.

Still i understand a company point of view , it is good to make the most money you can.

That means after farming one zone “too much” , your rewards for doing it will get lower and lower.

If it is for the legendary , the items are account bound (at least i dont know any soulbind one ), thus you can farm karma on many chars buy the items and make it for your main.

About the matter itself , i also hit DR fast , solutions are either use plus chars or rotating farm areas.

Just dont forget that , without DR , everyone will get more things , this does not mean anyone will become richer since prices will change to everyone.

Yeah , i really want to create a largos or kodan , and would like to give it a go on another heavy armor.

People got friends on many servers , sometimes they want to play with said friends , even when they are not RPers , also could happen that they are on a Overflow from their on server and ended up on the “RP” server ( did Anet ever even given a server this title? i only remm players deciding over this themselves)

I dislike many RPers , self entitlement , that is a thing that drives me up to the walls. Players should be able to , inside Anet rules , do what they want , like usually RPers want people to allow them to do.

Still i would appreciate if Anet separated their server , never entering it even by accident is something i would consider a win.

Well honestly they are mostly a waste of time.

While great ,other than the asura one , the others dont really call that much attention (unless you use norn with horns). This few people would even notice you are with them , even fewer would know what exactly is the armor you are using cause well … only few even among the rich would spend that much money on this.

So it is a armor , that does not call attention and gives 0 status among other players …
Better buy something cheaper that people would actually be impressed you have.

Less you are an asura , then the lights on the armor would actually help you.

Haha same , i simple had to have that staff , but now that i actually got it , i think the animations look strange and sometimes they bug and simple wont move anymore.

I dislike mechanical mounts myself , worst thing in SWTOR to me , yes out of all the other stuff , is that lack of animal mounts.

Hell i would pick a horse over any bike anytime.

Also , i support mounts cause i find them beautiful and amazing , and i think on a game like GW2 , based on looks over all else , they would fit like a glove.

Lets me point it out to you that , if you think that most of the people of the world support gay marriage , you are either blind , or living inside a very small bubble.

The media may help showing that , many and many do so , and many begin do so also more and more , but today , just no. At least if you dont consider the BIG centers , where this is actually a discussion subject.

Personally , just like in real life i would not care , 0 support , 0 adversity , they keep it to themselves , i keep it to myself , we dont talk and we all live doing our own thing.

Also , if they are adding a wedding feature anyway , think they should add this also , let people do whatever they want.
