those looking for skins, don’t even bother doing any other levels but 48. At lower levels all you get is rings. I did a 48 yesterday after like a week of not doing fotm and got another fractal hammer
That couldn’t be further from the truth actually, from what I’ve seen 38 has just as much chance for a skin as 48 does. Over months and months of experience.
I got a fractal GS at my first level 20 when fotm was released, 3 dailies later i got another fractal weapon in daily 20’s. You will get fractal weps on other levels but gl even coming close to the amount you get at 48 and i say this by experience, not tell you what some random dude told me.

I am fine. I feel myself better than in other games like Aion. BTW this game requires better processors, not video cards. So i always play on max settings. You can try max settings too, no impact at all.
With 100 people around servers lag sometimes, but my fps is good.

Granted, I have no idea what you think is a “good” FPS, but industry standard is usually to aim at your monitor’s refresh rate, which is 60 FPS in most cases.
I would wager your “good” FPS with 100 ppl on the screen would be below 30 FPS which by any standard should not be “good”.
But if you’re happy with it, all the power to you.

tried to run it instead of 30 in illusions (20/20/0/30/0) just for fun in pvp and sweet jesus, never again…….. Illusions take half a century to recharge (sucks for decoy/mirror images), shatter CD soooo slow without dat 30%, no shattered strength, illusionary retribution, way less damage without IP and less daze/distortion when needed and instead get crappy traits from inspiration which suck for shatter builds (other than cleanse shatter) lol never again. Unless we had 80 points to distribute, then i’d run 0/20/0/30/30 and that would own for sure (would miss boon stripping tho)

How exactly does a 0.25 second cooldown “improve balance”?
How much does it really bother you that it takes 0.25 seconds longer to finish off a target quicker?
The exploit was that people had multiple shatter effects on a single illusion. They added a 0.25 second cooldown to prevent that.
The issue seems fixed to me.
did you read the tread i posted? devs themselves said its a bandaid until they find out the bug. What if i want to F1-F3-F2 on someone? That’s clearly more than 0.25 of a delay but close to a second. How it prevents balance? i have no idea, its first people on this thread who’ve said so and i believe that’s what many think.

Neer have i ever attempted a shatter which dient activate because of that vooldown. What reason do you possibly have to use shatters so quickly in a row?
To finish off a target quicker? But that’s not really the point. If devs came out and officially stated that .25sec will stay permanent to improve balance then that’s fine and time to move on, what annoys me is that they haven’t addressed the issue in six months.

You SHOULD lose your stacks when you change to a new map. It would be unfair if you moved a large force into a new map and everyone had 25 stacks….
If you are so worried about your stacks, get a secondary set of weapons (mainhand and offhand) with your stacking sigil in both, equip them, kill stuff fast, then go back to your main weapons. This is what dedicated players do.

imho, this doesn’t impact anyone as you can’t make more clones to shatter faster than 0.25s — unless you are concerned that the self-shatter trait is kitten with a 0.25s delay on jamming your F-keys. Even if that’s the case, it’s hardly impacting anyone. I’m being generous here as “hardly” is an overstatement at best.

Hmmmm lets see, it sold over 3 million, it already has BUNCH of gem store items and no a single new armor was added since the game came out that isn’t on a gem store again. Even if they had no gem store, the 3 mil games sold alone made them a tones of money for new content but nope, gem store is in the game, has a tone of overpriced things in it and they’re making boatload of money over their 3million initial sales.

You know why i say that? because no matter how you try, in our day and age a game won’t be running 1-5fps and gw2 runs at ~10… its REALLY hard to not achieve better… I know for a fact this game which i haven’t even heard before the person who’ve posted this video will run at over 10fps because engine they’re using isn’t almost a decade old.
Might I suggest actually installing the game on a computer that meets the minimum requirements then?
Getting around 10 FPS would most likely suggest that there is issues at your end, rather than at the games end, since people are reporting up to 40-50 FPS even in big zergs.

Hell, I know my choke point is my connection, it’s only isdn, but the cable ends a kilometer from the house and the cable company wont lay more this way. Still, avging mid 300k dl is good enough.

the reason i made this thread. i knew people would come with their sarcastic bs “How long is the ICD” but what they don’t understand is that it doesn’t matter. This was supposed to be fixed and fixed long time ago. Nothing been done and they let it broken like dozens of other skills/traits in this game.
How long it has been in place is irrelevant. How badly is it affecting players, and is it worse than other things that need a developer’s time?
If the answers are “not affecting many player’s ability to play mesmers” and “not as bad as other issues”, then it will not be prioritized, regardless of how long it has been in place.

Whats the saying, People in glass houses……GW2 had/has it’s fair share of bugs.
All I know is that in GW2 fighting a dragon = Stand in the same place and hit a foot.
In the last Bethesda (only got buggy for me when I modded it to hell and back) game, well, I didn’t hit many dragon feet or stand in the same place for the duration of the fight either especially with the harder dragons mod.

When I’m fighting Jormag, I never hit Jormag, I prefer dealing with the champs/vets instead, let the afkers kill the boss. And you are comparing a world boss with 100 other players around you with a single player game boss?? Seriously? Try killing Lupicus while afk and compare that fight with any dragon fight (or any fight) in Skyrim. Try to compare things that can be compared, if you like getting carried by others that do all the work for you and you just stand there, then yes you will only afk, if you want to earn your loot/exp then it’s different.
Now which fight will people remember: Lupicus or Alduin. I for one already forgot Alduin.
I hardly doubt TESO will have mods, when people realise they can’t move around with the armor of Ezio or with the hair or Lara Croft, or have a floating castle as their home, or look like a Space Marine they will be mad. TES without mods is boring as hell

And you honestly think there is any amount of people that bought Skyrim on PC and not use mods? I don’t have any kind of data to back it up, but I seriously doubt anyone that plays Skyrim (or Oblivion, or Morrowind) plays without mods, or even bought the game to play it without mods. Mods have always been essential to the TES series and there are some amazing mods there that for example make the DLCs for Skyrim child’s play in comparison.
What’s your point? the game is coming to x1 and ps4 so those same consolites will buy it like they bought Skyrim. You use mods on pc because you can and its free, not because its a so called requirement for an ES game.

Idk why you are comparing those skills in 2 completely diferent classes. Thieves are the masters of stealth, not mesmers, and good thing we dont have that much aviable stealth!
If a mesmer had just as much stealth as a thief basically you would have 1 sec to kill it thx to blurred frenzy, not to mention we can still dmg ppl while stealthed thx to clones and phantasm wich we can cast from stealth without breaking it.
So why thieves get a skill like SR and mesmers MI? Well, diferent classes that have completly diferent mechanics. Tbh i think mesmers stealths are fine as they are, they add missdirection while not being gamebreaking. I wouldt mind less casting time on MI, but thats it.
One is an elite skill and the other is just an utility. the elite skill has a much longer CD, much longer casting time and cloaks you for twice less time. This makes sense to you? If they were both utilities or both were elite skills i’d agree with you for the fact that thief is supposed to have ‘better’ stealth but its not the case so its impossible to agree. MI does nothing to feel elite while SR feels like the perfect elite while not even being one.

this is pathetic but Microsoft did the same after E3 X1’s ****storm by deleting everything negative on their official youtube page but there was so much negativity from everyone that they just blocked all comments lmao. Mods deleting negative comments (this was on this forum as well but i noticed it got better, you can at least be negative/give reason why you dislike something and not be 100% moderated and message deleted) just shows how many people were disappointed with gw2 and how much it failed to deliver.
By this logic, every single MMORPG is disappointing and fails to deliver. All of them, including WoW, Rift, Lotro, because every single MMORPG’s game forums are predominantly negative.
So what you’re really saying is all MMOs suck. Because I’ve not found a single MMORPG with official forums that are predominantly positive.

Well, you make negative statements because you personally don’t like the game, many of which don’t stand up to scrutiny.
Saying people are complaining so the game is bad would apply to every MMO out there. This isn’t theory, it’s fact. If you can’t deal with the facts, that’s fine too. At least we’re forewarned.
i state the negativity because i want this game to be better, it deserves to be better. You completely ignore all negativity and live in your dreamworld where GW2 is the absolute perfection. That’s the difference. Well, if take Prismatic Understanding you can get 6s of stealth out of Veil; which makes it pretty comparable to Mass Invisibility if you use it just for yourself (or have a very well-organised team).
1. you need to stay close to veil which isn’t something you can always do and 2. its on 90sec CD for 2-3sec stealth and 4-6sec if you sleep on it. Not very impressive if you ask me.
I didn’t say anything about impressiveness, I said it is comparable to MI, which is also 6s stealth on a 90s CD.
lets not put PU as if this trait was used by absolutely everyone… Its 4sec vs 5sec and to get those 4sec from Veil you have to be stuck in same spot while you can move with MI… so the reality is 2sec vs 5.

I laugh as well, a buggy mess like all Bethesda games is coming and somehow people think it will offer any kind of challenge for Guild Wars 2? Yeah right.

Whats the saying, People in glass houses……GW2 had/has it’s fair share of bugs.
All I know is that in GW2 fighting a dragon = Stand in the same place and hit a foot.
In the last Bethesda (only got buggy for me when I modded it to hell and back) game, well, I didn’t hit many dragon feet or stand in the same place for the duration of the fight either especially with the harder dragons mod.
Which fight will people remember the most favourably I wonder? You seriously don’t think things like that will have an effect on peoples decisions?
When I’m fighting Jormag, I never hit Jormag, I prefer dealing with the champs/vets instead, let the afkers kill the boss. And you are comparing a world boss with 100 other players around you with a single player game boss?? Seriously? Try killing Lupicus while afk and compare that fight with any dragon fight (or any fight) in Skyrim. Try to compare things that can be compared, if you like getting carried by others that do all the work for you and you just stand there, then yes you will only afk, if you want to earn your loot/exp then it’s different.
Now which fight will people remember: Lupicus or Alduin. I for one already forgot Alduin.
I hardly doubt TESO will have mods, when people realise they can’t move around with the armor of Ezio or with the hair or Lara Croft, or have a floating castle as their home, or look like a Space Marine they will be mad. TES without mods is boring as hell

You know why i say that? because no matter how you try, in our day and age a game won’t be running 1-5fps and gw2 runs at ~10… its REALLY hard to not achieve better… I know for a fact this game which i haven’t even heard before the person who’ve posted this video will run at over 10fps because engine they’re using isn’t almost a decade old.
Might I suggest actually installing the game on a computer that meets the minimum requirements then?
Getting around 10 FPS would most likely suggest that there is issues at your end, rather than at the games end, since people are reporting up to 40-50 FPS even in big zergs.
No kidding. Or upgrade from his 56k modem. I tend to the 50’s. Having a bad time if I bottom out mid 20s in a zerg. Or maybe he meant himself when he was raggin on ppl who got their comps from bestbuy. And most of my settings are on high. You can do that with a liquid cooled quadcore, real vidcard, with 16 gb ram. (TB solidstate HD too, but not like that affects my connection). Hell, I know my choke point is my connection, it’s only isdn, but the cable ends a kilometer from the house and the cable company wont lay more this way. Still, avging mid 300k dl is good enough.
what exactly are you even talking about? wtf does a connection has to do with anything? I have 15down/5up or i was supposed to have over 100up to play this game at “i tend to the 50’s”? Do you even know how to monitor your fps before talking? Why do you even bring liquid cooling lmao and then you talk about “real vidcard”? what is this supposed to mean exactly? Are you playing on onboard gpu and get those amazing performances no one in gw2 is getting? get real and land on planet earth. Playing with an onboard ship and talks about fps while others have computers build for gaming…
