Ask a friend/guildie to help ya out on this, its quite easy. Clear mobs till last room, you stay on top while your friend/guildie makes the boss ram the mobs.
I don’t think the siege that you can’t counter is a valid complaint. Many spots on ABL giving same (dis)advantage.
When they made the HoT classes I don’t think they spent a minute to think about WvW.
If they did they would have made new and interesting combo fields that would have redefined the WvW experience. Instead they just increased the amount of condi, ccs, healing and damage spikes for Raids and let the kittenstorm fall on WvW.
There is no hope for WvW until the next expansion is release. Even the whole 2016 year that was supposed to be focused around WvW post HoT’s launch has barely has been a huge disappointment. Barely anything got done at all, they just made bunch of polls to distract the community and delay everything until the next xpac.

So my question for you is:
What scenarios should the training map cover?-Talk to an NPC
-choose zerg or roaming mode
-zerg mode: after 5 seconds you will be overrolled by 50 NPC’s
-roaming mode: after 5 seconds you will be instantly killed by 3 dragonhunters and 2 stealthed daredevils
-On screen message: “Congratulations, you’ve completed the WvW tutorial. Get used to it.”
“scout mode”- get instantly ported on a wall with 50 aoe rings and think “this wall is supposed to help defenders rather then attackers”
That rifle ability has the largest telegraph and takes like 30 minutes to fire, it’s fine, dodge it.
Duel an asura warrior and say that again.
Even i got the pve autoloot feature, and i barely pve.
Also happens with bloodlust. You can have both of them and event ui top right still tells ya you can cap it, plus they stay grey when you cap one.
Simple solution for ANet to fix:
- Giant Road Signs that show players the 3 exit routes from a Spawn point.
Anet cannot help those people who cannot use their brain.
There are more then 1 routes out of each spawn, plus multiple maps. And if ktraining without resistance is all you want to do there is still this thing called EOTM.

This is why you will never see a map completion method in WvW.
Actually that used to be part of it. But the many pitchforks and torch raids from the pve’rs worked in the end so anet removed it.

Remove stealth so people wont have to use traps to counter all the bullcrap.
Don’t know what kind of magic trick you use but me and my guildies tried EVERYTHING and these messages still popping into our face.
So ya an option to turn them off, or relocate em somewhere else ( like above minimap ) would be greatly appreciated.

I dont mind dbl that much since they removed the barricades ( shouldn’t have been a thing in first place) and opened up some space for easier travelling. However i think its better to have 2 weeks of 3x abl and 1 week of 3x dbl so all servers have to deal with the same stuff at the same time.
I’m happy they made an option to revert this. So people who like the dots can have them on, and those who do not like it, can change it back to what it has been for 4+ years now.
This is completely in line with their vision they have with skirmishing, where the underdog servers have a chance to catch up!

This is pretty much spot on, it will just enable the dominant server to get bigger wins.
That’s indeed a problem but what incentive you have to attack T3 objectives when you can capture paper ones and have the same effect? I think the ideal would be if the upgrades on objectives reseted with each skirmish, making you have to work toward upgrading them if you intent to make them T3 for the points.
To get a fight which has happened 4+ years now. Unless you have a ktrain that doesn’t want to fight but only ktrain.
If you want to have them reset every 2 hours you might want to request a rework of the amount of dolyaks as its quite harsh to get a keep to t3 in less then 2 hours.

The only things in wvw that are affected by magic find- that I’m aware of- are the lootbags that drop to the ground (unless you got auto loot on).

Lmao, auto loot is literally the best investment you can make to streamline your experience.
As far as OP, I believe it is not affected. Neither is ranked up chests but you can get ascended off a rank up.
Also chance on ascended drop from the reward track chests, had a couple from them so far.
Flax fibers instead of tomes would work for me to maintain guild upgrades with.
The major overhaul was probably the repair hammer/ cannon blueprints and the mix of abl with dbl.
I rather being kicked for 30min then having a whole day of servers down.
Sure shut down eotm, won’t give an influx to wvw anyway as people there treat it as queensdale 2.0 champtrain.
The way anet treats wvw and its balance is one of my main issue.
Bet Archonwings suggestion will be accepted as anet is not far from it at all.
No changes needed. Small groups should not be able to take upgraded structures.
Solo players should be able to take upgraded structures on their own if the defending side is too busy not taking care about scouting/defending.
Remove watchtower. We already have sentries and white swords.
Amen. Nothing wrong with fortified gates though as most squads will go for walls anyway these days.
GoB is like 2% of the total grind and you complain about that? Wvw players have to endure 98% of crap to get their legendary.

I am amazed how some people want and prefer that a single miserable guy is able to even cap a castle (if he is strong enough to kill the lord) alone by himself in a place where solo things shouldnt exist, wvw isnt mean for you to solo around
There is no logic behind for have solo stuff in wvw at all, that some stuff let you be able doesnt mean that it was designed for go that way
If one guy manages to solo a keep it is not his fault, but the fault of the “defending” side.
What you suggest completely kills off solo roaming but guess you don’t do that..
Targetting sucks in this game, always did. Whats also annoying, losing your target for no reason. Just poof.
Only once. Was with the first tourney and Underworld turned out to be bottom silver so 90% of wvw population moved. Kinda was a transfer or quit game situation.
Camp timer/swords are triggered as soon you aggro any guard these days. But ya takes like 10sec to wrap em up in one bunch, aoe and dead.
There’s already more then enough siege in this game. For this i’d say, less is more.
Gratz. I was on 12K+ before revamp but sadly no screenshot to back that up.
Edit: Incase you wonder how, run around the borderlands and hug every dolyak 10-15sec to claim “escort” credit.

Very complex, multi-lvl map with tons of tiny objectives like sentries, shrines. Very few way points, couple jumping puzzles with something worth defending at the end. We could write stories with such map.
Sounds like a good description of what DBL was at launch.
Just got my free key from store which gave me a glider skins, cant complain its bad. But spending gems on it is a nogo as the drops are terrible.
Just encountered this too. Was using emergency waypoint and after a 2min+ loadscreen (usually >10sec) i ended up at spawn.
If its troublesome, gank the owner kite the minions.
