@Pagan, I wonder did it depend on what timezone you where in to see who was arguing on SoR back then, me and my friends all left when the backstabbing became to much, we watched people bad mouth commanders etc on TS who where actually tagged up, while the very people who where doing the bad mouthing sat in private channels on TS and ran tagless with there guilds, in an ironic twist of fate, some of them people moved to another T1 server and started the same drama all over again,
I think SoR was just unlucky that they had a stable community that was doing well, they then had a massive influx of players that really pushed there coverage up, with that 6 months of coverage older SoR community members joined newer guilds and forged new friends therefore when the guilds moved on they went with them, so the coverage dropped,
Id say that for SoR its important not to let 1 or 2 people get power crazy like before and ruin it for nearly everyone who uses your TS/Vent/Mumble, but alas I have no doubt SoR community is as strong as ever, as before mega server they always had good coverage, im sure they will move back up as they regroup there community, and I wish them luck.
From the first video it looks like they are under the map, as the rockets from the golem are coming straight threw the floor, good news is there have been devs floating about ingame now on BL’s just to monitor this very thing,
I don’t know why Anet just don’t make it that under the map is complete out of bounds and you take 200,000 damage a second while under there, this would prevent the map breakouts just to cheat.

And it hasn’t been patched, this should be right at the top of the bug fixes, if new players cannot create characters why would they stay to play the game, this really needs dev attention.
I think they had a 300 cap in there thinking it would take people along time to get to it, whereas it really hasn’t, of course the cap could also be in place as a target for the “causal” player, but as those who have capped to 300 are more than causal maybe Anet to need to look at it again,
I think if they allowed us to boost other stats with it at say a pre set 30k per 1% that would also work, the only think we shouldn’t beable to boost is coin gathered,
1% to karma
1% to XP
1% to WxP
And allow us to cap these to 100-300% also, its small things like this that keep people interested as its like another goal, I personally getting fed up of destroying things I cannot use anymore, just because I play more than other people, or want to hit goals that other people do not want to hit.
All they have to do it, make it that when you hit 300% it can only go up 1% per day thereafter and increase the cost to 50,000 luck per level,
This would allow you to continue to use luck without wasting it, but still allowing others to catch up.
The PPK should have been in place since day 1, it makes sense to gain points on actually killing your enemy rather than capping an unmanned tower…
If that is real and not a made up screen shot, that is truly dedication to farming, it kills me to get to like 50 without opening, you have over 16000 lol, your going to end up with like 300,000 dust.
I don’t agree with increasing the cap – it’s basically a “rich getting richer” situation.
However I do agree that theres should be another use for luck. Or just remove luck from the loot table when someone has maxed out luck?
MF does not make you rich, I have been at 300% cap for 6months+ now and I think ive had 3 exotics drop, MF is just a fancy name for RnG, the only way the rich would get richer from MF is if they could sell the Essences of Luck.
I would like to see another use for essence of luck, I put a suggestion in months ago where it could be used to boost WxP gain on account, or Coin gain, XP gain etc just like how MF was boosted but like most suggestions it was overlooked.
I like many others in the game have already hit the 300% cap on MF, but now we are getting MF from daily login from wintersday gifts etc etc, it seems stupid to let this go to waste when we could be boosting the MF,
Even if you use a dynamic cap on it so that when you hit 300% you can only boost it 5% a week thereafter, we need to move away from this well the new guys will have 0% as there are always going to be new players or players that don’t want to boost MF and the rest are being held back because of this,
So please either increase the cap or put an NPC ingame that we can trade these essences of luck for something we can use.
On the BLTC it says its 44% off
On my screen it has 2000 with a line threw it, and then the new price of 1600 gems,
Surely that’s 20% off
I thought it might have said 2800 and the line was hiding the 8 but even that doesn’t add up as 44% off that brings it to 1530 odd gems.
Be careful what you say here, as I found out,
I spoke to a few people ingame who have played the game since pre release the same as me, and they said it makes no sense the reply given, as you can enter PvP with teams, they found it more bizarre given its PvE content, them like others are now concerned that going forward making parties will be a thing of the past, and we’ve had no reassurance this is not the case, im afraid going forward the only way to get the point across for me will be to abandon buying any gems or anything from the gem store,
This should have been tested long long before this update went live, and they should have known how unpopular it would be when they make it that friends/family cannot play together, it seems like a step backwards.
Actually after just what happened in the bug section im thinking that bug reports are useless,
If this is how bugs are dealt with going forward is there much point in reporting them, when all we get told now is its for the best, and lock the topic….

LOL so basically in a nutshell those who play everyday and login every day got royally screwed by the new daily login patch, and those who login every now and then get rewarded, would LOVE for the DEV who decided that at the Monday morning meeting to come here and post why.
Those 3 achievements are done even faster than the old ones.. i like it..
Ok so I posted before patching, and I agree they are fast, and you can mix and match them, and you get a chest for each daily which gives rewards for that daily, so far this seems like a simple system, and should be ok.
Its way to early to tell, seeing as we don’t know what the rewards are going to be for the daily logins etc, if it turns out to be a massive nerf, it will hurt them more in the long run, don’t expect a reply on this topic from a Dev they tend to avoid all topics that go against what they believe in.
The only issue I can see with linking the dailies to certain events is it could restrict some players, say they use Teq for example,
12am <—sleeping
8am <—heading to work/school
4pm<—still at work/school
I don’t know why they are restricting it, maybe this is just an intro and they will add more dailies to it, unless the rewards are outstanding for doing this now, but I think that for a game that is play the way you want, but if you do and don’t play the way we want you to play you wont get rewarded, is the wrong way to go.
I find that auto log out sometimes randomly does not work, there have been instances for me where I walk away from the computer for a few hours and come back and my toon is still standing in the same place, yet other times it kicks me out of game.
The items you get at login are to replace all drops ingame, its the new RnG system, get lucky at login, then you don’t have to actually play that day LOL
I like this change, because now I can continue to ignore the WvW and PvP dailies like I did before, but then again, I didn’t really care about getting the max every single day, just completing the daily. Now if they want they can eliminate the max cap on the dailies, I did the calculation and it would only have taken someone 833+ days(2.2+ years) to reach the total daily max, at which point you would no longer have incentive to do them.
Remember though when dailies where first in game they used to give 5 AP’s per each completed one, not 1AP,
Also it never took me 4-6 hours to do them, even in the very early days it would only take you 45mins to an hour,
They where capped hard because the ultra casuals could not keep up with the players who play daily, so the players who play daily got the beat down, and ever since Anet has been playing and changing the game for the ultra casuals, everyone else go home.
They need a DYNAMIC cap, if they don’t, when I hit the Daily cap for AP, ill just leave and go play elsewhere, but each to there own, AP is not a sign of skill, but some of us use it for fun between friends, stop the fun, stop playing.
Finally, in a release coming early next year, we will merge the existing daily and monthly achievement point caps into one pool. This will allow players to continue working toward the maximum point totals for the daily achievement system without the existence of monthly achievements. “What about the rewards from the existing daily and monthly achievements? What about the laurels and Mystic Coins?” you might be asking. Well, fear not!
Ok so my question here is, we have monthly points capped, and daily points capped ( both have hard caps ) if you combine the daily/monthly together are you combining the caps, or is there a new cap, will we hit this target faster, are we going to see a dymanic cap pool so that it will continue to grow the longer we play the game, or is there just 1 hard cap and tough luck if you play more than someone else??
Im not sure why the AP’s are capped to be honest, im not sure why you would restrict the players for playing your game longer, what are the new caps being introduced, me and a few friends play and to AP hunt for fun, if this is restricted and or removed why bother at all……..

These achievements are glitched badly, we did it tonight and a teammate didn’t get hit at all in the first battle, yet didn’t get achieve, the badge for the achieve was still there, I also didn’t get hit yet someone lost the achieve for the 2nd battle before even finishing the first one,
I don’t mind challenging content, but to not to beable to get something because of a bug/ glitches seems kind of unfair, 3 times we tried this and it still randomly removed the achieve/wouldn’t give the achievement.
Some items when you salvage give more than 1 item, if you have a full inventory you are salvaging 1 item but maybe need 2 spaces.
Its bugged for all parties, including dungeons/fractals also, its like instant refresh, I don’t know how that got past the testers………
If there was money to be made in porting, all you would see would be mesmers all over the maps, enough said,
I have seen several mesmers that have said porting for tips etc, ive only seen 1 Mesmer do this recently in the new area to get a coin, after I watched them themselves being ported up by another Mesmer, so I brought my Mesmer there and ported people up for free for 30 mins.
The New JP cannot be ported threw seeing as you must hit the 9 milestones.
So im trying to play sPvP my team is 425-300 points up, then the famous lag starts, 2 of us get error 7 DC’d ( different parts of the world ) when we get back in the other team has won 500-425 and I get no reward at all,
THE DAM LAG IS KILLING YOUR GAME ALREADY, I don’t mind losing a match but to lose a match by something that is out of my control and getting no reward is just bad.
I don’t understand why they are changing it at all now after reading some posts, it would make sense if a dev is working on dungeons, they go to the dungeon section, if they are a WvW dev they go to the WvW section etc etc, now they will have to read threw 40 pages of crap to get to maybe 1 important topic, OR maybe they wont, because now they can say the new forum specialists missed it,
You need to go to whatever dev/team member asked for this change and tell them the feedback from the community the forums are for, do not want certain sub forums merged together, this update to the forum which is not needed, is going to drive more and more people away from it, if that’s your intended goal, you’d prob be better just saying that to be honest.
This update will not improve communications with Anet and the community, it will just widen them further, espically when less people are even bothering to log into the forums.
First let me address the “US resident” thing. It breaks my heart when we have to do this — for contests, for this program, for other things — but we really must do it for legal reasons. Different countries have different definitions of volunteer work and we simply do not have the means to have the program reviewed and adjusted to conform to multiple legal requirements that may apply to any given volunteer opportunity.
I think a lot of potential good candidates wont be eligible simply because of the USA requirement.

This makes no sense, your asking for people to help, they know the terms set before they take part in this, what your asking is for people to send feedback from the forums etc, how is this any different from what we do now????
I was a moderator for a global chatsite back in the day, they where not UK based, it was volunteer based, we had no issues, how does this even involve legal, as you are not giving away goods related to this,
Events ingame that involve prizes I can see having issues as some countries do have strange laws on that sort of thing.
In challenge mode this is stupid, we tried this for an hour as a 3 man party, we get him down to 20% then he spawns eles of death all over the place, you cant evade as you only get 2 evades and you need about 50 its nearly impossible to avoid the walls of instant death that come from 5 sides at the same time,
Im all up for any challenge in the game, but this is just an armor repair battle.
After reading some of your replies Gaile, maybe they shouldn’t consider this reshuffle of the forums, and spend time on making a new forum to replace this one that has the things you can do, instead of the things you cant,

Undoubtedly, but ANet’s hands are tied in this respect. They’re a US-based company, so they’re constrained to obey applicable US laws and regulations.
That would mean that US based players must follow different rules from every other player outside the US, I don’t think this is the case, if I had to guess its because Anet HQ is in the USA, but really this reads more of a we don’t value the input from players outside the USA, I have seen several cases ingame where players have shouted in map chat that they are American so get off there servers/map because the other people are not…….
For the Arah even they need to make the defense event harder, as it stands 3 people can pretty much make sure that defense event holds, they just pull the Priest out of the hit zone and the risen will never recap it, the loot for defense sucks in comparison to Attacking Arah event,
Sadly CS is a zone they don’t want people in, if people go to CS they will leave the other new zones, megaserver pretty much nailed the final nail in the coffin for CS, I have ran events in there recently and there are so many people you don’t get loot, because of this me and my friends haven’t been in CS for weeks now, the zone has taken to many nerfs from events to loot to make it worth while now.
Will these Specialists be selected by Anet or by the community?
There are 2-3 posters here who i’m sure Anet would love to makes specialists, but i’ll be frank… if they are selected I will leave the game.
I wont leave the game, but I will def leave the forums, I can think of 3 or 4 people off the bat that are so Ultra white knight its sickening, and I tend to leave any topic they post in just because the way they reply and cannot see the PoV of other players makes arguments rapidly start.
Someone just stated to me on TeamSpeak are Anet doing this so that devs don’t have to read the forums at all anymore, they can just get a report sent to them once a week and don’t ever have to worry about posting on the forums again…..
The removing of the dungeons forums is like what they did with the WvW discussion sub forum, did Anet not state awhile ago they had no plans for dungeons, this is a perfect way to mute that part of the community, because general chat moves so fast any topic on there would be instantly lost.
It really does feel like its just another way to mute select players to be honest, I don’t see the problem with the current setup.
So what not make it that there are Icons that people select when posting a bug, so when its gets posted it will show via icon for instant notification, so you select Website bug, Forum bug, Game bug, I think this was suggested awhile ago also but it never got any reply, now would be a perfect time to do this, that way you don’t log into that part of the forums and see titles only you will see if its a game/website/forum bugs before even clicking on it.

•Bugs: Game, Forum, Website
All into the same section like you did with suggestions in general chat, if so, how well did that work out, basically to me this reads as, don’t bother posting your bugs we wont be looking anyway, you seem to be the only Dev/Mod that reads these forums anyway, there are bugs reported in that bugs section months ago that are still ingame today, and you want to consolidate them all into 1 section, just remove the bugs section completely.
Agreed, it was brutal in places, but the reward was totally worth it, I don’t know if id run that daily lol.
TC has improved in WvW in the last 6 months. Got a further boost from some new very enthusiastic and skilled guilds willing to tag and lead.
Right now, there is a mix of people who have been in TC and newcomers, old and new friends, maybe 40 people, chatting and having a blast fighting BG and JQ. Like hanging out in a sports pub. WvW is really fun for us.
40 isn’t really that much, I remember being on TS over a year ago when on SoR and we had 90 per channel, its good to see that TC has commanders tagging up again, as that’s why a lot of us left, internal drama cause by commanders who didn’t tag up, yet wanted to run the show,
Alas back to the OP, everything you remember about WvW is the same, we have account bound WxP now, and a lot less population, Anet took a dump all over the WvW community in the last season, it really comes down to what you expect it to be, if your expecting big big changes for the better, then your probably best to avoid it completely.
Its only because the supply demand is so close on silk vs gossamer, the supply of gossamer is over 1.7mill with only 183k demand, but the supply on silk is 619k and demand is 511k, this is why the price is higher, also I believe silk is needed for all forms of ascended armor crafting, thus keeping its demand higher,
I find it rather easy to come across silk scraps, from just salvaging all the junk armor I get drop in game.
And have yet another issue with people having bought multiple copies of them?
Actually what I believe the OP is saying is that when you buy something that is account bound, allow any toon that you create ( when level 80 ) go to the Black Lion Rep in LA and you can get another Pick/Axe etc for that toon without the extra cost,
ANET is all about NPE apparently, so why is it that when something is account bound you have to go to your bank, put said item in bank, log out, select new toon, go to bank, take item out, etc etc etc, its just time wasting,
At the end of the day most people will not buy said items multiply times at 1000 gems each, when its account bound, im sure this would have been an easy thing for Anet to do, but I guess they either don’t want to, or greed kicks in and they hope people will just buy multiply items of the same type.
After spending the better part of the last two days there, I invariably encountered two situations:
- Either there were virtually no players on the map, and the bosses never spawned because the forts weren’t maxed out.
- There were enough players to max out the forts, but the bosses died in under a minute and there was no you could realistically get to them if you weren’t standing right next to the spawn.
You are having this problem after only 4 weeks in that zone, imagine what its going to be like for new players who have started the game in the last month and who wont get to that new zone for another month or so,
This is why the new time gated zones for events will not work out in the long run, I feel sorry for you having to waste pretty much your entire gaming time in that zone waiting for a boss that may not spawn at all.
This has been a common complaint since megaserver went live, the gates of arah is another event where 1 or 2 people can cause the event to be defended, by dragging the Risen priest away from the zoned area, its been posted about and posted again, and still nothing has changed, I wouldn’t get my hopes up for a change now,
Sadly megaserver pretty much gave free reign for the trolls who want to ruin events for everyone else.
I wouldn’t say this was an exploit, they have been there since the launch of the game,
The most noticeable ones are close the WP’s of the enemy
Lower south east corner near the lake camp, just over the hill where the enemy can stand there is a safe zone, and on the lower South West camp there is also a spot just over the hill,
Both locations don’t offer any advantage to the enemy, sure its annoying they can run back and hug the wall ultra tight to stop taking damage, but ive never really seen this being done, if I had to guess, id say the OP was chasing a random roaming player who ran back to this location,
Either way its clearly just the out radius of the safe zone that cuts threw the terrain at a strange location.
Your point still doesn’t make any sense though, the argument about people saying anet isn’t doing anything because they don’t announce it is already Mute, we already know they are doing LS2, and will likely recycle more content for LS3 and LS4, we might get a new zone which is time locked for events like the current zones, the problem with zones like this is, eventually when enough ppl stop going to them, they are harder to complete,
The entire concept around LS really is kind of flawed, but its clearly an idea that was put forward that they where never going to back down from,
Im HAPPY that some people love it, and will continue to play the game as it is, as that’s what a game is for, however they have pushed way to far into the causal gamer side now that anyone who plays the game for longer than an hour is bored, and that is what is happening, if you personally are in a guild that is 100% fully active, happy days for you, sadly that is not the case echo’d across the game,
Are Anet working on things, YES 100%, will they announce things ahead of time probably not, can you admit to the fact that not everyone has the same fun playing as you do, probably not,

PvE is ok for 2 hours every 2 weeks then its dead, ( unless your a causal ) people who want to play longer and farm for mats for weapons/armor are being hammered, CS, never seems to have events anymore, and when there is theres 200 people at them and you get little to no loot.
Will Anet eventually address all the issues, probably yes, will it be before 1000’s more leave the game, probably not, they need a target audience, they made it clear that is the causal, everyone else, pack your bags and leave.
I felt in GW1 there was always something happening, and Anet was always announcing upcoming events etc, in GW2 I feel there is nothing left to do, and we hear very little.
I really don’t see the point in this topic, other than for it to cause an issue between the people who believe Anet ignores us, and the people who believe Anet do not, you could post 1000 links to articles about anything, unless Anet come onto these forums and post it themselves, its all hearsay,
They may very well be working on bigger things to come, but you cannot very well ignore the 100’s of bugs reported in the bugs section of the forums that are still not fixed, some of them bugs are around since before LS season 1……. another perfect example is the Meta event Orge wars, ( around since the game was launched ) yet still bugging out, and it just happened to be linked to an exotic drop that can only be gotten from that event!!!!! It stands to reason that if you make a drop linked to an event, you need to make sure that event works all the time without fail.
Regardless on what they are working on now, the game has become stale and boring for a lot of people the new LS chapters can be completed in a few hours, (for us who are still here playing) and unless your into grinding for crests for the new armor the updates are old fast, many of us have moved onto other games, with less and less reason to return, that in itself becomes a problem for Anet, I have given up trying to get my friends to come back to play this game, most have uninstalled and will not return, that alone says a lot.

If I found the same board as in its just called Asus Z97-K, then yes it will take the CPU and RAM ok, the SSD will also be fine, the PSU should be ok also, as for the cooler, I found the NH-D15 and it looks massive, I could not say for sure if it will fit, hopefully someone on here has used it or seen it in a case to see how much spacing it has.
Most coolers will fit most boards now, from what ive seen its more the case that’s the limiting factor.
Are you building this yourself or buying it built?
Its not that the current driver is broken, if you go to the Nvidia website, and look at the new drivers it will list things that it fixes/fixed/improves.
As for whether you should update or not, I personally run the 331.58 drivers, the once I had before this where horrible, and these where rock solid stable, I tried to update to newer ones and it was horrible again, so I rolled back, ive been on these drivers for well over a year now, and have had no issues ingame at all, or with anything else I play.
All this current RnG madness is causing is people to not even bother trying for the fangs and just make them wait for the Fang extractor in the next update.
I seen there was a new extractor the NPC has, but I haven’t had a chance to test this yet, as yet again ANET ran an update and Reset and killed the map.
