Anet should add back in the boosts for WxP, you should beable to get them from killing enemies in battle, Anet added a big WvW rank to some items and its an ultra grind, I cant see why new players would even want to start trying to grind out 2000 levels, ( and that just for now, who knows what is coming later )

The Skirmish chests are not that great either, they could add 1000WxP tonics in them chests, at least give us something useful.

Long story short, give us back the WxP boosters that used to drop ranging from 100xp – 25,000xp

I love WvW but grinding out the next 900 levels for my next +1 pip ( from WvW rank ) is kind of tedious.

LOL the Scourge isn’t even out yet and you want it nerfed.

Post launch you wont see 40 Scourge’s you wouldn’t see 40 of any class, its just not viable for WvW, unless you are running around killing pug groups with no leadership, or K-Training, any organised group would run over you.

If you do pick it up, there are still plenty of former GW1 players with a lot of mats and random gear that they will never use that they might give away, I log in every now and then and give away Elite tomes, the odd mini etc, im sure if you asked you would get a good bit of help from those who enjoyed GW1, HM Vanquishing was great fun.

Its been awhile since I did it, but im fairly certain that ( if its still needed ) getting the Faction for Kurzick and Luxon is still the worst, its 10million faction for each.

So far from playing the Scourge, I have no desire to change from Reaper, I was hoping that we’d finally get a place in the game, but alas we seem to be left a drift for along time to come,

Some other classes got a massive boost with their new elites, but we will be left behind again sadly, there are key things we have been asking for, for years on the necro and we still don’t have them.

It looks like im going to be forced to play another class, just so I can get into higher end PvE content, to sad Anet to sad.

I personally found my old Reaper build more sustainable and more damage than the new Elite spec, granted Anet has time to work with it until launch, but if todays play about was my deciding factor for the expansion id avoid it,

Again the necro is so bad at movement speed, we need a trait that gives us a speed boost, I feel I have to always take a utility SotL just to have a chance of keeping up with anyone else, and that instantly puts me on the back foot.

My normal build can handle some damage in WvW but the Scourge got ran over like it wasn’t even there, as it stands it honeslty looks like necro will be left behind after the expansion, it really seems like a class that anet just do not want to buff at all or give us a place in the game,

Hopefully Anet will take our feedback on board and put us into a better place, as I don’t want to have to roll a class I don’t like just to get into parts of the game, but sadly I feel that they will look at the few posts that say I love this elite and then move on.

So yea as it stands, I have no desire to change from Reaper to Scourge, which is a real shame.

As a GW1 player from start, the CD was always somewhere we wanted to go back to, new map(s) look promising.

Mounts are great so far, controls are sometimes a little over sensitive but something I could get used to.

Again as a GW1 player un-ID’d loot doesn’t bother me aslong as we see similar loot in the real game as we did in the beta, if you hammer the drop rates into the dirt after launch it will suck, and make people want to leave the maps.

Mount racing, needs looked into, I did it a few times, and if you are not one of the players who hits that jump right at the start you have little chance of closing the gap, esp as players learn the course etc, everytime I did it, even without messing up, there was always someone who hit jump just before me, and you cannot catch them, make we need boosts in there like the Sanctum Sprint.

Also as an AP hunter are we going to see a lot of AP in the PoF, we haven’t had enemy type kill AP since launch, like giants, spiders etc we are seeing several new enemy types, don’t want to run out of things to do 3 months after launch.

there was a video Potatoe Made not long ago about it

he stacked a BUNCH of stuff to get his magic find to arround 800-900….. then oppened a BUNCH of chests and bags and also done some stuff and events…

and there was no visible change in the loot at all….

that stat is the most useless stat in the game right now…

I play accounts with both high and low magic find and I’d disagree with that categorically. Magic find is from drops, not from bags or chests. Killing stuff, a lot of stuff is the only real way to test it.

I get far more rare and exotic drops on my high magic find accounts than I get on my low magic find accounts. Enough to be easily visible to the naked eye.

See that’s funny how that works out, as I maxed out along time ago, and id be lucky to get 1 exotic a month from all content I play, yet my friend who doesn’t believe in it, and only has around 50% MF is getting exotics every couple of days from the same content?

Which brings back the old topic of accounts are tagged to get rare loot vs accounts that are not.

remember it is just a modifier, it does not guarantee anything, some people just have all the luck.

Im aware of that this, but according to Vayne they get more rares / exotics, which could argue that there higher MF account is tagged for loot and their lower MF account is not tagged for loot,

Id like to see Anet raise the cap with PoF to 500-600% as I get a lot of Essences a day that im just destroying because ive hit the cap.

Maby DPS meter makes every run a sure bet but it is still not suported in this game and it is not supposed to be needed to play any part of the game.

They do not make anything “sure”. They also aren’t really needed for any part of the game. They are just a handy tool to see how well are you and your team performing and help you improve. They aren’t supported, but they are allowed.

Please give me a link or some kind of evidence where someone from Anet says clearly that it is Allowed?

I thought they said that meters that read the damage is ok, but there are some that allow someone to gear check other players in the group whether they are running a meter of not, surely that cannot be allowed and has to be against the TOS,

I personally don’t run any DPS meter, I can see how they are useful to teams and players who want to practice to see if they are hitting the higher numbers needed, I have found that in some cases the player who is mouthing off about the DPS is the player who isn’t doing it, ive seen several times where someone in the group was QQing at others players that there DPS was to low, whilst that player was dead on the floor, but because they have the CO tag they can kick at will.

Its going to go back to the same old, Anet gave an inch players wanted a mile, those who use the meters for good and practice in the long term will be punished by those who are power crazy and cannot play well with others.

The main problem I have with this is people claim that you will missing out on the chance of getting rare/exotic gear? RIght? the chance of getting rare or exotic is the same as getting a pre in this game! Save 250 bags of anything and open them. Tell me how many rare/exotic you get out of them. I guess not many.

In my experience thus far, probably around 20. I’ve had about 7-10% of the unidentified gear give rare or exotics in the demo.

Its pretty clear to anyone who has played GW2 for along time that the loot table for the demo was turned WAY up, to make those who are trying the game for the first time feel like they are rewarded, there is NO way them same drop rates will be there on Sep 22nd, ( even though they should be, given you need 10k+ of some mats to craft gear )

The U-ID gear doesn’t bother me, I wont be ID’ing any of it, the game will not reward you for that, people who are saying you will miss out on rares and exotics ( and laughable pre’s ) are dreaming, there are plenty of players who have 5-8k hours into this game and have never seen a pre drop, this new ID system wont change that,

It would be great if Anet would actually post on here what the deal is with the loot system for PoF are we going to see the same numbers that we are currently seeing, as I wouldn’t mind actually playing the new maps to get mats to craft gear I need, instead of the usual grind.

Everytime the game DC’s now the game seems to auto roll back accounts, I noticed tonight after the DC it took about 10 minutes to get back in game, and when I did the char I was using had all dailies removed as if never done, including loot ( IE blood rubies etc ) removed, and I had to go do dailies again,

This makes me really iffy about doing certain things in game, esp around the forge / hard achievements, if the game can just DC and roll back the account,

Others where have the same issues as it was being discussed in Lake Doric and Bloodstone Fen about peoples accounts being auto rolled back after a DC.

Same here, just got Dc’d while in Bloodstone Fen and cannot get back into game on any character, can get to char select screen, then it just sits until it pops up error 7.

There DC issues have been getting worse over the last few weeks, ive been DC’d more in the last 3 weeks than I have in the previous 4 1/2 years.

Anet don’t know what they are doing when it comes to Necro, we got left behind along time ago, and Anet have never done anything to improve us, it seems every update they do just puts us further and further behind other classes, why did they change Lich Form its just another Elite now that wont really be useful ( just like that sad excuse called Plaugelands like who stands in that field ), the summon madness skill is poor, yea lets spawn minions that last for 6 seconds, but wont move anywhere as you are more than 1200 away from an enemy, ok so lets run into the enemies oh wait we are dead already,

The nerf to shroud is another shocker, why do Anet not just come out and say it, we want to remove necro from the game, and do it already, its clear they are nerfing us harder and harder every turn,

Yet other classes get even more damage added as they where lacking behind, looking at thief here.

I truly regret buying the expansion now, Anets history should have told me what to expect but I guess I got burned again, I wont make this mistake again in the future,

The worst thing about this is, Anet wont even acknowledge any of these topics, so we don’t get any answers.

These things are not important Arena? I’ m sorry but after the HOT expansion, you continue going down to the hill.

They had 30 mins to announce it, im sure there will be more blogs that go into that, but as for WvW they gave us a great update recently, they destroyed it a couple of weeks later, and now its as dead as ever, I don’t think an expansion will fix that.

There has to be something wrong with the Lake Doric map, I entered the map tonight and got instantly hit with 1.6k Ping, the map is unplayable, as soon as I left the map my ping returned to normal, and I can play again,

Its almost like whatever bug hit the new map the other night is now working its way into Lake Doric.

Hearing reports from other people on twitch streams they too cannot login on any character parked in Siren’s Landing.

I can confirm this, it took me 12 minutes to load the map, im trying to load out of it into another map, but nothing is responding.

Finally got into the map, tried to port to Divinitys Reach, after 5 minutes it tried to load DR, then it gave me a network error, and closed the game down, so I guess any character tied to the new map atm is a no go ingame, until Anet fix it.

theres nothing stoping players repairing walls just coz you dont get paticipation for it you will still repair when its sneeded the diferance is you wouldent just stand there doing nothing but repairing a wall that is constantly being trebed all day long and prety much afking your way to the legendary back item

Yes but there is a key difference between repairing a wall being cata’d or treb’d vs repairing a wall after the enemy has been fought off, ive seen a lot of Pug commanders recently that will run in to get the kills on an enemy and then run off with the zerg and shout, let me know if they return, if it wasn’t for them people repairing, by the time you return the wall / gate could be gone and lord dead, do NOT mix the 2 types of players up, this is why you cannot remove participation for running dollies and or repairing, as these are critical rolls that commanders do not want to par take in.

I’m surprised Anet hasn’t changed this yet, a good example for this was the other night in EBG there was a commander ( the only one on map ) that tagged up and locked the squad, you could see they had 4 guild mates in the squad with him ( for pip bonus ) but as they where the only tag on the map, people followed it by default, if it wasn’t for this, that group of 5 people would have been farm food for the enemy, but instead they got the bonus of the extra pip without technically doing anything.

Because ANet wants to be different and special. ANet wants to be welcoming to everyone. Including the griefers and cheaters other PvP games with rank systems have kicked to the crub. More power to them.

Yes but its this exact reasoning that cause most of the top players last season to say no thanks to PvP, I personally wont even play this season, I cant enjoy a game mode that I get screwed because 1 person decides to afk at the spawn as they get pips either way,

I can understand players sometimes get lagged out, or DC’d ( and its out of there control ) but last season I seen the same people in matches openly admitting they where afking and there was nothing anyone could do about it.

If this season goes the same as the last, maybe then Anet will look more into the afk farming problem, as ironically its now rampant in both Spvp and WvW.

The essence of luck should be renamed to something else, and allow the user to invest it into

Karma up to 100%
XP Gain up to 100%
Gold Find up to 100%
Magic Find up to 300%
WxP increase up to 100%
WvW reward track gain up to100%
Spvp reward track gain up to100%

All of these could be options and just keep the values the same as they are for the Magic find so that it takes a long time to complete,

I don’t know why Anet ignore this type of thing, its like they have a spare of the moment idea, put it into the game, then forget about it completely.

Skill lag

Its strange, as the only map I see skill lag in is, EBG, that map is just horrible for it, this last week there have been massive open battles on the home boarderlands and they have been playable even with 3 zergs smashing into each other, but as soon as you get onto EBG and 2 zergs meet its game over, you better hope that your skills cast before the enemies,

I don’t know why EBG is so badly optimized for the battles compared to the other maps.

Thats not true,the bl’s are lagging just as hard.Its just more noticable in Eb cus these comms like to go 3 way in sm all day long eventhough they know it lags the entire server out..hurhur.

Last night on the boarder land we where doing 3 way zerg battles for 2 hours straight, and I had no lag, I went into EBG and had massive skill lag and that was only 2 zergs clashing, I guess everyone gets different results from WvW

Sadly they wont change this, this will fall under the same argument has im level 80 and don’t want 30 alt characters, but I get 200 Tombs of Knowledge a week.

I agree though that we should have the ability to send them to a friend ( 1 time only ) as in once its sent 1 time it becomes account bound to that person, I know people who could use the ToK I get that I just destroy, because I don’t want to double click thousands of times.

Yes it should, but only for WvW,

If you made it default Legendary armor, people would avoid raids, by making it WvW it means that players who only play WvW can still get Legendary Armor.

Of course Anet could add a title track to WvW that gives Legendary Insights, it would still take a long time to get the required amount, but would allow WvW only players to work towards Legendary Armor, abet slower,

They would still need to go raids for collections.

Option to toggle boosters on and off

I would love it if they gave us the ability to select on/off for boosters, or even set gamemode boosters,

So that WvW boosters are only active when in WvW and not when your stuck in the Queue for 90 mins

Not sure how the booster would work for PvP, maybe they start when you enter a match and stop after rewards are given.

I would totally buy boosters from the gem store if I could only use them in WvW, but im not buying a 2 hour booster that in the event I start it then get DC/kicked ( like for tonight’s update ) then they get an hour of them wasted,

End of the day we shouldn’t have to pay gems for boosters that go to waste because of queues, maybe make WvW only boosters for badges of honor, give an NPC badges you get x booster for x mins?

I made a suggestion to promote the pips for actually fighting enemies, and not stand around afk all day.

You cant add pips for capping, it would lead to 1 massive K-train where no one would ever fight, we need rewarded for actual game play.

No. Terrible idea. It’s bad enough that stacked servers get massively more pips due to their previous blobbyness, now you want to give them more?

I am on FSP and im averaging 5 pips per tick, I have a friend on another server who gets outmanned and is ticking for 11 pips per tick,

Your logic is flawed.

You should be rewarded more for actually playing the game, and not sitting AFK or siege humping all day.

Im on FSP and I haven’t been able to get higher than 6 Pips per tick, which means I looking at 21 hours of WvW per week to get it.

That’s providing the chests increase 5 pips per tier, if it does, its 1450 Pips for all chests.

WvW huge queues burn boosters while waiting

The problem with the Queue times is that its caused by people sitting AFK all day waiting for the Prime time hours,

Its like Anet is saying, you need to log into game 4 hours before prime and AFK on the map until prime starts,

Wonder how an increase in pop on the boarder lands would work out.

With the rampant AFK for rewards clearly a thing in WvW now,

You should add to the pips that, for every 100 enemies you kill in a Skirmish you get +1 pips, this means that the players who are actively playing the game, are getting rewarded for doing so, make it stack to say +5 Pips.

It will also encourage more open field battles, which im glad to see is more of a thing now.

Pips for commander

This needs to be changed to, if you are in a Squad with more than 5 people you get +1 pip,

Giving it to the commander only is making people who just shouldn’t be commanding put a tag on, today we had someone who after being wiped 3 times openly said, im just tagged up for the extra pip WTF.

This is leading to trolls etc, either change it to the squad get the pip ( for team play ) or remove the ability altogether.

You added this update, then make the WvW more toxic by not thinking it through completely.

So now that the new reward system is in place, people seem to be AFKing more now than ever,

Today EBG had a Queue of 90, when I eventually got in, there was around 30-40ppl afk at spawn/keep, its clear they are AFK just to avoid having to queue again when primetime starts,

It really needs addressed now, before we run into 200 Queues for WvW and 50% of AFK waiting for fights later in the day.

About a 3rd of the way down the page you will see the old list we used to get as random drops,

With WvW Ranks now being important again, and some people saying how old EOTM farmers got super high ranks without ever playing WvW is unfair,

Granted you can get 20 ranks per day, but given you need 1000’s to go between tiers for the Pips maybe its time to put these WXP consumables back into WvW.

Lower the Rank Requirement for Armor

Rank 2000 is fine, I did around 90 mins tonight and got 22 ranks, if you actually fight real players instead of K-Training around the map you will rank up x10 faster,

This update so far really has brought the fights out into the open and away from the siege wars that WvW was becoming, so far so good.

The Pips may need looked into though, what does an average player get 6 maybe 7 a tick, 72-84 an hour average ( I know some will be more/less ) the first chest required 100 pips the 2nd chest is 120, with 72-84 an hour that’s 2-3 hours of none stop playing, and it resets weekly, so either you live completely in WvW or Anet might need to look at bi-weekly resetting of the chests.

I love the idea of a walk-in closet. I have no idea how ANet would implement it, without having to recode a bunch of stuff, but I can see it as being a lot of fun, especially if you could bring others there with you.

I’d settle for a proper preview window, one that shows day|night, auras, all particle effects, and how the armor appears under different lights

The animations for the armor already exist from the preview screen, it would just be them adding it to an area that you can actually see the armor on you, they could add this to the BLTC skins too, the preview screen you get from the BLTC doesn’t help either, ive previewed a few of them and got them from that, then ingame they didn’t look or sit the way the preview showed.

But giving the price either in gems, or the time it takes + mats to craft armor, its putting me off making Legendary Armor, the time and mats is ok, but to then make it and then not like it because of x feature/look would be soul crushing.

Hopefully its something that Anet can look into for a future patch.

FSP is overstacked and has a lot of internal problems with the bandwagoning and toxic behaviour. Half of Piken Square jumped ship to Vabbi, to make that the new top server. Gandara is overstacked even more than FSP and ganking as usual. Desolation is full.

I’m sorry, but that isnt very helpful. Full/stacked or not, it is just a matter of refreshing to get a spot.

They aren’t wrong, FSP is rather hostile at the moment, its getting worse week on week, to the point some of us are looking to leave it, however in regards to your question, ive seen EB with 40 Queue and no commander on the map, or you will find a commander with 8 people on them that tells everyone else to FO as its a closed raid, not quite sure what 8 people are going to do against 50 but hey ho, FSP also seems extremely hostile towards any server that is linked with them that week, ( now this could be from times gone past with certain people etc on that server but it really brings down the overall enjoyment of WvW down )

On FSP when a commander tags up you will get fights providing the other servers are up for it, it can be rather boring at times to go out to fight an enemy zerg and they all play the 100m sprint to safety to get to the first AC they can, you should also look at other servers though depending on what you want, if you a siege player then FSP is not for you, in that same sense if your not a siege player other top servers may not be for you, as I swear everytime we go near a tower/keep there are 30 AC’s raining down on us.

I guess its going to come down to your play style and if you can handle a lot of boring drama.

I couldn’t find this idea on the forums, and the search is flaky at best.

It would be awesome if we had a walk in wardrobe in lions arch ( in same place that the BLTC weapons npcs are, or even in your home instance )

Some armors in the game you just cant see how they look even from the preview screen, now with Legendary Armor in game, it would be great to have a proper preview of this, ( I know there are videos showing it, and some players have it ) but you don’t really know how an armor will look until you put it on,

Id hate to personally make Legendary Armor ( or any future armor ) but make it from the wrong char, because it may / may not look better on x class/race etc

You could probably add Weapons to this also.

Honestly I suspect the people who love the DBL like to K-train and avoid all fights,

The DBL is to big for this game, it would be ideal if the map could have 200v200v200 players, then maybe, but as the game engine would likely explode the lag that it would generate would be felt in Cursed Shore,

Hopefully if they do make a new map with the new expansion it wont be so big, it will also promote more open field battles, im thinking of a capture the flag style thing, where your team has to be on x point to get points, where no siege can be placed, thus promoting open field battles.

It should give resistance to compemsate the lack of stability and give more survival that necros do not have.

It wouldn’t matter, it has a 1 second cast time, imagine trying to use that in WvW in a zerg battle, you get interrupted before its cast, and even if you do get it cast, the massive amount of condi cleanse / resistance now just makes it a joke,

Anyone stupid to stand in this field honestly deserves to get nuked, even in PvP its pointless, oh look im on point lets cast this 2 minute elite skill that will stop the enemy for 10 seconds, oh know wait it wont as they have resistance, oh well.

Anet have no clue what they are doing with necro, they seem to just take take take, from it, its just nerf after nerf, they are messing with skills that do not need messed with, they are removing our abilities in the likes of WvW/PvP with every update, reality check Anet we where already at the bottom of the pile in most game modes, you cant get any lower than bottom.

Im expecting the next update to be something like, “We’ve decided Necro isn’t really for our game, so we have removed Necros from the game sorry about that”

Fact is we are being nerfed more and more because they have no idea how to balance it.

The only way this skill will ever be anywhere near decent is if they make it an Elite shout, that makes it an instant cast, at least that way it might, just might do some damage before the cleanse/resistance gets going, as it stands the 1 second cast time makes this a joke of an elite.

What baffles me is that I don’t see how this makes it less of “heavy toll on our servers” than the old Epidemic was.

That’s because it didn’t, they just needed an excuse to gut the skill because of a few people in WvW who didn’t want to run condi cleanse cried repeatedly until anet nerfed it,

The new skill is no use at all in PvE it is so unreliable that its pretty much fallen off the utility bar, when Anet do stuff like this they should just remove the skill from the game completely,

If it was really a problem in WvW/PvP like the claim all they had to do was make it that it transferred 3 or 4 conditions to 5 targets instead of all conditions.

So yea as it stands its just another useless utility that Necros have now, as it may or may not work, and if fails more often than not, I guess when they “tested” this skill they didn’t have any issues.

Maybe time to stop nerfing the game based on what a few people who play power classes in PvP/WvW cry about.

Sadly I very much doubt that Anet will read let alone even consider looking at epidemic now.

Our biggest focus in this iteration for necromancers was that of Epidemic, in that its impact is too instant in most PvP scenarios

•Epidemic: This ability now fires slow-arcing projectiles from its initial target to up to 5 targets in range. Foes hit by the projectiles gain all conditions from the original Epidemic target. Projectile strikes are unblockable but cannot critically hit. Increased radius to 900

So because of PvP well mainly WvW you nerfed this across PvE aswell, seriously could you not have just split the skill like you do others?

Why don’t you go ahead and nerf the necro some more, its not like its used across the game as it is.
