Ive completely given up this season, and this was the first season I actually got into it in a big way, so GG Anet, you win, I will no long play your PvP, its clearly not meant for some people, and I 100% cannot handle being stuck with the same crappy players that die in 3 seconds,

Tonight on my team I got stuck with a Rev ( that I got stuck with yesterday ) who dies in 3 seconds everytime, another player who ran past a downed team mate, and when asked why they didn’t res, there reply was, the point of the game is to cap points not to res, and ran off and died in 5 seconds to 4 players standing on the point.

If the opposite team was better then no problem, but its just not the case, when I get most of them 1v1 I can win no problem, and while im winning the 1v1 the other 3 or 4 members of my team are lying DEAD, this is the same story every match, im past giving away free ratings to other teams, because im getting players who have no clue,

Its gotten so bad now, that my block list has about an extra 30 players on it, whom I have to wait and see if they are in a match or not, just in the hope that I don’t end up with them on my team, this is not what the game should be about.

So again, GG Anet you win the season, PvP is only for those in the top 250-500 places, to bad if your not up there.

They should have used the 2 up 1 down, ( or 20 on win 10 on loss this way the players who should be winning will keep moving up, making match ups higher up better in theory ) that way if you lose 2 and win 1, you are level, as it stands, you lose 2, and win 1, your still lower than where you started, add on top of that the RnG that seems to throw random no clue how to play there class players, and you could lose 5 or 6 games in a row, and then ud need to win like 12+ just to be close to breaking even,

I wasn’t massive on PvP before but i wont bother again after this season is over, i don’t mind losing to a better team, ( no one minds losing to a better team ) but when you lose because someone on your team seen a video on youtube of some guy who used a DH and held point for 2 mins vs 3 people, yet they die in 3 seconds, says it all, i just cannot handle the players with no clue now, that can undo a win streak in a few games, because they want carried.

They need to make it that personal contribution in the match is taken into account, that way those players who clearly should not be in your match fall down and fall fast, so they don’t ruin the better match ups higher in the rating.

It works both ways though players in the top ratings shouldn’t be getting placed lower down either, i played a match where the enemy team had a duo queue, no biggy, and them 2 players massacred us, later on when watching a twitch stream, them same 2 players where playing in a Legendary match up……really anet…..

Had this tonight, 4 guards on opposite team, ironically we ended up destroying them, they all ran together as a group yes the entire team, and tried to bunk hard, as soon as they split they melted.

Jeez its bad enough getting 4 Guards on the opposite team, can you imagine if you had 5 or 6, if they increased it to 8 man, ( which I doubt ) the zerging would be real, Anet would have to put into place a limit on the number of classes per team.

I had this issue, had 2 people ( guess they where duo Q ) and they where bad, always ended up getting them, so I dropped them quickly onto my ignore list, and waited for it to show they where in a map, then Q’d again, never got them again, and then just removed them from block list.

Damage is to high, the entire class is OP, massive sustain, boom spam, condi clense, blocks/evades, its a mobile tank, if you get 2 of them on the opposite team its near game over,

I understand yes that some top players probably couldn’t eventually outplay them, but for 99% of players warrior is easy mode, the entire class needs looked at, else soon only things you will see on teams it, Warrior, Guard, Engi teams, boom spams, condi cleansing cheese classes.

I played a match where a Warrior and Guard sat on point boom spamming for the entire match, and bunkering in, I don’t know how that can even be viewed as fun.

When it takes 3 people to burn down 1 person because they are a mobile tank, they can boon spam, condi clear on every dam skill/weapon swap, block for days, balance issues much Anet, I don’t know how they cannot see this as a problem, ( I really want the PvP Dev to post videos showing them killing these players and then defending the ability to do everything )

Class stacking is an issue, but the players can change that by swapping out before the match starts, the problem is, that with dailies allowed to be done in ranked, they wont swap out, so your team can end up being Mesmer, Necro, and 3 thieves Vs, 3 Gaurds, 1 Warrior and an Ele, its gg before the match has started.

People who mash all the buttons on there keyboard to use every available skill because its not on cool down…….

Today had 3 guards and 2 thief’s in enemy team, match before was 5 bunkers in enemy team, both matches where wash outs.

Im just waiting for an all guard team or an all ele/engi team, im sure its only a few games away now.

This is nearly pointless for me now, im 7-0 today and dropped so far down I probably wont beable to recover this, every match up ive had, ive had someone either AFK or just run around with there buddy, I cant get a decent match up at all, and my rating is getting slaughtered, the season is all but over before its begun, this is stupid.

It makes be beyond livid if I have 4 players of other team ganking me, and my team is sitting in the corner playing lets all sit on point and pray.

Its crap like this that makes people not want to play PvP at all, why bother if im trying to play a match that 4 others players on my team don’t give a crap about, where the hell is my incentive to play anymore, just so I can sit and get a streak of losses, where is the fun in that,

Rating needs to be tweaked so that it takes into fact your personal contribution to the game, that way the players who don’t care, or who afk, or who just feed the kills, get their rating slaughtered and drop down so low we don’t see them again, as it stands PvP is pointless and no fun, its only catering for those who want to AFK farm ascended crap.

EDIT 9-0 now, I cant handle these, have no clue players no more, gg anet, happy holidays, i guess its time to AFK my way to ascended gear (even though I don’t need it), as apparently getting a decent match up is out of the question, maybe next time those who have no interest in playing wont beable to ruin it for others.

While losing 2-3 games straight can be the fault of poor matchmaking, it takes some remarkable hubris to look at a 9-game losing streak and not take any ownership of the result.

If you’re losing that many games in a row, it may be important to consider if the problem is just your teammates.

Actually its easy to lose 9+ in a row, its impossible to be in 2 places at once, in order for me to win I require my other team mates to beable to hold a point and god forbid kill the other team, sure I lose some I win some fights, but when im watching guards on my team die in 3 seconds, i have no chance.

Im putting it down today that it is the holiday and a lot of ppl are taking today off, hopefully tomorrow things will look up,

Ironically i was talking to someone in my guild who said, who cares about rating or winning, just afk to ascended armor, ( says it all really )

Incentive to play

So I want to start off by saying, I don’t do as much PvP as probably 95% of players who post in this section,

Now to the question, what is the incentive to play, tonight ive played 10 matches, not a big sample and I won 50% of them, but im stuck down in bronze, I have hit silver a few times, now I don’t expect to be at the top, but the problem is, on the matches ive lost its because the players really don’t care, 1 of them pretty much told me that they win for losing, as they get pips anyway, and rating doesn’t matter,

Where rating may not matter, id rather be playing matches that are closer than complete blow outs, how can I get to matches that aren’t complete blow outs, will these players who don’t care, eventually fall far enough down that I wont have to worry about it anymore, id be happy to sit in bronze if the matches where more closely contested, but 500-150 matches because someone went afk, or just gave free kills, really sucks,

I like the improved rewards, but I think its giving to much for free, and players are not really encouraged to try and play, when even if they lose and don’t care for rating, get rewarded, my rating can only improve if I win, and that requires 4 other people to want that aswell.

Its really put be on a downer for a game mode im really only getting into now, I can put the hours in, and progress then end up being matched to players who don’t care, and it pulls me all the way back down, to the blow out matches.

I have played about 50 games in ranked this season. I had some terrible start games that placed me in silver. (The games was lost because my team was either really bad, no team work, or some one dc’ed and it was a loss). I have been in games were my team couldn’t down a single person even when it was 3v1. So i had to carry the team. The only problem is I can’t be at 2 points at the same time so wherever I was we were wining but my team couldn’t keep a single point for more than 15 sec because they wipe all the time. I am never getting out of silver because there is 50% chance for me to get a good team were we just steamroll the other team and 50% to get on a team where no one thinks, no one knows their build, ppl are just their to do their dailies and play like they don’t own a brain. I can see that in my win ratio it is 50%. I almost never have a close match because ppl from either my team gets steamrolled or steamrolls the other team. GJ I am done with ranked if this how it is going to continue.

This, I don’t play tonnes of PvP so I will never be as good as the top players, and im ok with that, if I get beaten by a better team so be it, but what am I to do when the other players on my team just suck, I was in a match earlier and the guard in my team lasted no longer than 5 seconds everytime they left the base, id swear they where just feeding the enemy kills, this leads to us losing, how can you improve your rating if your losing due to other members on your team just not caring or have no clue what they are doing, another match up 1 guy rage quit before we even left the base, and we got destroyed 500-100, if someone leaves/quits in the first 30 seconds of the match someone who is solo Q’ing should be put into that persons place.

Is it even worth continuing with this, it feels like if you didn’t get in at the very start to get teamed with potential other decent players, you have no chance of ever having a decent matchup.

I lost 4 in a row tonight after being ahead when someone in my team decided to AFK or just go walk about on the map and no longer try, this is what really puts me off PvP in this game altogether.

Mystic coin suggestion: Dialy Completionist

There are more mystic coins being created than are being consumed.

Players can earn at least 48 mystic coins every 28 days with slightly more spending on the number of mystic forge dailies. Unlike before, players also earn 2G from completing their dailies so this means that they can get another two mystic coins per day compared to before. There are also WvW/PvP reward tracks that award mystic clovers as well as the final chest on the 28th day from the login rewards.

There is way more Ecto being created than being consumed but its only 30s each, the only people that will be hurt over more coins being introduced are those who have 1000’s of gold and can keep a monopoly, we need more coins put into the game.

Id suggest removing all coins from the market, making them far easier to get in game, and making them account bound, problem solved.

The only way you can justify the high price is if you are in the flipper campaign and are making GGG from a market that does not have enough supply entering it, the reason why they aren’t being consumed is because they cost 1G each or they did last night, and they are linked to recipes that are stupidly RnG based, which is absurd.

You know this was a kind nerf. They could have gone full Bloodstone Fen and made the amount of berries you could farm from nodes per account instead of per character.

They didn’t do that because

1, look at Bloodstone Fen now, its a dead map
2, look at Ember Bay now, its a dead map

So they went slight nerf hoping the same fate doesn’t happen to the new map again, but people will just bail on it, but the OPs point remains, why is it that the AB Multi loot is fine to farm for months on end, yet the new map is not, it was restricted by reset everyday, AB can be farmed every 2 hours of the day, why not make it that the AB can only be done once per day per character then also?

This year the 4 repeatable achievements for Wintersday activities are not giving any AP. In the previous years you could earn a total of 65 AP by doing these repeatable achievements. So basically we got cheated out of potential AP again. I guess Anet never wants anyone to reach 39000 AP for the backpieces.

Are you surprised Anet don’t like the AP hunters in this game, look at some of the AP linked to some of the achievements 3 AP for weeks worth of work, a cap on AP, if they could get away with adding no AP to stuff they will do it, there is no meta achievement for the winters day either this year.

Long of it is, the less AP they can give you, the less they have to do with the AP chests, expect to see more and more content with little to no AP linked to it.

40% you must be getting good RnG when I used the berry’s it was given me 17-28 magic, so a 40-60% reduction, im not sure why they nerf one thing so hard and leave another one untouched.

When I seen the reduction I was thinking its not so bad, people can still farm these for a small boost, then I seen your comment and thought you know what your right, people will just abandon the new map and go back to AFK mode in AB for the 2 hour farm.

Poor show anet, poor show.

10-20% reduction would have been plenty.

It was seriously shady what they did with them, the you’ve used it for a few months therefore tuff luck, yet at the same time if you had known the account bound slots ( which people asked for long before the salvage kit was released ) you wouldn’t have bought more than one, im just waiting for the salvage tool update so that 1 set will cover all toons on the account, and then get hit with the well you owned them for x time so tuff luck.

I have 5 of these Copper Fed kits that are useless now, I didn’t buy anything like that from the TP again, lesson learnt right there,

They could have easily put an NPC into the game that gave back 50-75% of the gem cost, or allowed you to swap it out with an item from the TP that was of equal value, but they went with the tuff luck direction instead.

Hardened Leather

Anet did announce they would introduce ways to get leather, and when they did the price dropped 20s, per Square,

Seriously though does no one farm in this game, all 3 of the new maps

Bloodstone Fen
Ember Bay
Bitterfrost Frontier

All of these maps drop Unstable Hide which can be salvaged into the Hardened Leather Sections, me personally after some light farming on these maps and refining them can make 20-25 T6 Leather Squares a day, slow, but very possible.

So I finally bought HoT

Spark on the Trading Post = 669 Gold

Achievement Crafting = 671 Gold

After all the time and gold spent only to find out this!? Seriously I want my gold back, If I knew that pre cursor would cost me the same amount of gold like on TP, I wouldn’t even started crafting it. Opinions?

A little research would have shown this already, but for other pre crafting you can check the prices on https://www.gw2bltc.com/ it will even show you the shopping list, and the cost for crafting vs buying.

On another note, the pre crafting has been out for a year, the pre cost now is ALOT less than it was a year ago, be it that people are crafting them, or people have no interest in a certain weapon, or that Anet nerf team comes along and ruins certain builds/classes that use x weapon, and therefore its no longer in demand which drives down the cost.

All the pre cursors are down now, I was amazed to see The Legend down by like 200g the other day.

Might want to step back to 1440p for this game. Anything greater just causes eye strain. The issue is a longstanding problem, so far not resolved.

You say its not resolved like this is an easy fix for Anet, they would have to do a massive amount of work just to increase the game to 4k, all icons etc would need remade, take that across the entire game, all that work for maybe less than 1-2% of ppl who play at 4k

Your best bet right now is the in an expansion they have looked at 4k scaling, but I wouldn’t hold your breath for anything before that, after all the game is built on an old engine model, that is already 5+ years old, no one heard of 4k back then.

Ive only been doing the daily login chest and logging out since I hit the cap, I did log in to help friends get the new LS3 episode done,

This topic is still being ignored by Anet, which is kinda funny because normally they would have sent the PR damage control in by now to give the speech on how they are/aren’t looking at it.

For those who don’t understand what the problem is, you don’t understand because your game play is different to someone who actively works towards the achievement chests etc, just because they play the game differently to you, doesn’t make it that they play it wrong, or that you play it wrong,

And I was one of the AP hunters, and I did do dailies everyday, and I did play for a lot longer than 10 mins a day I can tell you that, but the cap killed that for me, me and my friends used to use every AP available to push each other on, now that’s been taken away from us, so the game is no longer fun now, that’s my own decision and im happy with that, the game doesn’t add enough AP for other things to make up the difference, go do xyz and spend 500g for 5AP, will not cut it.

So yes, ANET can we please get an answer on this, and what is happening if anything about it.

For those who feel the cap is a restriction of your game play, I suggest you do kitten many have said, and just pick up a new game.

Normally id agree with these sort of posts, ( like I did with the mystic coins until people said they where fine, cough right )

But

Unlike the mystic coins, leather can be farmed, has no one farmed the new maps, from just doing dailies in the 2 new maps I can make 10-15 of this leather, granted RNG from salvaging plays a part, but it can be farmed.

It all comes down to choice of the players. If some want to use their key in the waiting period before the fire elemental it is entirely their right to it. You or anyone else can’t dictate how others play the game, it could be someone who doesn’t even track world bosses that uses their key when they do. You just don’t know.

I believe once the Steam Creature boss has been killed, you are unable to unlock the area again for 20 minutes. This cooldown I think is to prevent quick farming of the steam creature, since it’s easy to farm the key and stack/hoard them in your bank, taking one at a time out to unlock the event.

Your first point would be valid IF you didn’t need to kill said world boss in order to charge the key, but as the 2 are linked yea im going to say someone is trolling this event/map, people used to troll it along time ago, and use a get around to get into the portal kill the golem, and when the key was used the golem would not spawn,

The key should only beable to be used on the portal within 15 minutes of the world boss dying, the key is linked to the world boss event, thus should be used with it, if Anet don’t want it this way, you need a different way to charge the key without the world boss.

I’d be more inclined to say that ANet wants people to log in at all. Playing is a bonus. No log-in, no contact with the player. No contact, no chance to upsell cosmetics, content bumps, or expansions.

Granted, once players get to logging in, of course ANet wants them to play. That’s increased time commitment that can be tilted toward the upsell. And I don’t even mean that in a sinister way. But if they lose players for any perceived “meh,” there’s a good chance they might not come back.

I’ve become one of those people you describe. I rarely, if ever, post here now. Won’t get into the reasons why. I’m pretty much playing something else too. Log into game. Log out of game. When I hit the AP cap, I felt less inclined to bother. And it seems I’m not alone. The newest quarterly numbers appear to back your opinion.

Sadly, it is what it is.

The newest quarterly numbers do not give us any information about veterans taking a break (or leaving) — the huge downward trend the previous quarter was due to lower sales of the expac, which doesn’t include veterans reaching the daily cap.

It could very well be the case that veterans are also leaving in greater numbers because of the cap, but us players won’t be able to measure if that’s true. Attrition is normal and increases the more people play; it’s hard for any game to retain people’s attention for more than a year or two.

Maybe you cant use the quarterly numbers as a link to people leaving, but in game via friends/guilds etc there are at least 30 players I know that only log in now get log in bonus and log out, after hitting cap, ( its not so much that the cap is there, its the fact there is a cap full stop ) its silly, and was put into place because of silly reasons also,

On the its hard to retain people attention, I don’t know about that, I played GW1 from beta until GW2 launched and ive played GW2 since launch, and the only thing that is putting me off is the giant wall Anet put in front of me, but its ok, as like others have said its what Anet wants, im not a casual player, im not the target audience for this game, so in 3 days when I hit the cap, I will also be a player who just logs in for daily reward and logs out.

Honestly if dailies were the only thing that kept you logging in then its time to find another game. The game is kittening huge, with lots of stuff to do, and if none of it interests you or excites you, if you don’t enjoy doing any of it then you need a new game. And if dailies are the only reason you logged in then it meant that nothing in the game was enjoyable to you. You are just completing dailies because you need something to grind but won’t grind something like 250k kills in PvP or giant slayer.

This is an unfair comment really, I do dailies everyday then go farm the new maps, help guildies, doing fractals, then jump in WvW for a couple of hours, but when my daily is capped in 4 days, I wont bother with any of it, sure if a friend asks me to jump on and help with something I will, but other than that I wont bother, I wont support anet via the gemstore nothing, I wont play because im being restricted and stonewalled because im an active players who has supported Anet for over 10 years now, so in your own words, yes I will go find another game to invest in, but you see it as 1 person, when I stop playing, people who play on TS with me everyday will also leave, so 1 person leaving could end up being 5 or 6 people, it snowballs fairly fast, ive seen this many times over the last 2 years with other friend/guilds, I have a friend who hasn’t played in 6 months now due to the cap, he logs in for 5 seconds everyday to get the daily log in rewards then logs out, that’s hardly what anet wants for the game is it, ( maybe it is )

If there was enough AP between the content droughts this game is now suffereing, it really wouldn’t be so much of an issue, but the fact is there are not, so in order for me to get that next armor skin/weapon skin from the AP chests I have to wait months, while someone who doesn’t log in everyday, or is super causal can continue,

This topic has been ignored and all other topics on this matters for nearly a year now, there own support told me to keep posting on the forums and or reddit until a dev replies, as they have no control over what Anet do, but its really a waste of time.

- let a group at every entrance of a zone choose if they just want to explore the area (normal mode) or vanquish the area (hard mode). balance should be for a 5 man group

Instead of this, it should be a portal from LA where they can pick the map they wish to Vanqusih and then allow them to load into it as an instance, this would allow for pre set maps to be made with enemies etc, without worrying about the events etc etc.

The new maps will be your friend if you can add them to your farming rotation,

Bloodstone Fen and Ember Bay both drop a lot of mats that can be broken down into leather including T6,

You stated you didn’t want to buy any from the TP, this is the exact reason you use the TP, sell mats you don’t need and buy the T6 leather, be in in small amounts to top you up until you get what you need, if you do not want to use the TP then you will be stuck with farming rotations until you get the amount you desire.

When you installed the drivers did you do a clean install, also make sure your card is running at PCI-E x16 after installing the new card,

Last week I went from a 680GTX to a 1080GTX and the game has way higher FPS in all situations, something something local is causing your issue.

The gems come after 72 hours, the only people who got them straight away where those who bought HoT before anet changed it, after that update, no one gets the Gems before 72 hours.

Why is Anet suddenly looking at new worlds, and not working with the linking system they have introduced, fights have been a lot better since it was done, ( I cant speak for NA as I haven’t played WvW on NA for 2 years ) but on EU the battles have been great, lowering population will revert WvW back to the boring K-Train maps that we had before.

3. Would you be interested in transferring to a new free world?

NO, but if you make it that I can no longer play with the guildies/commanders/community I have been playing with, what’s my incentive to continue playing WvW.

It really seems like your going to gut something and rip WvW communities apart and force people to make new ones just for the sake of it,

You say that people wont be moved off their current world (server) then what would new worlds change? you will still have people on here complaining of stacked worlds or queues or timezones, nothing would really change,

As servers now are only used for WvW why not just open up free transfers between servers say once a month and see what happens,

I don’t particularly want to get pushed out of a world or get locked out of one because it suddenly becomes full, when ive been playing with the same people in WvW for 2 years+

What exactly would the new populations be, lowering it doesn’t seem to have worked before, if you lower it, people will just stop playing WvW, you cannot force someone to play on a low pop world if all their friends are elsewhere.

I personally don’t have an issue with the current linking system, on EU it seems to hav brought a lot more battles, and less siege humping, im all for open field battles.

The cap should be removed, but this topic has been brought up time and time again this year, and anet have ignored it,

I find it ironic they capped the AP because people complained they felt they had to do it, yet now we have a new map with hearts that reset daily, and people now feel they have to complete them, what is the difference, point it anet capped it because some didn’t want to continue doing them, and others cried they couldn’t catch up.

I actually contacted support directly about this topic, the reply I got from them was, they sympathize with players who are capped, but are powerless to intervene as only the Devs can do that, and to continue posting on the forums and or reddit, and hope that a Dev replies, or at least notices it,

Ive already accepted that in 26 days I will hit the cap, and on the 27th I wont be logging in again (yes this is my own choice) unless anet revise it, im done with being blocked/stopped/restricted because others don’t/cant/want to do something, I wont continue to support them in any sense at this point.

@Reydien, if they wanted to uncap the points for Agent of Entropy that would be fine too, they could easily restrict it to +10 points per day, the same as dailies, games like this shouldn’t have caps at all, when you hit a cap you get bored, and then leave, just like me and my friends will do soon, and my friends/ fellow guild members before me.

Its strange that Anet went down the road of repeatable hearts/dailies in the new zones, that some people now feel compelled to do, and yet when they do them some people say its your own self control that is needed to ignore them, Anet put a cap on dailies because people didn’t have any self control, and now we have dailies without a cap, that people feel they must do to compete.

The new hearts/dailies from new zones should be capped at repeatable 15-20 times then they stop, that way people wouldn’t feel compelled to do them, just like they no longer have to feel compelled to do the normal dailies that Anet capped.

@Vayne, me and my friends used to have fun doing dailies to get to next achievement chests but Anet stopped that, should we quit the game and find a new game?

It’s not the graphics that stops me from playing but the actual gameplay. No jumping, no moving during casting, no gliding, instanced maps, no trading post, how dead the maps feel without events and how the roaming mobs in their eternal circuits now seem so artificial, to name a few reasons.

That’s exactly how I feel about it. It was fun for its time but that game did NOT age well.

The game aged perfectly, the game is over 10 years old and still has people playing it, the PvP is probably more active on GW1 than on GW2, its been no secret that a lot of people like the PvP in GW1 to GW2, and in GW2 it does struggle, is that down to the players, or Anets fault?

I seen the topic on reddit about GW1 in HD, and really after thinking about it, I don’t know that it would make any difference, the game would need to many other adaptions to make it even worth playing full time again ( and I loved that game, I still feel its a far superior game to GW2 in terms of content ) but it does struggle in some areas, the combat system is static where you stand in place to attack, people probably couldn’t handle that again, and the no jumping, OMG I don’t know how many times I hit space bar when I was running around the old loins arch, I don’t think I could do without space bar,

Anet really need to keep all there focus on GW2 now, ( sure if some dev or devs wanted to in the own side time update GW1 great ) but GW2 I personally feel is struggling in so many areas, and to take time away from that development for a 10 year old game that probably wouldn’t see the numbers again, is not worth it.

I’ve had pretty good luck with this. Yesterday, (in stacks of 10) I attempted 4 times and got 30 clovers. The other day I think I was around 50% return rate. Maybe just lucky on the RNG?

I rolled another 8 × 10 recipes today and got 10 clovers, so out of 26 × 10 recipes ive gotten 20 clovers,

260 Ecto
260 Shards
260 Crystals,

Coins and Ecto combined are around 1.1G a try, so over 260 gold for 20 clovers which are needed for crafting the legendary, with these costs it should not be this much of a swing in RnG, we need a dedicated recipe for this, or add the clovers to the map rewards, you can get every other mat via farming/ salvaging, or karma vendor, but clovers are locked behind an RnG recipe, or you grind out WvW/PvP, ( which shouldn’t be the case )

Has anyone else had horrible return rates doing this recently, before anyone starts shouting its RNG, im aware of the RNG aspect of it, but tonight I just did 18 × 10 clover recipe, and I got 10 clovers.

That’s less than 10% return rate, that’s beyond bad RNG,

Can we please have a dedicated recipe for making clovers, every other mat for a legendary can be farmed bar these, yes I am aware that they where added to the GoB track, and you can get 2 from other tracks and a 7 from a few, but I still think we need a dedicated recipe for these.

Using PvP as a reason not to change the WvW is silly, they are 2 completely different game modes, if the PvP isn’t rewarding enough/fast enough then it should be balanced for PvP, restricting 1 game format because of another will not work out long term.

I think the 195 cap is fine, but every time you kill a player ( non siege kills, and only in EBG and the home BLs ) you should get 1 point instantly added to the reward track, on top of your normal tick, this would actually encourage people to go out and fight rather than siege hump in the corner, for any server who is outmanned you get 2 points per kill, but do not award points on death, to stop a smaller server being farmed by a massive server.

So if your points where say 200 at tick, and you killed 50 players, before next tick it would be at 250.

As it stands there are ways to not even take part in any battle in WvW and still gain ticks, this seems unfair to players who actually play the game the way its supposed to be.

A spawn timer would be fantastic for this event, or say every 15-20 it spawns,

Last night in the cursed shore we waited for nearly 20 minutes to spawn, and when it did, it was stable then no one could jump threw the portal, it was bugged,

Tonight logged in, went to Cursed Shore, 30 mins later still no portal,

I and many guildies have given up on this event, you’d think after 4 years ANET would realise that making players stand about waiting for something that may or may not spawn, and may or may not work when it does, is a bad idea.

Also a counter to show which rifts you have already done would be great.

Poorly thought out event this one.

I see more and more now on the forums everyone blaming the AB loot map, where I personally find it boring and do not par take in the new maps, people also have to realise that,

Anet changed the way new Legendarys are made, you no longer have to play the forge, I used to be a big forge players, and would have easily thrown in 1000+ rares a month into it, now all them same rares are being salvaged, even if I was getting a 75% return that’s still 750 ecto more into the game that before would have been lost into the forge, now take that across hundreds of players,

Anet should have ran the old/new system side by side, for those who want to craft let them craft for those who want to forge let them forge, by making it that its only craftable they are going to continue to see 1000’s of ecto per day enter the market, instead of being forged as rares/exoitcs.

Dungeons, ( uncluding the elite ones, UW, FoW etc )
PvP
HardMode ( this is still something I think Anet could do in GW2, just make a map instanced, for 5 or 10 man to go clear.
Locked Chests which you needed lock picks for.

It only seems to happen on EB, tonight when the 3 zergs met in the lord room in SMC it was crazy, skills just wouldn’t activate at all, it was impossible to fight, yet there is always a winner, so is it server based rather than map based, my server always seems to come off worse when it comes to server lag,

On the home BL’s when the zergs clash, there doesn’t seem to be as much lag and the battle can usually continue,

Time for Anet to overclock them servers to allow for these zergs to clash,

Also at the bandwagon comment, given the server merges now you can be on a lower ranked server and still be paired with a top ranked one.

I personally find Bloodstone Fen and the new Ember Bay also highly farmable for rares, but the mean reason for the price drop, like Foss.4830 said there is no major sink for Ecto, or at least not one that people are interested in, the new Legendary may soak up some Ecto but its a Mace, how many will really want it, if it had been a greatsword then you would have seen more Ecto being bought up.

Enjoy it while it lasts.

Say average dungeon path takes 15-20mins with average pugs, you get very little loot,

Same time in SW chest farm and your looking at what 20+ champ bags + other random loot from them bags.

To make matters worse if someone has already done that dungeon that day they are even less likely to help you as they get even less reward the 2nd time round.

Best thing you can do it get into a guild who wouldn’t mind helping you do the dungeons, or wait for it to show up on dailies which it does occasionally.

I vaguely remember a dev mention on Reddit that the meta achievement is not supposed to require all titles. Didn’t they lower the requirement down to 23? Did it not work?

Your talking about 2 different things, the meta achievement for Ember Bay was lowered to 23 from 26, and you will get the meta reward for 23 events now,

The living story part can have hidden achievements in it, ( like the Bloodstone Fen one did ) in this instance if you have done all 26 of 26 and its still greyed out then its probably a bug, I know there are a few story related rewards listed under Ember Bay in the story part of the achievement panel.

I can 2nd this, it was so bad tonight in EBG I just logged out of WvW, as soon as we engaged the Piken zerg, the skill lag was so bad that you couldn’t do anything, even shout skills didn’t trigger at all, yet I was still able to get destroyed by enemy zerg,

I play on FSP if Anet need to look into logs etc.

Earlier in the day the skill lag was also bad, only earlier on it did not go away after breaking away and respawning at a WP.

The lag was also on the home BL for FSP, but it was a lot worse in EBG.

I wouldn’t say this puzzle was evil, but it is tediously annoying, I love doing jumping puzzles, the one they put in SW was fantastic, the new one in the fractals is fun to, this one in EB is just annoying, glide over, oh you cant actually land there even though it looks like you can, unlucky, you now burn to death and respawn at the check point, to go again,

There doesn’t seem to be a path to this puzzle, like others have said its more about jumping and hoping you glide to somewhere you can continue from or start over, the fact that at some points you have to jump out and glide blindly around the corner and hope you land in the correct spot, no thanks, I think by trying to make it harder or longer than normal puzzles they took the fun out of it, I cannot see people ( someone will say they will but they wont ) running this puzzle again after getting the achievement, they may re-enter for the tokens that are hidden in it, but it will not be for fun that’s for sure,

So yes, I feel they overdid it on this occasion, they should have kept it a little more simple and fun, long sure, but fun, what you produced in EB is not fun sorry.

This is not a bug sadly, anytime you change maps all progress from previous map is lost.

Also the checkpoints work by, if you die in the puzzle, it will auto rez you at the last previous checkpoint.
