I don’t use or work with AMD CPU’s at all but id imagine anyone on here that does, could tell you, like the Intel chips when they get to hot they auto shut down to prevent damage, id be checking temps in that system too.

@daver, if buffing the weaker stuff would make the problem of, LFG zerkers only ping GEAR, running CoF Path 1, 25times back to back, go away, then they would probably do it, but it wont, so buffing weaker stuff wont work,

@clay, if you played GW1 from the start ud see that they could easily do it, they wouldn’t have to change there entire game, all they need to do is change 1 stat on the armor and bam no more super stack damage, infact they don’t even need to do that, all they have to do is put a limit on the amount of crit damage you can do, if they capped it at 30% its done.

Its 150 over 30 days, so 5 a day, if you wanted to break it right down, they are easy enough to take out at range, you just have to time the dodge, or take a friend to help you, as they can only attack in 1 direction.

I don’t know what your all worried about, those who love zerker will be mad soon, and those who hate it will rejoice,

I personally don’t use it, but I have no issues with those who do, its almost like SF from GW1, we all seen it, some hated it some loved it, but ultimately, its going to get hit with the Anet Nerf Bat, and they will nerf it that bad that no one will use it.

Skill 1 does throw it a short distance,
Skill 2 throws the randomly a long way, but you don’t have any control over it.

Yes, guild mates this morning where talking about that on vent this morning that the nodes all seem to have vanished, I managed to find like 3 copper nodes in queensdale when there are usually 20+

While there at it, they should make Story Mode Account bound, I do not wish to do every dungeon in story mode on every char I create.

The create party has been bugged for weeks now, party members not showing up in party even though they are in the dungeon/fractal with you, party members in the party but it shows that they are still pending, this is causing issues, last night 2 of us didn’t show up in the party for the party leader but we did for the others, so we never got the pop up windows to enter the dungeon we where doing, it seems sometimes logging out to desktop and back in can fix it, but not always,

This isn’t a new issue, ive seen it reported several times now, the topic at the top about party issues seems vastly ignored,

Basically are we going to get a fix for this party issue or not.

We where running TA dungeon this morning (Yaks Bend) and the skill lag was horrible, I tried rebooting the game and router to see if it helped but it didn’t, others in the group where getting the same issues, its getting worse by the day, I played GW1 for 7 years and very rarely had lag/skill lag issues, but 8 months of GW2 and its non stop.

Not to ruin your day anymore than it is, but

That will cause you a lot of headaches even if you could play the game in high settings.

Its not a bug, all exotic weapons that drop out of the chests in FotM are account bound, any exotic that drops from an enemy you can sell as normal, its on the forums if you search for it.

Well If your getting BSOD what is the error message on the BSOD itself, because the error it displays could be used to narrow the problem down.

Ive found that it doesn’t take long to weed out the commanders who only bought the tag so they could have the ego boost by everyone following them, there was a commander about a month ago who would shout orders to a zerg following him/her and as soon as the enemy showed up he/she would waypoint out and let us fight ( win or lose ) then demand that the zerg regroup and run with them again, needless to say I haven’t seen this commander in about 3 weeks now, im guessing they went to a different server,

BAD commanders get seen and ignored.
GOOD commanders get seen and followed.

We all know that the Black Lion Chests are not working as they should be because of the price of the keys and of the slim chance of a dropped key.

I say, introduce the GW1 system of Chests/Keys/lockpicks.

Chests spawned randomly per map, usually 4/5 per map. Specific Chest keys or lockpicks were bought with in-game gold to unlock said chests. Could also add a title/achievement to this as well – Treasure Hunter as in GW1.

I agree, I was going to post this myself, after discussing it with some friends who all played GW1,

Anyone who did not play GW1 will not understand the concept behind it, as they don’t know any different, but I think they should introduce this, the locked chests could contain skill points ( instead of tomes like in GW1 ) all crafting from T4+, Masterwork ( Green ) or higher weapons, with the chance in the 80 only zones, chances at exotics etc,

Im actually surprised Anet over looked this when making GW2, or it wasn’t feasible for them to introduce it.

Im not a dev, but reading that crash report it looks like you are getting hit with the out of memory error, which occurs on people who run windows 32 bit OS, which im guessing you do,

I used to get the same error before I upgraded, only I got the crash everytime id zone into a new area for the first time.

Its not a zoom hack, its a glitch from the SAB camera, when you leave the SAB your camera gets stuck in zoomed out mode, mesmers in WvW have also been using this to gain line of sight where they should not beable too, restarting the game client fixes the camera issue.

You do not need to overclock your CPU like stated above, I run my i7-3770k at stock speeds and it eats WvW up no problems, I do have a 680GTX also though that helps, if you run the game with no culling turned on, then you will lag no matter what in a massive zerg vs zerg battle, my FPS usually takes a hit to about 15fps during these battles.

Actually I would contact BT and ask them are the blocking any ports on your connection, I know several friends that have a BT homehub on Infinity 2, and they have no issues with gaming and browser etc.

It could be a faulty monitor, have you tried any other games etc to see if it happens, just to rule out that its something from GW2 causing it.

Do you have another monitor you can try? To rule it out as a factor…..

Have you updated the drivers recently??? a lot of people seem to be saying role the driver back to an older one and see if it helps.

Have you read threw that topic you linked too, do you have this ASUS-GPU-Tweak installed, or other monitoring software, some in that topic stated they returned the card, it sounds like it could be a faulty card.

EDIT: ok after searching for problems with the 660ti, im going to recommend you send the card back and get it replaced, as it seems to have ALOT of major issues, from Pink screens all the way threw to Black screens.

This game is CPU intensive at the best of times, if you have full culling turned off, and are running into a zerg in WvW it has to render so much more information than normal, my guess is that its pushing your CPU to near full load, espically given the limited cooling a laptop can have, have you turned culling completely off and see if that helps????

Technically software does overheat hardware, just indirectly.

When you say Pink screen, do you mean you could see the desktop/game but it had a pink overlay, like in this pic

if so, and you have checked all cables, your looking at hardware fault, is your GFX card overheating?

I got approx 30+ spikes in WvW today out of the mass zerg battles, the drops have been poor for awhile.

This has been broken pretty much since launch last year, Anet are aware of it, but I guess its not on there priority list of things to fix right now, especially when there are stuck events breaking mass areas of the game.

It should be 100% random each week, my world got stuck fighting the same 2 worlds for 5 straight weeks, the other 2 where playing in such a way that 1 would win 1 week, and lose the 2nd, so they could hold rank, only this week did 1 of them finally change, I understand that with 100% random worlds matching each week, it could make it that 1 week you get completely destroyed and another you destroy everything, but fighting the same 200 man zerg for 5 weeks gets boring real dam fast.

After you break the 2 seals for the arms, and go to the final seal at the top, you do not need the hammer, the boss at the top drops the hammer again after you take him down 25% health, you could have continued the run without any issues.

I hate when people say to me just run, don’t fight, this most annoing thing that i ever heard. I want to clean dungeon not to run from mobs in instances. Can you do something with this. Can you make dungeons harder and make peoples say “we can’t run, let’s fight them”?

They run because they want the tokens for the dungeon, or its a speed clear and will only kill the bosses needed for the chests, you are not rewarded in this game for the time you put into a dungeon, we recently ran Arah path 1 and the best anyone in the group got was a green, why should we spend hours in there doing it the long boring way to get a few blues and a green, its quicker to run threw net your gold from the bosses and move on.

You will see more and more people running threw dungeons until they are rewarded better for there time and investment, and if they decide to make the dungeons harder or remove the ability to run past parts of it, then the dungeon will be abandoned, ( when was the last time you seen someone going threw CoE?)

I run the i7 3770k with the Nvidia 680GTX and run this game on all max settings, with ease, but Loseridoit is correct, even with all that power in my system a massive zerg in WvW does drop my FPS to around 15-20, but its still very very playable.

Go with what card you can afford, asking what card is a bad idea as you will enter the Nvidia Vs ATI debate which would go on for months, I personally use Nvidia because of past experiences with ATI cards dying a slow painful death,

And to play this game at 1080 is a shame, it looks so much better at higher res. ( personal opinion )

When you run it, log into your account via guildwars2.com and enter the 6 digit code, this will remove it from the login on the client, unless you change IP or use a different computer etc, after that it will never ask you for the 6 digit code, unless your IP changes or you login from a different location,

To throw the traps makes sure you have,

Trait line Skirmishing>Trapper’s Expertise (Trap skills use ground targeting and are 50% larger. )

Im not sure what your barrage problem is, it should have a target that you can move around the map.

I got the achievement for collecting all across all zones, did you get the ones in the shortcut, sometimes 1 of them in the worm in zone 2 glitches and you cannot pick it up thus meaning you cannot complete it.

I can confirm this, me and a guild mate went threw the worm to collect all baubles and he could not get the last one, he spent a good 10 mins and run threw it again and still couldn’t pick it up, he cannot get achievement because of it.

It will run it just, the laptop i have has that card in it, and can run the game on all low settings, but it will struggle badly with anything when it comes to events etc,

I am telling you, the system will not boot up without the 4pin plug plugged in, its the power that the CPU needs to post, without it all your getting is system fans spinning as they pull power from the MB power not the CPU,

If you are not going to update the system and go with an older board, then get the ASROCK one you do not need an all singing/dancing one as it will not be overclocked etc, but id suggest if you can afford it, to go with a newer system, the hardware out now runs cooler and faster.

Dont mess with the inside of the system at all, if its a bought system, you will void the warrently, take it back and have them fix it, if its crashing everytime in GW2 at large events it shouldnt be hard for them to replicate the issue.

I reported this exact same bug about 2 months ago from ingame, with a screen shot and exactly how to repilcate it, good to see the design team on the ball for bugs huh.

If you swithced it from 110 to 220 and it went zap why would you do it a second time, its like a person putting thier hand in a fire and trying it again to see if it would hurt,

Anyway back to your post, you have fried the system, end of story, the 4 pin plug you are talking about is the 12V rail that the CPU needs to run, if you dont plug it in the system will not boot up, chances are you have fried the socket and maybe the CPU aswell when you tried,

Your overheating of the CPU was because the headsink was not in place, not that the CPU wasnt in place,

Your motherboard that you linked is a 775 socket, intel board, its several generations behind where we are today in terms of hardware, even if you could salvage anything from the system, chances are you would be hard pushed to find replacement board to fit it into, you may beable to salvage the HDD and the GFX card depending on how far the surge went threw the board when you turned it on,

Its nothing against you but i would agree with the people in this topic, going on what you’ve posted so far, you should not attempt to fix this system any further (yourself), nor attempt to build a new one yourself, where they are not hard to build for someone who knows what there doing, if you plugged something in on a new system in that wrong place etc you could fry a brand new system, either get a pre-built one, or have someone else build it for you.

You are wrong, every internal part is subject to a power surge and be damaged beyond use because of one.

The monthly has given 10 laurels since they came out, you could get 10 in Feb and 10 in March,

The dailies did not reset yesturday after the patch, so if you had done your dailies /monthly before that patch you did not take to reroll them.

Parties are still broken, cannot see 1 person in party, wont let others join fractals, come on anet its been over a week since this has been going on.

Everytime a guild mate joins the party it pops up saying join your party member in FotM, level 0 yet they are standing beside me in LA, have tried breaking party, logging out and logging in, changing char’s but nothing works.

Its now giving us the window to enter fractals but when we hit enter nothing happens, when we run to the gate it loads our own personal instance, im fairly sure i cannot do a fractal on my own,

the system is completely unacceptable. i nearly ragequit the game because of this one thing, instead i just completely abandoned fractals.

and past 30 every chest needs to have an exotic to even get close to the gold/hour that other areas of the game offer.

Agreed, the higher level fractals do not give the rewards for the time it takes to do them, the same way high end dungeons do not reward you, they expect you to grind out a dungeon / fractals for weeks on end in the small remote chance you will get a drop you want, its faster and easier to farm random high end mobs and make several gold an hour,

We ran threw a high end fractal last week and the group didnt even get 1 rare drop, haven’t been back in since, the game is so bugged out at the moment from drops to the cursed shore, and Anet all seem to be AWOL when its reported.

What is the error that you are getting, thats the first thing that is going to be asked, followed by your system specs/setup.

If you get an SSD and you have the 6Gb port free use it, the difference compared to your Sata drive there is night and day, my load times into LA on my SSD are about 5-8 seconds depending on time of day, WvW and other load times are all under 10 seconds,

The load times can also be slowed down by the server lag, espically if your spawning into a big event or somewhere where there are alot of people standing about, ( LA for example )

As for OS loading times, it will be faster depending on your system setup, remember your system is only as fast as the slowest part.

This very thing was reported as a GFX bug in the beta events, as you can see 10 months later its still not sorted, the same thing happens in the daily fractal, the crystals spawn ontop of blocks that you cannot reach.

The event your referring to has been bugged/stuck for over a week now, and has been reported id say over 1000 times easy, its glitched across most worlds if not all by now, and nearly everyone who has access to the cursed shore will have farmed it at some point.

That indeed is a GFX card issue, are you running a desktop or a laptop?

Yes the world boss chests, you will always get at least 1 rare from them, FotM has been bad this last 3 days, not a single rare or exotic in doing them, did they roll out a silent update to drop rates in here?

Agreed, you are not rewarded for the time spent in the harder dungeons, this is why no one runs them, ( excluding Arah ) CoE is a great example, horrible dungeon, just relentless AoE bombs everywhere, and very little rewards.

I can 2nd this, this has been on going for 3-4 days now on the Yaks Bend server, every party i join it shows me and 1 other person, no one else in the party, i cannot even add others to it as it says we are full, we have members leave the party but the game still shows they are in it, this makes it very difficult to get groups together for events, espically when healing /buffs are needed as i cannot see the party members.

This also breaks the enter party for the fractals, if i can see the person that starts the fractal i can enter, but if i cannot it will not let me join the fractal, it makes me enter as my own instance.

It may have been suggested before, but it doesnt hurt to have it at the top as a new topic, maybe just maybe someone from Anet team will acknowledge this topic, so they are aware of it,

The reason im guessing the 5th guy didnt join was either he didnt have the agony resistance needed for it, or was below level 80, and by kicking someone out they can jump in and get the fractal progress ahead of time, its the same problem with dungeons,

For me and most of my guild now, we will not run with pugs where there are 2 people from the same guild in it, ive personally helped 100’s of people threw fractals and never kicked anyone, i feel this is an exploit of the reward system in the game that needs to be addressed fast, before it starts to do real damage to the community.

Last night a guild mate was doing a level 20 Fractal with a group ( all the other 4 players where from the same guild ) at the bonus level fractal the final boss was down to about 20% health and they kick voted my guild mate out so they could get one of there friends/ guildmates in so they can get the daily bonus without ever having stepped foot in the fractal,

This is an exploit, you should not beable to kick someone from the party at the last minute to invite a friend of guildmate so they can get the fractal bonus.

This needs to be fixed/patched ASAP
