There is no way this is your ISP/connection at fault, this has to be coming from server side, its most common and noticeable in WvW, when half your TS server is stating they cannot attack, yet when they are downed it suddenly fixes, so is support saying that my ISP is lagging me out until I go into downed state they suddenly fixing itself,
There are too many people with too many different connections/ISP’s for this to be “our connections”
Its a bug introduced with the latest LS content, it only seems to appear for users who have Nvidia GFX cards, it doesn’t seem to do anything, the game will still close and restart fine.
What is the error code that your getting, etc, someone here may very well have had the same problem and found a fix to it etc,
I find it strange that support would just say oh well we tried too bad, you would think they would want to get to the bottom of something incase it is a local issue, to stop it becoming a major issue.
I have found that where AP doesn’t show skill, it can show if someone has done some of what anet class as harder content, when running a lvl 49 fotm, and you get someone with 700AP joining theres a fairly good chance they haven’t done it, and where I would always give someone a chance, as points don’t reflect skill, when you ask them what there AR is and they ask what is AR, its a fairly clear indicator this person isn’t going to do well.
But personally id never join a group where they ask for a pre set, such as AP, or zerkers, or heavies etc, I have always found a more balanced team works well.
Yea UW couldn’t be ran with Hero’s, yet for months it could be solo’d and or duo’d with a 55/600 smite team, until they added the skel’s to kill the perma sins off.
Its funny this topic came up as we had a discussion about this on teamspeak the other night, there are links to the UW in GW2 already yet no actual underworld to go to, maybe Scarlet will open it up when hopefully she goes away later this year.
I think you would be better contacting support direct for this issue, it doesn’t seem like something that the community could help with, espically as you don’t seem to have access to your game account.

You will never go back to a normal HDD after running an SSD its night and day,
Mapping into LA and zones that have LS content up where there are 100’s of people standing on a spawn point can still take upwards of 15-20seconds, but for average loading, your talking under 10 seconds including WvW.

Just WOW, its so far out on the scaling its not even funny on that encounter,
I don’t know why they just didn’t do it in phases like Teq, this would have made trying to get 150 random people to do an event a little easier, each time the wurm can take damage the max damage should be 25% it would have allowed for far better team work etc, rather than a random glitched event, it seems like the chances of beaten this event are based on the random bugs you may or may not get, which is a shame because its actually a fairly fun event.
Was thinking the same thing, even though im a long way off 300% ( which anet has set to max ) they could have easily just made it that when you get past 300% each 1% after than requires 50k luck, and just scale it way up this way people who salvage will not have to throw away masses of these essences,
300-350 – 50k luck per level
350-400 – 75k luck per level
I hope they NEVER make these items tradable as that will just defeat the purpose.
What settings are you running the game on?
Also what version of the GFX drivers are you running?
Try and install the 331.58 drivers for your card, these drivers are solid, I have been running them for months now and they corrected all my GFX/lag/crashing issues I had, I have not had a single GFX related glitch since installing them.
I reported this bug right after the hot patch back in December, its been a month now and still no fix,
I got the recipe for the light of dwayna, when it was account bound, your hot patch removed this and allowed it to be traded,
I still cannot trade or give these away, when I right click on it all I get is,

everyone else seems to have no problem selling these, I have reported this bug both on here and ingame before and still nothing, are we going to get this bug fixed or is this another one that will be swept under the carpet…

Now imagine if Anet had made it that when they became account bound you could go to your skin locker ( from AP chests storage ) and make the account bound item for any char as many times as you wanted as you had already bought it, removing the need to go to storage each time etc etc, meaning you could have easily replaced the item you paid cash for……….
There should be a fail safe in place for when people have items on chars that have been bought via hard cash, you get a warning when salvaging a rare/exotic, why does it not pop up telling you that xx is account bound are you sure you want to delete it,
Either way, its a simple fix that should have been done when they changed the items to account bound.
Your probably going to want to hold off on getting full zerker gear esp as Anet have said pretty much there is an incoming zerker nerf coming, which means it will be destroyed beyond use, remember play the game how you want to play……

As a Blackgate player, I personally loathe our WvW scene for 4 reasons:
1. It seems like we win way too often. I’ve seen high-tier opposing servers just give up. It takes the fun and the challenge out of things.
2. Everything boils down to massive zergs. “It’s the BG ocean vs. the SoR ocean. Again.”
3. We generally get the same opponents. If we’re lucky, we’ll get one or two different opponents once in a blue moon. But even then, it’s all from the same small rotation.
And, of course….
4. We have to wait on massive queue timers just to experience WvW at all. The EB generally has a 2 hour minimum queue and battlegrounds often have 10min+ queue times.
And WvW Season 1, with it’s over-hyped server-performance based rewards is partially to blame for all of that.
The only thing holding me back from a server swap (to a more average server) is my excellent Blackgate guild.
Maybe you need to take that excellent guild into EBG sometime,
Too point out a few things, I don’t know what your being told as the rumors fly all the time when it comes to T1, but if you knew SoR at all, its that we don’t give up, but we do not play for PPT ( there is no reward for coming first week in week out, other than bragging rights ) we fight for the kills, I would rather tick at 100PPT and get 1000 kills a night in WvW than tick at 400PPT and get 100 kills.
Tonight in EBG for 4 hours we watched BG zergs as big as our own run away, I hear it all the time that apparently SoR runs from fights, yet ive never seen it, ( could be my timezone ) but im sure as hell going to start running fraps,
If you happen to be in a rare BG guild that fights, then bravo, I hope you can bring more of them out to fight instead of pressing 1 against that door.
As for the same servers each week, you can thank anets new “random matchups” for that, making it that pretty much we will only ever meet each other, unless something super drastic happens.
Ummm, so the suggestions sub section got archived, so does that mean that all the suggestions that people have had ( and some really good ones in there ) are just null and void? Seems strange you would bin a section of the forums that actually encouraged your community to interact with you, and give you ideas about how they would like to see the game they play progress!!!!!
Im guessing it doesn’t matter what we say here, it will be whatever Anet want it to be, given recent changes on the forums, and the binning of the dynamic event / suggestions section of the forums, pretty much sums it up, they don’t care what we have to say, it will be whatever they want, and if we don’t like it, we can move over to 1 of the other MMO’s coming out later this year.
So basically what you want is your server punished or others punished when they play when you don’t, are you and the other guy that is crying about night capping in the same guild/ server by any chance,
The game format is called WORLD vs WORLD, if you don’t have a team that covers the night, then maybe its time to recruit.
If I log on EU timezone, the server im on I join with the OCX/SEA/EU we take over and they log off, when we run threw to when we log off NA are starting to log on and take over,
IF we log on and have to recap everything then we are being rewarded for our time, etc.
Its called WORLD vs WORLD for a reason, not OMG I only play for 3 hours a day don’t let the server have any players outside of them hours.
Ummm, I don’t think you have ever been able to mix and match exotics in the forge, its either 4 weapons or 4 armor pieces, and if you could its been along time since you could, as ive been throwing randoms in the forge for months, but never mixed, if you could, maybe its a bug that was introduced when they made it that you cannot forge WvW weapons.

This person did a lot of research, you should share your results with them so they can continue to update there stats/research.
When sending large amounts of mats to friends to help them with their legendary weapons, I always write a small message stating what its for incase it gets flagged.
You will have to wait for anet to announce a free trial weekend, you will then beable to send out invites to your friends who can trial the game, its normally announced a few weeks in advance.
If they downscale gear to much no one will go back to these lower level zones for anything, there is nothing in higher level zones worth killing for loot, as its all been removed,
Also in doing this, it still allows newer players to get help from a higher level person, as some areas are tricky, skill points etc,
I agree I and other suggested this over a year ago and it was shot down in flames, they will not do this, id play my ranger again if they allowed us to have no pet like in GW1, but alas until then my ranger will be in perma sleep mode, over 1 year and counting.
This is one of the worst fractals, and I get it 9/10 runs, anet decided because it was so hateful they would make it worse.
Stupid question but you did plug the SSD into the 6Gb port on the motherboard right, the number of times ive seen people use the normal sata ports.
I run the game off an Intel 520 series SSD and my Win 7 64bit is on its own primary SSD, I have no issues with fps ingame.

Don’t play with the forge its just not worth it, its just Anets way of removing mats/exotics/rares etc from the game.
Guessing they “break” once they give out the permitted amount of loot assigned, then they “break” for weeks on end, the Arah event is one of the best for loot, it seems to be broken across most/all servers aswell.
Happened again today in WvW, everything worked but the skills, thing is the skills are not Q’ing up like you see with other lag issues, they just don’t do anything at all, no icon refresh nothing,
A friend on a completely different server has also got this, and told me the only way they could fix it was to jump from somewhere high and die thus forcing a reload into the map ( via WP )

Did you uninstall the old GFX driver before installing the new card?
Not sure what driver version you have, but try the 331.58 Nvidia drivers, these are not the newest ones, but they are rock solid for this game, ive had no issues since I got these drivers a few months back, the newest drivers don’t always help.
I know the exact type of lag your on about, chat works, way pointing works, Black market works, the only thing that doesn’t work is your skills.
Several people on SoR ( NA ) have been complaining about it this last few days.

Not only necros are kicked for being necros, and the problem can be solved without boosting dps since that would ruin pvp – aka the point of game balance
Another disadvantage is that they have subpar utility. Heavy armored classes can constantly buff the party and bring damage, for example. There’s no need to bring a class that has limited potential
The whole PvE system could use some changes to make necros, engineers, rangers more effective; make healing gear more interesting, and even defense more meaningful
PvP and PvE are supposed to be completely separate if they didn’t balance PvE on PvP skills we wouldn’t have some of the issues we have in game.
All they need to do is add ways to get them tombs of knowledge, or faster levelling, when someone has ran a few chars through the game they don’t want to do the same quests/hearts etc over and over its boring, why can tombs of knowledge not be bought with fractal relics/WvW badges etc etc,
Just means those who don’t want to go threw that boring routine of levelling up alt chars don’t have to, those who love to level up new toons can still do it.
If this has only started today or yesterday, id be more inclined to say this was a server issue, as a lot of people I game with have been suddenly hit with random lag, hell even tonight in WvW my skills stopped working, I could do everything else, I just couldn’t cast anything, it took about 5 mins for it to clear, other’s have been complaining about the same thing.
Friend of mine in our party the other day never got daily reward chest so we rolled another form they never got it 2nd time round either, maybe a few bugs lurking in the fractals unless they made daily chests rng so u might not get them.

Did it update when you logged out and back in, ive had this sometimes, when the game doesn’t catch up or seem to sync up right at the time, but normally fixes itself after I log out and back in.
Strange, does it put you into combat, or can you still use waypoints, it would seem strange that even if you logged out and back in you will still be crippled, etc,
Have never seen anyone report this sort of bug before, you may want to use the ingame report bug system aswell, incase its something bigger,
If it doesn’t work you could try the -repair command incase something in your archive is corrupted, strange bug for sure.
Should add a screenshot for any dev’s looking at this.

I personally don’t champ farm as I find it boring, I will maybe kill 3 or 4 before moving on ( dailies etc ) and at that I usually use FGS champs, sad thing is if the drops where not so screwed up in this game people wouldn’t resort to it, I mean like the other day I ran a lvl 28 Fractal, not a single rare or exotic, yet if I had ran the champ train for the same time as I took to do the Fractal, I would have walked away with gold/mats/rares/and maybe an exotic,
If they DONT get there loot tables sorted out more and more people will go to these farms, imagine a new player starting the game entering queensdale and being told by 40 people that the only way to make money/loot is to do this farm, as there is no other drops. ( and there not far wrong )
The game is in a sad state.

Actually id say it was also linked to the fact that Sunrise needs 100 charged lodestones whereas Twilight needs 100 onyx lodestones that 100 charged lodestones eats up the difference in pre cursor prices right there.

The error is more likely to be firewall.
The archive needs repaired, I get this from time to time, normally after an update to the game, and a texture patch gets corrupted, I just run -repair and it fixes it, I don’t know why it does this,

Have you tried launching the installer as an administrator? The game client seems to be really picky about that, and when ran as an admin it seems to remove some client side issues around launching the game,
Even you if you are the only user/admin on the computer, right click the launcher>properties>compatibility>run this program as an administrator,
See if that helps.
You will hear that same excuse time after time, RnG, last time they said it was RnG it turned out to be a major bug, so yea, its not always RnG,
I stopped salvaging all rares and I just sell them now, after salvaging nearly 500 and getting less than 200 ecto I decided screw there so called RnG system, and when I need ecto ill just add the difference in silver and buy them.
I didn’t get this error for along time, until I noticed in game that 1 of the textures was broken, it would appear all pink/purple, I did a manual repair, then everytime I started the game it would say archive was corrupt etc etc, and to run once repair, I did this 3 times, and on the 4th time I selected NO, and the game started normally, and has been running fine as it did before.
Does it give you the option to say No to the data repair?
