We know well over half of those on T1 servers are there for bandwagoning, they wanted the loot and an active server.

its not bandwagoning if you leave a dead server for an active one, thats just you complaining that youre on a losing side.

Then question is why move from bronze straight up to server ranks 1-5?
What was so wrong with silver league servers?

Win or lose we dont care really, we want decent fair fights where you get what you earn, not leech from others with dominance via coverage.

Well come HoT, T1 will soon realise, as OP has pointed out, they will have a huge problem with queues. Depending on how well the new maps are, these queues could last for a long time to the point some will have to transfer down if they want to play!

You know you can buy, even make your own food. If you are unwilling to spend the gold on them then that is your problem, not the game’s.

It’s like telling anet to get rid of all ascended and exotic gear because you cannot be bothered to buy anything more than greens!

Well as you’ve read, it’s a problems of players’ own making.

We know well over half of those on T1 servers are there for bandwagoning, they wanted the loot and an active server.
Thanks to that it left those on lower servers with less active servers.

Only solution is transfer down!
Yup, transfer down!
But who will want to transfer down? It means less loot, especially during tournaments! And we all want our gold dolyak finisher cos we so deserved it, we were in the winning server!

And guess what, even if anet does have a super secret population plan, it’ll be getting people to transfer to lower servers!

That’s because this is currently the ONLY solution!

So transfer down, and fight for your loot, loot that you deserve, not leech off your superior numbers and coverage!

So transfer down now, get less loot, better fights, less lag, and shorter queues.
But that loot, yo, we so want that loot, so we’ll stick to T1 and just complain.

If you are an asura then I recommend that you walk to a teh edge of a ledge or cliff, turn so you are facing away from the fall. Or be somewhere above another player then also turn so you are facing away from them

This is also an awesome taunt to use in WvW when a zerg is attacking your tower. Just stand on the eadge of a wall and do the same, then laugh, I mean cower, you laugh.

Simple answer, no you are not welcome, especially if you are following a guild group or an small organised group.

As a lower level you are obviously a weaker player, this makes you an easy target. And with the rallying mechanic in the game this makes you a liability.

Imagine during a fight, they are winning, they have got several enemy players downed, and they are all on low health as well now from the fight. You come along, the enemy spot you, focus on you to kill you, stomp you and then all their enemy downed players are rallied which half health back. The enemy team now has the advantage, as the group you decided to “help” that was so close to winning, is now almost certainly going to lose thanks to you.

So the unwritten rule is dont follow a guild group unless they allow you, especially if their commander is not tagged up, and even if they are tagged up.
If you want to play in WvW instead of EOTM, follow the main zerg, stay towards the back, dont run into the main fights, just tag some players then retreat.
Best thing to level is EOTM, though this is just a boring karma train, but the enemy zergs here are doing the same so tend to stay away from each other, fights means less time flipping stuff which mean less karma and xp.

This april fools things is great if you are in a matchup with EU and German server.

WW2 all over again, we’ve already started to have fun by killing roamers and then our entire group just circling them!

Contesting Waypoints

They could make it so that a waypoint is only contested if the tower is hit with siege.

This mean no longer cana thief or mesmer stealth and knock and run, they will have build some siege somewhere and get at least one hit on a gate or wall.

It could be possible, but if it is then that should disqualify him from the post if you ask me.

The forum specialists are supposed to do weekly reports, we cannot have a person who has a serious illness who can go offline for a month at a time! This only slow down things, and anything bad that happens in WvW is immediately raged upon due to past experiences with anet!

Totally agree, since the patch it seems our coverage has halved.

Half the players on our server have bad lag, the other half have severe lag that they have stopped playing altogether!

If this is lag cause just by the stability changes, then what are things going to be like when HOT comes out?!

We dont want to pay for an expansion we cannot play!

Yes, but look at how much content they do get when an expansion is released!

Also the monthly sub also allows improving the game, servers etc.

Of course I would not recommend a sub structure now, many would not pay especially due to the anet’s history with this game.

A good game makes people play more, and spend more, even if it is free to play.
GW2 is more of a mediocre game, anet have not improved it much, taking forever to release fixes, ignoring a third of the game and player-base.

Basically you get what you pay for, and you are paid for what you give. If anet want more revenue, they need to do better, listen to the community and be more productive with better content which most do not find boring.

As to #4, since the community constantly makes post with different posters demanding contradicting changes, which side do they listen to?.

Well that’s what tests are for, the did one test, but we need to do a hell of a lot more!

Not only that, but they still need to listen to us! Not just T1 for the feedback!

Of course there are going to be contradictions, different players have different playstyles. But I am sure you can agree that everyone complains about lag, there’s no contradiction there.

2 years when people complained about siege trolls we got a red post saying that anet cannot control the playing style of a player, and hence the siege trolls were free to continue their sabotage.

But now this year apparently mike will actually ban you if you are caught doing it!
So why is that now? It didnt violate the rules of conduct before as we were told, but now it does? O.o
The rules havent changed, just their opinion of the matter. This is very very wrong! So what next could become a bannable offence?!

This objective will be the mos sieged thing ever! Forget having to go and ram down a fate or cata or treb a wall, just hold this thing with your entire zerg, and every single enemy gate will slowly be destroyed!

This is probably the worst thing they have ever done, along with added even more PvE into WvW.

Why? Simple.

Lots and lots of players have left this game since launch. Yes new players have come to the game, but again some of those left as well.

Because of this many zones on many servers felt empty to lots of players. So in order to make the game seem more active than it once was, they went to making the megaserver. Away goes server pride, and there are more players to group up with in all zones.

This also happens to be a great way for them to save money. Why spend money on 25 separate PvE servers when you can 5 which are filled up one at a time.

Now with HOT coming up, this will attract some of the old players back. If the above is correct then they will need to get more servers up to accommodate the increase of activity. And of course they will need to see how this would also affect the current servers.

It’s not toxic because coglin has always defended anet.

You can see it in the all the other forums, post something nice about the devs and they jump in to say thanks, say something bad about the game and how they could solve it, and you are ignored and people like coglin and lordkrall show up.

Sorry but you cannot improve anything if you only listen to the good things about your product. To improve it you need to find the bad things and fix them!

When they did that announcement thing this is what many said. For an expansion it seemed to lack content. Some have argued that even though they are just adding 1 zone, that zone will have 3 layers.

They are adding one REGION. They are adding multiple zones/maps in that region.

By zone, I did mean region.
I was using Zone = several maps, you Region = several zones.
Funny thing when you use similar words.

But still for an expansion this is a little lacking. GW came with almost 30 zones. The new region will probably have 3 zones, 3 layers, so still only 9 in total; and we still do not know how detailed they will be.

So an expansion with a third of the original map area added? Still kindda sounds small for an expansion.

WvW is the Game's Main Selling Point

WvW isnt the main selling point of this game, it’s the only thing we can consider to be endgame material.

And because of the imbalance any new players who finish PvE and try WvW are just thrown into confusion. They are shouted at for using their PvE gear, using an uplevel etc. They do not know what to do as their guild is a PvE guild, WvW guilds run without tags, so they come to a map and wonder where everyone is. They see orange swords, go to join only to be told to go away cos it’s a guild raid.

So yeah, for endgame material for new players, it kidda forces some of them back to PvE or to stop playing.

The new map might help cos yet again the devs did not listen to us and added a kitten tonne more PvE events and mobs to it! But maybe those will slowly get these new players into WvW.

And it’s not the main selling point cos they havent done anything major for it since launch!

OK for the last 2-3 episodes, all my markers have been pointing to the Black Citadel, and when you get there, you get to this dead end as seen in the screenshot.

I agree, this is one thing I really hate!

Ever since Living Story started, we WvW players have complained that we dont want those PvE mobs in WvW.

Finally after 3 years they are going to release a new WvW map, and what do they do? Add more PvE than we could have ever imagined! They simply do not listen to us!

Cant say much really, it was a stress test and the amount of content was very limited.

I hope the real beta will have more content for us to browse through and more things open.

Fighting the dragon was OK, but once you got people doing things properly it became rather boring. Shame we couldnt play on the new WvW map.

About time Anet said something on the matter too- feels like we’re being treated like third class citizens again with our ‘forum specialist’ having gone AWOL and nothing happening apart from the usual lock fest if anyone raises the point.

For a moment there I was hoping this was a new topic, I saw the author’s name first; then I scrolled to see the thread title, and up, it’s week 1’s thread still being bumped when we’re almost into week 6.

We really really need a mod or dev to comment on this situation. Perhaps even an apology for when we all voiced our disapproval of marmatt being picked; we saw it coming, we gave him a chance, he and the WvW devs have failed to deliver, yet again!

My card is direct X 12 ready.

Work on GW2 began in 2007, the latest DX back then was DX10.

Anet chose to build the game to cater for a wider variety of gamers, not just the ones with the newest GPUs; this meant DX9 at the time.

This of course makes sense, however development took way too long, and out came DX11, GPUs became cheaper, processors got better and cheaper as well.

I’m not saying there arent players out there with a Pentium 4 and DX9 card; but really if you havent updated your system by now, you really are limiting yourself.

But then anet did say they were, apparently, working on DX11 support, but it seems they have gone back on these words as well and concentrated on the china release and HOT.
Of course if HOT were to be a brand new game they would use DX11, but since GW2 is still on DX9, HOT will have to be DX9 as well. Which is a real real shame.

Everyone wants DX11 support, but by now we’ve all given up hope of them actually spending time and resources on it. Who knows, maybe HOT will bring in enough money to allow them to do it, but I’m not holding my breath.

Anet boasts about the graphic design of this game, and yet sticking to DX9 is a real arrow to the knee for the game in this regard as well.

I posted it due to the fact that if only a few people know about it, anet will do nothing to fix it. it wasnt until that video was posted several times that everyone found out and WvW got it’s fastest ever update in 3 years! Who knows how long that bug has been around before it was fixed.

Although the chances have been reduced, it can still happen, meaning it can give those who use it an unfair advantage; it’s still a serious issue which needs to be fixed. So seeing as the previous posters got the last fix to be made so quickly, here’s hoping this will too.

We just built an omega golem and just as it was built, more than one person tried to take it, and guess what, we got 2 omega golems from 1 print.

Couldnt repeat, but the bug is still there somewhere.

No best way is to add a GM to your friends list, and then hope the GM is online whilst the player is hacking. then PM the GM to let them know.

Leave golems disabled for 2 weeks

Players have been complaining about omega golems tearing down their siege and therefore cannot defend against an enemy zerg, especially if there are only 10 of them.

So let’s use this exploit for another WvW test. Even if you fix the exploit, leave golems disabled for the next 2 matchups. Maybe allow alphas but disable omegas.

Then lets see how this affects the night capping crews of some servers. I can tell you right now, instead of our BL and EB section being totally gone by morning, we still have it. This is most likely due to the enemy servers not being able to golem rush with omegas!

Anet’s recruitment post might as well have been a Ferguson Police recruitment poster asking for someone to represent the Black community, and adding “Whites Only” as a requirement! Yes I am exaggerating, but you cant really get a white guy to represent a black community, so…..

We gave him a chance and well if other specialists are regularly posting on their forums then marmatt is not fulfilling his role!
