If any chance you can lvl a profession up to 40 it will save you some torment. When you get to 40, get 20 points in dueling and you life will be ALOT easier. Also try get 10 in chaos while lvling as the 3% dmg / clone save you some deaths, after that domination 10 point for mindwrack 10% and ther you havea solid Staff lvling setup, now flavour with sword/focus or GS after you own personal preferenses.

@Xavi, I also use Inspiration when in group fights, lovely way to teamplay a build who stack up this insane about of boons and might. Good call.

For stacks I would go for Perception, this as your condition AND power is wery high when you started to stack. More crit give both, more crits = more blled = better use the condition dmg, more crit = better use of the crit dmg. Have not released yet but in some time we will se even higher condition and crit dmg o this build as I testing a celestial armour version.

Deathcon, different situation make me use this.

1 When i land a good set of burst on a enemy I sometimes use a shatter nr 3 for a chanse on a lucky interrupt.

2 Alot of players use a fear, cc etc just after you bursted em, this to avoid more dmg. A immunity here can help to keep preasure up.

3 If I have my 50% hp = shatter reset and see a big chance my hp will drop wery soon, then I try spend my shatters to get some free extra when the reset happens.

4 Sometimes I do things that I just do on instinkt. After endless of dueling and roaming I do things whithout know that I even will do em myself. like when you play tennis and catch a fast backhand ball on reflex rather than think about it.

Best use in my opinion and I run warden alot is situational and as controll. Several good ways to use him but no that always work. Get a feel for it.

Fighting a thief with ranged attacks? spawn a warden and keep him between you and enemy.

Downed a player? set a warden on him och suddenly its alot harder for a squishy to stealth res him + it prevent ranged interupts on your stomp.

Your ranger friend used roots? Spawn a warden on the rooted group and enjoy some nice dmg.

Need a condi clear? combo lightfield + warden to clear your cndis etc etc.

@Natsu. I changed some things in my latest version of the 20-20-30 setup. Tweeking around with some stuff still and now got al accended sorted (I tested 3 different accended backpacks). Changing around and testing runes now, accesorys and sigils.

Confusion glamour builds are still decent for Zerg combat. However, any and all confusion focused builds are, and have always been, absolutely worthless for small scale combat, roaming. They will only kill a bad player, and you will have massive difficulty taking down camps by yourself.

Ps Ty alf or have patience with my slow working. I do my bets to keep the guide up to date but last weeks so mutch happened both on gear, on memser build side and on enemy build side. My general feeling thu in wvwvw is eather Mesmer go stronger last month or enemys got weaker cause I feel there is 2 builds I can use that destroy ppl both solo and group + WERY WERY hard to dwon even for a team of players.

1: you want condition, power or hybrid to be your dmg?
2: You want phntasm, clone spammer or shatter spec?
3: You want to do wvwvw,spvp or pve with your spec?

Hi.

Confusion atm in not a core dmg stat like it was in shatter condi bursts or glamour times. Sens the nerf its more a bonus dmg like sugger on the cake. The current core condi dmg specs with a staff I would say do ~60% dmg from bleed and burning, 20% from power and 20% crom other sources (torment, poison, confusion etc)

PS This is my opinon and personal experience, sure some ppl have other thoughts and calculations, I can only answer for what I personaly think/experience.

Haha Lavra, Playing 80% power shatter in sc Heavy atm, but from time to time I “de-dust” my condi gear and remember the glorious “confusion 7k ticking shatter burst” days.

Smal tip. Always be polite to ppl when trying to intruduce a vid/build or whatever. Even if ppl ask things that for you is obious or even sound weard. By be unpolite and hostile you never ever will get ppl to feel in a postetive way about your vids.

Also to adress someones english in a multi national forums is not only rude, its a bit weak. Ignore spelling mistakes and look at the core of the message. Some of the smartest ppl I know also spell/write wery bad. This not stopped them from good jobbs and masters at uni.

Also 10 vs 10 let more classes matter. A thief in a 10 vs 10 can turn the tide if timed in a timewarp ( <3 Idle ) but in a 20 vs 20 it juts become a spam nr 1 train. This is why we so impressed by the 10 vs 10 versus you Punk. You are a big guild but in smal guild numbers like we in judge normaly roam in yo showed great strength.

@Truewin, This is accualy a good suggestion. Have so many ppl ask about my keybinds it might be worth make a mini tutorial, like the voice driven ability tutorial.

@Moaning Marv, Na,those 50 hp will not be so big difference that it worth work al the way for a new backpeace. Its depending on if you went for a defensive or offensive slot. Just make sure you get a defensive nec or something and its equal. Also if you get al 6 infusions from wvwvw you have 6 extra stats

Hmm never done a vid of camp clearing but you can clear any camp on a shatter mesmer solo. With 1 defender I usualy focus him first.

Solo non player defended camp:

I generaly Just go strait in to the mis, poping a chaos armour on the way and a clone, hit immunity and let them fire. Folow up with a chaos storm im mid and staff 2 for another chaos armour. Swap to focus and pull al in to the storm, make a warden in mid, sword + leap + swoad 2. By now I have 25 stacks of might and most are low hp. Shatter, dodge dodge shatter 2, swap to staff and end whats left.

@Deadhamnh. tbh untill you know what gamestyle you like dont invets in expensive runes, strat with orbs. When you know for sure if you will go Pve or wvwvw and what kind of wvwvw ( you in a roaming or siege guild etc) you start focus on get a gear set.

1:To farm your gear and start I would say Shatter Cat Heavy 3.0 with some extra zerker gear in the instances and a GS in your bag for soem bosses. It keep you alive and let you learn the shatter gamestyle without get puniched to hard when you do a misstake. Alternative S C Phantasm Hybrid with a GS.

2: Hardest top, most newbie friendly to bottom (OBS that a build is newbe friendly dont say the skillcap is low,just that the starter cap is low, easy to start, hard to master)

S C – Phantasm hybrid
S C – Original
S C – Dmg&support
S C – Mist2.0
S C – Heavy 3.0

3: Save al laurels to buy “Chavaler” accesorys. this is the hardest to obtain and at same time most important.

Save badges of honnour untill you know for sure how you will buy gear, fist part usualy is “Chest – knight”.

Get a set of berzerker weps and good sigils, this is your core dmg.

Wery different how you play aswell, in organiced team the survival > dmg as a rally for enemy team in GvG or open world can make you lose the fight. For roaming you simply use your skills etc for more dmg and less focus on survive.

@Azure, There is a reason behind the runes in my builds. We mesmer have 2 big wekness spots. First is conditions second is speed. The two runesets I recomend in my builds is focused on handle this two base problems.

The reason you dont like to get rid of scolar is probobly dmg based (econlomy is always easy to fix). Dmg in the build I show is not a problem. For shatter cat heavy your dmg with might stacks is close to a GC build but your survival is fantastic, 60% less condition uptime not only leav your dodging alot of dmg but also its harder to controll you.

For my other builds I use Air, this give a on demand swiftness who is extremly wc.

@Nikkin, Testing most new things that come, but I dont relesae stuff untill i feel I given it enought time etc to say for sure that “this is what Osicat recommend”. A new build example S C Heavy 3.0 needed 2 weeks of testing in both solo, smal and medium team wvwvw + spvp and instances before I felt i knew its weakness and streanths. Had 2 other versions I scrapped inculding a wvwvw full accesorys – celestial.

For spvp Celestial amulet + gem work fantastic thu with the 3.0 SC H build.

But as said, I come bakc with more info when I knew better.

Hope I can help, I understand that my updates can be slow sometimes but with so many patches latley plus the fact I hate to give info that I in a week or more not 100% happy with.

@Shimmerless, Thats the core of teh Shatter Cat HEavy 3.0 , The combination of strong survival, strong condition dmg and burst dmg of a shatter build. Its the most optimiced of my builds and wery wery flexible. The stacking of might who now in latest version reach insane numbers like 20-25 regulary keep your dmg high both sustained and burstwice. You have to monitor your stacks.

@Herb, you have a chanse in a good roaming build, bail. This is the CORE of al good roaming professions and builds. Not the ability to kill 5 vs 1 but to kill ppl as long as you can but as soon you loosing you can run. Mass stealth, focus slowing field/pull, staff nr2, sword leap, blink, portal, decoy and even iwarden is abilitys who help you leg it. If its 5 ppl jump you and you run you might get away or 3-4 get bored of chase the sneky mesmer and you endup get a nice 1 vs 2 or 1 vs 1.

In Heavy or Mist spec I usualy have a portal out before I start a attack and just portal out if I about to lose. If I get jumped in open I decoy, blink drop protal on sneky place, run drop focus field, massinvis and on los drop my portal and toke teh fits etc.

@Cempa, like al conditions build strong versus alot of oponents, the stealth make it possible to withdraw if you cant win witch is needed for any romaing build unless you a kamikaze. Its only weakness is classes who chwe conditions for breakfast, tanky d/d, necro and 0-30-30-10-0 thiefs (good ones).

When I say wekness thu I dont say they eat you alive, I mean that in al cases you have a hard time kill em but exept the necro you not realy a threat to kill you eather.

Like most condi builds for mesmer is sutained dmg is superb, its good condi burst aswell unless you play vs one of the named classes above who clear your burst condis. Personaly I find it a viable build but not as strong in 10-15 group content or in many cases solo as the shatter cat heavy 3.0 that I normlay play.

It do shine thu in ~5 man team or in duo with 1-2 thiefs and for trolling is the best build I played.

@Herb, Both look viable builds, personaly I dont feel I need more toughness or condi dmg, I working on get power up and buing power infusions to al my assesorys. Also why I love the mightstacking. The condi dmg I get is 350~+ might. so at 25 stacks I hit 1k.

Toughness I found the magick point to be at 1650, this + health let me survive the worst burst even form a team if I just use my utilitys etc correct. Preci should be high on my sword and so it is, 47% with food crit chanse.

@Delson, I often fight in mid of mig enemy zergs, my main issu at that point is not to tag enought but to survive the fight and not give them free rally If you want range zvsz thu shatter cat support/dmg might be your build.

I play in a 12 man team but we hit what ever we find, often kamikaze style. I get a big amount of loot thu so tagging is not a issue even if I dont care for loot as you seen im my vids

Hi mate.

I do an extreme big amount of solo roaming and done so sens start of the game. Created the shatter cat guide based on solo roaming and have several viable builds for this including smal team and medium team aswell.

The build I use atm solo roaming is same I use for group but with different utilitys. Basicly is a surviving ower crit build who stack high number of Might and in a 1 vs x I often reach 25 might stacks. I win a good share of 1 vs x and if the fight is to hard (several good players) I can withdraw from combat and lose em most of the time. Not often die in my roaming runs tbh but kill alot of ppl.

Still the condition clear from torth skills make conditions in many situation a non threat to you and PU make the direct dmg to you extremly low (protection agis up so often). A personal favorite it to summon image, start torch blind/stealth, swap to staff, stay close to enemy and wait 2 sec for boons, then chaos storm on staff and just as torch 4 blast finicher on enemy do a shatter.

@Cempa, have a feeling its a 10-25-20-0-25 but not sure. I think the lack of shatter is due to lack of IP witch I would get for sure after gone 25 p in illusions as its a major dmg buff and survival.

@ErraticFaith, class can carry a player but mostly verssu bad opponents, even is the skill floor for do good is rather low versus some classes/opponents you have to agree that the skil cap for a better player give room for some amazing stuff. A player mastring the mesmer class is wery hard to take down, even for other mesmers.

No, at least not yet. I just got inspired by some threds in the forum and wanted to try my condition gear who collected dust sens glamour nerf. So I setup a 20-20-30 build, tweeked some and tested 3 different sets of sigils untill I found one I like.

As its not a pure shatter build and I not realy tested it etc like i do with my guide builds I have not setup a build/guide for it. Not yet alteast.

I try add some feedback as you took time to put the film together.

Video: Nice with soft music choice, always easier watch a vid for longer time if not al hardrock. Let the content be the adrenalin, I tend to add some uptempo mostly is shorter vids. Tbh if you plan to post a serie of vids and mabye have a channel I recomend 6 : 30 ~ to be the optimal action time, add intor outro and you land ~7 min, 6: 59 feel shorter and ppl prefere shorter.

Gameplay: Nice alternative build, not alot you could changed in first fight, good survival. Later in I personaly would used shatter more especialy the daze one for interupt the casts, as you have a mix of sword and staff clones a daze shatter would sometimes give you a long serie of controll. Also MW is a winner.

I personaly (say personaly as I dont criticise you for play in teh way you prefere, I simply say what i would done different) would be more frequent in my massinvis, I also would used the heals to mask skills, especialy for target drop before leap and to use a heal without risk get interupted.

Ring of Fire friends, I know you don’t get much WvW experience, but when someone salutes you twice after helping you and emotes a /no after you hit them and they clearly don’t fight back, don’t you think they’re trying to signal … something?

I seccond this, found a in open field 1 on 1 RoF today that I bowed to, he attacked in the bow unsure what I did, so I downed him. Backed of and let him res. Then I did a /bow…. he attacked again without any understanding of social emoting etc. So feld obligated to down kill and place a ram on him.

Tbh nothing wrong with some social emots and communication between servers when open field. Usualy ist just fun.

Unfortunately, a lot of RoF ppl were back in PvE, checking out new content (and I can’t really blame them for that, given the circumstances) so I think we were outmanned in all the maps ( I didn’t check RoF bl, but we couldn’t move past spawn towers there). Only thing that makes me sad is that we had a queue when it was vs FoW and Vabbi…

Same sort of thing happens to us. When we’re up against servers ranked far below us, we tend to get fully queued up borderlands, when we’re up against server near or above our ranking, suddenly it’s much easier to get in :P

Personaly I prefere the times even if this matchup been fun 2. When the times casual wvwvw go back to pve due to harder matchup is when you find yourself fighting back to back with the core never die smal guild teams like [Tchuu Tchuu] [TDA] etc. Lucky Gandra have a strong core of 10-12 smal guilds and a few bigger who keep fight nomatter what.

Same when enemy have it hard teh few on fighting usualy is the most stubborn and fing smal fights versus Drakkar and RoF now so far been most fun in this matchup, the big carma trainis more fun to avoid.
