Creating my first and still my favourite, sylvari elementalist. I remember spending around 2 hours creating her, but i was eager to play sooo much, but i wanted to see every class and race and…. just…i.miss that feeling when everything is new and exciting

Let’s not add that, let’s fix skin drop rate or add a vendor that let us exchange a stack of pristines for a skin of your choice.

I lvled my thief to 80 in no time and i wasn’t even trying. I was more than happy to use lvl 20 scroll, and finally i could use my birthday and xp boosters i got stacked in my bank, along with food effect and utility effect. And i was completing map and doing story

Only now, even when i am doing my map for 5th time, my traits are empty, i will have to buy a lot.

Oh, apparently i have a pistol also, discovered it today while i was equiping my thief. Maybe i have some more skins i forgot about that are not scepter, focus or dagger.

But on the bright side, all my alts are fully fractal skinned, even underwater weapons.

I’m not going to say 2 years because i spent 3 months lvling my main, but in 1.5 years of running fractals i got staff, trident, speargun,spear, rifle, hammer, two shortbows, longbow, sword and a torch. I run only with my ele and i was hoping for dagger, scepter and focus. Nuff said.

Today i joined lvl 36 fractal. 3 warrs and a guard and me as ele. Swamp first as usual, passed smooth. Second fractal hammer one. Killed the boss, a warr kept “gimme might ele” so i tried, i run s/f, i gave might as i could but people doesn’t seem to be aware of cd. I tought to myself: why you don’t ask guard for might? So i carried the hammer. To first set of seals.

Then, the same warr whispered: pls reroll on warrior on guard.

I asked why?

Then he said: just do it.

I sayed: no, really tell me why.

Then someone asked in party chat: why??

In split second i understood the same warr is trying to kick me.

I typed in party chat: so, you are kicking me eh?

…loading screen….

I was mad. I wanted a reason. Whatever reason i would except it.

I whispered the guy who kicked me: really? Really?
have fun.

5 min later i get a mail.

He said: sorry
and send me 50 silvers.

I got the urge to write something back, but i just returned it.

Please, don’t do that. At least give a reason.

I managed to farm geodes for 50 clay bricks and 3 recipes. I’ll think again when i’ll be doing dry top again. Not because i get lost a lot, it’s because i just don’t like the map. But it’s good during sandstorm farm.

Ever since they imported lfg, never waited more then 10 min in any lfg. Eu server.

You have no use of maxing professions on lvl 22. You would be creating items you can’t use or sell really low on tp.

And explore, gather materials and craft along the way, you get tons of materials as you lvl trust me, there is no need to buy it from tp.

What would you possibly need to buy with gems at lvl 22? Armor skins that you need to reapply every 20 min as you lvl up? And gold? You really need that legendary precursor on lvl 22. That’s essential especially on lvl 22.

My advice is: just try it. Starting lvl 1 create your own lfg. No guide or videos will help you that much as running it yourself.

In these past 3 days i managed to craft all items for mawdrey that i don’t need and can’t use on my sprout that is apparently so very special since dulfy crafting guide doesn’t apply on it.

I wasted about 80-100 gold. And since i don’t have gold, i’m extremly mad and thinking to quit crafting mawdrey. I bought 14 plates of spicy, and 7 plates of meaty plant food, 3 clay pots (i crafted one), around 60 foxfire….

But now out of spite, if it takes me another 100 gold i’ll craft that thing. Even if i have to sell everything in my bank and don’t have enough to wp, i will make that thing.

Edit: Ever stop to think that perhaps the reason the staff ele died at range is that they spent their time in water to heal the group instead of themselves? Of course you did not think about that as it is about you!

By the way I have 9 level 80s and am quite aware of how each of the professions work!

Regarding waterfield, it has never been seen on other players, just ele who is, you guessed it, hogging it milion meters away and still die. Judging from 6+ pug partyes a day.

My main is ele so if there is other ele in party i take extra attention what he/she is doing.

I have 5 lvl 80’s and still have no idea how other classes work, but i got in a hang of an ele. I played around 1900 hours only on ele and gave cca 600 hours per weapon set to see staff is the most lazy sluggish ungratefull weapon set but people still love it because they think they will be safe from max range. Mai trin, bloomhunger, mossman and all other bosses ever strongly disagree.

So gaza, you seem to buy gold or gems with real money so you don’t seem to struggle like some players ingame.

I’m for skipping. I’m for exploits. Main reason is RNG. In fractals i get a gold and a half after 4 dungeons. In pve i get a gold and 60 tokens in 20ish min.

On tequatil i get 3 greens. It takes around an hour to organize and manage to defeat it (due to overflow you need to get there early), on fire elemental i get 3 champion boxes and a few rares. It takes around 40 sec to defeat it.

So there you have it. When they fix RNG, i’ll stop skipping and exploiting.

And now some serious stuff.

I really miss my first guild. It used to be very lively with many members and the chat was allways filled with people. We used to do everything together, like a nice family. It felt really nice to log on and forget about real world for a few hours. Sadly now most of the people don’t play anymore or they joined other guilds.

I’m an oblivious idiot when it comes to reading people’s feelings, which resulted that one of my dearest friends that i met ingame, after i wanted to stay us as friends (which i know now, is probably the worse thing you can do to a person being a oblivious idiot of a person that i am, i should just stop contacting) it resulted with that persons blocked me. We havent spoken since then. And now i can’t even say i’m sorry for being stupid.

Once upon a time it was a cloudy day and i decided to do some pvp. I was still learning and i decided to do a few spvp. As the timer was counting down, a certain ranger joined and asked a gold from each player or we lose.

We refused and talked asking among ourselves is this reportable? Sadly it wasn’t.

As we played the same ranger danced on our corpses and made fun of us all the time. We lost.

Around a year later i joined a tpvp party and as we entered i noticed on the oposite party that same ranger that blackmailed us.

I didn’t say anything to my party but in my head the mortal combat theme song was playing and it was on. It was mortal combat on.

During the match the ranger kept picking on me not knowing that we previously met. I was playing my ele and owned him every single time then jumped on his corpse untill he ported. He whispered me few times and cursed at me.

We were around 100 points ahead of them then i whispered him: hi! Remember me? He said no then cursed again.

Then i said… give me one gold and i will leave you alone

He stopped whispering me and i didn’t see him the rest of the fight

What phil said. But lucky i enjoy fractals somehow and i kind of excepted the fact i will never get the skins i want. So when i get some skin i will be plesently surprised.

Ele is my main and i have around 1700 hours on her. I totally depend on 4 water in my traits ever since the start and i’m full ascended zerk. Now i can’t play without it. It heals me a little every time i switch on water and cure one condition on me (same to my party). This si super usefull in dungeons saved me tons of times. Try it.

I see a lot of people thinks quantaty means quality which i’m sorry to read. Nicky minaj has about 300 milion views on her music videos, does that make her a quality musician? Nope.

I crafted my light ascended zerk armor, staff, scepter, focus, and two daggers. After about…. 500-600 gold that i sinked into my gear my new guild (apparently very very elite) says that i made a mistake by selecting stonecleaver stats on my weapons and that why did i spent 100gold on useless gear. I’m quitting the guild tomorrow, but on topic: you can craft it but its a huge gold sink. Your call.

It seems whatever anet does people are not happy. I’m thrilled with no instance owner, it reduces dungeon selling and gives me option to kick someone who might be complete kittenhole but since he started the dungeon nobody can do anything about it. I did and still do pugs quite often, so i know what i’m saying.

During 2 years of often pugging i’ve seen all sort of kicking, from swearing at other players and threats to kick if they don’t do this and that, i think no instance owner is the best thing ever.

People complain because now the question is: …wait…even i started the dungeon now i can’t tell people to f themselves and threaten them to kick if they don’t play as i command? Whoa that means i have to be nice to my group even tho i started it? Even if my royal glorious behind started this dungeon? Well that is not cool anet. Not cool at all.

And to the OP, if you have problem to write a description, type a few extra letters and ask people who join if they read it, then i don’t know what to say. Most people read the info before entering, and even if you have a rebel among your pug team you should not have a problem kicking it from the party.
If you end up being kicked, then it’s probably better, you should save yourself a lot of sanity by not being in that party.

25 person dungeon? What a kick-o-rama that would be.

2 years ago i started to run fractals with my ele with a goal to get skins to be fancy. Today, i have 4 alts fully equipped with fractal skins even underwater weps, and my ele has only staff (that i rarely use). And i do lvl 38 and 49, sometimes 50 daily. With my ele. And i have no skins to apply on ele. Not even a trident.

I have been playing fractals for 2 years with my main, ele. And i got every skin but: dagger, scepter, focus, trident. I have fully equipped all my alts with fractal skins except the one character i INTENDED to equip with fractal skins in the first place and i can’t tell you how frustrating it is.

Junkpile i’m sure you are not as bad as you think. I tought i can’t play ele too a year ago but then i noticed builds and playstiles other eles are doing and felt awesome especially pvp, after pvp i feel like a pro.

Yeah and this “going-to-market-to-buy-loaf-of-bread-i-hope-senpai-notices-me” outfit is pretty popular. Not sure why.

This is one general question, a little too general. But i’ll try to answer. For start, a staff + elemental/s is nice choice. Gives you good dmg and elemental is like a shield taking dmg for you.

The thing with elementalist is it’s pretty hard to play. You are pretty shishy and have to dodge a lot. The staff is good for lvling because (it helped me when i got a hang of it) you can keep your enemies away and kill them without them reaching you.

So for start, read what every spell does. You can outsmart your enemy, like switch to earth, press 4 to put a wall in front of it, switch to water, put an ice field to slow him down once wall dissapears, switch to fire, roll backwards and cast 5 on fire for meteor shower, then earth again and lock him with 5 to take as much dmg in meteor shower.

And you know, stuff like that. Be creative and outsmart your enemies. And don’t be afraid to experiment with weapons.

Oh come on, ranger/thief has one of the skimpies exotic armor in the game, a bra and tight leather pants. And there is token armor that offers not so treanchcoaty alternatives.

Hammer ia still bugged if a person that carries a hammer and gets thrown off by wind the hammer sometimes gets stuck on the way down on some random cliff that cannot be picked up again. They fixed nothing.

Every new patch is the end of the world on the forum.

Everybody is quitting, demanding something to be fixed as they say.
Every but every time the patch comes up the forum is full of 3 pages of complaint threads like: omg give us the human female idle animation back OR I’M QUITTING AND YOU CAN’T HAVE MY STUFF,
or: omg so confus, i can’t roleplay now because of confus double names when type, much quit, never return!

That’s why some other players who have some good ideas, more important then idle animation, are shadowed by these silly threads about nerfing the flowers in the field. that’s why those ideas aren’t taken seriously.

This just comfirms that people will NEVER be satisfied whatever anet does. This kittenstorm of profanity comming their way just because they removed human female idle animation? Are you serious?? That’s why we can’t have nice things.
