Started dungeon myself, found people via LFG, got kicked after last boss died so i didn’t get reward. Trolls at it’s best. No way to prevent it besides making full premade which is not possible for all of us.

Can’t even report those players because team chat doesn’t save names once you got kicked out of team.

At least when you were dungeon owner, being kicked also caused everyone being kicked.

Playing for two and a half years, no precursor drops. Played forge, no precursor drops. Played fractals since they are released, no tonic and got all the skins but the ones i actually wanted since the beginning.

Managed somehow to craft minstrel. I’m no gold farmer i play for fun which is apparently highly un rewarding. Most expensive drop was mini kesmeer during the southsun events and i sold it for 30 gold at the time.

Doing world bosses daily, once i got enthropy from golem mark 2 which i sold for 20 gold. That was a one time only, i got around 12 exotic weapons in 2 years all around 2 gold each.

Meanwhile, i have watched people get multiple precursors from random mobs, people doing lvl 50 fractal for the second/third/fourth time and getting fractal tonic, people throwing few rares in the forge a few times and every other time getting hunter of the legend or zap. People getting 5 precursors a month, people not playing for 2 years and when they come back they get a random precursor drop and poop like that.

so i just decided i need a 1-2 month break because it is starting to kitten me off how rng is so unfriendly with me all the time. I started to hate the game so i think it’s the time for a long break so rng can be unfair to someone else.

Are you posting this because people would swoon over this? Because sir you are doing a right job

I was almost put out of the game due to my hand arthritis and tendonitis.

What I have done is hotkeyed a right and left click on my keyboard so I minimize the right and left clicking on my mouse. Just running long distances and clicking 250 times to buy a stack were the big things that almost put me out.

My question is this: what have other people done to help with these (and other QoL) issues?

Please note that I am not posting this to complain about the issues… there are plenty of those posts, almost all I agree with. I am posting this to find ways we have found to cope with it as is.

i don’t have arthritis or any bone/joint problem, but in a last 2 months i had 3 major inflamations of my right (mouse) hand where my fingers would swell up and it would look like i was attacked by a angry swarm of bees. I went to a doctor and everything is fine, he told me that was because excesive mouse using and my poor circulation. First i tought he was joking but it was true.

I guess consuming luck is just too much for me.

So now i play every other day because if i play two days in a row the fingers start to swell up again.

I suggest not playing more then 3 hours a day and after that a day of rest. Also drink magnesium daily it helps with the pain a lot.

And buy the largest mouse you can buy so arm weight is distributed more evenly, meaning less pressure on the joints, but test the mouse buttons if you can, if they are really light to press that would be ideal.

I found these birds in Harathi Hinterlands i think, they move and all but are not clickable or killable. I find this strange.

Meanwhile i’m sitting on a stack of shards and have no idea where to use it.

You can break shards to globs, and globs into vials If you didn’t know.

I don’t think that they had the wardrobe thingy in mind at the release date, so why should they log what skins every player once owned?

When someone’s acc is hacked, they return all the stuff people had before the hack. So i’m guessing it’s not impossible. Also with dyes, if you had double dye on your alt, as soon asd you logged in to your alt, you would get an unindentified dye for every double dye you have. So i’m guessing it’s not that hard to look into it. Again, maybe i’m wrong, maybe it’s super hard and not doable at all. I still think it’s unfair. If they didn’t think about the warderobe (players didn’t know either, if i knew i would store every skin in my bank and wait), then when they implemented it it would be fair to unlock the skins you had trough game right?

Am i the only one who finds this annoying? The skins we transmuted before the warderobe system are gone forever apparently, and i can’t belive they aren’t added to our warderobes. I had few SAB skins, as well few cultural armors (i have the achievent but the skins are nowhere to be found in my warderobe) and some dungeons armors and weapons.

Is it so much work to enable this? A net has to have some kind of log what we had. Maybe is too much work for them idunno.

Or stand behind tequatil and wait to be feared into the water, worked for me I still have no idea how i got it but that did the trick.

on more serious matter i discovered that i have to take two day break every now and then because my finger joints swell up and are painfull and look like i was stung by bees because there is too much clicking involved in game. And i’m a healthy 23 year old with no bone or joint problem (had it checked out by doctor, he said that it’s from over-use of the computer mouse)

I was having a pleasure to watch 2 guildies that started a fractal play tag for 15 min and refusing to press rdy, also fair share of rage quits resulting the entire party to get kicked out, so no thanks.

I thing op is refering to triple trouble. Anyhow, google for the event timers, be on the map 10 minutes early and keep an eye on lfg, there is allways someone taxiing people in, join the party that taxis and right click on the player and select /join in blabla/ and you’ll be transfered on the map full of players doing it. Sometimes guilds start the event and start the event as soon as the map is full.

Combination of that armor and runes is double edged sword. You can be good in everything you do or incredibly bad in everything you do. The second option is most probbable.

I lvld 4 chars before the change and i casually hit 80 after 1 week maybe more doing maps and gathering experience. I lvl 1 more to 80 after the change. It took me a week and a half because i was playing it for 1 hour. Complaining about lack experience is really odd since you get exp whatever you do in this game.

I soloed loads of champs i met during running around the maps with no problem (classes, ele, warr, necro,ranger and thief)

You’ll find that quite often when trying to help people unfortunately.

I really look forward of gambits on lvl 50, so i can feel even more angry when i get nothing upon completing it.

Maybe i should quit the game for a half a year maybe then i’ll get a precursor. I’m serously considering it now.

map completion of areas 65+, everything else depends on your luck.

People in this game often think they will get everything with minimal efort.

It took me half a year to complete my first map completion due wvw and yet i didn’t wrote a forum topic about it. I waited out the switches and completed it. After that i did 3 more world completions and am working on the fifth which is allmost over. Patience is the key, zerg joining on resets and stuff like that.

Asuras are little sheldon coopers.

I will probbably not buy it because it will be hideous how many people will have those wings not to mention asuras run around with those things on their back looking like imps. And clipping problems and imagine jumping a jp with those, you can hardly see anything.

you can play it safe and get t6 mats and just sell them. ascended rings will drop during fractals, rest of the ascended trinkets can be bought with commendations.

Eterniti has different footfall and a shiny handlebar. It still counts as a different skin.

I play for allmost 2 and a half years and i have no clue what “promoting” stuff means.

I’ll try to explain to you as simple as i can.

1. every profession goes to lvl 500 except cooking and jewelery

2 i recommend you try cooking first. It’s cheap, easy and fun to lvl.

3. You can have 2 crafting professions per character, learning it for the first time is free. Just go to lions arch or some other main city and find a crafting station you desire, next to it will be a professions vendor who sells reagents, recipies and other crafting stuff for that profession.

4. Tailoring makes light armor, weaponsmith makes swords, rifles, greatswords, sharpening stones (utility slot consumable) ect , leatherworker makes medium armor, armorsmith makes heavy, cooking makes food, artificier makes staves, scepters, focci, making higher infusions, combining luck etc, jeweler makes rings and trinkets and so on.
Use your brains and logic; you surely wouldn’t pick tailoring if you want to turn ore into ingots.

5. I just figured out what promoting means. I tink that means throwing in t5 materials and getting t6,or making a loadstone out of two cores. you can always check for the mistic forge recipies online.

6. No npc mate, learn yourself it really isn’t that hard. They even made it simpler then before You lvl the profession trough converting ores into ingots, scraps into bolts, making items like armor and weapons, it’s really not that hard.

7. All profesions that are going to lvl 500, at lvl 450 you get ability to craft ascended stuff, after that it pretty much lvl’s by itself.

So you are saying you got lucky getting 3 precursors, crafted 2 legendarys, and now you whine about somebody undercutting you in tp?

Yesterday i put lfg for fractals: lvl 25 3rd fractal

A ranger lvl 35 joined. I gave him some time and asked: are you going to reroll or? Then i saw him load into the game with that ranger lvl35. I kicked him.

Then i wrote: lvl25, 2 warrs and 1 guard 6k+ach,bring a sock so i know you can read.

Then i had to kick 4 more people who i wouldn’t usually kick but sometimes you get kittened at the fact people don’t give 2 fornications about what’s written on lfg, hoping ohhh i’m sure i can just sliiiide trough nobody will notice tee hee.

Being “picky” as you say, is sometimes crucial for smooth runs. Being picky will not so much lead to a rage quit. Being picky will save your nerves.

Make your lfg and don’t be picky nobody is stopping you.

Phoenix gloves and shoulders, carapace legs and chest, cabalist boots and head gear is from gem store can’t remember the name.

It’s cof medium shoulders, but on charrs everything looks bigger Especially shoulders.

Saw them today in la near mystic forge ( they looked like they are forging something) three of them. But i tought somebody has some wierd tonic that i missed that spawns them idunno.

I tried to used it, threw 200 gold in it, got few perl exotics, then took a 2 month break from the game.

This is comming from a person who never got anything worth over 30 gold in 2 and something years. Rng hates me i made peace with that.

I crafted myself minstrel because i have no gold for meteorologicus. I have to earn every single gold trough dungeons and sw farm and sell the mats. But it’s ok, at least i appreciate what i craft because of all the hard work.

On the other hand i know lot of people who buy gems with money and they get a precursor every now and then, like 1 every two months. Interesting.

And somebody posted not so long ago that in past 3 months he got about 9 precursors.

That’s rng for you.

Just don’t use the mystic toilet and flush your gold and you will be happy.

This is not my experience but i’ll confess anyway.

While back, a year ago my friend was doing fractals lvl 38. In his party was a fella who kind of sucked and my friend confronted him and sayed he is awful and has no clue how to play.

The guy then explained he doesn’t have hands and played with some kind of attachments or something….

He got kicked out the group and then my friend posted lfg: fractal lvl 38, must have hands.

I laughed more at this then i should, way more

- i’m laboratory tehnician and work in farmaceutical company

- in summer 2014 after a year working in goverment laboratory i finally broke down under heavy mobing and constant sexual harrasments and had severe anxiety attacks that ruined me mentally (a proper mental burnout and i couldn’t eat for 2 months or leave the house) and forced me to quit a job that basiclly was a dream job in my country since they can’t fire you whatever you do and you are pretty much set for life. But i quit that job and still am trying to overcome my anxiety and i’m slowly succeeding. Only positive thing that kept me going is my bf that i met at work during that hell year, he was only reason i endured it for a year and kept comming to that hell hole every morning.

- now i work in private company and make nasal sprays and baby creams with cool equipment, and my bf is working in the same company since he quit along with me

- love my family and close friends and bf who sticked with me and i will allways be grateful to them for so much patience

- gw2 helped me a lot in forgetting about outside world and helped and still helps me cope with my anxiety

- i’m naive as a sheep and allways trust people which proved wrong over and over again but somehow i still trust everyone (hope that changes some day)

- i genuinly belive everyone is good

- i love to please people even if it means i will brake my own back in making them happy (that too proved very bad but eh…)

- playing games since 12, wow was my first mmo but after gw2 came out i just can’t get back to wow

- i’m thinking in going back to skyrim for a while and shoot some chickens or fus ro dah lydia off the cliff

- i met some great people during my 2 years of playing this game and that makes me happy

- i may take a few brakes from the game now and then but i will never fully quit it (and especially since i spent 500 gold on my ascended light armor and weapons, and expansion is comming)

- no kids, no husband, no debt, living in a house, have a nice little car, 2 spoiled cats

- i’m super lazy

as a person who completed map 4 times, and now i’m on 80% on my thief for fifth map completion, in my opinion… if you want to do exploration, do it.

On low lvl maps you get pretty usefull stuff like linen or cotton, sometimes black lion keyes or transmutation charges, and usually 2 pieces of gears (unless it’s a town you are completing, you will get exp and transmtation charge). On 60-70 or higher you’ll get pretty sweet stuff, exotic items (armor+armor, armor+weapon, weapon+weapon) T6 metarials and black lion gooodies.

And, as you are exploring you will gather nice amount of ore, herbs and wood of all kind along the way so that’s extra money if you are gonna sell.

So you decide if you want to save it for higher lvl’s or do in now. You can allways repeat the process you know with different char.
