The crossing is a Mystic forge weapon. You need a recipe to craft the gift wich is overpriced. and the staff itself is cheap at 175 and fairly priced at 200 due to the mats.

Gift of souls (need recipe 300 gold or just buy it: 115 gold)
for crafting you’ll need
(recipe: 300 gold)
1 gift of knowledge (500 coe tokens)
100 Crystal lodestones (32gold)
50 ecto (16 gold)
250 ori ingots (25-28 gold)

Then mystic forge:

gift of souls
Eldritch scroll (50 skillpoints)
20 sigils of night (40 gold)
100 mystic coins (well 100 dailies or 1 gold)

For The Crossing

so making it cheap: buy gift and mats and throw in the forge = 150-160 gold.

Well The only event I did since the patch was a temple of melandru I stumbled on.

I do not find a “schedule” fitting for a dynamic game.
I do not like the ultra zergs at all.
I don’t have time to put an app on my phone and come running each tiume the needed event is on.
I do need a game which relaxes me and gives me the feeling I’m relaxing and enjoying myself, I can find this in dungeon, although the loot nerfs were uncalled for. I find it in WvW, but the dynamic events in PvE are now broken relics of a better time,

Generally speaking world-bosses are like Lions Arch at them moment, And A-Net is Scarlet… Hope you’ll do better. All your fancy time machines (marionettes?) will not save you.

But that’s no strange occurance. Loot has been nerfed, all temples are on timers, Nobody carries the train through Orr anymore.
Why would you want to be in orr unless you’d be:
-bag farming, no wait, that’s been nerfed.
-Doing temples for the unlocks. Oh wait after the temple you need to wait half an hour to do another one, let’s just buy them and be done with it.
- Traveling expense is higher…
-WvW gives better loot, PvP gives better loot. If you’d be not interested in those two, you might go to PvE but focussing on for dungeons…
-Leveling is not fun anymore, if you’re leveling alts, but you cannot level them in Orr anyways… most ppl in orr were doing tample events, gates of arah and personal story.
At my 10th alt I rushed the story and got bored around the Island events- 50-60 I guess – and stopped. I like the first parts until you unite the trinity, but I know Trahearne to well now…. I killed the Big Z 9 times and he still manages to regrow his tail… Well Undead… I didn’t get my silver bullets or a Satke to drive through his heart, Oh , forgot, he has no heart… So he’s bound to come back…

Orr…. It was dead, then undead, alive acouple of months after launch & now killed and dead again.

Zerker nerf is not enough

Zerker wasn’t nerfed.

Critical dmg was decreased a little. Zerk has a place in the meta. All builds with critical dmg have suffered , Celestial was nerfed.

In the endif you do not like playing zerker, ten do something else, I also run other builds. see below. It doesn’t mean that zerk is the best. Also playing something other then zerk is not better or worse. they are all choices. when playing zerk you’ll kill faster, and when you have a good party you will roll trough most dungeon paths without problems. But this will be the same with any other build. you will roll through content with no problems, only with less DPS. so a little slower.

In the end that what it’s about, just speed of finishing content, the fastest genereated income.

Zerk in itself is not bad. nor are all opther builds. ppl being elitist are bad, but those zerkers you loath are not the builds you hate but the ppl playing them and making your life less pleasant.

But adding monsters with lvl 81, 82, 83 , 84 and even 85? Well It could be a challenge, give ’m agony as well, and open the ring of fire, Hi look MURSAAT!

Crafting above 500? WHY? Lets get the present ones to 500 first, shall we?

And then we come to the guild complaints that they can’t get people on one map, not even the small guilds. To those people I suggest looking to new leadership, who can actually get something organized. Other guilds, like tequatl and wurm guilds, have done this on a far larger scale (hundreds of people) before. Getting 20 people on the same map is a piece of cake compared to that. You just need competent people in charge. You’re a guild, not a random rag tag group of people. You’re supposed to be organized.

Get a core party of 5 people in a map, consider that your “main map”. Now break the group apart and have each of those 5 people form their own party so they can then join their party leader on the “main map”. It’s quick and it’s easy. Guilds complaining that they need to make use of organization, dear me.

It’s ridiculous to have to do this. We want to play the game, not the map overflow system.

I Agree. Our guild has no problems finding another “overflow” and taxi-ing everybody. It just costs more time, normally we finish guild missions in 35-50 minutes (not doing trek) And this costs additional time. All ppl in th guild are 18+ most have jobs and a RL. Wasting time on organisation which should be handled by the game is rubbish. It used to be ok. If we encountered an overflow whe would use the overflow instead of the normal map. Now we need to guess what map will be more usefull. and it hshould put us all together in 1 map when Guild miossions are started,

Doing a bounty sending 10 ppl for a target and having them travelling to 2,3 or more instances is stupid, especially if you designed the game to group players in party ffrom the same guild playing together.

The system isn’t doing what was set out to be done. I love seeing more people, unfortunately if you do events per 2 hours or 3 hours you will see a lot of zergs, why not do all world events every 15 or 30 minutes, with an hour for big world bosses (teq, wurm.. ) It would all spread out and people wopuldn’t need to zerg everything…

I’m trying to read up on this thread and others regarding the megaserver.

I’m against the megaserver. This to just say it.

I see a few pro’s but mostly cons…:
- Low level maps have more ppl in them to do events. This could be good or bad, IMHO it is BAD when ppl with lvl 80’s (me for example) join in low level events (I do so sometimes because I need to do events and am in dire need of time for other RL things in a day.) This means ppl will get help from me doing thier event. Unfortunately If I run a lvl 80 warrior (well I got 3) in a below level 10 event previously and in a below 30 event atm I do so much dmg I kill a foe in 1 skill action, maybe 2. I have all skills & traits unlocked, an effecient build and food. I normally give ppl time to tag and then one hit the spawns. but not seldom I’m so pressed for time and just rush the events. Ppl will not be able to do anything and I just do the events ASAP. They run out of options when I wipe all spawns I get my event after a bit more kills then solo. Megaservers make more ppl join in he map, the scaling has been changed and I now one-hit spawns with other (IMHO) not expected weapons as well. AND more lvl 80’s join for the same reason As I did. Megaservers add to this problem.

Events run bad when a lot of ppl join in, not only because of scaling but also because a few ppl lag. This will decrease performance. I run a high end system on cable connection, but not ewverybody doesn. ppl also use low end computers/lap[tops on wireless and busy networks. when a lot of ppl do so network lag destroys the gameplay. I see framerates go down from 120 to 12 fps. my pc isn’t working at peak no 100% cpu, no 100% GPU , just stupid network lag. A-net cannot help it, the 90% of ppl who do have their connections in order can’t help it and the other 10% often isn’t to blame but does cause this. Megaservers increase this problem.

The language barrier. Well It’s there. Why german,, french spanish & english/international had to be joined? I don’t know….. Hope you think it was smart. I got my own ideas. Megaservers increase this problem.

Guild missions, just read the above posts. I had the same experience. We have a 75 man guild and becasue ppl have had it with a-net we do missions with 15 atm, and stuill we couldn’t find space uncontested. Megaservers increase this problem to a frustrating level.

World bosses …. Pls be honest. having a yellow ball of flame with numbers is an utter waste of this game. I hate the spawn schedule and I hate teh destrution of the evnt chains. Its the most STUPID mistake in the list and its unavoidable. Megaservers idestroyed the fun.

Guild Wars 2 defines (used to define?) the future of online roleplaying games (well no you’re changing back to the old systems, just waiting to see the trinity reappear…) with action-oriented combat (Where? as its not visible anymore!), customized personal storylines (well yes…), epic dynamic events (dynamic? NO TIMER BASED!) , world-class PvP ( well balkancing is difficult…), and no subscription fees (no but you will see all thingschanging forcing ppl to use gem store items….)! Just to say so!

I noticed some adept traits can be unlocked at persoanel story lvl 50…. Why would you want to do so? Please explain…. It’s an utter waste of using the leveling tarject to learn builds and experiment. New ppl will have absolutley no clue what they need to do…. This update creates more noobish noobs not able to play effetctively causing more LVL 80 party wishes, ingame hate and frustration

I’m ready for an instant REMOVAL of the Megaserver. That’s how great The Megaserver is is. All low levels cheering is a sight for sore eyes, but they’ll become lvl 80’s as well and have the problems I see. It’s no flexible game anymore… It’s rigid and obligatory. Well I’m going to get may traits now! Are you going to buy them? well I do not have skillpoints yet I just started… Ohh bummer, You can use this build after 2 weeks of roaming then you can have some fun , but for the good traits you’ll need to wait untiol you are bored to death, yes you can level 4 alts as well, AND YOU HAVE TO DO THIS ALL AGAIN!

Dungeon scaling… Well AC used to be fun, its boring now, we’re fighting paper bags now. Oh wait also in CM, TA, SE, Cof…. Hmmm… Nice job there.

Well good luck with your experiment. I’m off to get some free gold now… AC is fun I can drag 3 lvl 35’s through the dungeons with a warrior and a guard, with minimal effort, only delay is ressing them after each boss.. If they’d have some traits…Now that would be nice…

I’m glad MegaServers provides a good experience leveling new characters/ alts for you.

We just did Guild missions and had to search for a empty “overflow” cause there were 5 guiilds standing in line for the puzzle, we cooped the rush and were invaded by another guild while doing the challenge…

My waypoints are not readable anymore, dungeons bosses are on a scheme instead of a trigger, no longer showing me where to go for bosses and the schedule so nicely thought of by Anet casues havoc with my RL, so I do not do any bosses anymore. Wait until you are 39 with 1 kid and a household… If you’re still plying you’ll know what I mean.

Always nice tgo have help, aslso nice scaling has been adjusted… really wondering how the temple of lyssa will be with 350 ppl, guess the purple gorilla will turn the whole of Orr to one desolate glass mass with 1 hit…

Other events I can barely play, seeing only flashes and blobs instead of fights,My epilepsy finds this a interesting development and consequently makes this game an interesting rollercoaster of good times and Partial Complex Attacks leaving me zombielike, about the same I guess like other 150-350 1 spammers.
There were a lot of other problems for other people which are all interesting. Bu only 1 is truly needing mention

This game lags and stalls due to huge loads . caused by zergs. Ppl do not seem to notice events are better when these are played by 20-40 ppl oppsosed to 100-250 just because of the amount of data which has to be transferred, and redistributed. Causing game lag, network lag to be precise. Ppl are running huge systems to have a good experience and just see the performance going right into the gutter due to multiple instances of players put together…

I myself run a hex core i7 with 2 GTX 780-‘s I can reach 140-180 FPS in empty regions.
With guildies with good systems in instances I run 100+FPS, when in instances with general ppl, my framerate is 100+ but sometimes down to 40, in zergs it can be as bad as 12 under 3 my game instacrashes. … Not because the GPU’s are bad, but because the network load is so high, and as an effect I just DC. And me having a 100dwn/20up Mbit cable connection doesn’t solve it. Only 1 person in a zerg needs a mediocre connection (ping wise or data wise) to turn all of our experiences into sluggish skipping trash.

Making all of the servers bigger doesn’t alleviate this problem, it just makes it worse. Even minimizing info , reducing packages still creates this problem. ppl useing wireless instead of wired connections create this problem. slow computers create this problem… And it’s worsened by the megaserver, witch in itself is a beautuful idea but completely the most stupid idea considering the technology part…

But still I’m happy you are happy leveling now cause you find other ppl. Unfortunately the rest of the game suffers a LOT, lost a lot of character and performance due to the illusions spun by A-Net’s staff. Programmers are not Network specialists, but they surely could have communicated this and though about better ideas.

I really hope there will ba a change leaving you to play a nice interesting game in low level and for others a lag free choice in the world bosses/ lvl 80 area’s and event areas…

Have you all just considered what a warrior does with the vitality phalanx trait?

It renders all might bonusses useless. as the 1 warrior can keep 20-25 stack of might up ALL the time for his team… (forceful GS , FGJ and Signet of rage., any might from combo’s could be very useful as well)

Thank you for shaking up the game ,

Of the look of it, it seems A-Net has a cash flow problem….
Well, that happens if you only produce garbage!

You have succesfully achieved the folowing:

  • DESTROYING A BIG PART OF “THE LIVING WORLD CONCEPT”! *
    You know the great plan which made Gw2 the shiny among MMO’s everywhere….

And In the process you also succeeded at:
- destroying boss farms, (not my biggest worry, but 3 of my friends already left because)
- destroying dungeon reruns, I do mind.
- destroying regular spawns of world bosses on a server bound schedule, I really hate it and it makes the game a lumbering monstrosity of too many player doing events My hex core i7 with 2 SLI-ed GTX 780’s and 32 gb or RAM amost had a frame freeze when I entered an event. 12 FPS… instead of 40-60FPS in a group fight (Oh… And 120+FPS in open world, but capped at 60)… I pity the laptop users… One of my guildies has a lot of fun at 6-12 FPS now she bought herserlf a laptop cooler… used to be 2-3, how she managed to get to lvl 80? Well I guess with pure determination, But she let me know she’s gonna do Smite for a while.
- Adding traveling costs, lets pay 2 times now I do not only pay for travels i need to bride the asura as well< else I might become the next fractal…
- making events not noticable except when you’re on map.
- bugging Orr,
- bugging all low level dungeons,
- create unbalanced sigils and runes,
- nerfing loot
- nerfing the MF when I put in a lvl 80 I want a lvl 80 back.
- destroying normal communication in Europe…
- destroying town clothing & giving the finger to RP-ers
- making half my guild leave for other game-destinations, because they are fed up with the brilliant ideas.
- Halving my possible pve daily achievements…
- Still not giving us permanent playabel content, dungeons, races, professions
- instead of paying 3 gold 20s to acces most of my traits I now need to go places and unlock things. Well how nice and utterly slow… I’m gonna leave y 2 extra slots empty and just use my 10 lvl 80’s from now. Why would I bother to do all those events I did 100 times before at strange hours. I do not want to be forced to play, “go do the karka queen and unlock trait XIII”…(the number is bad luck! You’ll notice.)
- Now, 600 days of playing left my warriors with ~1000 skillpoints and 15 gold is 2,5 maybe 3 hours of dungeons. Not a chance I’ll ever bother with the world events any more, as boxes and drops have been nerfed, I got 172 base MF and I’ll take my chances elsewhere…
- I pay 15 gold now per character to unlock all XIII traits… instead of 3 gold 20 for all traits,

Yes, I’m gonna be able to use my wardrobe but if my friends cannot see it, what’s the point. I got 736 dyes refunded Woo-hoo.
Well I gained a lot of ranks in wvw as well, Yippee…..
Instant trait reset , but the cost of the investment in traits is either too much time OR too much cash.
well refunding traits was 3s50 copper, lets make all skills a multiple to unlock.. Well that will show thenm who is ………. (just fill in something negative.)

But I cannot play PvE anymore as I wanted to play it…

Pls just remove the coupling of events and restore an old backup or something as this is just stupid.

Just give us
wardrobe, skills, the runes sigils and bugremoving overhaul and

Leave the World, well… the WorldS….

I’d rather be alone and PLAYING WHATEVER I WANT TO PLAY WHEN I WANT TO PLAY then with 150 ppl not enjoying the game asI cannot play the things i want to play, in a fashion it was never used to be, was not meant to be and shouldn’t be.

It feels like I started a game of chess and with the patch I got a (chinese?) checkers board in return…

Lol for 25 gold per extractor he can buy 3-4 div runes. Extractors are useless.

I like most of the changes to runes, The sigils… Well as long as they function I’m alright with it. I mostly find myself wondering why certain sigils cost 20-70 gold on the TP now. without ny way to forge or craft them….

It doesn’t on the promenade of the gods… Haven’t tried it at other statues…

It really starts to fall apart. When the statues are off the effects should dissapear.

Wow…just wow.
So instead of finding a new way to play, or a different runset/traits you’re going to be an elitist jerk? Its that attitude that drove me away from zerk to begin with. I think the prevailing attitude about the nerf is positive. Yeah its down from what it is, and we are still adjusting to ALL the changes. Good luck finding a party now that more people are TRYING DIFFERENT THINGS. I can almost guarantee you’ll spend more time looking for your ideal party than it would take to just get over yourself and do the kitten dungeon.

The meta will shift most likely, Runes of strength couls get worthwhile axe as weapon over sword will be worthwhile now. But zerk will stay zerk, Ppl will need to be a little more careful playing zerk, but max dmg is and will stay the fastest dungeon. I also play zerk and I also play “freebuilds no stacking open to all (relevant) lvl dungeons” I like helping ppl to learn, but compared to an experienced stacking zerk run most other builds wil just not do. It’s simple DPS = G(old)P(er)S(econd) No more repair costs either. I will do a lot. Only way this will ever change if each dungeon gets a condition-vunerable boss with resistance againt raw dmg. say 5k toughnes..

Until then it’s just DPS, walls, shields, and so on. At least for the ppl wanting to earn quick money. And until now they’d allow a hammer/GS build or something exotic, but that will be over.

Well I like the wardrobe, although the actual wardrobe should have gotten another
place in the hero screen, try a fast weapon swap in dungeon

I really disllike the consequences of the megaserver system. If the whole of europe will be merged, I’d better brush up on my french and german, spanish ppl you’re just unlucky… but OH wait, there are 25 different languages in europe. I’will like doing dungeons with 1-4 ppl not speaking english: communication will be so good,

I frown upon the new world bosses system, I have a wife, 1 kid, a dog and 1 kid arriving very soon (wife 25 weeks pregnant, everything looking good). The fixed times will really help to NOT BE ABLE TO DO CONTENT… The good thing with the old system I had plenty of servers to choose from…
Now It doesn’t matter, just try again next day.

I do like the grandmaster traits added but I will need to buy them if I want to get them , as The fixed times will really help to NOT BE ABLE TO DO CONTENT…

If anet just would have kept the frequencies of W-Bosses i wouln’t have mattered so much… But no… Full non communicating servers doing organized evernt without speaking the same language.

Like the dyes. got 750 refunded. Hope you will have as much fun giving all toons a nice new color.

I do not mind the zerk nerf I like conditions. But unfortunatly the conditions are hear but the caps as well…

Hope you’ll like the influx of 3 million ppl if you actually release a good patch, Will your mega server hold up? Ever thought about it?

I loved to play GW1, I like the original concept of GW2, I do not like the alterations. They have proved to be fruitless…They have proved to turn ppl away… they have proved you do not understand Europe in the US….

I really don’t care about the GS meta, It’s broken.
Next meta will be axe/mace, axe /warhorn in full zerk. axe mace because of vunerability, axe /warhorn for mobiulity and dmg reduction. (well just see what happens if 4/5 warriors swap vunerability and perma weakness the boss…)

1 with zerk/pvt/carrion armors and zerk/pvt and rampagers trinkets Hybrid/zerk/PVT WvW
(whatever… ALL weapons in BOTH Zerk/Rampager)
1 with rabid armor and rabid or rampgers trinkets (rabid/ rampager S/S & LB) Hybrid tank/condi tank
1 with zerk/cavalier and zerk trinkets (zerk weapons) (Hammer/Rifle) Ferocity Hammerstun / Killshot build

Theay all have their uses, and the rest lost 12% effectiveness as well, only my Hammer/Gs/Rifle/Longbow already have a second set of sigils… TY Anet for 750 refunded dyes,,,

I really hate the changes to the systems. I do not want to:

- Wait hours for an event that previously was just waiting to be triggered, with no reruns
- Have newly modded events bug, due to forgotten testing/triggers (Behemoth)
- Not being able to see any event thingy on my WORLD map becasue it seems impossible to program.
- Notice the nice A-Net ppl from the US do not care bout the european times and just post in PDT not GMT
-Need to hope A-Net knows and strives to make 4 megaservers in europe 1 French, 1 German, 1 Spanish and 1 English/international (-> read non german/french/spanish, leaving room for Dutch and Belgian dutch speakers, Scandinavians( 4 languages), Eastern europe.. dunno how many but well those are lot of languages as well, italian and portugese, also met Africans and some middle eastern ppl… and Russians/ Belarus/Ukraine……. Well need a biggger chatbox I guess else communiucation, (Well IMHO important for an MMO? Or not) wil be destroyed or at least compromised.

I feel turned of in a way I never imagined…. PvE is no longer an experience, it a job to find out if something is running and I get a nice list not based on GMT but a BS american standard time I do not want to know about. Now see if I get in a Megaserver speaking 4 languages, which will be swamped by italian, russian and other languages as well… Then communication will falter and europe will be a big mess.

The things I now want to type I will spare you cause I rather keep my account for now.
I hope this is constructiuve comment…

Well gear used to have the name of the skin you transmuted over it , now the name of the skin that’s the original item.
(rampagers pearl staff, transmute with final rest was called final rest, now no longer: it is the pearl staff again )

I think I used potions, buff foods, a lot of watermagic and patience. I now run orr in zerk/scholar with a 30/10/10/10/10 staff, but when levelling I was running a 0/10/0/30/30 if I remember correctly I also used a lot off D/D…. It used to heal self, but if I remember that was nerfed a little later because of “invincible builds”. with the new server it should be more alive there anyways.. and ppl will hopefully love protecting water staff ele’s for their own personal continued survival… I know my staff ele can heal quite well… using arane brilliance and arcane wave and it’s 2 ater fields, regen and auto attack with heals (also works on self when in just further then melee range)

Oh and a “you suck , just get better” will be the worst most uninterested reply imaginable IMHO. Getting better in your proffession will never happen without experience, pointers and just trying out everything, ele is and will stay squishy… And everybody needs to learn. Good ele’s are very usefull in the end.

Yes because it will lower DPS. If you cannot kill it in the time your build stay up, you should change something, maybe a sigil of purity instead of a sigil of force? keep your sharpening stone and take condi debuf food

-To many different conditions
No they serve individual purposes
blind = 1 missed attack then goes away
weakness = removes effectiveness of attacks
bleed = condition DMG
torment = removal of positioning/ removes chance of escape, minor DMG If you walk you pay.
confusion = shutdown mechanic, If you use a skill you pay.
venom = Destroys healing capacity secondary condition DMG
burning = Additional condition DMG non stacking. (spike?)
vulnerability = “Lowers armor” Adds Incoming DPS received
cripple = removal of positioning/ removes chance of escape No dmg
frozen = Skill Slowing/ Outgoing DMG reduction

-Conditions can be gained by sigils and runes.
Well we’re still a long way from a condition guardian.

- Conditions are capped.
Which is good and bad. It’s bad seeing some conditions shouldn’tr be capped (e.g. bleeding) and good becasue a lot would be OP but if ppl can cast 50 stack on you you’ll die if you have no removal (and just imagine srending it back or bouncing it?….)

- Condition DMg is based on 1 stat.
NO it’s not its based on 4 becasue to be effective with DOT you need to do conditions (a big part using precision (we’ll see the near future and the new meta in a couple of days)) , boost dmg (condi Dmg & condi duration) and stay ALIVE When you are DPS-ed! (toughness (lesser extent healing))

- Ppl can stack to many stacks of Condition X and thats bad…
Well some ppl can remove 8 conditions in a row removing all my stacks every 3-4 seconds not allowing me to get above 6-12 stacks at any time. and still DPS me…. That’s also bad. But if it wouldn’t be like this, I wouldn’t be having fun. I’d just see 2 max power builds killing each other and seeing it won by the lucky dodge or the RNG favorit.

Interesting enough this thread moves back and forth between:
Conditions are OP and no, DPS is OP. Well everybody has a point. I ike conditions in PvE I’m not a PvP player, my 5 pvp wins with warrior were a rabid longbow/rifle combo. WvW I play everything: hybrids, zerks, tanks, condis, conditanks

Damage does Damage thats what it’s for, either DPS or DOT or Both. When we cannot do dmg we cannot play. Condition Dmg is to control tanks and DPS is to control conditions or is it?

I see a lot of remarks
- DOT ticks on on disengagement.
Yes it does and it’s build up slower as well.

-Condition Damage is OP
Well DPS as well, both will kill you, eventually

-Condition Duration is OP
Well… Make sure you cap the 24 second bleeding stacks, or bring something else that sends it back or removes it or debufs it (generosity/purity?)

-Condition Damage should be removed
Well then remove DPS as well… No wait just remove all dmg and make all fights Costume Brawls.

Remove condition Duration:
Ok but only if we also remove all defuf food and runes,
Don’t want that, then just cap it. If someone gives you 12 stacks of 24 sec long bleeds… and you do nothing, well you deserve to die

-If Condition Duration is removed then Critical dmg should be removed
Well why not. Remove everything: Nerf the game ino oblivion and have us kill ppl in wvw not in 5 seconds but in 2 minutes, and destroy any gamespeed. Why not remove speedboosts and other boosts as well.

-PvP conditions are OP
yes they are as they limit the time you can do DPS. Either you kill him OR he will wear you down.

-PvE conditions are negligable
True certainly for confusion (most confusion doesnt even trigger on bosses with 1 attack per 5-10 seconds, torment does dmg and was very nice, but noone kites in PvE => no extra dmg), lesser problems with bleed (although…. ANY class doesnbleeds, some even do 1 or 2 sec bleeds very often with no condition dmg, and ppl cannot choose NOT to take these or need them for extra dmg removing useable stacks for condition classes In a party with 4 DPS warriors and 1 Condi warrior the condi warrior does most dmg with tormen t I seldom saw 2500 DPS through bleeds… just because the other warriors just make acontious stack of 6-10 bleeds )

-WvW conditions are useless in zerg WvW
Well they are, with 20 ppl running soldiers atm ALL conditions are cleansed with regular intervals, double so it they are shout healers.

-WvW conditions outside the zerg are OP
Well They might be. but time is against condition players if you get attacked claose to the zerg. DOT needs time to be effective.

-Not enough cleanses/ too long a recharge
Well I agree paritally: nice to take a clean which cleanes 1 condition every 40 seconds but I do agree with posters you can get 2 ,3, or almost all conditions instantly and you sometimes cannot clean that much. If you get attacked by 2 double sword warriors then you still die of conditions, but 1 was attacking you to cancel cleanses and wil not kill 1 of your allies in the same time. But still you could have understood that if a meta is condition heavy you take sigil of purity, take condition removal runeset if possible, reduce all durations with runes and food…

-Abundance of condition covers

No they are just powerful.

IMHO they are the thing I need to get if I need to carry a (dungeon)group. I did a run in AC recently and the group had a 3 low levels in it 37, 40-50 , a zerk warrior lvl 80 and I had my ele. We managed to pull things off becasue we could rely on the extra strength of the weapons, else we wouldn’t have succeeded…

The lower level characters did their best. And 2 of 3 knew AC. And 2 said they were running fine and masterwork items. We even did Kohler without too many problems. Luckily WoR was unlocked by the guardian.

They are powerfull The Lightning Hammer and Icebow have their own uses and are fun to use. Fiery GS has it’s own purpose. I’ll leave it at that, It’s a very powerful item which hase helped many pug groups accomplish dungeopns against all odds.

In PvE they are OP in the low levels but they unlock slowly for starters. You’ll be lvl 30 before you unlock FGS anyways. If you have decent armor and you move into a 1-10 areas you’ll see you’ll instakill or 2 hit most enemies without conjured weaposn anyways. It has mostly to do with the fact those areas are meant to be played while you cannot use traits yet, in lvl 0-10 white or blue armor. At lvl 35 you can get the first rares anyways (using dungeon tokesn → for 240 AC tokens you’ll have a nice shiny AC set. Rare with comparable stats both in attribs and armor.)

I would double the conditions removed with every skill, shorten the duration of recharge and ADD 100% dmg to all conditions and remove the caps. Learn to remove or die.

DOT is to compensate for toughness/tanks. DPS is to kill, most DPS will sacrifice anything to kill their target before they die, maximizing spikes. It’s also so they forget there are others who ignored dmg due to high armor (tanking the dmg and are less vunerable and cannot be killed easily, BUT there are options to remove the dmg

Warrior axe/warhorn with soldier runes… well you will have to spec a litle in survivability, but no more direct problems trhough conditions (shake it off, FGJ?)
2 removals → boon, and 3 removals throuugh shouts, you could take HS to compensate for 2-3 bleeds or part of burning? or mending :"removal another 3 conditions. zerk stance : 8 SECS no conditions CAN BE APPLIED….

Well tha
average 18 slot Mithril box goes for 2.3 gold,
legacy armor is 500 gems
10 Xp boosters 1100 gems

so realculating the 2.3 gold (about 30 gems) it means they get 1630 gems for free. Well 20 dollars/euro’s worth of free gifts, but nothing you couldn’t earn in a few days of dungeons… everything went past us at 20% reduction3before so If you really would have wanted it at a discount… 1304 gems or so. It’s about 113 gold worthif you count the full price and about 91 gold worth. with the discount.

I make between 20 and 40 gold a day atm, so it’s 2 days of playing, I bought the game in pre purchase I paid 75 euro’s or something. got less but have 9 lvl 80’s with full exotics/ascendeds, a legendary (meterorologicus well my pre was cheap (40 gold?) when I bought it, but the lodestones were 3.5 gold each then..) , and almost 3700 hours played in 589 days. I really do not want to know how many precursors I could have bought for the cash I spend until now. No really I do not.

Well In some dungeons I prefer to be owner, Especially in TA where I like running my ranger, I’ve been kicked in TA a lot due to ppl wanting all heavies and bla bla.. even at the endboss. And I really dislike it.

I have had quite a lot of LOL’s and even ROFLMAOs with (In-Party-)guild mates when the party found out I was owner quite close after their actions… also quite far into the run, also in Fractals (even with idiots on our TS, I’ll not repeat the things said afterwards). I know the other 4 ppl will give the kicker a “mean reply” on his stupidity.

And NO, I’m not a BearBow.
IMHO if you want to run dungeons as a ranger , be owner, ALWAYS and running a dungeon with all pugs is dangerous when running certain builds or build combo’s, but If you can find 2 guildies you will own a dungeon if one of the guildies opened. When running with 2 guildies, kicking of a guildie is punished with the same action against the perpetrator, which is maybe unwanted but neccesary.

But I normally also watch the party before start.

Just to name a few of bad builds and combo’s
- Condimancers with other condition builds in 1 party (with more then 2 condi’s I leave anyways. 2 could work certainly if its a necro and a mesmer)
- Cleric warriors/guardians Well they’ll keep a party alive, but doing CoF 1 will take 25 minutes, I prefer to do p1 and 2 in the same time
- sword warriors outside Arah.
- lastly I only saw it once : the feared condi guard…..
- the Bearbow?
PPL wearing shields in DPS groups, or condition weapons. Mace guardians, double mace warriors…..

I do not make assumptions on AP or armor skins. I have played perfect runs of AC with lvl 80’s below 1000 AP I also seen ppl running builds, well….. No I do not want to think about it…

Well megaservers?

I only care wether or not I can do COF or COE (HotW) now without having to do the entrance event each time. I’m running Dungeons with guild or LFG groups so I’m in a megaserver already.

I´m never ever going to run lvl 15-70 maps again becasue I got map completion on 4 characters already, other 5 toons have every waypoint unlocked EVERYWHERE. Only reason to go into a map is to start dungeon, run the dungeon and move out or do guild missions or fight a world boss (generally temples, dragons, sometimes ulgoth and FE, Wurm/Behemoth if I’m supporting a low level friend…)
0-15 is for farming X of whatever area for the daily kills/ underwater kils/critter kills…

I might return to 15-70 playing a new part of a playable story/story line/expansion/new class (or extremeley nice race) toon… but not for the map grind..

In the end I will contribute nothing to the map population. If I can only effectively earn gold through dungeons I’ll keep doing dungeons. If A-Net wants everything through the TP: No Problem!

I’ll do everything trough the TP, just doing dungeons. Next goal: get Infinite Light. 700 gold on the TP, roughly 30-50 days of dungeons (I almost never do Arah). Else it ‘ll take forever in maps with moving ori points, almost no charged core/lodestone drops (unless in CoE, where with this idea I can sell them now to get more gold and other ppl will craft it for me, if al ppl would do the same all prices would drop I guess)

If all gold/drops are nerfed: then you will have to grind and I’ll leave. No reason why I would play half a year and still not have the mats when I’m playing a game where I want to see some progression. All drops below masterwork are useless anyways. generally drops are bad already and I use 90-95% just for some mats or delete them outright. It’s not worth keeping the grey/white 4-20 copper stuff If I can’t take a fine or masterwork. 120+ slots fill up all to quick…

I never do jumping puzzles except for the one in Cursed Shore or LA, I did all and I don´t see the point sacrificing a dungeon run for 2 blues, 1 masterwork and a few empyreal fragments…
I get 20 fragments each dungeon and delete about a stack a day nowadays. the bosses swamp me with bloodstone dust I delete about a stack a day as well…

Then it leaves the world bosses: well now we know when they´ll start and they´ll be dead ASAP if you are running the GW2 MegaServer Train, with a fast computer you´ll probably get into an instance with max players running the train. GG. My dragonite is secure.

Nothing will change, only for the starters there will be a slight raise of The QoL
And for me well nothing changes.

In the end I only long for 2 things -edit make it 3 things-
a BIG content expansion. = reason to revisit other areas.
a usefull condition system = reason to NOT be Zerk

a more honest way to gain precursors. The present method it not very nice, If I could actively hunt a precursor I’d have a good reason to go to lower level areas.
I long for this game staying fresh , it’s turning stale atm, let’s hope A-net will give it some air and it should, could and will blossom… and flourish again.

In the end, FUN is the main reason to keep playing altogether… Not skins, grinds, nerfs, rebalancing, supermaps or überbosses. I wil overlook a lot as long as I have fun.

And me having fun is part of your income ppl of A-Net… no players = no cash.

Lastly I love the wardrobe/dye sharing. I got almosty every dye (except maybe some of the truly expensives TP ones) unlocked on my 9 toons. I think I’m getting 200+ dyes refunded… So.. Let’s make the game beatiful again.

then 45% on one condition
40% with bufffood
up to 20% via dual giver weapons (ps anet noticed their mistake with giver stats and “fixed” it with no ascended version)
what the kitten do u want more? that yolomancer run to u, apply x stacks of condis that lasts for over 30s and run away?
an absolute NO to such stats
no one can argue in favor of balance for such stats
think that pve armor is available for wvw 1v1

Most roamers use condition builds, I ran into staff mesmers, rabid warriors and condimancers all to often, Most rangers I meet are shortbow, axe/torch, not GS & longbow… All focus on conditions becasue its a good way to kill ppl with 2300 toughness.

DOT/condition is part of the game of course, but the combination of highest armor and so much dmg over time is horrible.
Look pls at the strongest metas in history of gw2. Beastmaster, PU condi mesmer, Condi War, condi decap Engi, Spirit ranger and so on. Tankiness meets condition dmg thats too much. Of course everyone has condi cleanings, but after a while we all used them because someone with over 2300 armor isnt easy to kill in maybe 30s?
And good Player dont spam the conditions, NO, they apply some that the foe Needs to clean them, then again some condis that they use the second clean if ist needed and then they apply everything they have and the foe have big Problems.
And ist not a good way to kill People, ists an EASY way to kill People. People who can Play Berserker and survive longer then some tanks are good Player because they know how to fight and avoid dmg. Condi bunker just run around apply conditions and can handle mistakes because after a burst they still have enough HP to survive and apply the last conditions. Of course not all, i know great pvp Player who can
Thats a big Problem currently and anet shouldnt allow to push such metas when they add Condi dmg/condi dura/tough stats

Well using DOT negates armor. That’s exactly the reason why it is there. why do most ppl use PPT or PVT in WvW? To negate (DPS) dmg. In zergs you’ll be protected by the zergs condi removals (many if not all warriors and guardians use runes of the soldiers anyways.) Outside the zergs where you are not covered by these removals is where the condi tanks shine. Both damages have a purpose and they both are entiteld to dmg. Condition damage has been nerfed into submissions over and over and over and again until the point some professions couldn’t even switch to use it effectively anymore. (Read Mesmers! they started with 10+ second shutdowns on characters and they have been nerfed so bad you cannot get to real shutdowns anymore, completely removing the condition mesmer from PvE and making it laughable in PvP/WvW unless they use gimmick builds, which were/will be nerfed, as all people not seeing the advantages of a shutdown proffession keep hitting on it. Yes remeber: they can be your allies as wel….)

If ppl are not allowed to use condi durations, well let’s continue that line and remove ferocity before it’s put to use as well. It has the same focus, to maximize dmg.

In WvW I saw a lot of guildies run Knights and Cavaliers. Thats about the same as Condition DMG/ Condition Duration/Toughness and Rabid. The first is good for the zerg, and the other is good for roaming. And being caught out in the open will leave you extremely vunerable being zerk/knights/cavalier, but you wil have removal AND heal, other way around (being condi tank in a zerg) you have condition removals until the point of shutdown.

Lastly going power/condi dmg/condi duration is nice but not really for WvW IMHO.
I see the possibilitiues in PvE though.

I hope better hybrid combo’s will arise. I do not mind the duration stats even in WvW, we will have to adapt and survive.

On a warrior/necro/ranger/guardian you can bring so much condi removal it’s rediculous. most other profffesions have possibilities for this as well. I’m not (WvW-) experienced with thieves, mesmers and engineers so I’ll keep my mouth about those proffesions.

Other idea’s : sigil of purity, generosity, poultry soups , rune of hoelbrak, antitoxin, resistance, melandru… if you really fear conditions I can guarantee you can make it so ppl don’t have much condition control, even if they have +150% duration or more.

Conditions are an important part of this game and they are way more effective on a 1vs1 then raw dmg, In pvp most ppl use conditanks for a reason…
It will open up the world for more diverse powerful builds, and you might be lucky and be playing a class that can return conditions…

“OH MY I got 20 stacks of bleed, 10 confusion and 20 torment, well you can have it back, and wait, EPIDEMIC! WUHAHAHA!!! "

I spend a half an hour looking through these posts and irt’s safe to say most ppl want:
- about any stat imaginable based on 3 stat,
- some want a 4 stat attack generally based on power as a main stat,
- a few voices seem to speak for a ferocity main stat, but you’d lose out on the power to modify
- The combo condition dmg/condition duration
- More options with boon duration preferably coupled to healing power & power, to a lesser extent with toughness

IMHO

Rings from fractals

Having the rings exchanged for 3 maybe even 5 pristine fractal relics would solve a lot of problems. I know people who delete rings instantly because it’s not a usefull stat. (which mean only the red ring and the crystaline band a re kept if they only play PvE and which means only the rabid , zerk, and the PVT are kept if they play WvW).

Myself, I’m flexible I keep the clerics (well you can use them for quite some builds), the zerk (duh), the pvt (well why would I buy those?), the rampager (always like experiments) and the rabids (ever played condi warrior?). a lot of other stats aren’t worth the bytes used for their storage, image and implementation… No they are not!!! (IMHO)

Juy make BUY accept them as payment. It would allow people to exchange ringe for the ones they’d want / could use.

They have been used

I got profane armor on all 3 main armors of my necro with the toxic shoulders and the toxic gloves.
I got 2 secondary armors for my ele , both with flamekissed armor
I got 2 marjory’s daggers on my necro…. bought these a week ago…

No, it wouldn’t. Even both the items you used to transmute an item still exist in the database, so unless you completely erased the armor skin from the database It should still be there. This is a database based game, all you purchases are documented from start. This could also be a way to backtrack your purchases.

And just refunding on all skins bought after the first one on any account is scriptable.
I probably wouldt like to write the script but in my limited mind about DB scriptiung it’s doable for sure.

Based on past behavior with the unlimited tools, you’ll be able to work with Support to return your duplicates.

There may be so many people in your situation (to a lesser degree, that’s a LOT fo duplicates ) that they may even automate the process just to save on the mental wear and tear for their Support folks.

I Sincerely hope so. Even If I’d only get transmutation uses in return I’d be satisfied.

Oh, look. Another “I deserve a refund”-thread. Well guess what; You don’t. There is nothing being taken away from you. In fact, you get unlimited of those purchased skins, which means a-net is giving you something. You were fine with having spent money on 2 duplicates, but now you want a refund because you get more for free?

Well no, nothing is taken away indeed, but my skin cost double or triple the amount it will have cost you.

And yes I can copy it infinitely but my base cost was a multiple of most other persons. And the cost of copying it is the same.

And the cost of copying it would be 6 uses for 1 armor, and I would get 25transmutation crystals if I would have bough transmutation crystals instead. of a 800 gem armor skin

so my loss would be :
19 transmutation crystals for an 800 gem armor
9 transmutation crystalsfor a 500 gem armor,
11 transmutation crystals for a 400 gem armor piece
18 transmutation crystals for a 650 gem weapons skin

In the end it will run up to 100+ transmutation crystals costing 800 gems per 25

Still had I known this I’d only bought only 1 of each.

I’m not complaining about the 7 Salvage-o-matics, my 6 sets of perm-tools or the first skin I bought from each set. I wanted those, else I wouldn’t have bought them but I honestly must say I find this unfair. And I want to be compensated for it.

Maybe you do not care about it, Well I do.

4000+ gems is a lot of RL cash or ingame cash however you see it.

If you go to a store and buy 3 pants for 100 euro each and next day you come back and there is a sign: “well we can copy your pants infinitely from now on for only 5 euro” you’d be discontent as well. You might say well that’s nice I’ll do so the next time, but when you get home you will think: “what could I have done with the 190 euro I spend yesterday buying 3 pants , which I could have bought today for 110.”

Well, nice all these changes… but what about the losses? For me as a player?

My 2 Flamekissed Armors? Both on my Ele? 800gems wasted
My 3 Sets of Profane? All 3 on my necro? 1000 gems wasted
My 2 Grenth Hoods? Both On my necro? well don’t remember the price but 300-500?
My 3 Toxic Mantles? All 3 On my necro? 2 times 400?
My 3 Toxic Gloves? All 3 On my necro? 2 times 400
My 2 Marjory’s Daggers? Both on my necro? 650?
My 2 Medium Aetherblade armors? On my engineer and my ranger? 800 gems wasted

That’s about 4000+ gems just being made useless… What now? Will I get compensated? Do I get a minimum of 4000 gems refunded? Or just 2 or 3 free unlocks of exotic skins? or 125 transmutation uses?

Double dyes from bought sets?… luckily I don’t favor RNG based stuff from the BLTP….
But getting a “unidentified dye” in return I got over 300 dyes unlocked on my ranger alone… and now? The other 8 characters have their own dye sets…

Can’t be bothered to make 2 bifrosts you know , as the skins cost 1 transmutation charge now.

I am happy I didn’t make double legendaries… It would have made me… well very dissapointed….

As does the feeling I’ve been ripped off…

I have damaged everything several times (specially with nice Full DPS runs with 3 (full) condi speccers) , and I did break everything once, doing the lvl 50 story event on my ele which was lvl 49 at the time and had lvl 40 "mostly"green armor at that time…
It felt like my ele was a fly and each risen approaching me had a flyswatter or a huge can of bug-spray….

I failed it in the end, not carrying repair cannisters or anything else. I lvled 1 level to 50 , bought all lvl 50 rares, lvl 50 rare staff & daggers and made myself new jewels as a reaction. Which in the end proved a good waste of cash but was huge for me at the time

Second try I finished with no armor damage… It showed me the importance of decent armor and runes at the time… It was about my 1st month of play I guess and I was so proud to have all rares… Bought the recipes and all… When I think back at it I smile, remembering those newbish experiences

use an emote. /sit and then just moving helps a lot. It’s also a measure with Alpha in CoE if you’re fast enough (crystal bug). It happens a lot, and leaps do help or other movement attack skills… but then you will break stealth…

Maybe it would be fun if a boss could be cc-ed and builds up to 5 (or a bit less or more) stacks and then it frenzies, same as warrior skill, +50% attack speed but also more dmg taken for a certain period. And I agree mobs should try to move out of Aoe, being staff elementalist I know what this means… (flameburst,MS, lava font, blast (*X), Eruption, (Sandstorm), geyser, healing rain, lava font,flameburst, lavafont, lavafont, MS) And I would welcome it. Static fields would have a good use instead of just providing me speedboosts for the party water & earth would also be more usefull… providing slowing or immobilizes when the boss tries to take off…

And lastly the stacking meta would have a great counter….

I am not interested in anything based on “town clothes” while I can use free tonics, to change appearance / play small fights…

I rather see the visual designers spend the time on implementing condition damage, new weapontypes, new armorskins, new proffessions, new exporable areas, new dungeons, new telegraphs, new legendaries, then having them spend time on a new (overexpensive) gem store item…

I do buy stuff from the gem store, but in general those are utility items, transmutation crystals, bank tabs,bag slots, storage things, character slots, permanent harvesting tools (well I got 6 mains now with all bags, perm toold, salvage o matics, most of them transmuted armor/weapons, still have 3 to go), rarely I buy a BLSK,

I have bought BLChestkeys and thats something I will never do it again, like buying town clothes, or comparable items.

Ingame mounts for explorabl;e area’s is something I’m against, it would be a waist of money if it wouldn’t give an advantage, and it would be another pay to win if it did give an advantage. ArenaNet made a mistake releasing the watchwork pick, and alot of ppl hope then will not do so again, also a lot of other ppl expressed very negative feelings against mounts before, generally making the thread degress to a “If you want mounts, go play WoW”-thread… I hope this thread will be more constructive, and will not go that way…

I think I made my vision on this subject clear.

And lastly I do like the fact people come up with idea’s. That has to be said.

I do like the idea of the cloud, but If I cannot earn it I wil not buy it…
