Those are the 2 directly above the infusions.

I’m missing :
(“No Name Known”) (Utility Infusion slot) 126 Toughness/85 Vitality/85 Healing power

But since the names of these amulets are bound to LS S2 part 5, it could be possible they’re appearing as we are posting this with the release of LS S2 part 6 and on….

I’d expect the SINISTER AMULETS as well. It needs to be said I finished all achievements regarding Living story on my Account (so all from LS S2 1till 5)

I can also aquire Caithe’s Blossom at the laurel vendor (Ascended Sinister Accessory) and the Ascended Nomad’s rings and accessories.

Maybe the unlock only happens when you finished the related overall achievements?

Oh and I understand there are skills which do a retreat/ backwards move first then give you swiftness, but you could press Z (turn around) activate the skill, then press Z after the teleport again effectively giving you a port forward and then swiftness….

Z is bound on US and US international Keyboards. German, Spanish or French could have them bound to other keys.

Also just saying: " I’m not in for permanently spamming running skills to get ahead so I need mounts with a speedboost" IS a very lazy playstyle. If you do not want to play using the skills… well… I do not mind, it just takes you a bit longer. But you can, you can play anyway you want! You could go on your broomstick, on your magic carpet, or just dig your way through tyria. So anyway you want, also using a mount.

Absolutley no mounts with speedbuffs (Kites are still a big mistake)
Absolutely NO Pay2Win mounts in the TP (remember the watchwork pick!)

Maybe they are all Mesmers!

Well I used to us runes of traveler on mesmer, now removed them for perplexity (like that’s strange =D ), but now I got full map anyways on my mesmer.
Just using WPs is faster and more time-effective.

I have 1 of each class now with full map anyways; Of the other 7 alts: 5 have almost all wp’s unlocked… the other 2; 1 is a mule, 1 never ever left wvw/eotm, she did the basic story and grew fond of the mists…

Lastly WP-travelling is one of the game’s goldsinks… Most people can miss the 2-4 silver per travel, 1 run of CoF will pay you for 30+ travels….

As killing 2 or 3 enemies will probably bring you loot which can be sold for at least 1 travel… just make sure you kill 2 or 3 things before moving to your next waypoint… A.K.A. Play the game?

I’ll admit mesmer is very conditional, having only 1 skill fot guaranteed swiftness.
but when talking about speed no-one could say you need a swiftness modifier to move around,

I tend to host guild missions for our guild and as I play in a WvW guild it tends to happen we have people with limited accces to maps, and I normally wait 3-5 minutes for runners.They are always there after 2-3 minutes….even in frostgorge or in timberline falls. ALWAYS

Just 1 question? Why nerf gameplay rewards? Rewards are horrible as is….

If you are playing wvw this cap could be the end of zerg vs zerg fights, but it would makee the wvw completely PvDoor destroying gameplay.
And spawns in ANY event of more then 1 critter would be a waste of drops whe AoE-ed with this implemented…

Why? to reduce zerging? People will zerg this as this is a multi user environment and people will tend to group up for content leaving zergs or groups unavoidable. Capping will just make the game less rewarding, if you get a maximum amount of drops during an event people will LEAVE after recieving those drops, content is nice but in itself not rewarding, I cannot buy armor/weapons and gems for experience…. Karma has been locked as well as a source of cash(karma armor/weapons/jewels= unsalvageable).

So we want drops. Drops to pay for stuff, drops to salvage for a chance to get MORE drops. MAximizing drops will be te focus of everything which can be countered by a set amount of drops per day which will make people leave after receiving the set amount. a set amount per event which will make people leave after receiving them or just drops on event finishes, which tends to cause a huge amount of afk-farmers… or taggers…

Walking across a zone in combat with trash mobs that aren’t worth the time of day to fight is not fun or engaging.

anyone arguing against mounts should be agruing FOR more waypoints in Silverwastes.

If you’re against mounts AND want only 1 waypoint per zone.. there’s something wrong with you.

How difficult is it in game to get an actual speed boost?
Only mesmer is dependant on a bit of help from others. but they could manage with runes , food or boosters if needed

When in Silverwaste there is a reason why there is only 1 waypoint atm, it’s to balance the “minigame” which IS silverwaste, if you cold teleport/hyperspeed or be launched to wherever you needed to go this would debalance it…

SO good for A-Net to put 1 WP.

And NO, Still NO, NO to mounts. Except maybe for my proposed walking speed dolyak. (-50% speed)

It’s large enough that if you’re at blue oasis and someone calls out a legendary attacking redrock, you will probably miss the kill whether you try running, or you waypoint back and try running from the opposite direction. I’m pretty sure you’ll miss the legendary at blue oasis if you aren’t at indigo or amber or blue as well.

If you die in a breach event (say you jump down in amber’s hole and the troll aoes your landing spot instantly killing you), nobody resses you, and by the time you run across the zone, the troll is dead.

You would have wasted all that time (and half of the breach) getting no credit.

Why would you want to be everywhere at the same time? As it is a teamwork map why can’t people understand it might actually take some risk and camp somewhere? I understand they give bags….
But i did all Legendary Achievements in Silverwastes while people were farming, this was easier as ppl digging up chests tend not to run to an other side of a map took me 90minutes in total, had soms luck with the spawns though…

I doubt anyone would actually have benefit using an alternate form without speedboost…

If you want a mount just for the speedboost: Not if you get a perma swiftness even if it was 25%,and never if you want more then 33%. Never! I do not mind a thing for esthetics, but not with mods, bonusses or otherwise. The kites were a bad idea (Due to limited availablity (RNG and stuff), mounts (as a speed modifier, I mean, would be horendous.
If it would be in the gem store with 34% or higher speedboost the whole game would revolt against pay2win. I can guarantee it.

If 1 watchwork sprocket could make a community mad, think of a person being able to buy +50% or +100% speed AND while transformed, allowing to bypass all mobs, removing any intelligence to speedclear, while creating Uber-farmers and map clearers.

SO NO! And I gave you the handreach, a tonic/mount wouldn’t be a huge problem, even utility wouldn’t be a problem, speedboost would.

Like I said If I’d think of something it would be a nice dolyak, giving Bank acces for 1 character or 20 maybe 40 slots inventory, with walking speed so I could walk around tyria at leisure. no attacks for the dolly ( I could think of things to unlock if we’d get one)

Yes they were nerfed. I could spam as many as I wanted to (5min duration , 5m CD). Nowadays I need to wait 30 minutes, want your mount on 30 minutes as well? with the fact they take forever to recharge they ARE removed. these things were standard in dungeon runners inventory, now they are USELESS, like mounts.

Offensive and Defnesive amulets were added, But I cannot seem to find the Utility one.

Doubt this is good farming gear anyways, but still for the sake of completeness I’d suggest this be added.

A few remarks.

I ) Guildwars has been equipped with nice waypoints and portals; they removed the need for long distance travel
II ) When you’d get a speed buff be sure this can’t succeed 33%,
Any boost whatsoever will make a mount automatically unsuitable for WvW and PvP,
If the boost would be 1% higher (34%) and if any mount would EVER become available in the trading post we’ll get a nice return to “A-Net said no Pay 2 Win” and you’ll probably get a refund, or a nice nerfed thingy for which you will get a refund if you do not need it anymore.
III ) IMHO it goes against the “feel” of the game. We had mounts in gw1, we could learn to travel in the big wurms in the crystal desert. It was a game mechanic. no payment, only in 3 or 4 map pieces in the crystal desert.
IV ) My opinion is that most people who want a mount should buy a moped or motor IRL, but thats out of context…
V) Why after 20+ threads is it still not known mounts are not for Gw2. The best thing I would ever hope for would be a Dolyak companion, they move walking speed, so -50% speed… I would love one! I could be the next Sandford, but When I would look around there would be 50 of those things in range cluttering everything… SO: OK, maybe not…
VI) Why would a mount be cool? The sandwurms in the crystal desert were cool, but I doubt they’re implementable ingame… I run an i7 with 2 GTX 780s I doubt I’ll have many problems, but If 40-50% of players would be adversably affected, SO NO: no mounts
VII ) Because I want time spend on DUNGEONS, EXPANSION AREAS, WEAPON SETS, RACES, PROFFESSIONS, not another toy…
VIII) Because I’m against any speedbuffs provided by items, the kites were a bad thing… Please NO MORE!
IX) No, Just because I do not want them as a gamemechanic for all areas… 1 exception: air movement… but we have pact ships, helo’s, zephyrite airships, dragons…
X) Why am I still replying to these threads, The posters never seem to read the other dozens of posts?

LFG Fractals Swamp ready…

Well, I do not mind starting a fractal lvl 30 or lower somewhere else, just to keep some experience in those. If a fractal is ready np, if 2 or 3 ppl actually entered I just prefer to go with the normal flow of things getting in and out undtil the owner finds his desired map can be a huge waste of time, especially if RNG gods are mad…

LFG Zerks only….
Well do you mean zerk only? or would you also allow Assassin? or other full dmg stats?

Personally I’d prefer people to run, zerk, assassin, sinister, (rampager), or zealot. these stats with thoughtout builds will improve the quality of runs, BUT I’m not going to check your build and gear, It’s a waste of time. With 5 ppl in soldiers and knights a dugeon can be run as well withotu problems, it takes longer yes it could actually take 2-3 minutes more, but if they are experienced and do what they should it really doesn’t matter too much.

LFG 80
lvl 80, with gear and traits? well generally I prefer it since the trait changes, running ac with a lvl 35 in rares was easy, now it’s easy as well BUT you’ll have no real trait functionality…

Experienced, experienced doesn’t mean stack or no stack, it just means you know the dungeon, how to use stack or non stack, so you can do both.

hoping for better gear is nice, or more experience but i have friends in wvw with 10k AP who -never- did 1 dungeon path…Ever…

LFG 80 Meta EXP Zerk 15000 Gear Check
What tends to matter is: ppl shouting: “Meta EXP Zerk 15000AP Gear Check”
then open and then noticing:
-ppl not meleeing if possible. Zerk rifle/LB warrior? WUHAHAHHAHA
-nobody using food, or forgetting to change food, SE?
-nobody taking banners to next fight….
-not providing swiftness (with the banners maybe?)
-needing to clear inventories, well go waste your own time! not ours!
-pull to early, leaving only part of the party to start the fight or denying ppl waypoints
-do not stack might, who cares about the 875 power/875 condition dmg? see also previous point…
-do not use dropped elementalist weapons, even if they would just use 1 skill then drop’m like they should
-forget to buff themselves after recharge of skills…. fight takes 60 secs, only hear FGJ at start?
-lastly I do not know many players with dedicated weapons for combat, the ones with sigil of the night and x-slaying or force and x-slaying… as most people do not bother with them. (I do not bother with them myself I just run bloodlust and strength or bloodlust and force) but it will add to dps.

Showing they are n(O)(O)bish wannabees, even though they want a perfect party.

I do not ask for this I’ll see what I get. I’ll keep mine at lvl 80 exp, Just because ppl will be eared in exotics and traited. I do not know if people are joining are honest and I do not care. It sometimes proves to be a challenge, and in the long run it tends to be more fun the running COF 1 for the 1000th time with people who not even take the effort to pop a potion of flamelegion slaying and do not care compared to people who say they care and do not put any effort towards running a decent run except for making a nice line in LFG.

And yes I know, I called myself a noob in this one as well, as I do not abide by the list of speedrunning musts, even though I have the knowledge… with 15000 AP and 15 characters with a myriad of builds I tend to say,

YOU ARE ONLY A DUNGEON EXPERT IF YOU CAN FINISH WITH ALL BUILDS ON ALL LEVELS WITH A MIX OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE VARYING LEVELS OF EXPERIENCE, KNOWING AND EXPLAINING THE DUNGEON AND MAKE A PLAN OF APPROACH WHICH KEEPS THE PARTY MOVING ON WITHOUT TOO MUCH PROBLEMS, MAKING SURE YOU AND OTHERS HAVE GOOD FUN (IT’S A GAME!!)

(just 1 remark, 5 sentinels, 5 nomads, 5 magi, or 5 clerics will finish a dungeon as well but I really hope to never have to go through it again (did 1 run with 5 cleric gurdians in the firt 3 months after release and it’s facerolling everything but SLOW……..))

And yes I know why people run zerk, and I also why people do not run dps builds not based on zerk, and I hope the zerks know that even in zek parties a lot can be done with 1 zealot and 1 rampager or sinister instead of all zerks. zealot ele can refresh the whole party in 5 seconds after you missed a dodge at kohler, and rampager or sinister necro’s,engineers, warriors, rangers could add a lot of condition “utility”

Condition users:
- -33% health gain on heal (poison)
- dmg on skilluse (confusion)
- just kite ’m to death (torment)
- or plain dmg (fire/bleeds)

For all:
- blinds (miss)
- 50% fumbles & no crits (weakness)
- less attacks, easier kite (freeze)
- vulnerability (more dps)
- stuns/dazes (no enemy dps)

Of course the combo’s are the wow factor.
Might, swiftness, chaos armor, fire armor, stealth, weakness, confusion, and many other things can be created by synergizing your skill use.

well Ihad the same problem,

At first I just bought the bag epansion slots and maximized bags (18 slots as I could afford those)

I had 2-3 armors and corresponding weapons and food on charcters I played multi role.

Then I noticed I was dedicating over 50 slots on most characters for armor and weapons, and some food

SO I bought alt slots and just made alts for specific purposes, no longer needing to swap just running the builds I prefer.

Now I have 15 characters, several dedicated to wvw, several pve/dungeons and only a few which shine in both area’s, now I have 1 armor on each character and I just make another if I want to try out things.

I’m now working on a few sinister armors to try out on rabid wvw charaters to see if they become pve viable. (which does go against the second step, but I need to see and experiment, I have 14 characters I play, 3 of which are wvw only rabid roaming builds)

But on the other 12 I still find I have 1 main set and 1 backup set, unless the main set is ascended, which shows me I made a decision on the character. Still each build with weapons food and trinkets tends to take a 18 or 20 slot bag…

Hmm yeah, Might… hope I’m right:

Warriors with Might on GS trait, FGJ and Signet of Rage can get 25 stacks without runes,
Firefield on Longbow, blast finisher on Longbow

Ele’s can spawn firefields and blast them several times. 15-21 stacks should be easy
Firefields are found mostly on fire attunement,
scepter/dagger provides a big number of blasts, arcane blast and arcane brilliance can be added.,
also trait: pyromancer’s puisance, 1 might for each fire spell.

Guardian with staff can precast 12 stacks using empower,
they also have a trait which allows for might on crit, and to share might as well.
acces to firefield

Engineer ???? I do not know as I use my engineer as a Mule, as i didn’t find it an interesting class. acces to firefield

Necro can stack might: Blood is Power (10 stacks), signet mastery 3 on each signet
Might on Death Shroud skill 1
NO acces to firefields

Ranger can
Aoe 1 stack of might with warhorn,
stack might with the axe
receive it from pets during Rampage as One,
traits give:
3stacks on signets,
each crit you make could give might to pet.
Does have acces to firefields

Thieves
can trait 1 stack of might on dodge ,
5 might on signet activation,
might when stealing ,
might going into stealth,
might when applying venom
No access to firefields

Mesmers… well most come from traits OR staff skill 1 but you’ll not get 25 stacks… no firefields If I’m right

Of course you have food that gives
- one might on dodge,
- 3 might on heal
- might on kill

Sigils:
Sigil of strength, on crit 10 s, CD 1s, amount depends on speed of attacks and crit chance, 5+ is easy
sigil of battle, on swap 3 might 20 s?, changing attuments also works, same for kits

Runes:
Altruism, healing, gives might and fury on heal use
Aristocrat, condi dmg and might duration, gives 3 might on heal 10s CD
Antitoxin, when you get poisoned or tormented => 5 might,10 s 20sec CD
Brawler, power / toughness, 3 might on heal 10s CD
Fire, power and might duration, gives a might on hit (5s CD)
Hoelbrak, power and might duration, gives a might on hit (5s long CD)
Pack, power and swiftness duration, gives a might, fury and swiftness on hit (20s CD)
Privateer, power and might duration, gives 3 might on hit (5s long CD)
Strength, power and might duration, gives a might on hit (5s CD) increased dmg when under influence of might

I couldn’t remember more, maybe you should check the wiki under might..

IMHO
- With gear and food, warrior, guardian, necro, ele, should be able to get 25 stacks
- Without gear and food Warior, guardian and ele should be able to do so
- Engineer i do not know
- Hybrids (builds relying on BOTH condition dmg and power) are the ones benefitting the most from might: gaining a max of 875 power/875 condition dmg if they can hold the stacks. Transforming them from generally “subpar” builds to builds which combine a lightly buffed power with a lightly buffed conditions character.

IMHO 3000 power and 2000 condition dmg hybrids are achievable on necro’s and warriors, with banners and food a bit more maybe… problem is most weapons dealing conditions scale bad with power…

All values are about lvl 80 food/armor/runes and dedicated builds using specific traits.
My memory isn’t perfect, check everything on wiki’s before you make to many assumptions.

well i’ve got 15 lvl 80’s they all have their own builds and own gear… no more swapping no more 2*18 or 20 slots of gear, just 1 or none alternative sets and the neccesaary weapons and food, for wvw characters also some siege

I have a variety of builds and can freely experiment. I have 7 mains and play 13 characters regularly, 7 times world completion …. Luckily I had 11 characters before the trait change, leaving me 4 with only partially unlocked traits.

The meta award is laugable. but all awards have devaluated so far Arenanet is no longer aware they are saying well spend 40 minutes of your time here to do something you can earn a huge reward: a fraction of the rewards somewhere else… Cof 1 pays 1 gold and 2-3 bags for 10 minutes, this event takes 20-40 minutes to complete… for a bit of gold and a few bags…

I sincerely hope if a big boss is added we will not get a well once every 4 hours note… It would be like the creators took a predator and shot their own foot…
Pain everywhere, and a crippled result…

I hope something spectacular will be added as it’s well… not interesting atm, for skins yes, for some scattered lootbags well yeah…. but i got this load… now we need to wait a bit…
de some farming somwhere else, and we wait till the next NERF brought to you by A-Net!

Well…..

When I started about 2yrs ago I was happy, I earned enough through chests.

You could run a dungeon 50 times a day if you were mad enough, bags paid 20-50 silver each, 2-3 of blue/green or yellow quality, nowadays you get a “fixed amount of rares” and some silver (generally not so much) and a bunch of crap blues and greens…. this view is caused mostly as people used rares at start and ascendeds now… making the blues now comparable to junk then and greens now to white items. then….

Even all dmg has been nerfed 5% in general, making ascendeds exotics with an infusion slot and exotics comparable with rares…., rares greens, greens blues… and so on, white was junk already so I’ll not bother.

The increased prizes show a devaluation of gold to such an extent it’s rediculous!
Before Pre’s cost 5-45 gold, armors cost 5-10 gold (rares and exotics), weapons cost 1-3 gold
Now Pre’s cost 100s of gold, Armors cost 50-1000 gold )exotics and ascended, weapons cost 40-80 gold

Prices: have risen a factor 20-100+… if that would happen in real-life people would revolt,
Here we just say, well just go TP flipping, milk all objects so noone can buy them anymore… or you surely need to grind… A-Net promised us no grinding, so I want Fatter Bags!

Bosses have been nerfed, lower quality champ bags everywhere.

Dungeons have been nerfed, bag money drops were nerfeded, money drops from chests removed, maximum number of runs a day introduced,

All farms have been adressed, some multiple times. I agree queensdale champ train gave a lot of grief. Now I run through and if a former champ spawns I solo them with my level 80 in seconds. 1 hit for lvl 1-15 normal spawns 6 or 7 for a vet… I killed these champs with my ranger with rapid fire and barrage before others could run in… Only 7 more lvl80’s need to get world completion now… but no drops, not for me nor for the unfortunate spectators

No more world events, al least not in the same frequency as before. They have been NERFED!

Many events have the mobs no longer dropping loot, it’s been nerfed.
Some don’t even give XP (living story, if they would give XP you could rally on enemies and get stacks, which has been NERFED!)

I could get decent income before, but It’s been removed , reduced, changes, timegated and so on.

The nerf itself was only needed because some people are ranting. like I said before in anothe thread:

Just as people can make maps to farm, players can make instances for achievements!

if people are looking for group vs group fights , we have wvw now for server vs server, in cantha (Guild Wars: Factions) in gw1 you could fight anyone not representing the same house (Luxon/Kurzick) in a pvp setting in pvE… no such thing were in the other 2 main releases or the expansion in gw1, if I’m right

And through lore well it was about the history as written above somewhere.

This is what I hate about MMO’s, it’s always divided into 2 groups.

Group 1: It’s all about farming. People that want to play the game for the content are just getting into the way.
Group 2: The game was made to play for its content. People that just want to farm are just getting into the way.

Why can’t we just get along? That’s what I loved about GW1 and GW2 that I hated about WoW. WoW is just about farming for high lvl junk. In GW1 and GW2 I can farm for high lvl junk or just play the game. I just farmed the crap out of GW2 to get an ascended bow, why? I got bored with my personal storyline and got tired of map completion so I took a break and made the bow. Now I’m good to get back to the game content.

Just do both? I finished all the achievemnts now including the shoulders, and I farmed a bit. Being 40 and having 2 children doesn’t allow me to 24/7 a game (=no-life, no-sleep) but I got 5 days 2-3 hrs of farming in, worth 100 champ boxes/hour.

I can craft the vision crystals now I wanted for 2 sets of armor, and have a decent amount to spare… It got me plenty of mats, but I need them. so I didn’t get rich, I did however got a full stack of obsidian shards as well… = equivalent of 525.000 karma… if I remember well

I’ve been there and done that 7 times over, I got 15 lvl 80’s, all with finished stories, I’ve done all dungeons, am dungeon master (no not dungeoneer, I hate CM) I finished all Living story parts & achievements on multiple characters.

I play wvw and do play anything what I want, I’m guild leader and officer in 2 other guilds. not counting my bank guild of course.

The fact that there is no way to get “easy money” is a bottleneck on playing, I’m in it just for the skins now, I need most of the truly exotic exotic skins…. Dwayna’s bows, Infinite light, and there are some legendaries I’m still interested in. Also I need some ascended armors. I got the weapons & trinkets on most of the 15… (12 with ascended weapons/trinkets)

I no longer care for 11 gold a day grinding the daily dungeon set… I have done my share of dungeons, I did AC p1-3 about a 500-600 times now, CoE 300+, TA 250+ SE 1,3 well to often as well, CoF 1 even more.

I liked the nerfed farms because I had some time just mindlessly spamming, actually being able to get some mats / gold / -fill in the blank- It’s like doing AC, Cof or Se, just with more ppl, because tbh I do not play AC or any dungeons for records, just for completion. Most zerk parties are filled in with people who can ragequit like pro’s but most of the time cannot hold DPS for the required time OR are just trolls… In a farm event people tend to be nice, they res adequately, do not flame, help eachother. I know there have been a lot of farms before which have crated a negative feeling (queensdale train, frostgorge train,) and soe still do (Orr in general) due to people not accepting others are playing as well. With farmers creating their own instances atm (like Tequatl and triple trouble just to mention it) people tend to feeel they cannot complete te game. But why can’t people just wanting the achievemnt not just take a map and say: Achievement map, and create what they want, instead of shouting for a nerf each time something is worth our (read farmers) time.

I run most dungeons with plain pug parties as it’s more relaxed, so no lvl 80 Zerk for me but just EXP. It goes well and I get people who can actually play the game. I do run zerk on a lot of characters. I know the stacks, the LOS’s and so on… But it’s even more boring then a farm event (chain)

I’m 40 yrs old, I can buy gems without problems, but I want to earn as much as possible ingame, I also know I’ll get what I want now eventually in the future. Still sometimes a good farm helps, really waiting for a hard mode with 10 times as much drops or something like it.

Lastly for devaluation of gold, I bought the precursor to the meterorologicus at 45 gold… Now almost 20 monts later it sls for at least 10 times the amount. Flippers are the ones causing this and they make this game need farms. No flippers= no need for farm; Prices will rise significantly slower, and flippers are way to rich anyways, talking about not playing the game as it was intended. I know a few, some with 10000’s of gold on account. They earn it because we cannot farm stuff and can ruin their flipping on farmable items…

No the game has to be exclusive. Or does it just have to be fun?

This farm caused the price of the sigil of bloodlust to drop 10 gold from 15 to 5.5, now 10 hours after the nerf all sigils cheper then 9 gold have been bought by flippers…. Think of it, before you say farms are bad.

IMHO there are things to say for zerk parties and a lot of things against:

I have a lot of characters wearing zerk armor/weapons/trinkets…

But I do NOT neccesarily play the meta builds.

My zerk warrior runs a pug carrying build (4/4/0/6/0) might for the whole party, especially when stacking…
My zerk guardian runs a dps (4/5/0/4/1)build, even though I like it, most people frown at the build considering it selfish. No staff
My zerk ranger is just what all people seem to hate, a glass ranger, but it does it’s job very well.
My zerk elementalist uses a plain 6/2/2/2/2 build it’s full dps staff
My ZEALOT elementalist uses a 0/4/0/6/4 support build It tends to keep parties up no matter what.
My ZEALOT guardian uses a pug carrying build (2/5/0/6/1) with some might stacking in need I can reduce dps by a lot to provide some regen for the party, No staff.
My Zealot hammer warrior uses an old shout heal build with condi removal. I sometimes use it to run Cof p2 even though the dmg may be a little lower It does do enough dmg to be usefull and the CC’s really seem to help against igniters especially in a bit lower dps party (ZERK parties tend to draw in people who need to learn, they heard well you need to buy zerk at the start of their game, only they are not competent. Dealing with this is a show of expertise, not an everlasting slugfest.
My hybrid warrior and hybrid necro are both builds I somethiomes bring into dungeons when all people tend to yell ZERK!
If all party members are zerk I tend to do quite some dmg with conditions and still retaining some basic attack strength… In the end most party members do not notice the fat it’s a non standard build. Though sometimes the fact there are “Zerk-elitists” means the party crumbles.

Lastly I am someone who has 1 or more characters from each proffesion running 15 lvl 80’s now with a extreme variety of builds. I crafted my first Ascended Heavy Armor with Rabid stats. and I still love playing my hybrid. I am completely familiar with the stacking and non stacking meta’s and to be honest expertise is when to know when you can or cannot stack.

Loved strange parties before, 5 glass rangers, 4 power and 1 condi necro, 5 ele’s instead of meta. you learn how to play instead of expecting all things to be done for you, leaving you able to improvise in paths if neccesary.

And no I haven’t played dungeons with 5 nomad mace/shield & staff guardians and I wouldn’t eventry if I had 6 hours to play a dungeon, even though I have a nomad/clerics shield and staff guardian…

Haling power useless

Only change should be that when people are running some healingpower, skillls and treats actually using it should benefit from it, in a rewarding manner.

Nice to have a healing power of 1800 (or even 2000, which is not to difficult to aquire on several if not all classes) but if you skill scales with 5 or 10% it leaves your investment useless….

Regarding waterfields, in group situations it’s difficult to use them effectively as they tend top be overwritten with other fields very fast…. You get dmg several times a second, healing can be 1 time in 12-40 seconds depending on your healing skill… removing waters would leave a lot of ppl without additional healing.

What would they raise the cap for? To give people something to do for 2-3 hours (or 2-3 seconds if they have tomes) per character?

It’s not the player level which is important to focus on, Tomes will allow all players to be insta-ed to a higher level, but all your gear will be useless… or at least a serious amount lower in dps.

No It most probably and hopefully will not.

It would frustrate a very large part of the player base. Horizontal progression would mean enemies will get higher levels but we will be at 80 as it should be. it would promote team play to do so. I can see a reason to create higher level enemies though… Make a hard mode with all enemies 2-5 levels higher then they are now…

If the level cap would change I would quit; It would destory all need for my present gear, all the effort regarding grinds for ascendeds and would leave my 15 characters underpowered. I used to have 1 main and sveral alts, At the moment I have 7 characters with full map and full stories, leaving me 8 other alts.

I already was annoyed by ascended gear, which was unneccessary, caused the balance to change and make the game more unbalanced. After the change DPS was eventually reduced by 5 % – 7% to compensate, but also on all other armor (read from junk to exotics…) making exotics equivalent to the old rares. It was easy to run most dungeons in rara and masterwork armor before, atm doing dungeons with rare and exotics tend to leave a underpowered character. who needs assistance often from exotic and higher clad ppl

That’s also why the levelling experience had to be “simplified” I’m noticing the one hit-kills with a fully geared character are now from lvl 1 to lvl 40 (= noticable with a fully equipped exotic melee charater (w. food) doing map completion which used to be lvls 1-5 or 1-10maybbe 1-15 at max. which changes the easy kills from the starting area to all map parts above LA (frostgorge 70-80/ fireheart rise 60-70 and ron marches 50-60 excluded ) Which was a direct result from the last 2 big patches, which were mostly needed because charatcers had to much DPS due to an unplanned introduction of armor….

Earth was without cooldown on launch, it was the base of all condition builds, and was also the reason bleeding was completely useless as a condition.

Due to the sigil being nerfed the sigil is now -useless- for solo conditions (place was taken by torment and the sigil of bursting) leaving a big hole in most condition builds.

The condition stacking system still leaves the same problems, the change didn’t alleviate any problems regarding stacking in pvE, did create the problem of solo condi builds being considerably less usefull then before the patch… though most people wouldn’t want to be caught dead with conditions in pve mostly as it deals no dmg whatsoever, less even since the bleed nerfs were put in effect…

Well I play mostly PvE and WvW I would like to see more tomes… Scrolls are good.

Maybe shift some to other game modes?

All classes have pro’s and cons.
All classes can be supportive or damage
Most classes can do good conditions
All are interesting to play
All take their time to master.

But some are a bit easier to level:
IMHO
warrior, guardian, ranger and necro level easy
Mesmer, thief and ele level a bit more difficult.

And I hate playing Engi so I do not have a remark on it, but that’s personal

I have the first 3 parts and I stil have the candy corn matter meter, but I do not get the 4 5 or 6.

I got the basic book, I earned it the firsat time, but I was in hospital for the second period. leaving me no choice but to wait and see, which I found out a year ago was a mistake.
I still hope to find/make/aquire the 2nd part

In effect I need to remake the first book as it is soulbound to an other character then my candycorn matter meter is bound to..

And I will need to revisit the 6 other points for part 2 of course… they seem out of order as well…

I like the fact they were created, I will not bother to farm them, this game wasn’t about farming the dev team said with pride 2 yrs ago…. Now with smaller and smaller chances o rng we are expected to grin ascended armors, precursors, aand nice RNG drops with no real chance of obtaining them, as much as i like some: 500-700 gold is too much, I could buy the better part of an ascended set for it, and for a potion effect?

I’m a crafter though and have all professions maxed out at least once. I’m still waiting for rings with switchable stats (legendary rings?) , these colors would/could be a nice addition…

I thank you for your “willingness” to change the Conversion Page. I doubt the staff and or dev team had expected this amount of resistance, but I want to say this:

Can you blame your players for acting against change after change to “The Quality Of Life (QoL)” While most players QoL is mainly based on gaming (read PLAYING) experience? We have gotten a lot from the dev team,… And I love the game,…. But I’m interested only in new area’s, new bosses, new dungeons, new ARMORS, new Guild missions, new proffesions, new races, new, New, NEW, NEW!!!

I did the beta’s, I loved it, I played the 1st season, I have 4 characters with yr2 birthdays now, 6 or 7?with 100% map, 15 lvl 80’s, I’ve been there an done that so often I can pour a glass of drink and kill the spiderqueen in ac without watching…. I’m guild leader in 2 guilds, officer in another and I can say for sure that with my guilds, counting almost 1000 different players in total, mostly want more of tyria, maybe elona, or cantha to explore. QoL is important, but 3.5 million players been here and most done that by now…

I have 15k AP and I start to notice I am in runs where I have 5 times as much AP then the whole rest of my party COMBINED now when doing AC, going from player to mentor. I can choose zerk meta or noob slugfest. Yes, that seems to be my freedom with slight QoL updates and outfits.. Not expansions and Armors and Weapons…. Why Not? Is the dev team “not” working on an update. We will get the Maguuma Jungle. I expect a dungeon probably something like “Vekk’s Lair”, The return of the white mantle and their inquisitors, A lot of “mutated” sylvari, tribal “people” and Mordem. Bloodstones, Druid Ents… And A small extremely powerfull undead dragon lich (LVL 82 OR 83? MAYBE HIGHER?) guarding a chest called Rot(t)Wing. A race of bird people and an city.

These are things I expect from a patch inline with a Maguuma update.
This is LORE or in touch with it. This WOULD BE QUALITY OF LIFE. This would boost interest and buff sales, It would restore faith. And It would be good for you as a team to see happy posts again. It would be good for players, me included as it would bring back the veterans and respark the life in a withering and crumbling construction which started out as a glorious game, but which has been gutted by change and destruction, to provide change for 3.5 Million players who understood everything, and who seem to have gone numb by now. Numbed down and dumbed down…

But I like the fact you’re changing the conversion page. That’s a start.

Why are you thanking them for breaking something that should never have been broken in the first place! The Gem to gold thing was fine to begin with!

It is like you are thanking them for kicking you in the crotch with the excuse there was a piece of fuzz on your pants.

I had hoped my sarcasm was blatant enough to notice… Guess this post is still way to subtle…. I hope it will cause certain people to think, and maybe it can be shown to superiors, advisors or CEO’s of funding companies.

Of course there will be Mordemoth, but to forget rotwing would be a mistake. They are both part of the Lore and Rotwing was admired and hated, and everybody knew him in gw1.

Why can’t new people learn the system 3.5 million users used…

Why are new players always dumb people in A-Net’s eyes,

Why do people who played this from the start always get ‘helped’ by your new inventions? Well my cat got ‘helped’ as well and he can’t do what he liked anymore as well…

Why do you think everthing which is usefull becomes a disaster atm?

I will give you a direct and simple answer.

I would have liked the developers time to have been in the develoment of the user interface of the add-ons for the ‘not-existing’ map extension(s), guild halls, expansion, LS, dungeons, raids, introduction of new races characters, new wvw maps/ interfaces…. but not a conversion page that doesn’t help the players, but only A-Net, because that’s what it feels like at this moment. And I really doubt other players feel different….

Edit: I want 4 things added:
1: I want the precise conversion rate added
2: I want to be able to choose the exact amount both in gems and gold.
3: I want the graph back
4: I want A-Net to treat me like an adult, being 40 yrs old I guess I’m entitled to it

and for all I care you keep the new screen for the ‘not so smart’, but I -HATE- it.

I bought 2 precursors, the storm for the meteorologicus and the leaf of Kudzu, Just 3 weeks later I got the Energizer… from a veteran dredge….

My first pre I bought with the cash from early AC runs, costing me 48 gold, the leaf of kudzu I traded with a friend for 300 gold… the energizer ‘paid’ me 350 gold….

I still want to make Bolt one day…
Those 3 (and maybe the howler and the spear) are the ones I like.

I am happy I couldn’t care for the GS’s (mostly because I (yes, me) find them ugly…)
I just see them everywhere. I use the Krysoar sword skin on my warrior, and for every player I see with the one I carry, I see 25-40 legendary GS’s. At least….

wait for the LS to come back, even if it’s not your cup of tea, it will bring new shinies
do grind dungeons, for your legendary, ascended gear, trinkets whatever.
go and do some wvw, you will need a new set of gear
enjoy your world bosses, and run the train in cursed shore just because you can.

Or do just like me and get 15 lvl 80’s and gear them, and make them nice to look at.
use half in wvw and half in pve you can actually have fun redoing stories (even though Trahearne will get to be the greenest piece of snot of all NPC’s after a while.
(no offense intended except @ Trahearne)

Oh and do not forget to hope for some extra area’s, with the upcoming release…

I am still hoping A-Net will release a major expansion based on the LS…
Not an area in 4 updates but 4-5 area’s, a race, dungeon an a proffession in one go.

Just to show they can pull it off…. and be different then other MMO manufacturers, at least with regard to Guild Wars 2…

Generally this game was buils so an event would trigger another, in the living world, These chains were vey important as they would trigger Temples and such. This has been largely destroyed by the megaserver system. If you did your templeu used to b able to change servers (max 2 times /day) and redo it, on all your characters if you wanted to. Nowadays with the megaserver, you just map out and map into another to see if events are done. This allows for far more farming.

The chains of the living world in Orr serve no other purpose then just doing events,at present. The events if lost spawn a new event a couple of seconds later which aloows for more farming. Correct use of winning or losing can be a big difference in loot. poeple can farm hundreds of Heavy moldy bags and numerours champion boxes just by finding a couple of spots and just walking back and forth a short distance. Maybe a fail on these misions should just RESET the whole chain. making the run from fort trinity to the gates of Arah viable again, taking into account ALL temples. Making a fail a waste of effort. keeping Arah locked and al statues active once more… Maybe a buff should be aplied to spawns in the not liberated area’s of Orr ( say 50% to critters in arah and 25% o crittersin malcjhors leap dropping 25% when straits of devastaion has been completed and another 25 when malchors leap has been completed, and maybe a magic find buff after all events ahev been done for 1 hour after whitch the events/ bosses and statues respawn.

This will make sure people keep the events on track, and make farming the route more interesting. But in the end it will not stop players from being mean, and IMHO all ingame hate due to farming should be monitored. But it has been here since the corpse farming in the first few months of the game… (It was my first event I was flamed for as I saw the corpses should be burned, but wasn’t aware of people farming the grubs… I was shocked about the whisper’s i received at that time. I did farm there but found being galant and inviting people into group served my interest at the time more then just doing to them what I went through that time. People actually returned, The grub farm has long been nerfed, and I make money by doing dungeons rather then running around like a headless chicken now. )

If you read it carfefully the problem is not the champion bags, but the fact the farmers have been mean to others not doing the champ train, in other words for killing “their” champs.

The reactions of trying to get bags banned is just a reaction to this. The issue isn’t the champion bags, but people not willing to share an MMO with others…. And being mean and rude to other players.

The fact you do not see this and didn’t read the OP’s thread seems to show you are only here for the bags as well… Just think about it.

I ignore the trains. I kill my enemies If I want to kill them and I’m not going to sit around and wait for people. I tend not to try to leech in event being train-ed as well, as I mostly run solo and I will not get enough dmg up.

And yes I can solo champions. And not all of them but most are ok. I sometimes do the events in cursed shore becasue i need the dragonite, but due to the trains temples are nearly always done.

The fact people are willing to do the events is nice. The fact people do not respect eachother in a game, shows some people have no life, and no courtesy.

For 3 silver (mostly lost in travels) and a chance of a rare or exotic people are willing to destroy the fun of others. They will drain the world of players, and therefore remove all people who can gloat at things they have bought witch their farm. So in the end it rewally doesn’t matter to farm if you are not nice to people because you might farm yourself your legendary, but if there’s noone to see it, well than it was just a waist of time.

I just go on solo, I like to play the game. I do not care if you see what I earned. I do not skin my characters to perfection. I saw all in over 2 yrs now. and I saw the start, the bad drops, the nerfs to bad drops, the nerfs to champions, the nerf of dungeons, the boost for dungeons, all continues nerfs for dungeons,the nerfs to trains, the nerfs for characters, and now the small boost for characters a few weeks ago….

The thing I actually find most funny is that people are actually proud of farming 15,50 or 100 bags. When playing with 20+ people…. It seems as pointless as killing a single roamer in wvw with the zerg…

I know there are actual farming guilds that have no other ideas then running around area’s just farming all champs… I run dungeons if I want to and the dungeons paid for most of the armors gear and trinkets of 14 characters, as well as secondary armors, ascended weapons, and 2 legendaries…

But in the end it’s never about farming or champion bags. Farming is a way of playing , I will respect farmers, as long as they respect me doing my own things in Tyria. And ythat could mean I kill a champ solo while they’re running a train.
I’ve been scolded and threatened before, and I just say I couldn’t care. But I’ve seen a lot now. I know I have seen commanders post to the farm zerg they should report other players for killing -their- champion….

If there is no respect, I wil report people. That’s why there is a /report. It’s not to promote farming. And I only report people actually making threats and posting abuse.

And if you get bothered while running in tyrioa you should do so as well.

Strangely enough

All Gilded jewels =>lvl 35
GILDED SPINEL JEWEL IS LVL 39 though?

ALL embelished gilded jewels => lvl 35
EMBELISHED GILDED SPINEL JEWEL = 39 AGAIN?

Why can I run gilded jewels on all my lvl 35 trinkets
but not ones with rejuvenation stats? (=HEALING/Power)??

Also lvl 39 jewels are not useable until lvl 40 (there are no lvl 39 trinkets (at least not craftable)) PLS make these 2 jewels lvl 35 as well please, and make the system normal again
