none can win 1 vs 3 …. if 3 are not really really really noob ….
i think having mobile turrets will be too much and in any case turret are quite fast to deply so if you move you can deploy that again . For mace i think that traited wrench is really ok for melee and our profession is not a melee one
I agree , i play eng and now , when i have not to bunker a point i feel that celestial strenght rifle build is more effective than condi spam. I use condi spam only in some kind of fight , for example when it is full of guardians

build depends on the role you have to play. I think turret builds can be a good choisce for being a tank over a point … not the best for midfight
ah and you don’t have a stun breaker and for me it would be a problem. Usually i take 2 turrets and EG (sometime elixir S )
probably i play in a different way with turret . Usually for me i take fortified turret and i land one turret when i am under heavy range attack . This is the reason while i take rifle turret always (it has the lowest cd) . Obviously my way can be wrong
I played quite a lot with pistol/shield and turret but now i begun tho think that rifle is better for the fact that i can throw away melee opponent from me and from turrets
I have 2 question about turrets builds . First is which turrets are better to use. Usually i choose rocket turret and rifle turret for the lower cd but i don’t know if it is optimal ( healing turret as heal skill as always) . The second question is about what amulet do you chose . I imagine a turret build is created to defend a point so i tryed with rabid but i saw that settler and knight are viable too. Which amulet do you suggest ?
In my opinion the real problem of templates is only for pvp. In wvw you have “time” to change your build and in pve usually u can finish all the contents with quite every build. For pvp instead when you log in solo queue, for exampe, you have 1 minute and 40 second or less to change your build choosing the one better for the team you have. So you can have to change from bunker to dps and so on. For this now many players use different characters and switch char …
this build is great. In my opinion you can try to switch shield for pistol as someone already told you and to take toolkit for EG. When they melee you it can be quite usefull . Another idea could be to take bomb instead of EG becouse it helps you a lot stomping and big bomb is quite handy to throw people away from you and from turrets
I prefer active condi remove that passive one … usually passive has a timeout of 10 sec or more and .. when i am full of condi it is not sufficient … the best anti condi for me is Ether renewal of elementalist but it is a personal choice
I don’t agree on the fact that eng has been wiped out from wvw. I think eng has many viable build for both pvp and wvw but with actual rewards system many eng like me prefer PVP to wvw . Sometime i go in edge and i find engeneer really viable with the right build but in any case i prefer (from begin of GW2) pvp to WvW. I belive it is only a matter of players’ preference on pvp. i hate zerg fighing …

bomb and grenades are really different. I had always used bomb but bomb are static and are much slower to land . in my opinion bombs are great for node figthing but with bomb a shield is near to be a must for the combo you can do. Instead with P/P grenades snyergies really well and toolkit is a must, you have no block and no defence skill in your build . Obviously i am thinking at PVP … not at PVE …
In my opinion toolkit and grenades are a must for P/P in PVP becouse you have much more defend with tookkit e and grenades 3 ,4

which builds do you think will be new meta for engeneer ?
i played classic shields build for long time ( 6,2,0,4,2 o 6,0,06,2) with bombs toolkit and usually EG or rocket shoes but it seems to me that with shield i miss dps and shield has a very huge CD…i tried also bombs and grenades without toolkit but …. i love toolkit too much …
which is better to use now with standard 6,2,0,4,2 build ? rabid or celestial ? i tried celestial but it seems to me that rabit works better …
I am not so sure of that. Often i miss shield 4 knockback … ok you have 2 block on shield but with a huge cd . I think that the spam of pistol 5 when they are on you is a really strong defensive skill ( for evasion) and it has a lower CD . I know that Shield is more defensive but i feel more viable defending with P/P.

i use a build with P/P and grenades. I usually , when they melee me spam p 5,4 grenades tool bet , then grenade 3 for blind , 4 for chill 5 and escape and i find that this sequence works really well. I find that P/P synergy much more with nades rather then bomb … even if i love bomb … which build do you use ?
why people say pistol pistol is bad in pvp ? with balthazar runes i find it really good now . I play them with 6,2,0,4,2 , rocket boot , bombs and toolkit. The only think i have to say is that roocket boots are really important with pistol pistol becouse i use blast finisher for health (F1 of healing turret and rocket boot ) . In many fight i feel myself stronger than with shield ..
In my opinion problem is not profession but players ….i found terrible engeneer in pvp, pve .. wvw and so on .. and even exceptional ones . I hava a friend who is a strong necro and i can ensure you that having him in Arah is always a pleasure even if necro perhaps is not the best profession for dungeons … don’t listen to them and try to learn mechanics of game. Pve is quite repetitive .. .any boss follows quite always the same pattern so in my opinion it is viable with any profession if you know the pattern
probably i don’t understand something. I play the usual 0.,2,0,6,6 or 0,0,2,6,6 build with celestial ( sometime berserker with second traits) , runes of strenght etc etc … it seems to me that Ether Renewal is far better than Signet of restoration becouse it cleans a lot of condi. Looking around it seems to me that all people use Signet of restoration … so my question .. why is signet of restoration better than ether renewal ( which has even a lower cd ) ?
For SPVP/ TPVP in my opinion Arcana VI is unusefull ,Arcana II is much better … for wvw it can be different
but for condi damage is not better pistol shield ?
using staff + scepter/shield means that you don’t have a melee weapon … correct ? having staff and scepter for me is strange… i usually tend to have a melee weapon and a range one ..
i tried both build . 0.5.6.6.5 has more armor but it seems to me that in this meta in which there are many condition spammer the build 0.0.2.6,6 works better … what do you feel ?
Guardian is not my main in pvp but sometimes i have to play it (when there is no bunker in my team ) and i play the same build i used pre patch : 0,0,2,6,6 with shouts, staff and mace/shield . I use cleric or soldier amulet (usually soldier) and doylak runes. I’d like to know if after last patch this build is outdated and if builds for bunker guardian role has changed .

I have a problem with EA … playing with only 4 in Arcana for me is unusefull (i have only 2 points to spend in other ways) … so or i take 6 in arcana or i take 0 or 2 and i put points elsewhere. If i don’t take EA i usually take 4 in water … and 2 in arcana for vigor so in every case i have 6 points gone. having no EA i usually put 2 or 4 points in earth and so i have only 4 or 6 points to spend in air/fire. If i play a berserker build i think it is viable to have no EA but if i play a celestial build i feel that the damage increase is not so great to justify the lack of EA . Sorry for my english, it is not my first language .
In my opinion for hard fight and against a stronger team playing without 30 point in arcana with D/D is harder … but it is a personal feeling not a truth
what do you suggest for D/D build without 6 in arcana ? i played 2,6,0,2,2 or 2,6,0,0,4 with dagger dagger (with tempest defence ) and berserker but in 1 vs 1 it is not so simple . Has you a build without arcana to share ? ( i have played quite a lot without it but in hard fight it seems to me that arcana traits is really strong ( not only EA ) )
s/d fresh air is viable but in my opinion if a team is well organized they kill you quite fast … as first target putting 1 melee on you
Usually i play 0.2.0,6,6 with celestial or 0,0,2,6,6 with berserker … usually i avoid the second if there are thieves in my opponent team
I have no problem with condition becouse i use ether renewal as health skill , i find it much more effective than signet of restoration
After last patch i tried different build. ( i hate staff as weaponset and so i let it out) . For scepter dagger i think fresh air and bers is the best build but it is quite difficult to use and i prefer d/d . I found that classic 0,0,2,6,6 build with strenght runes and battle sigil is really good but i am not able to decide if it is better with berserker or celestial amulet. With the first i kill much more but i am weak against thief ( P/P unload in particular) instead with celestial i live much more but i am weaker against heavy armored tank. Any suggestion … or something different to try ?
Does tempest defense activate elemental shielding ? i was thinking to try a berserker build 30,30,10,0,0 and so i was thinking to use the 2 traits.
you never played elementalist i suppose … if you take diamon skin , written in stone or stone heart you have to take 30 in earth … and with d/d it becomes hard to kill someone … becouse you have to take 30 in arcana also or 15 in water …. so in my opinion it is better to take other things . stay alive, don’t die and don’t kill for me means nothing … for making bunker guardian or eng or warr make the same roles much better
usually freshair is used with scepter . 3400 attack after patch ? in the build you posted i see D/D … with s/d i know that damage is really different
In my opinion your build for pvp has a common problem. If you take 20 points in arcana and 20/30 in water you have a real low damage … you are a bunker ok , but a guardian bunker, an engi bunker or a warrior bunker can defend a point better than you. I suggest to take 20/30 in arcana or 15/20 in water so that you can have much more damage. In my opinion now earth traits is great, i am playing 0,20,20,0,30 with rock solid , celestial setup and i find it really great .
I was a pvp player and after this patch i really like gw2 pvp. I want to thanks all peolpe that worked and are working on this . People creates many posts for complain on this or that… instead i want to really thanks for you efforts .
In my opinion there is a more simple reason. I play dd expecially in pvp becouse it is simpler to use than staff or scepter /x .With DD you have air aura, 1 block skill every 15 seconds and 2 chill skill in water. It is much more simple to “control” a match . With scepter or staff if your opponent arrive to melee you it is not so simple to play. For pvp it is simple
