Hey guys, WvW is getting scraps again with this update!
So here’s a really short tournament to keep those of you who are dumb enough, to fall for it busy so you dont realise that you basically got nothing this year either!

Dying game is almost dead, I think I really will be going back to WoW for a bit.

Only a WvW player will probably stop playing this game at the end of the year.

But how do you know which WvW players are the ones tanking?
Anet will never ban transfers, transfers = gem purchases = $$$

I mean it’s not like we’ve been complaining about WvW to anet for the last 2 years to fix it or anything.
This is how anet wants WvW to be, and the guildmag interview with devon we found that there are absolutely no plans for it in the near future.

I can’t understand why Anet don’t get the idea and listen what the community is asking for since the release.

We asked for account bound commander tags, they are giving us those.
We asked for multicolour tags, they are giving us those.
We asked for account bound WXP, they gave us those.

Only problem is that it took 2 puppy years!
So from this what I take away is that, yes we all know they refused to listen to their WvW community. However now with players leaving they actually need to do something to try to keep people playing, so they have chosen “features” that were easy to do and release those.
This of course is more hypocrisy as apparently someone data mined the code and found that these coloured tags have been in the code for months, but they have only now just decided to make them live.

It’s too little too late, WvW is in the hospital’s ICU, whilst all the doctors and nurses are all gathered in pediatrics tending to some kid’s grazed knee.; with Mark the janitor walking by cleaning the floor, with earphones plugged in, not giving a single care to the screams of poor old WvW lying on the bed bleeding to death! And with Dr Devon’s pager going off continuously telling him to go to ICU urgently, but he’s too busy helping to cheer up the crying kid.

Do not worry Devon knows about this and has been working on a fix for over a year.
Expect it to be fixed soon!

What would stop a guild from chosing the most likely to win server ? A guild could also chose the servers they are against in order to sabotage them wasting supplys and spying.

You make it anonymous.

Sure some guilds will share with other guilds they want to work with, which server they will be moving to, but not with the leecher players/guilds.

Anet already know how many people play in WvW at each specific time on all servers.
They can allocate transfer via only giving away a certain number of spots.
Player can then reserve these spots.

This is not different from what goes on right now, with players and guilds transferring to bandwagon servers.

What this does is limit the transfer to a certain server so when one get’s full/slots taken all up, they will have no choice but to choose to stay where they are or choose one of the other servers.

As in some of my other posts, Anet can do a lot to help balance out the servers, Blizzard do it with WoW by giving free transfers to lower population realms. So why cant Anet?!
But of course, again, as usual, as usual; it is up to Anet to do all of this! They need to put in the effort and support that WvW needs

Well there’s what I said before, but then there’s also the “feature” pack.

WvW is only getting 2 things added, golem mastery and the antisiege siege.
2 years and WvW still has not received any content updates, but these minor things.
So yes as we all thought, seeing as WvW has still not received a content update, people are now leaving the game.

We have waited for anet for long enough, and now there are others games out there which we can better spend our time and money on. So why should these people stay on GW2 when it’s so stale with a lack of content and changes.

We all knew this was gonna happen, we’ve been warning anet since launch! But as usual they refused to listen, and what’s happening is happening. People are spending less time in GW2 and slowly moving elsewhere.

The next 2 weeks of the feature pack do not sound like they will brings much to WvW either! So dont hold your hopes that there will be something hiding in there!

WvW tournament is coming, time for the “great” servers to show what they dont have so that they can get to a lower tier, to then claim they are great at coming first in the lower tier again!

It’s been pointed out so many times.

Anet caused all this due to separating out NA and EU. People and guild were forced to believe they had to choose which one to go on. If they were american then NA, european then EU.

But then WvW is supposed to be a 24/7 battle, so what was the point in that. If you only have american in NA and european on EU, then at nights you will always have just a handful of players, with nothing going on.

As I posted back after free transfer were ended, anet need to monitor the activity of WvW on all servers. This way they can easily find out which server are inactive at given times, and which ones have long queues.
From this they can then offer free transfers from the busy server to the less active server to help balance everything out and make WvW a real 24/7 battlezone!

But as always this required anet to actually care about WvW, to spend time on it and actually help improve it!

What is the point of coloured tags now? Noone runs tags any more unless they want to run the server zerg, and you only need the one tag, the guild raid and small groups just run around tagless with a target on their leader!

Simply put it’s too little too late, and I would love to know how the numbers have fallen from anet’s WvW activity graphs!

Wall put it this way, most suggestions and ideas you see posted in the last month or so, have already been made 1-2 years ago!

At that time the devs dais some of them are great ideas we’ll add them soon as we can.
Coloured commander tags was one of them, it’s taken over a year!

So if soon is a year, then

Week 2 sounds like QoL stuff
Weeks 3 is all about trading, gathering and collecting mats and stuff

Week 1 is over, which was for PvP and WvW.
That means that’s it! There is no other “feature” for WvW in this pack!

But dont sound disappointed, It’s DOUBLE what we got in the last feature pack!
But if you include the coloured tags and tournament then its QUADRUPLE!

I think you read incorrectly, This IS for a borderlands map,

Create this one map then have it set for all 3 BL as the current map is.

As said, instead of spending more time on create a full BL, you can create a third of it, and copypasta it to make it into one full BL. Then use that BL as a new BL for each server.

TBH I just want a change from the current maps we’ve had for 2 years!

Create one area for one server.

Cut and paste and rotate twice to make it look similar to EOTM triangle map

Add bridges and other methods of crossing from one to another.
Or dont, make it so that the bridges must be defended if you want to defend your map or attack another!

There you go saved you up to 66% of development time!

You clearly have no idea what programming is like! The time it takes so that the code doesnt cause issues with the rest of the game, or create other unforeseen bugs and glitches!

So yes, this really is it!

You know how in cartoons you have teh character end up in the middle of the road in the night, and then it light slowly shines brighter, only for the toon to turn and see a car heading straight towards them before it runs over them.

Well I’m parked up in a car with some popcorn watching it all happen.

There is no way for anet to tell if someone is zoom hacking, or if they are running triple monitors.

As such they will not ban anyone for doing it either way. hence zoom hacking is a legit tactic because of this.

I am going to jump in here answer these as honestly as I am able.

1. We can’t talk about that right now. Once the in-development features reach a state where we, as a company, are comfortable talking about them, we will.
2. Some player requests are under development. What those are and when they will be completed, I can’t say at this time for reasons mentioned above.
3. Devon is very busy with his job duties and only has limited time to devote to reading the forums. If he spent the time demanded of him responding to threads on the forums, his work would suffer. My job duties have me reading and reporting on the forums regularly to ensure that Devon and the rest of the team are aware of active concerns within the WvW community. I do this for other parts of the forum as well. As has been mentioned a multitude of times previously, our developers read the forums as much as they are able, but time prevents them from responding to everything they read.

So now we know what the big secrets were.

You know re-reading that post from Mark, you can take away the fact that there is no WvW team, just the single dev.
Why say Devon is busy instead of the WvW dev team? unless Devon is the only person who’s supposed to be working on WvW.

But to get back on topic, yes, seeing that all WvW got in the first feature pack was account bound WXP, only getting 2 things this feature pack, DOUBLE than last time, makes sense. We should praise them, I mean him, for giving us twice as much updates this time round!
Remember that commander tags are for PvE as well, so counting it as a WvW only update is really grasping at straws to fill a sinkhole.

What will be even better is the backlash Mark will get for his post about not being able to talk about updates if all we really do get is the above. Even including the coloured tags, we cannot believe you were told to be silent over such mundane and basic updates!!!!
Here’s hoping, lol yeah right I’ve given up on that for this game; that we get some real updates revealing in the coming weeks, for WvW!

So, people have been complaining about how strong siege is and how everything in WvW is tied to using siege.
Now ArenaNet comes up with a way to change or at least disturb that meta, and now it is suddenly the worse idea ever to limit siege?

There really is no pleasing people, is there?

Have you even watched the video on how to use this new siege disabler?

You have to throw it. A lot of AC placements are hard to hit even with an ele’s meteor shower, how is one supposed to hit something they cannot see?
People will buy a few to try out, but then realise how useless these things are and never touch them again!

Anet will never please anyone if they just add something without any communication with the community and doing things the way they like!
And let’s face it the dev dont play WvW, and if they do they dont know how! What am I talking about, of course they dont know how, they are on Blobgate, just follow the zerg!!

Useless siege is useless.

That said, the only time they will be useful is if you are defending a tower from rams. Just throw on onto a ram and it’s disabled for 40s (or 45, even they dont know!) But that doesnt stop the 80 man zerg from aoeing you preventing you from destroying the rams.

Again the real problem with the game is the zerging.

No commander tags are for WvW only!

Anet have officially confirmed this by placing the change to the compendium in the WvW section of the patch notes!

As such I think we should demand the tags be changed to be WvW use only and disable then for PvE!!!
That or they can put the patch note in the general polish bit and stop trying to fools people into thinking WvW got an update!

There’s still more things which will be unveiled within the next 3 weeks. Though I am expecting less than the bare minimum for WvW, I bet it’ll be mostly sPvP stuff.

But yes coloured commander is something we asked for and it’s taken just way too long.
How much longer are we to wait before they give us guild commander tags? Tag only visible to guild members.

Indeed, but there are times when I want to be able to read squad chat, but also know where the rest of the commanders are as well!

All anet staff can display that logo on their characters.
They also have the option to disable it as well.
It’s up to them if they want to or not.

And you posted in the WvW forums. EOTM is not WvW in the eyes of real WvW players. Only anet staff who think they did us a favour.

I think the real mistake, apart from the whole neglect thing, is that when it came to testing EOTM, they most likely invited “well-known” sPvP guilds to do it. Seeing as anet is trying really hard to push GW2 into tournaments.
We all know they really need to change their thinking, and any future testing should be done by players who actually play the mode that they want testing, not players anet want to cosy up with.

If there are no new BL maps, hacking fixes, and whole load of other stuff which we’ve been expecting for the last year+ then I am not interested.

I mean come on, after 2 years they give us coloured tags?! Nothing else we can take away from it yet!

“Coloured tags, that’ll keep them happy for another year” No it wont.

Even WvW player buy skins!

The fact is that because anet has neglected WvW so much, they havent really thought of producing any WvW items for the gem store!
We cannot even use toys in WvW because of the fact that they have not thought of how they can be misused in WvW, so again they took the easy way out by not allowing us to use any toys in WvW! Which is totally unfair.

But in 12 days I dont think it will matter, we’ll see how they have used our WvW to “big up” WvW claiming how awesome it is; and then we’ll see how many players leave the game…

It costs nothing to respec. Just how lazy of a person do you intend on being?

There are already players out there where half or more than half of their inventory space is filled with gear for different builds they run.

And do you know the time it takes to change? More than one would like.

As for WvW meta, it’s already horrible, you cant make it worse. And it’ll make things more interesting as players can get out of combat and change their build to suit the opponent.

We had it in GW1 so am surprised that 2 years into release we still havent got it for GW2.

People run different builds for different things, if players are into PvE, sPvP and WvW, that’s 3 different build there alone. And each build will have a different set of armour, weapons and trinkets.

For WvW alone we have have 3 builds we may want to run at different times. But it’s a bit of a hassle having to carry all your gear in your bags, and then have to swap them out one at a time AND THEN having to change your traits for that build!

Can we expect there to be an option in the Hero panel and inventory to set up multiple specs and store gear for those builds elsewhere?

Hell why not even make it a gem store item! Each purchase opens up a spec slot for a character/account.

CDIs, what are they?

I see them as nothing more than a bluff, and it worked for the first 3 CDIs; they got people in and talking about what they want. But the 3rd one was just wrong, a lot of players asking why talk about EOTM when it has only been out a month.

We were expecting a 4th by now, but again it hasnt appeared. I believe this is due to total failure of the Season 2 rewards. The WvW dev only had one thing to do, make sure people got their rewards. But it didnt work, and they had to “quickly” get a fix out.
A lot of players, some of whom are new, were able to see posts from players who’ve been here since beta, and they were shown that nothing much has changed in WvW since launch.

Newer players posting suggestions on how to improve the game, only to be told we suggested it a year or more ago. People posting that classic WvW blog page on it’s future, only to realise that too is over a year old and nothing has been done.

So in the end anet have probably realised creating a 4th WvW CDI will cause even more negativity; just look at the Call To Arms thread, people demanding why they want our footage when they have neglected us for 2 years. A week later and still no answer.

When silence is their answer, infracting and deleting and banning, what exactly can we take away from this?
If they were really working on something, they still would not be claiming they cannot talk about it. If it was to be released soon, they would at least give us a brief description, but also stating the release date is not definite.
Saying they are working on something but cannot talk about it, it is now the same as they are not working on it at all, that is the state of the game for WvW right now.

So dont expect a 4th CDI until the mods do some clearing of the forums, i.e. for those who complain to much to obtain enough infractions to “warrant” a permanent ban from the forums.

idk, what happened to the guilds who tested EOTM for the WvW community? Look at how that turned out, but there hasnt been any hate towards them.

Also guild cannot control all their players, if one player streams and then allows anet to use their footage, what they gonna do?
If they dont mind it can be used as recruiting, or attracting players to the server they are on.
If they do mind, all they can do is kick the person who allowed anet to use it.

But as I said, it doesnt matter, what really matters is what anet is going to do with it?!
If they use it to advertise WvW and we still dont get any updates this summer, WvW players are gonna hate the devs even more! But what good will that do? We cannot voice our opinions here, nor can we do it on their facebook page; trust me I’ve tried and been blocked from posting on their page! All dozen accounts!!! And you remember when GvG players spammed their twitch streams? Any who wrote GvG was auto banned from posting on their streams as well!!!
Anet have done everything possible, bar banning us from the game completely, all in the hopes to silence us.

Let them do what they want, we’ll just wait and ride the storm. I sit in earnest waiting to see their video compilation and it’s affects/
