eg The Grove has the best use of these where you have different levels within the tree.

I think what we need to know is how many new zones will there be? But remember even if the number is low, each zone with have 3 layers.

It wont be a EOTM map, it’s supposed to be a BL rotation. I have already posted my disappointment that after all this wait we only get one new WvW BL map and some yet to detail WvW changes in defense of towers.

We should have had this map last year, this map should be at minimum the 3rd WvW BL map.

But again we’ll have to wait and see.
It will refresh the stale state of WvW at the moment, and I am hopeful it will bring some old players back to check out the changes.

The new PvP mode will allow GvGs, great for GvG players as well.

BUT WvW deserves more attention!

And what I really want to know is and answer from anet: Why should WvW players buy your expansion for just one much delayed map?!

Hmm yeah, with silvari being shunned as enemies now, I was kindda thinking they would introduce dueling in PvE, but guess not.

You have alienated too many players over the last 2 years, if so then less players will come back to the game…

Yes it is better than nothing, but this was promised 2 years ago.

We’ve asked for new maps for SO long, and we only get 1; so that’s 2 maps on a rotation…

Still too little too late, but at least we have some sort of GvG now as well, these 2 will hopefully get quiet a few players back in the game, at least for a while.

Please add more maps asap, we cannot wait another 2.5 years!

They are only at the top because they have the most coverage and hence activity.

There are a lot of WvW only players, what do you expect them to do for a week?

Even if Anet release an update or expansion with everythign all players wanted, and making the game 1000 time better, I still will not be happy with Anet.

Why? Because nothing can fix the way Anet treated us WvW players for the last 2 years! Making promises, telling us they were working on this that or the other, then turning around saying things were “more complicated”, to just plain doing nothing and saying “we cannot talk about it” to punishing us for voicing ours concerns and complaints.

Sorry but how does any company to come back from that?!

How will WvW players react?
PvE got LS almost ever 2 weeks, and now a possible expansion? What additional and meaningful content did WvW get?

I didnt like the idea of PPK, but a lot of people liked it.

And as we saw when PPK started, a couple of severs, especially in EU, gained a couple of ranks.
But now after a week without PPK, those severs are falling back down.

I think reinforced the fact that WvW is not about great battles, it is more about coverage; which we have repeated complained to anet about.

Yes you get great battles in your primetime, but what wins the match are the nightcappers.

I think, even though many liked PPK, anet really need to look at WvW and realise it needs a complete overhaul!
You’ve ignored us for 2 years now, obviously you couldnt talk about it cos we now know you really were not doing anything at all for WvW because you were all concentrating on the expansion!!!

The question after this is, will the expansion be PvE only, or have you actually done something to add real content to WvW?! New maps? What about the weather feature that EOTM has which you never put into WvW even though you claimed EOTM was also to be a testing ground for possible WvW features?!

I guess we’ll find out the future, or downfall of WvW in 3 days…..

“it is more than likely” i.e. yes it is possible any old player can have a higher rank and not be commanding, but more than 50% of the time it will be the commander.

We’ve already seen the devs remove the ability to see the commander icon on players running the commander tag. But now players are able to find the commander using their WvW rank.

It is more than likely that the player with the highest WvW rank is the commander and so still easily identifiable in groups.

So who else thinks a player’s WvW rank should be removed from their tag?

Yup. I asked about auto clicking, I even said I could set the macro up so that it can do 10 clicks per second, yes that’s 10 and it is possible for a lot of players even if you cant do it!

I would like to know how many visually impaired players use this mod cos it help them play the game? If a mod helps handicapped players play, then it should not be banned; if that mod allows non-handicapped plays to gain an advantage, well it’s a mod available to all, so anyone can gain that advantage so long as anet allows mods and adds a mods section to the forums!

If you have been with GW2 for over a year then you can use that scroll of experience to get to lvl 20 instantly.

Then you only need 60 tombs.

The tombs are random from WXP rank rewards, so I believe your low char should still get them. But you also get them from your login rewards. So if you logged in everyday last month you should easily have 10 I think.

This is a PvE expansion, most likely. With the horrid way the devs have been treating WvW players for the last 2 years! with the constant lack of real content updates, and doing less than the bare minimum for WvW!

As a WvW player I wouldnt trust Anet to make me a grilled cheese sandwich!

Oh you mean the Orbs we had at launch but hackers kept fly hacking so players complained, so Anet did the simplest solution, removed them entirely! and do nothing about the hackers.

What do you think that circular area just north of north camp was for?!
I assume you started playing after the Orbs were removed to suggest adding something that was removed.

As hackers have grown in confidence to portray their “skills” in the open field for all to see, to even taunt players with them, some players have repeated asked for the Orbs to be returned, instead we got the ruins…. :/

And the solution is so kittening simple: If your guild has more buffs than the current guild claiming a keep, you should be allowed to claim it from them!

This makes sure you have the buffs you need when you need it.

WvW is a 24/7 match, and guilds dont always have members online 24/7. So how do you ask them to claim something else when they are offline?
The above solution is simple and what is needed and prevents troll guilds from claiming a keep to prevent you from getting your buffs!

Cross-Server chat, a feature WvW players would want, but will go ignored by anet to make PPK a permanent feature. Yes I know a lot of people want that too, but still.

If they want to remove white sword permanently then they have to add rewards to scouting and patrolling.

Hell bring back rewards for dolly escorts! The only reason they removed that reward was due to botters, but there are so many hackers who cares.
And it isnt a complex thing to fix, neither of them are. You simple add events in keeps and add more pve mobs to attack dollies that you have to be present to complete those tasks in order to get the rewards.

Blame Anet, they are the ones who create NA and EU servers without being able to play against each other.

They created WvW to be a 24/7 battle yet split people into the above regions.

Regions have primetimes.

They forgot that French Canadians and American Spanish players would probably join some EU French/Spanish dedicated servers, and hence give them more coverage at off-peak times.

This leads to night capping teams which are way stronger compared to some other servers.

But at least WvW is balanced and hasnt need to be changed for 2 years. I mean noones complained about it at all! At least I dont see any posts about such things on the forums

They had semi-open beta for EotM where guilds could apply for access. Said beta went on for quite some time, and rather many things changed based on the feedback.

When the map was released (with the changes made due to feedback) people raged like mad about how that was not what they wanted at all and that it was the worst thing ever and that ArenaNet are useless and can’t do anything at all right. Despite them doing exactly what people in the beta said.

As I recall it ended up being mainly sPvP guilds that were invited to test out EOTM, hence why so many WvW players complained about it when it was released.

I dont see what the problem is. Yes players shouldnt be able to get in there, but we can.

But what harm is there?
Sure they can kill a few merchants, not like they are gonna drop a precusor though.
They cannot kill you as you have the Determined buff making you invincible.

But the fact remains that the devs actually wasted time fixing the easier way to jump into citadel than spending time improving WvW.
They could have spent that time fixing almost anything else that actually affects the matchups, but instead they yet again did the easiest thing they could do, which was alter the map texture a little.

Hate to tell you this but for me, like you, there isnt much fun in PvE in this game.

In other MMOs I’ve mostly been a PvE player, even in GW1.
But coming into this game I have found PvE very boring. In fact I spend almost all of my time 99%+ in WvW.

But it’s been 2 years and even WvW has become stale, if it wasnt for the guild I am playing with I would have stopped playing this game.

I and other players have complained about the lack of updates especially to WvW, but unfortunately anet staff “cannot talk about it” or any future or possible future update of this game until the are actually gonna release it. It’s become so tiresome using this excuse that so many players have left the game already.

So all I can say is find a good guild which is active in the modes of the game you like, and play the game until you get bored. Cos once you’ve done most of it, there is no real incentive to fun to redo it.

Or do what Lucyfer has said. I myself have played for 2 years, I’ve seen the high (yes singular), and the oh so many lows (and oh there have been so so many!) to the “development” of this game and the treatment towards players who voice their concerns about this game.
So I myself have got my money’s worth, even though I still complain about the lack of updates WvW gets and the treatment towards WvW players. You on the other-hand, you’ve joined late, I very much doubt you’ll get your money’s worth unless you like the extensive grinding required in this game that Anet promised this game wouldnt have!

OK yes they were everywhere before, but now there are almost 3 times the number of ACs in towers and keeps.

Time to nerf ACs??

WvW matches were originally supposed to be 2 weeks long!

They stuck with 1 week, but we’ve seen how zergs win and bandwagoners migrate to top servers.

What some have suggested are stick with a week long matchup, but break each day into 3 8-hour shifts.
You then average out the score from each shift from each day to get a slightly better score than the current one where night capping can help a server win even though they are really the weaker server.

Now I expect lag in WvW, but lag in my home instance?!

Come on!

Why is it that we have so many positive posts from people in PvE, yet in WvW all we see are complaints?

Surely this is a sign which Anet is still ignoring….
Of course you cannot make everyone happy, but that doesnt mean you have to neglect WvW completely, so much so that it is now in it’s current stale state.
