The wiki says it only cleanses blindness. You can spam “cleansing” for blindness by auto attacking your target. How is that any different? Either way, you’re not doing damage.
One fractal is even an asuran city which obviously nobody misses or talks about.
(lots of snipping)
I think that frac is supposed to depict a possible future.
I think of scepter/shield and mace/focus being more synergistic. Focus doesn’t push the opponent away while blocking so you can keep hitting with mace. You want to keep people away from you while using scepter and shield 5 helps with that.
Life force needs a huge QoL pass, it should have something like a set passive increase in our out of combat and the amount built up should be visible to enemy players as well. Maybe we’ll see it in 2018?
Another idea is to let the Signet of Undeath passive tick both in and out of combat. I believe it takes 5 minutes to get 100% life force from it. It would be a sort of underpowered Healing Signet for life force.
I figured they’d just tell me to put it on forums again, so I did so preemptively.
All gear sorts into the crafted equipment box first. I want it to sort into the fractal rarity boxes first then into the crafted box. That means I want the whites/blues/greens in the crafted box and the rares and exos in the fractal boxes.
I noticed that rare gear will sort into the equipment box (crafted) before the rare equipment box (fractal). I suspect the exotic equipment box (fractal) will have the same effect. I made the crafted equipment box to consolidate all the non rare/exo equipment into one place. I’d like to see a few changes.
1. Have the gear sorted by rarity first then type. Makes sense since there are specific rarity boxes.
2. Have a sort button that, should the boxes and bags have been previously full or items been misplaced, would sort everything in your inventory into the appropriate bags if those bags have space. (Excluding what’s in your invisible/safe bag/box) This would make sorting through bags so much easier as you will know which bag to look in for a specific item.
3. I forgot. Came up with these ideas last night and this one got lost.
I think all the DS skills would have to have a shared CD and LF bar including the F# transform.
Hey there,
The issue here is your 32-bit operating system. You’ve got 8 GB of RAM in your system, however, due to the limitations of 32-bit operating systems you are only really using about 3.5 . In order to make full use of the RAM in your system and to avoid these crashes, I’d advise upgrading to a 64-bit operating system.
Your only other option would be to try tweaking your graphics options down a bit to alleviate some of the crashing.
Fixed it for you.
Inanimate objects might not bleed or become confused, but they can rot, warp and corrode. Just switch names of the dots depending on what is hitting but basically do something similar.
Actually, Anet knows about this and said they weren’t going to do anything about it.
Edit: As the posters above mentioned, don’t get too tied up looking at personal score.
Unless your score is 0 in late game despite your best efforts.
How long does shared anguish last? What’s the sign that it is being used? Why aren’t there pets being affected?
So, wait, warriors have 3 abilities that can’t be stripped, etc. The complaint is, they don’t have four? How many do the other professions get? Do other professions get stability that cannot be stripped?
I believe rangers do. I’ve seen rangers immune to my cc many times with no indication why on them or their pet and it’s becoming more common.
Throwing them in the mystic forge sounds ok too. Perhaps we could see a return of rare mystic forge items like the mystic forge conduit, items to make the mystic forge conduit, rare recipes and/or armor/weapon boxes that might not necessarily contain ascended items.
Death Shroud can be stripped with moa or sufficient damage.
I’m pretty sure that minions gain the conditions they draw. The bug I have the biggest problem with is that conditions, drawn or not, often last longer on minions. My flesh golem died from full hp from a 3 sec burn that didn’t end. This effect is most noticed during spirit watch when the opposing team takes tranquility while you’re on point. Your minions get varying duration chill that can last for quite some time.
Can’t wait to see the thief bunker build you come up with. :-)
When we transmute an item, the items’ name stays the same. I liked the old system where you could skin an item and then link the skins’ name with the new stats. If someone asks what axe I’m using I link it and it says Tonns’ Reaver rather than Dragons’ Jade Reaver. This may confuse some new players as they may think “Oh, I want that Tonns’ Reaver because it looks cool”. I could manually type out the name of the skin, but it was nicer when I could just link it.
Each minion has their own timer. That timer will keep rotating whether or not it stripped a condition off.
I think it is most likely that the healing potency of minion siphon will be at what it is now only if you spec for the highest healing power. That will mean giving up toughness or vitality for the same amount of siphon healing they give now.
It seems to have something to do with how close your minions are to your target when you initiate combat. After running, I stop and let my minions catch up before starting combat.
Staffs get a scythe visual when used. Why doesn’t this count?
Unless they walk through you. It happens to me all the time in pvp. Some people come up right in my face and walk trough me repeatedly. Both the auto attack and the ghastly claws fail when this happens.
If anyone cares, Runes of Lyssa does have a cd. I don’t know how long it is, but I know if I summon Flesh Golem and use its’ charge a short time later it won’t proc again.
Thank you for the summary post, however, I did not see anything in there pertaining to WvWvW. We still have the problem of them dieing way to fast in zerg vs zerg. And we also have the large issue of us loosing 30% of our damage when defending or taking a keep/fort because pet’s will not scale up or down the walls. This includes the birds which will not fly up or down the wall to attack the targets. The only way I can see to combat this would be to have pets like all over class mechanics, an addition to our damage, not taking away from our damage. For instance, warriors get to do 100% of their damage and if they have full adrenaline they do an extra 15% damage. Ranger should be set up the same way with pets. Ranger’s should have 100% control of their damage and the pet, while alive, should be able to deal an extra 15% damage. If the pet is dead then it deals no extra damage like warriors with no adrenaline will deal no extra damage. We will still have the problem of the pets not being able to hit a moving target but at least the ranger will no longer have this handicap on them.
Mesmers clones can be spawned on some objects in a building so having flying pets attacking cannons, oil and other things not too far into a wvw building sounds reasonable. Many classes have options for hitting things inside a building; ele=Meteor Shower, necro=Flesh Wurm and so on, so there is precedent.
Edit: Hmmm, maybe spiders can crawl up walls too….
Sounds like Dee Jay is a necro. Most other classes can stomp pretty easily. Try using a speed boon. Speed boons makes your stomps faster.
By speed boon, I imagine you mean quickness and not swiftness.
Actually, I mean regular speed boons. Last I knew, they increased stomp speed. Like that engie speed/skill that allows them to stomp before your downed skills even pop up.

This boon isn’t about dropping condition damage as it could replace instances of condition removal or immunity.
I’d like to hear feedback about a potential new buff:
Robust: Reduces condition damage by 33%.
There have been changes to allow easier access to condition removal for some classes. I think this could be a nice alternative.
Played mes exclusivley for almost 1 year, i only use moa on annoying thieves who spam d/p stealth, because they cant stealth as a moa and killing them when they are a helpless bird is priceless. Moa is a SITUATIONAL tool, it is not overpowerd, you can dodge it, block it, stability im 99% sure stops it, you have plenty of opportunities to stop yourself being moad, it even has a blatant cast animation, its not our fault if you’re too stupid to avoid it. and doesn’t need to be nerfed.
I nearly always run mass invis op, BUT when faced with a particularly annoying thief who abuses his ability to steatlh, or an annoying warrior, i slot in moa morph and do my upmost to destroy the turkey before it escapes. You should save your tears to complain about real class balance issues such as the place of rangers and how they are compared to thief/warrior in pvp meta. This is a L2P issue. not a cry nerf cause it killed your op healing signet warrior issue.
I don’t think stability stops it. I was moad when I used my lich form.
It happens to me whether or not I panic. I tried to using quick taps before but that didn’t make a difference to me.
Sometimes you don’t even have to double tap.
That’s too bad. I was thinking a team of necros working in tandem with SoV could be a new teq team. That’s a lot of extra dmg.
The ele Arcane Wave is useful as it’s both a heal and a field blaster. I use it on my ele.
If I remember correctly, they said they created the professions balance forum so they wouldn’t have to go through all the other forums. I think this forum is just for necros. If you want them to hear you about issues of skills or balance, I think you need to take it to the professions balance forum.
Already did since it used to be useful for tequatl and wurm…
It’s not anymore?
I think this thread was made by a thief that just wants to collect the loot bag that is an ele in less than 3 seconds. 1 hit ele to downed state, counter anti stomp and collect loot. Boo hoo, ele lasts 3 extra seconds because of vapor form. Nerfa nerfa nerfa.
There is no need to nerf this skill. It isn’t overpowered. It’s not as if they can attack you during that 3 seconds. I wonder if “Vengeance” allows warriors to collect loot and go through portals….
I disagree with nerfing the eles’ #2 downed skill. Of course, as a necro, I can’t secure a stomp anyway. From what I understand, a thief is upset that he didn’t get the loot bag he was expecting. Guess what, thief, there are many people who are upset about not getting the loot bag from you due to you stealth running and resetting a fight until your opponents skills are all on cd and you win. So eles get to go into a keep to reset a fight? Thieves reset fights wherever they are..
Rather than have a nerfed version of line of warding, how about a new concept.
Inverse Topography: The ground and the air are reversed. It has the same aoe of unsteady ground.
The idea is to force an opponent to wait until the spell ends or go around the obstruction. This differs from line of warding and unsteady ground by how it acts.
1) It is an obstruction. You cannot shoot through it, teleport past it or leap over it.
2) It does not stun, knockback, daze, or knockdown so having stability does not allow you to cross it.
What are your thoughts?
Let me get this straight; you want to nerf the only thing eles do in any PvP enviroment?!
Whats next, reducing their health pool to minimun, give them light armor, nerf their healing in every patch and make all their skills have 40+ secs CD with highly telegraphed and long casting animations?!
…oh, wait….
Also, I believe the minion that pulls the condition off also acquires that condition. I’ve also seen pulled conditions last 10 times longer on those minions. I’ve watched my full life blood fiend die from a 4 sec burn it pulled from me that never timed out on it. The most obvious example of this is when you are standing on a point in temple of storms and someone takes tranq. All your minions end up with ~30 seconds of chill.
It’s not just about poison, it’s about getting that last little bit of health down before they heal.
I disagree about putrid explosion being blockable. It’s important to be able to hit a target that blocks a lot otherwise they just heal up. Timing an explosion on a blocking engie is extremely important too. They heal for quite a bit if you don’t kill them fast.
Bhawb, why don’t you like Lich runes?
I use Lich runes. They might not be the best option, but it’s nice to have that extra minion when it counts.
I don’t always run staff, but with my current wvw build I usually do.
You must be “The Most Interesting Necro in the World.”
Stay necrotic, my friends.
Ever have to battle a ranger underwater? Better keep up that poison and fear its pet away when you have the ranger downed.
Death Nova + Bone Minions gives pretty good poison (and weakness) uptime, but most power builds don’t want 30 in death magic.
How are you getting weakness from Death Nova+ Bone Minions?
