Atm there is no motivation to keep playing if the game is lost, and since there is no resign option, some just afk, because the game its lost really lost.
Let anet fix MM then we can talk about punishing the afk player, cause atm i dont see the point.

Then litterally afk after the opening fight at mid. This is unforgivable. Players that let the game end because they think it’s gonna end quicker are harming the team way more then 4 noobs could do. fights are outnumbered, holding points get harder, forcing decaps gets harder. And espically if that guy that AFK get’s kittening wiped before me in my case. People have no justifcation for afk’ing. Spitefull behaviour it is. And yes the 4 players are innoncent. Who the hell are you or anybody to determine how good a player should be in a game? They paid for the game just as you did, they like you are better then others and also share the burden of having to play with people below their level. Not even the best matchmaking system will save u from blowout matches 100 percent of the time. If U don’t want to accept the consequences of playing with people beneath your level besides playing in a game with kittenING RANDOMS FOR CRYING OUT LOUD THEN THIS IS YOUR kittenING FAULT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not a lot of complaints about matchmaking are a problem to deal with, except how it groups puts the bottom half of MMRs on one side vs. the top half of MMRs on the other.

If you see Amber’s in Legend, it’s because they’re partied with someone in that pip range of their own manipulation. All matches take place within a small-ish pip range. Class distribution is hardly a problem, if the players behind them are matched equally with the enemy. In extremely crippling comps like 3 thieves, people just switch.

All the problems are gonna be de-magnified as soon as teams stop being purposefully different in average player skill

Class distribution is a real problem even if all skill players.
Do u remember 2014 all star tournament?
North america had a much worse team comp and we all knew that and the result was easy to understand why.

And it is against the rules to intentionally throw a match. I could start a match and die once at a point, throw my hands in the air and say “we lost gg” and then afk for the next 495 points, and it is no different than when you quit at 300. Whether you afk’d at 5 points or 300, you are still throwing the match by refusing to play.

Now the reason a player would afk at 300-70 with no capps and team is perma down and feeding 1 by 1, is to save time , U CANT WIN SUCH GAMES.
I have games that i win 1vs2 far and my team dies at mid in seconds.
I know the game is only lost when the other team reaches 500.
But some players dont need to wait untill the other team reaches 500 to understand this, no 1 is trowing the game they know the game its lost they accept the outcome that is all.
People just die when heart stops right?
Why there is people with stage four caa a n c e r or wtv other desiese going to switzerland on porpuse to take a lethal injection?

Well they dont, but they know the outcome and they know they have only a few month left of pain, so they choose to die before time.
Same ingame , some players can see this and choose to afk to end the game faster.

If your answer is yes, then go back out there and keep fighting. Keep trying to win those 1v2s or 1v3s. Look for strategic openings to capture points. Work on your rotations. Work on your map awareness. Learn your strengths and weaknesses.

Even if you are absolutely sure you are losing because you have a bad team, use the time to practice. As good as you think you may be, there is always someone better, and always a higher level of skill to strive for. And there is no better time to improve than being impossibly outmatched.

Most importantly, just have fun. I used to be guilty of raging at team members before I learned to chill out. If you’re not down with the whole practice thing, do silly stuff like seek out a 1v1 and dance on their corpse if you clinch it. Win, lose, if you’re angry at the game, you’re not having fun, and that’s no way to play.

What about the hundreds of others that have played 24k or more games? Are you better or worse than them?

Even if I know a game is a loss, I keep going, trying to down players while I’m being mobbed, or just trying to stay alive for as long as I can. So the same players reach legend in 3 weeks every season ( those are the bad players)
The ones that are stuck in divs ( are the pros)

Some legendaries are way better than others , same like everything in life u can get be a gm in chess with 2600 elo and still never beat some of the " real " gms because those r much better.
Same u can be a black belt in jiu jitsu for years and still u will never beat guys like marcelo or galvao etc etc
What im trying to say is even there is a lot of us in legendary doesnt mean we are legendary really, we reach legendary because when we compare a casual to a bad player then yes u are legendary.
But dont fool yourself there is only like 30- 40 players at most in this game that are real legendary players.
So when u get like players in your team like caed, black jack, levin, phantaram, rom denshee ….. you are going to win almost for sure and if u get vs them even if they are not in team you are going to lose because they have a diferent awereness and skill above the rest of us.

This treads are funny, first.. the same way you are stuck with him , hes also stuck with you, and if you are playing thief and are perma down ,how do you think he feels when u are in his team?
Any way im sure its easy to blame the guy that whent afk then to think WHY HE WENT AFK , every one thinks hes a pro and yet they are stuck in divisions.
I actually stop playing pvp almost a month because pvp atm is a mess :

Bad macth making
Class staking
Players with 0 clue and awereness
Pugs vs premades
( and then this is why we get afkers)

Now im not talking about top players , because those will reach legend in the first week due to good play and beeing in a party, now a casual player that is decent will reach legend in 3-4 weeks EVEN WITH ALL THOSE PROBLEMS I WROTE ABOVE, so if u r still stuck , im sorry to tell you but , its time to look at your game play and stop blaming everything else.

Im almost sure we will get or torch(almost sure of this one ) or a sword.
I also think that will be a condi weapon since we have just 1 atm .

I think from the weapons left ,the one that looks better on necro is the torch.
I think we need some form to prevent damage, some invul, or stealth, maybe super speed or fast teleport.
Cause atm if u see a necro u know hes just gonna take everything u trow at him, necro needs a weapon with some " get out of jail free card skill "

i think this pip system brings toxic to another lvl.
i also flame when i see players afk at point alone whole game like i had last 3 games ina row.
but there is a diference calling some 1 nab or scrub or :

game started i went far won my 1 vs 1 in less then 10 seconds and then i ran mid ,
by the time i got to mid (i was solo , but the other 4 players i had were a 4 men premade) all my team wiped in secs, i didnt say anything, but sudently i started getting insults from them towards me and my family.

wtf is this?, im actually legend atm and my 4 premade team mates were all diamond , actually one was div 4 and the others div 5, but the thing is if they were also legend probly wouldnt have ended like this.

previous game before that again , before game started i said pliz dont afk at points, i got 1 player saying he would afk at base, i didnt say anything , then he started to insult me for no reason, i asked them to stop and he kep insulting me , he just didnt stop, at the end i saw he was div 5.

i think some players see they cant reach legend and start to insult players non stop , i mean really insulting.
i think this game in season 4 will have even less players.

Ask yourself these questions:

Does my team loses all team fights?
Do we have any capps ?
Do u have a player afk close while game and u cant get other point cause of 4v5?
Does my team wipes every 20 seconds?

Some players are able to see this and much much more and they know u would need almost a miracle to win , so they give up cause the team is just feeding.
Who cant see this thinks u should and must keep playing untill they reach 500.

I can post sreen shot i gave up at 470-200 we had no capps.
And players ask me why i give up.
I tried to explain by the time i reach the node from base the game is over
So just use your head and u will start to understand this that im trying to explain.

The player base is small and because of that u will get a lot of the same players in your games.if u join solo like i do , u just need to hope for the best, there is always gonna be problems, or bad team comps vs good comps, or pugs vs premades, or stacked classes, or players that afk close the whole game , or rude players.
Trust me i get them all, they think they all pros, same in this forum , every one knows how to rotate and have top scores but they r stuck in mmr hell.
You just need to endure the macth making if you join solo, in a few games if u are decent you will go up and those bad players that u see will stay in their divisions.
Any way just keep joining and hope for the best, thats all u can do really.

There is a lot of things that i would like to see in the game, like a mystic forge in the hotm, or beeing able to join pvp while doing some pve or www or maybe some resign option when the game is really lost?

But theres 1 thing that i want the most, and that is build templates like in gw1.
I change my build every game including traits, skills, sigils even amulets and runes and i mean every game.
And some times im facing such a team comp that i need to change everything in my build.
So it would be so handy to have build templates .

If you are in a mid fight an u win mid fight an u playing thief and you see all your team going far and no 1 at your close.

U need to comunicate because not every one can do everything.

U need blood magic, and atm i think bm is only teally viable if u use minions or something, cause if u take reaper+ soul reaping then u pick curses or spite? If u taking BM trait line u must be running something not optimal cause healing on necro suks.

Like i said and its my opinion, u have good reliable ways to generate life force including the other weapons, but swifness u dont.
So if u are facing many necros wouldnt u rather have the of dagger.
Anyway doesnt matter its my opinion, and i think oh dagger is fine.
U should ask to your guild mayes or friends why they pick wh mos of the time.
If u running ex. power build d/h , why u think they need the wh the most?
Dagger as a short range and they need the swifness to stick to the target, because necro is too slow thats why.
But go ahed and ask your friends and u will see what they say.
U could aford to play with wh even if he didnt give life force, but playing with no swifness as a necro then u just cant rotate, u will get decaped non stop and u will alwys be to late rotating.
U are crossing the map and when u see u need to move to a or b it wouldnt matter cause by the time u would arrive the fight would be over.
Its bad enough as it is now but without swifness then u would really need to get sw but then again if u need to take sw for speed then go with the signete, and if u go with the signete then u need to spec into spite and take a power amulet.

Off hand dagger is a weapon, so i compare why take wh over dagger.
I dont count focus , like i explain its too slow.
I know u have spectral walk, but i wrote off hand dagger is actually nice, its not bad.
But the reason wh is better for me,its because of mobility.
Its like saying lexus is bad and ferrari is good the 2 are good.
Oh dagger is good i like it, but i prefer to take wh because of mobility.
Do u want to sacrifice 1 utility slot for spectral walk its ok nps i also like sw, but atm i think there is better than sw utilitys to take.

I believe players dont take dagger not because its bad or because of the lack of life force, but because wh gives mobility.
There is some skills that are almost beeing taken because of the utility.
Spectral armor , wurm, cb,suffer,rise,plague signete, double wells maybe.
The thing is,here is not much space to take sw.
Traveler runes also they r not optimal.
Life force from wh is nice but the condi tranfer from dagger is also nice… so u need to choose whats the best for the given situation.

I join solo most of the time, but because of some duo que some times i get vs a 4 men team , not really fair.
They should make so that if u duo que , then u can max meet some one triple quing , or if you 4 men que then u can meet some 5 men que.
But never a 2 men team should meet a 5 men team , never.

I dont want to sound rude or anything …but , for the gs to be viable (in pvp at least) it needs to hit much faster, cause atm u just cant hit any 1 because of the short range and how slow it is.
Second: i belive some swifness or teleport is needed , cause most likely u dont want to lose staff.

U get life force from marks , from aa from staff, from spectral armor, from septer and dagger main hand, from deaths and minions if u use them ,but mobility u have no othet way to get swifness apart from wh.
So the main reason imo its really the mobility.

Im not gonna lie , when i see the other team is heavy on condi i do take dagger (rarely i must add) but then i use traveler runes because u really need to rotate.
Its all about rotation this game.

Hes right actually i won like 14- 16 games in a row got to ruby then i had to log out cause i spend more time in ques than actual playing almost.
Im talking 7- 9 minutes in peack time.

Off hand dagger its actually nice and the problem its not the life force, but the mobility.
I believe staff is a must for any build.
Then ofcourse i dont count gs cause that suks, and thats why i only see a necro with a gs once every 5 days or so.
So u can have focus warhorn or dagger for off hand, again focus is too bad cause of the very long casting times, that leaves u with wh or dagger, if u pick dagger u are always gonna be late rotating , u can pick traits for 25 percent speed in bm, but im talking optimal builds.
So players pick wh because of mobility thats the main reason, the signet is not bad , but u need specif build for that.

What is funny is that most classes can apply more presssure with condies than the necro.
Yes necro apply long condi but its all about spike because of the sustain some classes have.
I think warriors apply too much pressure with condies and can have resistance for very long time. I think anet needs to nerf less and buff less .

I think players shoulnt be able to rerrol , then yes anet could make sure that there isnt more than 2 equal classes per team.
But then again ,the que times would go up, and i have already 7- 9 minutes ques.
I think the most important is to create macthes with players of the same skill lvl.

Pvp should focus on pvp .

Ok this skill is really annoying with 0 counterplay .
I dont get why is mesmer not beeing look at?
They have the 2 best skills in the game, moa counters all transformations, and also kills all minions from necro if im not mistaken.
This skill is really op and decides team fights its like you r a siting duck for 10 seconds and there is notbing u can do.
Im not even talking about beeing able to use moa twice thats just crazy.
I just dont get why it takes so long to nerf op specs or amulets or skills, it really takes forever for them to see this?
How long took them to nerf turrets? Or automated response or diamond skin? Players make treads after treads and even complained even before the changes but i think they just dont listen.
Ok i remember they wanted to add perplex runes to pvp , but after we complained then they decided not to add them. But that was the only time i can remember that they listen the comunity in time.

The problem here is that every one wants to run the same skill or build call it wtv, and do well in 1v1 and team fights and have all the sustain at the same time also.

Lets talk about reapers atm , this class performs better in team fights imo, i always run a build to help team fights , so when im 1v1 a thief for example i shouldnt just win easy ( usually i do cause 90 percent cant play thief) but when i face a proper thief like sindrener or sizer or red levin its almost impossible to win because they dont just eat aoe and desingage if they need to .
U need to look at your build also and see against what classes u r up against then think what to do .
Reapers are not weak imo but having no invuls or blocks and now losing the chill damage hurts the class.
So less burst now, i see it as a big nerf to the class, and i need to adjust my build over this change .

I would like to suggest adding 2 stacks torment to chill damage insted of 1 bleed.

I agree with this, i also think its way too long the season . Players get to legendary in 2-3 weeks.
Then what? Need to wait another 6 weeks for the rest of the players to reach it also ?
Season should be 1 month and thats it.
Insted of 4 season we could get like 6-7 seasons maybe ?

thieves are fine , problem is they just need more skill to play , i play vs very good thieves that never die, or almost never, (there is only 4- 6 thieves like that)
but all the others insta die all the time , cause they dont know when to leave a fight, they jump in the aoe and die also . If you play good , a thief really is very nice to have with all the mobility an dnice dps , fast decap s + 1 etc etc , but its super rare to find a good thief .
im not gonna lie and say playing thief its easy, but if you can play one then thief is fine , thief cannot afford to do so many mistakes like the other classes thats why we notice a bad thief much faster.
And ofc they perma die and then they come to the forum and cry, do you see any top players that play thief crying? i could name 6 players that play thief and never die in macthes so yes its a l2p issue.

just had 2 games in a row with 2 thieves, in each game , 500-50 500-90
they spent whole game insta dying im serious, they died every 30 seconds more or less, the two of them.
its just impossible to play like this.
then ofc they come to the forum and ask for buffs , when in reality they just bad , was so upset i stoped playing .

do you think u are stuck in a lower division at this stage because u get bad players in your team and they have esl players?
any decent player got to legendary a few weeks ago already, if u are stuck in lower divisions at this stage , if because u deserve to be there its really that simple.
The fact that u won a 1 vs 1 vs a player a few divisions back proves nothing, maybe your build counter his, maybe he was a support class, maybe he had no cds.
I dont know , what i do know is that every player crying that his stuck in div 3-4-5 its because they deserve to be there, only below average players are there , so if u really that good , then you would make a diference and u would win , but since u are stuck , i can only tell you to get good and stop crying , its embarrassing at this stage crying about being stuck in lower divisions.

1.- dont alow class swaping ( like this u could prevent class staking, by not putting more than 2 of the same class at start of tge game.
2.- try to find a way to join pvp while playing pve or www.

3.- add a resign feature if all 5 players agree /resign then the game should end.

4.- verbal abuse specially for no reason should be punish automaticly, if u curse and some one reports u the game should be able to see what u wrote and give u a 15 minutes dishonor (reason for this is because i get a lot of insults for no reason and its hard to focus on the game while typing or replying trying to explain some decision that i did about rotating or calling some target or not stomping and cleaved insted)

5.- add template builds like in gw1 this one is long overdue that i not even need to explain why we all want and need.

Its hard for me to see what happen , with out more details.
sometimes u get a player (not saying its u) that just afks at close while u can see that there are 3 mid and 2 far on the minimap ,yet u stood at close , then the game snowballs, and its almost impossible to come back when u are all solo players.
sometimes cap close and your team wins mid, then all 4 go far to die insted of reenforce close and mid, or when u lose mid over some 1 going svanir at start and u know your team really needs u at mid.
what im trying to say is , when u have (example) 2 thievs and a warrior vs comps like ranger + ele + necro and u have no caps and the score is 400+ to 200+ the game is lost and the only thing to do is stay at close " defending close" maybe u couldnt see it was lost ,but some more experienced player could see it was lost already long time ago.
im sorry dude but some times u just cant win or because of team comp or because of bad players.
in gw1 there was a resign feature so was ok.
just hold in there and keep playing, if u are good enough u will win and u win pass division. U will understand what im saying if u dont get it now.

i did all divisions up to legendary, solo and with the core spec.
if u cant or are stuck in some division its just a l2p issue.

This mistake just hapen to me 2 times in a row first time i said ok kitten it , i not even gonna say anything, and then next game another guy does the same mistake was a warrior btw, i was already not happy with him bringing a warrior but when i see him going to chief i tried to tell bim go mid, no point losing mid over 25 points.
but he just dint care and we lost mid, and yes i was so upset getting this crap 2 times in a row that i insta akitten.
So maybe something similar happen with the op .

Same here, guy dcs 1 minute into the game and we all lost a pip we were all solo q.
this was like 4 hours ago or so.

If u are bunking home whole game then yes you are bad.
any player with half brain would ignore u and play the other 2 points.

Ok i have several sreen shots but im not gonna bother posting it unless necessary.
i just want to say that this macth making is the worse ever.
I get put vs full premades while we r all solo, we lose 500-10 and such
then there is this players that decide to afk at point the whole game while we lose the other 2 points, others double capp, or they go on a 5 minute chase across the map to kill a thief.
its a very bad experience atm this macth making.
im not even talking about balance or teams abusing macth making joining with amber players, no its just players with really 0 clue i mean really 0 clue, joining and beeing put in a team, or vs other players that have a much much better grasp of pvp.
even tho im only a few pips short from diamond division, some games im force to afk cause its really impossile to win such games.
my last game was hilarious.
i got home and went mid , we got mid , and some one says i should have stayed close and then svanir.
WHAT??? I went close again and won the few 1vs1 i had. But some guys really with no clue just keep trying to sound good giving so bad advise that is so hard even to keep playing.
STOP AFK AT POINT thats very bad play, STOP GOING SVANIR WHILE WE LOSE MID, 25 points its not worth it at start of a game to lose mid.
Some times i see 2 or 3 players staying untill they stomp the last player, learn to leave the fights eirlier.
Anet really needs to work on this macth making.
