Yeah, it seems like a staffer could maybe come into one of these threads and tell everyone how it’s supposed to work, so we don’t wonder.
so ontop of the NPC’s mocking us with comments of “How much longer do we have to wait” every 3 minutes, I noticed 2 anet staffers sitting there in the map waiting as well. I cant tell if they are there to laugh at all us sitting there complaining and being mocked by the npc’s or if they truly don’t know whats going on either. my moneys is on the laughing… but that’s just my 2 cents…
anyways, there is absolutely no reason we should not have comms on this. Ive seen gaile and Co. respond to lesser things then this.
Prob wanting to see what if there is genuine fuss in game or not more than likely.
No because it’s not a glider I like at all
Ty
They did discover nachos, but they prefer to wear them over their head as a symbol of rank rather than eat them. New cheese and onion flavour ones were added only a week ago.
Crazy these Charr chefs
It could be, but the signs are more pointing to Primordus, since he has been mentioned, the first wp is literaly over the Central Transfer CHamber he was in when we first encountered him in GW1 before he moved on and the NPC unlocks a collection specific to Primordus.
Would be quite odd if it then turned out to be Kralkatorrik or Bubbles..
You wont need to do the HoT ones for the xp to kick back in in Tyria.
Same if you finished all the HoT masteries – you wouldn’t need to do the Tyria ones for xp to kick back in in HoT maps
Does anybody else think that this might be a Season 3 long achievement? People keep calling it an “event”, but after all, it is more of a personal quest tied to an achievement. People can do it individually when they choose, and there is no orange indicators on the map.
My thought is that Seis will move when the next episode of Season 3 releases. I think tracking these tremors may be part of the story leading up to the main focus of the next expansion (or next Living World Season). Whether it is Primordus, Jormag, Lazarus, or something else; it may set the stage and location of the next content.
I suspect it will move next week or next current event patch (bi weekly). Waiting til next episode will just diminish the interest and hopefully they have learned not to drag content out after they said they wouldn’t do it with the main story anymore.
Rather than creating suspense though, this is just annoying some of the community now. These are meant to laid back intervals to keep us going, not sure they are fulling achieving their goal atm judging by in game chatter..
Just so ppl are aware, she did not move with todays reset either.
Still really don’t know why we can’t get confirmation of rotation to whether there is a bug.
I think you may also get xp for repeating. It looked like that when I tried anyway
There’s a way to make `/wiki` open in the in-game browser? That command just opens a new Chrome tab for me.

Why no jumping puzzles in Bloodstone Fen? Probably because of Heart of Thorns. There was a lot of backlash on the forums because of jumping puzzles almost everywhere on all four maps in some form or another. While I didn’t mind them, more than a few people here and elsewhere did. And they were more than vocal about it.
Thus, you’re not seeing one in the general sense in Bloodstone . . . if I had to guess.
Bloodstone Fen got nuked. It would be astounding if there were a chest at the end of a puzzle in a bloodstone wasteland.
Paper journals survived!
They were laminated.
Understood!
Wait, the birthday thing is character age and not account age?
Yes. Since GW1 it has always been based on each character. So if you delete your first toon, that can set you back
Sucks for me I guess…i’ve been here since launch but I don’t have any characters that old due to a lot of rerolling.
This topic also comes up every year. It took you 4 years to notice? O_o
Yea, I always thought they were account related. Why the hell would they be tied to a character?
Because each character gets an individual present. It made more sense in GW1 because getting minis was largely done via the birthday loot tables. The tradition has just carried through to GW2.

That Vista in Tarir seems like a JP. The one where the egg is?
Correct. There are two in Auric, the other needs leyline gliding to complete
There is at least one in Tangled Depths too involving some mushrooms. I fell off at the final jump much to my immense pleasure………
OP, the silverwastes JP was a hit. In fact the praise was glowing when it first was released into the game.

Would be unusual to get another patch next week.
Maybe the week after then. Either way I think this event implementation is bordering on unusual as it currently stands
Looks like it could be weekly. The patch notes said “tremors in the north” which cryptically could refer to Earthshake Waypoint in FG. I expect another patch notes next week could refer to the next location.
So i assume we are working on weekly as the rotation? I guess the notes specifying Tremors in the North mean she is in FG until the notes update next week or e en the following Tuesday.
I hope if it is that long, ppl can still do frostgorge to start the achievement
That’s what I’m hoping for as well, to pick another next year
That would be fine. Be a shame to wait a year to know though
Yeah I made this before the others, but I left it to die when others popped up. Not sure why you bumped tbh, it was buried.
Either way I’ve self-reported this thread for closure to avoid duplications

I would post it as a bug in the forums or a ticket. Myself and others in the guild have had no issues with the 64bit client today. I was rolled back.
I think we should all get 800 gems compensation. I had to redo this annoying frostgorge sound stuff, lost pips because my winstreak was deleted and more.
Then you think wrong. Kitten happens. These types of events as uncommon as they are, are an occurrence that can be expected to occasionally happen in MMOs. Learn to cope; you aren’t owed anything beyond the apology they’ve already given.

Such huge bugs should not happen if Anet would have proper test servers and QA. These easy to find but gamebreaking bugs are unacceptable to me even if it would be once in a lifetime.
Even games with extensive testting and QA have game breaking bugs when they go to live. There are some things you can never account for when you switch from test to live. That is how games are.
I was always confused why players insisted on sitting in a map and then complain about it. They did this during the last update as well when it was known that the champs were on a timer and could easily be checked if you had the item in your inventory. If players choose to sit in a map over doing other things, it’s entirely on them.
I’m pretty sure that the timer intervals would not be random. If it were two hours then players could do the first map and check back in 90 minutes. If the NPC hasn’t moved then check back in an hour. If it still hasn’t move then they can check back in two hours or assume it is daily.
It’s a psychological thing. When in doubt wait it out, has long been a player driven philosophy in MMO’s, partly due to the old spawn camping days and partly because when they see a few ppl gather, they start to gather themselves thinking something is imminent. It may seem foolish, but it is how it is.
So whilst it is in part a player problem it also guided by poor game design. You are right that the previous event had some guidance as to when something would appear, but this event pretty much indicates you can go straight to the next map and continue on. There is no indication that there should be waiting around for an NPC.
This is the 3rd round of events feedback has been given about waiting times on events or at least improving the clarity of the information provided. They listened earlier on with the current events, but they’ve reverted back recently.
If it is a daily spawn, as silly as I think that is for this kind of event, at least have the NPC say “tomorrow I will move onto Snowdon – meet me there to continue the sensor sweeps” or something. Clear. Precise. No misunderstandings. No spawn campings.
It was a bug that crept in unexpectedly. Hardly a mistake
Thanks for the heads up. Seemed only natural and obvious to believe it was one choice per toon, seems crazy to perma lock you out of the others unless they intend to make the other packs obtainable another way.
Glad I saved my choice now!

Indeed, the rollback re-patched the client so it’s still “day one”
No amount of testing will catch bugs slipping through from test to live. They could triple the testing time and it still could have happened.
It’s a video game, we will all get over it. Kudos for their communication though – seen this happen before in other MMO’s and little to no idea what was going on.
I agree waiting around is just pointless, hence why I’m finishing off the earlier snowdon current event achievements.
What I don’t understand is why any waiting around is necessary at all as part of the design. It doesn’t really matter if ppl finish off the content quickly – in this day and age devs should be aware of a different gaming mentality where players are less patient than yesteryear and should adapt accordingly. There has been far greater calls recently to feedback about wanting less artificial gating, especially in these events.
Hope fully they have learned from the last 2 events now and make it a more organic playing experience. Spawn camping has no place in a progressive MMO like GW2 imo.
On the plus side, I like the overall theme behind the event and the rewards associated with completing
You will prob only lose it if you raided after they laid the patch down into the game.
The servers couldn’t handle the Destroyer Scythe finally going into the live game!
Headshot BOOM
They need Dennis Nedry

Back to watching more Wrestling…I’ve only watched 12 hours this week…
Just to pre-warn, looks like atm there is quite a bit of waiting around on this event as well. After the first area is done, the NPC hasn’t spawned in the next area. Whether it’s an intended long spawn rotation I don’t know, but just a heads up.
“Tremors in the North” also appear to be a cryptic clue for the first waypoint you go to. Or at least the waypoint the NPC is currently at, since it appears she may move.
Said location also makes sense when you follow through the achievement
I think they went with the cryptic route. The NPC is called Seis. The clue is Tremors in the North.
From there you can kinda work out the name of the waypoint you start at.

I believe s4 is the final season of 2016, but it wont be the last opportunity to finish your backpack. Each year a new backpack will be introduced as part of that seasons meta etc. You will however be able to complete the previous backpack.
Whether you can finish the old one and also complete the new one I am unsure – there are various dev comments about it if you do some googling
They are essentially identical. Back in the early days you could get skins and weapon drops from different sources. If my memory serves me correctly, the weapon pre-skinned staff dropped from BL chests during the first halloween and the skin was a halloween lottery item from an NPC for a very limited time a year or 2 later.
For all intents and purposes they are the same thing though
To be honest, what does it matter? How other ppl get their gear or if they pay for their progression is utterly irrelevant. More power to them if a player chooses to spend their money to progress.
Whether a P2W label is accurate or not, they key thing is that beyond dlcs and expacs, the game does not force p2w to stay competitive or to as the only means to an end. It doesn’t improve your skill and it doesn’t let you skip content.
So yeah it might have some slight P2W elements depending on how you want to define p2w, but it isn’t implemented to the detriment of the game
Could you get them from dailies in the first year? Thought they were gem store/bl chest only at first and were added to dailies during one of the later daily revamps a couple of years later
Hmm looks like Divinity’s Reach, which doesn’t narrow it down much
Ah that’s a shame to hear anyone from the sound dept leaving. The music from LS1 onwards has on the whole been excellent.
Image says all
It doesn’t I’m afraid, can you elaborate?
There was an update a while ago from the team which may or may not be helpful
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Megaservers-8/first#post6019618
Secret World is survival horror, I wouldnt say GW2 really crosses too heavily into that. What it has in zombies, crazies and corruptions it lacks in the atmosphere needed to jump into that genre. I suspect that is deliberate to ground the genre in fantasy.
Lets not forget GW1 prob strayed closer with the Afflicted in Factions, so some horror crossover precedent exists in the franchise.
Unending Ocean is a name not a description. Although the fact it loops round the entire planet prob lends credence to the name
There might be something players have done that causes the mysterious ghostly Anomalys. I think it may be based on something to do with events in Bloodstone Fen. Please anwser the following questions, even if the answer is no to all of them.
Have you seen a apparation? If so describe it.
Have you completed the S3 Chapter 1 Living world?
Have you done events in Bloodstone Fen? If so, about how much.
Have you raided?
Hopefully we will see a correlation. I will try to graph it and post the anwsers.
Edit: incorrect info
It might be quicker just to see if anyone w/o HoT has seen them. If those w/o HoT are seeing them, there’s is no correlation with anything and it affects all players w/o prejudice
I think you are underestimating the prestige of “Honorary Skritt”
Not Shiney. Has to at least be shiney.
ohhh
Adept Toymaker then
Or maybe Closer to the Stars. Stars shiney..yes
