I think it’s a good idea. The devs said they’d pretty much were only ever concentrate on the main storyline, but if they ever changed their minds and felt they could add in side stories, this would be a good way to do it.

Shield for Guardian.

I assume you mean re-working the current guardian shield to be more like a proper shield in use?

Commonly requested is spear taken for land use and then made for a paragon-like class. That could be interesting for a Guardian

Focus perhaps for Rev to be closer to a Ritualist

Shortbow for ele. I have no reason other than the legendary compliments my ele’s look. Seems like a good enough reason to me..

It’s not even the supplies. It’s making the people stay at camps in small groups, so all of the camps are covered (instead of letting them zerg in only few spots which leaves most of the map undefended).

Indeed. It’s a situation where commanders are both necessary and a hindrance at times. Without them, people view it as disorganised. With them, players clump up round them like moths to a flame. Often the successful runs have mentors/comms at most camps to keep the spread of people.

In a world where we’ve seen a dragon’s mouth can be a separate entity from the dragon, (see Mouth of Zhaitan) I wouldn’t call a mouth the dragon itself. It’s a curious choice of words if it is the dragon. Why not call it the head of Mordremoth, or simply Mordremoth? Perhaps then the fight in the dream should have been called the mind of Mordremoth. Thoughts?

Mouth is more accurate than head simply because it’s main feature/purpose is to “feed” on leyline energy. Mouth describes that function better. They don’t call it Mordremoth because the entity is so widespread, that destroying an appendage like the mouth, hinders the creature, but does not destroy. It appears to have evolved to become a creature of the mind, hence why it can re-grow from mentally seeding corruption in Trahearne.

Mordremoth is so far the most unique dragon encountered, since it doesn’t fit what we believe to be a conventional form. It’s not always easy to grasp how something can be so alien. To me, that makes Mordremoth much more interesting and why such an abrupt ending to the saga was anti climatic to me.

i have NEVER seen anyone with the aetherized weapons , and they’re never on the TP.
also until Anet decided to give them out for rares in the mystic toilet the 2012 halloween skins were really rare to see.

They were just re-released, so they are now extremely cheap on the tp. SHould start seeing more going forward for a bit.

It is a massive undertaking to link armours, weapons, traits, wardrobes, runes, sigils, the ui, inventory and other necs systems to make rhis work a ross all game modes. Plus there is ongoing debate what it should or should not include.

It is highly desired and the devs have expressed interest, but it is not a quick and easy addition. I do think it needs priority though as a feature

Final Legendary Weapon Recipe

If you have the precursor that is it done, there is no recipe to learn for the legendary itself. That process is something independent from the legendary journey

The next steps are long and complex, so i would advise using the wiki to follow what you need to do now.

If i have misunderstood your question, i may need further elaboration.

many many people do VB. in addition to the meta end reward, you can also buy bladed armor boxes for 500 airship parts and 1g. It may sound like a lot but if you play the events a lot you get plenty of airship parts from the rewards and cargo boxes

EDIT to add: you buy the armor boxes from mastery vendors

Aye but not the vestaments do they? Unless that changed with patch?

As far as i could work out, it is a physical extension of him, much like the vines which grow from him or perhaps more so since it appears to be more the core part of his body which would act as a biological mouth.

Whatever he fully looks like could prob never fully be mapped since he is so integrally part of the jungle and has so many extensions of himself.

God, the hydra. Ugh.

I’d love to see an epic fight between GW1 dinos and GW2 saurians, as long as I can watch from a safe distance and not be murdered in the face by them.

Wasn’t there a boss T-Rex in the Charr homelands? I vaguely remember something massively unpleasant there in hard mode and it being large and dino shaped…

Hall of Monuments weapons seem surprisingly rare. The Gnarled Walking Stick and Fiery Dragon Sword aren’t super rare, but I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a Wayward Wand in-person.

You basically need a combination of a person who played GW1 pretty heavily (and, therefore, probably played GW2 from the start,) and hasn’t replaced it with another skin they like more since then.

Yeah they aren’t as spectacular as later additions to the game so are largely underused. Although I do use the axe on my necro since it fits perfectly in style and colour. And the hammer I use on my revenant because..well it’s free to transmute with and I can’t afford the skin I want atm…..

I’ve seen Infinite Light a lot over the years, although it is reasonably rare and not as common these days now legendaries are so common. Same with Mjolnir. I almost never see the newer ones probably due to the tiny drop rate. I also didn’t realise how many new, unique skins for weapons are hidden away in rng boxes in HoT

eg Great Capra, Berserkers Ebb (screenshot below), Berserkers Flow, Mordrem, Seer, Velocitas Eradico, Kingmaker, Dandy Bluster and Arkhalos

I’ve also only ever seen the Wurm rifle once. But, it is hideous so that’s no surprise…

Really enjoyed those events. I was a bit bemused by the Mastery XP rewards automatically applying to my already maxed XP line. Would have been nice to be able to stash those to use against (presumed) new masteries in the future but I guess in Central Tyria we’re never short of XP.

But, yes. Nice surprise. More please!

I was hoping to stash mine also as I’m mastery locked now in Tyria. But no, it was automatically applied, and therefore it was a worthless reward for me.

Anet already confirmed they are not adding new central tyria lines, like ever. This reward was to give new/slow players a nice buff to help them out.

This is just a small lore/fluff event, it isn’t supposed to pay out amazing rewards.

When did they state no more core masteries ever?

As highly unlikely as it is, we don’t know they haven’t restarted that either. It’s very much the new norm to work on things and release as a surprise. Now Q2 is done, which was pretty hefty and bigger than any of us expected, there may be work going on it.

I think we need to get used to pleasant surprises now. Remember 1 month before the Shatterer blog they openly said no plans were in place to change or improve the fight.

It’s a cool suggestion. But, sorry, we’re not working on a key ring. We’ve got a full plate with other development, and as I said above, my priority is for us to do a great job on the things we’re already tackling.

True but the quote is over 2 months old, when they pulled everyone onto the quarterly update. It may still apply, or they may have added it into the schedule since.

It is clear this is all leading to LS3 and beyond as part of the fallout of killing two dragons. Magic I guess is starting to become unbalanced and flowing out and being absorbed by other beings, increasing things in power.

Tequatl was the start of this, as grew in strength absorbing some of Zhaitans magic.

The egg has also absorbed a great line of power

Shatterer appears to have grown in power because of it.

We are possibly leading up to either an elder dragon absorbing much more than it naturally would or something else appearing…
Perhaps other races will exploit this, maybe the Jotun will find a way to absorb power to return to their former glory.

What class you like to see in later DLCs?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Randulf.7614

I doubt we will get dervishes again since they are tied to human Gods and the game could not get away with Charr dervishes for example. I also dont think we will ever see new weapon types, since a scythe for example would have to be introduced for multiple classes to be viable enough for resources to be given over, plus extra work needed to pull out a ton of skins to bring it up to speed.

They could find a way to emulate it on a Revenant which has some similarities. Or perhaps necro which is the closest light armoured class.

Paragon with spear and shield seems like a sure fire call at some point though. Id guess guardian would have that elite.

No Dulfy isn’t required, but that’s where the comms came from and how many knew about it. The side note in the patch notes was nothing. No indication of anything.
The item also appears to painfully rare, so it’s going to be an obvious in game discover.

Maybe I’m just astonishingly lucky but it dropped on the third mob for me. Go kill a few Svanirs and then tell me it’s a painfully rare drop.

I get that you want to be a hater but, really, there are better things to hate on than a little side event that may well turn out to just be a teaser for LS3.

Been killing svanirs/icebrood for over an hour.

I’m not being a hater at all and my post is very, very clear about that – I think it’s great little stuff gets added.. I just want to know when new stuff is added via Anet themselves. That is extremely reasonable feedback. If it’s a teaser for LS3, then that makes it more important to know about it.

No Dulfy required, unless you are impatient. The patch notes hinted cryptically at something but in normal play you will kill something that drops a new item. The description on that item tells you who might be interested in it and that NPC points you to the rest of the events. Just play the game.

It references a starter quest in GW1. When you first begin the game, you meet the young girl, Gwen in Ascalon which is a rich and beautiful zone. Then comes the Charr invasion and the Searing and Gwen is captured by Charr. One of the quests has you end up finding her flute, broken and symbolising what was once a peaceful, fertile land, destroyed by the invading Charr army.

The Black Citadel is built over the ruins of of the City of Rin, Capital City of Ascalon, which is visible in the first of the ops pic
