What level is your ele?
If you are level 80, you can re-learn all the traitlines again under the Train tab. Then go to the builds bit to find the traits you want to select. You will auto have enough hero points to re-gain everything at level 80.
if you are under level 80, you will have to gain more hero points (skill challenges) to unlock what you had before. The system has unsuccessfully been unlocking what it thinks is close to your original build, but instead is giving incorrect traitlines.
You will also need to re-purchase skills. Again if you lack hero points, you will need to go out and earn more
Worth studying the patchnotes for a better explanation

If you mean the Troll JP, yes it has changed to a new JP
Heart of Thorns subforum has many threads on this subject already for your reference
Good to see the traditions of GW1 being upheld!
It’s been discussed a thousand times, but the upshot to our knowledge is to do with clipping issues across different races.
Judging by the horrendous clipping on the wings…I figure we’re very long way off from getting there
Wasn’t a huge fan, but it is nice to see less flashy skins. The GS though I really like
forum bug, un bugging
Don’t you think that’s diminishing both the achievements of larger guilds who have the manpower for a truly epic fight and the efforts of smaller guilds to work up the alliances they need to make a coalition attempt at the claiming? Both of those make for a great story. “I badgered the devs until they scrapped the stakes-claiming mission idea so all I needed to get my own personal Queensdale was some gold” is not a great story. It’s an awful story. I don’t want to tell that story.
I would find it a worse story to have a group of non guild members help complete a guild challenge – again it could come down to “all we needed was gold to pay off some people to do it for us”. That seems to be the design intention though. It’s a great option to fall back on, but should not be the reliable option for small guilds. We suggested a long time ago any attempt to obtain a Guild Hall should always be scaleable to ensure fairness to all sizes. Hopefully that feedback has been taken on board.

unbreaking forum bug
Yeah I was one of the people after Guild missions and during the CDI who campaigned for ensuring guild halls were easily accessible for all. Guild missions sadly locked so many of us out
If it scales from a normal party size upwards, that would prob help most guilds.
Good news that we can use ppl from outside of the guild, atlhough that takes it away from the guild’s accomplishment if more than twice the number of ppl aren’t guildies and will reinforce the need to ensure a small minimum size.
It’s been brought up a few times since yesterday

Any indication on group size required for capture mission?
Will they have to be in the guild to help?

It might help to assign colours to each specialisation. It’s quite clear on th ele, due to colour matching, whereas on thief, everything is red
I like collecting things through exploration. I absolutely loved finding the coins in DT and SW. I hope to see more of this
Flameseeker prophecies is my favorite shame no one can really use it
Both my warr and guard would have used it, however i found the jade dragon skin and brahams shield a far better match thematically for those toons
Moot is one of my favs, although less so when they added the cartoony floaty ribbons.
Possibly Kraitkin is my favourite. Tridents are under-loved and this is spectacular in comparison.
Yeah its been reported as a bug
I suppose you’re a fan of the styrofoam brick animations they used to be?
Well I did buy them so…. Yes. I prefer the holographic dragon wings animation but I bought the previous physics.
Which is a fair point and constructive feedback is good for them to improve them. Just bear in mind the backlash on the old physics was what got them changed to how it is.
I remember the old dervish change. It was horrible, i wanted to ditch my derv after the years spent on him.
Then i actually played around with what they offered and i ended up with a massively superior, far more fun to play character. Took a while admittedly, but it wasnt game over.
The same happened with Lotro. Again, wasnt happy with the complete overhaul couple of years ago, but you learn to adjust and adapt the tools once more.
Frankly i didnt look at the GW2 changes before, knowing Id just accept what was on offer. Sure the changes lack the original synergy and specialisations have no real definition on some classes, but ive not had any toon destroyed. A couple have even improved.
Yes i think they are a huge improvement
I’m not reporting a bug. I’m telling people to drive the prices down while they still can.
Galant set is a waste of tickets.
For you. I happen to like a couple of the gallant weapons
Did the OP get deleted? I feel like I’m missing something. New skins are 1 ticket, no BLTC skins are ever lower than 1 ticket.
Patch notes have them return to 5 tickets, which I believe other cities list them at apart from LA
Great to see a known issues thread especially with follow up explanations. Exactly the sort of communication we have long asked for
I am surprised you didnt expect world bosses to be trivialised, but good to see you are on top of the issue
I’d generally suggest about anyone disappointed with the removal of all bones / rigs of the original wing pieces, making them behave like broken floppy foam, to request a refund for their gems spent. It’s a completely ridiculous change you won’t have to take. I have yet to find anyone that wants them this ridiculously floppy and ugly.
You just found one person
Never liked the old lions arch, very glad to see this massively improved version.
Differing opinions aside though, what are these several cities that look the same? Black Citadel, Rata Sum and Hoelbrak def not. Divinitys Reach and Pale Tree share some tiny similarities, but otherwise LA is pretty unique in the game
If you are level 80, you can unlock every skill and trait. As stated by the devs and also Ive tested it in game with a char with very only 6 skill points capped. I still had plenty to spare.
Just click on everything and it will be fine
It needs cleaning up across the board. S showing in the left hand panel what specialisations are already equipped so you can quick reference
Also, someone in my guild pointed out that the specialisations are fairly meaningless without an overview of what each is trying to achieve. The Warrior is a good case in point since there is no obvious synergy there
Anyone noticed teq or wurm being easier?
My stats in tanking for a warr have gone up, with health going from 32k to 35k. Cant comment on shouts, but the main drop to me is the banner regen being in an otherwise useless trait line to me, so i ditched it. In fact most of the warr trait lines seem a bit jumbled and lack thematics
Otherwise he is in a very good place tank wise
They are an improvement on the cardboard wings we had before
In case anyone missed it whilst distratced by the patch. Looks like its a very limited appearance
Ah ive def never noticed it before. Its def noticeable now, but not in an intrusive way.
Anyone notice a change to the elemental backpacks post-patch? The flame one (sun catcher) has a green/rainbow tint to the flame now. Have the other designs been affected? It’s quite subtle
Then order it? The base game is a free additional, so you will get the expac and they are giving an extra char slot now. You aren’t paying extra, so no issue really
They have also stated all expacs will be offering core and previous expacs for free going forward, so this is very much engrained into their business model going forward.
It wasn’t designed to be repeated. That’s why you don’t get to play it. It was a flaw many saw coming.
This thread pops up every week and it really boils down to it being so different and tied to festivals/dungeons/instances that no longer exist, they’d have to re-do it all – a huge amount of work. The Battle for Lions Arch and Tower of Nightmares were amazing at the time, but that LA nor the Tower exists any more. It would need to be -redesigned in a new instance for s much much smaller group, rather than a full coordinated map

You can’t bump threads I’m afraid. If you have’t heard after 3 days, then you make a thread in the support forum.
Bear in mind hey are going to be swamped after the announcement yesterday
They do not give patch times
I think this is common practice amongst game companies.
Price differentation is indeed consistent with many games companies. As it was with GW2 at launch
That makes no sense. If you want to stat change a rare item, then you want to make it as cheap and easy as possible
The easiest solution would be the full package, which then unlocks all or some of the chapters. Sure you could end up buying more than needed which is something the gifter would accept, but in theory, most ppl gifting would be buying for newer players anyway.
Partly because it’s less personal and partly because if you have the gems already, you can’t gift those (afaik)
Same reason I would almost never give a voucher for someones birthday/Christmas
I support this idea
So just like all pre-purchase schemes then?
It’s exactly what marketing teams are paid to do, promote and push a game ahead of a launch using exclusives. Conan did it, TSW did and does it, Lotro does it, Diablo 3 did it. The list goes on.
As a “day 1 veteran” (which is meaningless anyway), I have not felt misled at any point on this.
(edited by Randulf.7614)
I do understand that it would be a massive amount of work, don’t get me wrong. But if like any company with a reasonable team does, they back up data. Everything should still all be there, just saved in some backlog in case of emergencies.
And if I can’t get Season One.. at least let me have my bunny ears. So all the two+ year players will stop taunting me with them…
The problem is that a LOT of the season 1 content was happening out in the open world not in instances, so a pure backup restore would simply not work, they would have to convert it all to instances and stuff, and that would take a HUGE amount of work
This
You are right about it being confusing without it though. S2 needs a birdge for new players and right now its a mess.
edit: mods, I accidentally hit report instead of reply and typed this response in there…I’m sure you will work out I hit the wrong button though
That would take a massive amount of work and resources. If they haven’t started it, it would take longer longer than the potential time gap for HoT, even if they weren’t working on the expac.
Should S1 exist? of course, absolutely – we’ve been saying this in some form or another since its inception. Will it come before HoT even as a sweetner? No, I can’t see how unless work on it has been done in silence in the background.
Content being walled off because a person wasn’t playing or didn’t even know the game existed at the time these items were available isn’t all that nice either.
The jetpack is on the trading post. Just buy it. You’re not “walled off” from anything.
it is not
0 supply
Fairly certain there is 1 only for 3.3k
Haven’t really read about them, but I’m hoping it’ll spruce my ele up. In solo Im play im very happy, in group play he just isn’t doing it for me sadly
Well +2 slots is even more value. And that’s a great deal of money to invest on slots if that’s mostly what you wanted as opposed to just buying the normal + a slot
You would need to contact support if you want a reversal/downgrade
I think it should be a rare drop from the molten facility boss fractal
