Put it in an invisible bag. They dont show inventory to vendors
It does make sense. Its doable now with inventory open and this would be a great wol feature without any balancing issues resulting
Hopefully they are working on changing it back or close to without the exploit. It’s just such a horrible animation now.
Hopefully…

Im guessing you may not have noticed til now. The change didn’t go down very well 2 weeks ago
Just patched, no change whatsoever. Still the same animation they changed it to from the previous patch, sadly

Can you post a vid? I cant get to a pc atm but id heard nothing had changed. Am def interested if there has been a change
Shops do these things make physical space tho or for more operational reasons like supply and return. Having run shops for 20 years, i know id value having infinite storage space..!
Also the examples you list are obsolete items, the removed gem store ones are not obsolete in the same way.
Oh i thought it was a proper separate blog as opposed to the newsflash on the homepage. My bad
As you were…
The offhand issue was def stated to be a bug.
Im hoping the delay is to improve the issue with mainhand animations and roll out simultaneously.
Ill remain forever baffled why an online virtual store removes stock.
Evon has a blog? Im nor against comms going thro such things, but why not add a link to the homepage so ppl know such a thing exists? Ive never heard of it.
Isn’t there a trait that lets eles ignore conditions as long as they have 90% health?
Diamond skin on ele, but it doesnt always work as intended. And if the attack which lays the condition does damage as well and takes you below 90%, then the condition affects you simultaneously.
As for Jormag, there are plenty of counters for the fear spam. It cam be annoying, but it just involves bringing stun breakers and stability and timing the fire shield to his animation. The reason most ppl get affected because they dont use the right skills or ignore the fireshield ( which is still effective without the exploit). That is not The fault of Anets QA.
Yes it is annoying when dungeon groups do that hence why I only dungeon with my guild unless I am desp for tokens (extremely rare). Speed running dungeons in any MMO I find annoying, but GW particularly lacks basic mechanics to prevent it and as such, the culture you decribe applies.
As for MH. I tried. 2, 3 and 4. I really tried. Each time myself and my friend convinced ourselves there must be something about it to make it so popular. But the controls, just so hideous. Just utterly unsuited in every possible way to the game it was tied to. Each to their own though, I long since realised it just isn’t aimed at me and decided to leave it to those who appreciate it, Here in GW2, the ease of play is a breath of fresh air after a long day at work.
I have GW1 and TSW and some other games if I want a more challenging system to play. I think it’s refreshing GW2 has taken the approach that it has. And I don’t think they are yet anywhere near done unlocking its potential either.
Someone already pointed out that the ‘life can be painful’ quote is from Ventaris tablet, so odds are very high to be Revenant related
Some of your points are good, especially the aimless of some events. Some tell amazing stories, some are just too random. And yes, small world bosses seem out of place amongst huge zergs.
I disagree with a lot though. Monster Hunter has an abominable combat system. Utterly unintuitive and every bit the opposite of the fluid, fun system I enjoy here. I also disagree with your dislike for casualness. I find it to be an overwhelming selling point and strength to the game. I understand your sentiment, i just dont think it applies to this game.
I also find the number of skins for weapons and armour huge. The sheer variety of combos i see daily is still something that impresses me daily.
I understand your sentiments on levelling being useless. But that ship has sailed. It isnt worth the resources to change it to be honest 3 years on
Good point on story dungeon. But the speed run issue is something that needs addressing rather than the story itself. Im ambivalent on whether they should be soloable

There is nothing but anecdotal evidence to say it is bleeding players. The game is in a lull til expac as expected, but people will be flocking back for it. Very few games add content whilst a major expac is being worked on, although id prefer to see festivals added. They did say during LW1 so many festivals were added just so it was easy to bring them in when needed.
As for numbers surviving long term neglect…well it does have huge numbers and it isnt in a period of either long term or neglect. It is in a short term period of no additional content. The game will survive just fine im quite sure.
It was aimed exclusively at organised guilds and they complete it regularly. The only way you will get to finish this is to join their groups and teamspeak channel
They also wont see your thanks in this subforum. Best to move it or have it flagged to be moved to the subforum they monitor
You never have to deal with micro transactions. Larger bags exists through the game as crafting, rewards or auction house purchases. Everything you need is in the game.
As for gear, salvage or sell old gear. Once it is equipped, the skin stays in the wardrobe forever
They also changed the axe animation which also had a small effect on dps reduction as well sadly.
The last known official response was no, but that was just after the outfit system changed.
It is an oft requested thing, but no one knows if it is something in the works or whether it is something they can even implement. All you can do, since it is a reasonable enough request is to post feedback on the forums, as you have done and hope for a change.
Personally I think they will keep things separate and leave as it is to avoid further calls for mix and matching, but that is speculation on my part only.
Yep, had no idea and can’t find it in the rules. I’m sure Gaile will flog me Monday morning.
The point of my post was to publicly announce that I was there; playing; and joining in the fun for both sides. YBBL has been asking for some ANet love and it didn’t seem fair to only hang with them.
i expect a youtube video of gaile making an example of you which then makes bbc a week later
Haha yeah i had to double take when i saw that last Anet vid on the BBC
I’m guessing it will now be staying as is, since no additional feedback is being provided to the community.
That was caithe’s dagger I believe
I have always been a fan of rng lockboxes. The TSW ones for example are excellent. I have never not had anything useful from them.
The GW2 ones are very much stacked against you however. There is no reason for a weapon to cost 5 tickets and have such an low drop rate for scraps/tickets. Even when they improved the drop rate, it’s still not high enough imo.
What’s worse is when you have a BL chest, open it, get a specific dye pack, then get a common dye out of it… RNG stacked behind RNG is poor standards imo.
From a business point of view, it makes sense.
As long there is balance when HoT arrives and we have plenty of rewards to aim for, I don’t see a major issue. It’s unbalanced now because there is no content to aim for, but hopefully that will even out.
My only issue with the gem store has been some of the eyebrow raising prices.
The first stress test, they said they deliberately nerfed the bosses and they wouldnt make them the correct difficulty until live. Wyvern and bosses are prob an aspect, but we just havent seen their correct difficulty
I approve the idea of a gallows for Evon
#votegallowsforEvon
I have the opposite problem. I find other MMO’s horrendously clunky. Took me ages to adjust back to Lotro when I tried… The fuidity of the game is something I find attarctive here.
But, it’s all down to experiences/ I’ve probably suffered with clunky games for a long time
I don’t think they are based on Hekets. These new ones are spcifically designed to look like tree frogs, which do look cartoony and ill proportioned in real life
It will never be time for Evon to have another chance.
You can screenshot harrassment and send to support via email as long as it is legitimate harrassment.
Unfortunately, it being the internet, maturity levels will always be very low and RP servers are not viable either due to the very low proportion of RP representatives. Beyond what I suggested above, there isn’t much scope beyond ignoring them (likely very difficult). Turning players off screen is almost certainly a technical impossibility and no something they’d commit resources to implementing a way round.

Must be beta or a US thing. Its been heaving in EU peak time…ive had back to back flawless victory maps most of this week.
Lfg will help you a lot get nto the more populated maps if you are joining the empty ones
Apparently hearts weren’t popular. I stood by and said how much I enjoyed them, if only they were a bit more substantial, but I was a minority. However, as time has passed, I’ve largely come to find them a bit of a clunky addition to maps.
Event maps are where they want to be – Dry Top and SW are prototypes for HoT and even then, evolved from the trial and error of LS1 (Tower, Southson etc)
Do we need some calm and explorable stuff? Yes, something like the Hearts but more fitting to the setting. I suspect these exist, but will not form the core of any betas or previews.
Interesting because some are saying ranger has it the best of all, followed by mesmer, with thief and warrior losing out
Try and keep feedback subjective. It is not “atrocious”, that is the wrong word to describe this in so many ways. I’m not a big fan atm, but it’s a long way from being as bad as described.
Also, why not use one of the 2 existing feedback threads on the front page?
I didnt enjoy it much during the stress test, however one of the issues is not having time to “grow” into the profession and learn it from scratch. I need that grace time personally.
I much preferred the mace and axe combo to hammer tho.
So how soon before we see people trying to make their characters look like Ivy?
I’d be surprised if someone hasn’t already. I would think everything is now there for it.
I suspect the Sclerite Greatsword also lends itself to Nightmare or Siegfried
I created a rev during the first stress test, found it too tricky to start with for a short burst so deleted and remade my ele. So yes, the slot remains active during the whole beta, so u can make/delete to your hearts content
I lost my beta character slot. Was the first beta invite only for one stress test?
Correct
I was about to buy the chain whip, but I’m glad I watched the Dulfy video first. The whip part is virtually non-existant. Certainly not enough to warrant such a high price tag for it.
I’ll mull on it
I would hate for it to be account bound. I find it a really enjoyable experience for each alt.
The only way it could possibly work is to be optional, but are there any mmos which unlock the whole of the map once played through on one toon?
Hopefully we can get some further feedback from Anet about whether further plans for improving this are in the works
Never really used him as a hero. Never found much use for ele’s. However, he was an awesome character. Never really felt like some of the Asurans in GW2 were quite as well done as him, perhaps testament to the voice actor…
What do we do tonight Vekk? Narf
Same thing we do every night Ogden….Try to take over Tyria!
It wasn’t meant to be a nerf to normal Axe use, it was meant to curb the ability to do really weird stuff by animation canceling, which doubled Axe’s effectiveness. I’m not saying it should have been done this way, but it wasn’t meant as a nerf, so let’s stop pretending like this validates the ridiculous notion that ANet hates Necros.
This. Whilst I’m very unhappy with the animation change, lets keep feedback credible and constructive. This isn’t tied to “hating” necros. It was a legitimate reason for change, even if the change itself should have had a better design to it.
Says a lot about Anet’s policy on trolling that this thread still exists.
It’ll be gone by Monday. Weekends and Sundays especially, generally get these threads when there is almost no mod presence as people are at home and not working
I think it has a higher chance of giving more ectos rather than a higher chance of just giving them. That’s more anecdotal though and not based on specific facts to hand
Ah now see these are animations I really like on a specific legendary.
They do look odd on your toon mind you, but on some toons the effect is exceptional
Another angle…you can see how odd it looks.
I quote dark legacy…

I would doubt it, since they would want to wait after the reveals and after they have finished making the elites. They are still working on even the revealed ones atm. I suspect the last few betas before HoT will have those.
This is a specific beta for something else
There were issues across megaservers this week due to unexpected bugs. They should be fixed now and back to normality
