These are my tactics for taking zergs and large groups, i use torch traited for regular stealths with the elite stealth and utilty stealth, its amazing for breaking lock-ons, and scepter in main hand for the counter, this counter is EXTREMELY underapreciated, one word Thieves, the counter is a sure way to protect against backstabs its obvious when a thief goes into stealth to tell when he will be close to you, if you arent good at timing it then you could also place the sword in the offhand for the second counter, they enable me to lock down a thief with ease they think all they need to do is go invisible is to win xD, as for the torch, with it traited it gives you the abilty to kite and damage zergs by breaking locks, i must of had situations where it was 30+ and i still stayed next to/in the zerg for 5mins plus before having to retreat due to agro (them getting kittened off xD)

Not only that but my best duel was using GS and Sc/T traited for reduced cooldown, the trait also has remove conditions on skill use with torch which allows me to remove my condition matra and replace with veil (not nescassary but you can never have to many lock breakers xD) in this situation i did have veil and as long as you manage your cool downs correctly youll be fine, i only switch to GS to complete its skill damage cycle (maybe knockdown if needed) and then switch back to my other weps as soon as the 8 sec wep switch cool down has finished, i use that counter as soon as its cooled down as well, im not saying its a good idea to get in close for the counter but more than likely good player s WILL be close to you as they know how to beat mesmers hence the counter being critical as it releases high dps aswell

I use 100% full zerk gear for the high DPS spikes as i will be very rarely getting hit, If you notice your enemy is a necro it may be a good idea to have that condition remover mantra and not veil, as for the build itself hear are the skills and traits i have enjoy, as this build is overlooked to much and im up for critisism please be thorough

Rubbish I play mesmer with runes of the centaur Sc/T with GS and i can easily get away from anyone, ive made my build to be able to effectivly approach a zerg release a cycle on to them then retreat cooldown and repeat, my survivability is prestine and i have zerk stats, not only that i can switch to focus for 1v1, use pull with focus blink in front then push with GS then cripple with GS the player will now be weak confused (IRL) and cripple use invisibilty to remove lock on then wait for cool down on wep switch to pull to scepter for counter, the mesmer is easily the most adaptable class, yes they may be weaker than the warrior in terms of def and les manouverable than the thief but they have the ability to fill all roles.

im speaking for the Desktop in IT terms not the thing you SEE with your eyes

youre arguing with an IT technician -_- the full screen windowed mode (yes is practically the same but full screen) has the script to set is resolution to the native of YOUR desktop, so using a 3rd party to alter whethter the program (windowed mode or not) runs Physically ON the desktop will resolve the issue, as i said before the free option is GAME BOOSTER.

suck when it comes to pvp? you clearly dont play pvp, i have a mesmer and warrior and the warrior is what i usually have trouble with when on my mesmer

Strictly speaking GW2 does not support windowed fullscreen, because the implementation is broken.

Why? Because the whole point of a window, is that you can move it (and resize it). If you can’t do that, then it isn’t a window (and it doesn’t matter if there’s no title bar or borders, because there are Windows APIs to manipulate windows that don’t have them).

If a game properly supports borderless fullscreen windowed mode, then third party programs will be able to change which screen the program is displaying on, without it resetting back to the primary monitor.

You can do this with WoW, EVE, RIFT, and every other game I have played in the last 5 years, that has an option for borderless fullscreen windowed mode.

GW2 is the only game I’ve come across that keeps putting itself back onto the primary monitor, after another program has moved it.

Please do not confuse window mode with fullscreen window mode there is a difference

use the gamebooster software and set the program to run from desktop, increases performance and wont jump to desktop when switching screens, this worrked for me regarding the problem you have explained

right click on your desktop and set the screen resolution to your desire one, then change in game settings to full windowed mode simple… i currently have this setup and there is nothing wrong with it

Recently on wvwvw i have noticed that after the nerf there are still a few thieves that are able to stay in stealth during combat, they don’t receive the buff from revealed when exiting cloak and dagger and can stay in stealth, also not sure if this is me being silly but the same thieves have used blinding powder after i turned them into a moa and the moa only lasted for about 4 seconds, before you say, the thieves did not drop off a cliff to activate blinding powder, we were fighting on a steppe. btw im a Mesmer

exactly, ive got everything aswell, so its nice to know that i can keep getting something from laurels, i dont fancy the mini’s i lurrrrrv gold :P and as for the bags, you can have them both :s why isnt that an option

yeah rising duck forgot to mention that, ofc you get the amulet first but after that spend laurels for 3 t6 mats per laurel, if you get 3 powerful blood thats 95s right there for 1 laurel

okay bri, you stick to that method, orr is probably the worst way to farm gold, old the fools that sit there in that quest chain makes me giggle, like i said those moldy bags are terrible, they hardly ever give t6 mats

yeah i currently have about 30 expensive items i keep flipping, with all of them invested in i can remove about 150 of my gold and make about 20g back on it over the course of 5 days, i just cant use enough of my money, what do you guys think about investing a bit of gold into the SAB skins? ive got the shield atm do you guys think they’d go up, i saw a mod say that they wont do these skins again, when they re-release SAB it would be a different set so surely they’d increase unless they become so unpopular no one wants them lol

ectos atm look quite risky, they tend to closely follow the general wealth of the player base, and t6 mats will drop as soon as bots find their way back in, im after something more certain, like the balthazar ring for example, buy for 7g and sell for 10g over a week

darn, just darn The sPVP of dueling is just way to much effort to just mess around, besides this is like i thought a silly idea of mine and would waste devs time but i would like to know if they would ever consider this, one can dream :P

you can already duel in sPVP but people can join out of nowhere, i would like to duel with my developed character not a new one, and yeah thats what got me started, theyve clearly added somehting into the game, but i just hope that its not the game from EOTN

tbh i think guild wars needs a good dueling system implemented, imo it would add countless hours to the game for me, i dont want dueling everywhere like in WOW it gets annoying but an arena is a must have

After Playing Runescape for about 7 years and seeing EVERY SINGLE PLAYER wearing a cape xD it was kinda hard to get used to seeing 0 capes in game, however if the animations were done right and there were no clipping issues it could be a good addition to have a cape.

just do WvW its still faster than being rushed through story, unless youre after the account medals? :S

medium being honest i would suggest Blacktide or Arborstone, however join mine Fissure of Woe :P we could use all the players we can get for WVW we’re skilled however we have the smallest playerbase
