to be honest mortar would be pretty good with lower cooldowns and maybe 1700-1800 range . 1400 range simply makes gate attacking players targetable no more no less specially when you consider terrain elevation .
wouldnt even had bought the game if it had a fee and as the game stands now wouldnt be worth it for me it feels like a massive grind that gets nerfed and forbids you to grind.

he has a ton of HP has AoE pulls and hits like a train and buffs nearby players gives them like 6k hp or at least i get 6k hp and drops Siege with shields good luck meleeing those in a large group.
alrite my apologies it turns out it wasnt guardians it was Mesmers doing the pull over walls or against walls since it works through walls and gates.
I Also Noticed it completely Ignores Stability and it ignores LoS a bit since its an AoE .

You don’t mean arcing? Because arcing on long bow is one of the few places where Anet got it CORRECT. On my thief, I can’t autoattack or cluster bomb unless I can SEE where it is going to land, which is borderline full on kitten
But if you don’t mean arcing, then I haven’t experienced that. What are you seeing in the log as the source of the damage?
nope wasnt arcing was straight Auto attackshots from #1 longbow .

its simple the whole enemy Guild vanishes and then the whole guild comes out in new class Example: fighting a huge crowd of mesmers however when they see mesmer aint working they retreat then all of a sudden same guild comes back except now theres a ton of rangers.

this is another thing im being pulled from my mortar or whatever corner im at Barely in line of sight Mortar has 1400 range and grenades 1500 so it seems the skill’s tool tip is a bit off if im being pulled from such ranges and as i said even if the skill’s effect lasts awhile it doesnt change the fact its working through doors as im pulled repeatedly .
So people are complaining about doing a tedious job? That is a perfectly balanced DR imho. Why should they increase drop rates of everything and make it easier for us? You’re not going to see an increase in profit margins, you will see the exact opposite (Rares are the prime example of this).
I like that they have made obtaining legendaries a lengthy amount of time required before any can be obtained. It helps keep the rarity at bay, rather than making it an end game item which would make them considerably useless under the ‘Legendary’ status. If anything, they should be made account bound once created to help keep the rarity high.
Easy game play gets boring people ;P
grnding a year for an item doesnt make it legendary it makes it a tedious chore, for an item to be legendary it needs a reason to be some grand story or quest and such not a whoever pays the most gets it system because with DR you are forbidden to farm in a game that almost forces you to farm therefore killing any purpose on the game. people dont even see legendaries as some sort of epic weapons they see them as Skins.
i ve noticed guardians are able to use their pulls on players that are even behind walls this is breaking wvw as its become pointless defending towers when your enemy can pull you even being out of your Line of Sight .

Odds are you were using it and shooting at the same time, so your combo with the projectile removed another condition, and you thought it was all from the skill alone.
nope as i simply swapped for kit refinement then swapped back to whatever i was using or simply used kit refinement on me and shot the super elixir on faraway player since i was ranged support effectively clearing all conditions as well also projectile finishers only affect allies you hit when you shoot from inside the field the effect doesnt affect Self at all wich is stupid in my opinion.
I had no idea it removed more than one, the only way I can think of that it removed two for you, is if Clensing Formula 401 actually worked with it.
nah EG was pretty much the whole reason i never used cleansig formula 409 haha.
It allways only cleared one condition when you place it (also it’s a light field, so projectile finishers give cleanse)
guess mine was bugged and healing multiple conditions then .
is it me or was the Elixir Gun changed it was healing and cleared conditions now it only clears ONE condition per super elixir.
for defending/attacking keeps Rampager all the way traited properly you can stack 25 vuln and about 20 bleeds the icing on the cake is Rare Veggie Pizza wich gives conditions 40% duration making your bleeds have 20s duration.

he wasnt even using any of the necromancer forms he was on his normal player form no boons or anything and he was in combat as a zerg hit him and he simply teleported to the lake north of briar and swoosh hyperspeed mode on not even with perma swiftness i caught on nor the other players.
Is it normal for a necromancer to Shadowstep like teleport indefinetly without cooldown or anything as well as gaining an infinite 100% movement speed(no boon icons or anythign displayed either) ?

The Mortar is a Turret so it should act like a Turret.
I would be happy if they changed it so you can place the Mortar and than it just fires on your location for a set period of time in a firing sequence of 1-2,1-3,1-4,1-5.I think Engineers have enough support options, we need some better personal assistance.
the mortar is a nice concept it just needs a bit of a kickstart say about 25% damage increase except for the #5 skill and about 2000 range so it can actually be used to defend keeps and such in wvw

on a serious note how bad can you be grenades have 1500 range and the further they are the longer it takes to hit maybe takes 3 seconds to impact at full range so if you get hit from that far its kinda your fault for standing still.

FT fails as a purely power/crit weapon because its only two attacks is a weak flame jet (compare it to any thing else…even bombs 1 skill does more damage ae from power as does grenades, every Greatsword ability on gaurdian/warrior etc) And most importantly your rifle does more damage. You can get three 700 damage shots off from 1200 range that will peirce vs 1200 damage channeled jets at 450 range. This is noncrit ofc.
EDIT: and rifle benefits from power heavily on its blunderbuss, overcharge, and jumpshot holy god yes. it is THE power weapon for engineer.FT’s only two power attacks is flamejet and fire blast. However condition wise, flame jet (its primary attack) does a VERY high scaling HIGH base condition, air blast does ae condition, napalm does ae condition, your toolbelt applies conditions.
Also, fire blast is great for using your toolbelt then shooting it into a group and detonating, as it will apply the burn to EVERYONE IT HITS.
Also flame jet hits multiple times which normally doesnt really help pure power/crit builds (if anything it works against you). Where with condition, that means 10x to proc your passive bleed in firearms, as well as bleed from stone sigil. meaning you get LOTS of condition spread.
So, to get the best out of this weapon, you probably want to focus more on crit/condition damage …might and power are definitly good as its a hybrid weapon, but it excels at condition spreading. Also did i mention burning is the highest damage condition with the highest scaling damage from condition damage?
except that the Bleed on crit has an internal cooldown so you ll get 1 bleed tops per spray. burning does high damage but alone its no big threat and easy to remove and you can get perma burning pretty much with pistols and the Explosives V trait. why would you need a flamethrower again?
it needs at least 1800-2000 range since as the OP said terrain elevation counts towards its range therefore its actual range is somewhat of 1200-1000 in elevated places

this what i been using for dungeons and fractals i change the inventions adept trait depending on situation. its mainly focused on healing your team with everything and damaging with FT or bombs wich also heal.
as for why pistol and shield well the shield #4 is a blast finisher so i drop the heal turret then hit the self destroy and #4 shield skill at once and bam double AoE heal
formula 409 is nice and all but it doesnt stand up to the EG #3 fumigate cleans up to 5 conditions of allies in the cone range and has a fairly short cooldown ,then theres the kit refinement super elixir wich wipes away all conditions and heals over time leaving you yet another super elixir in reserve and guess what by the time you use this the elixir fumigate is already out of cooldown so 409 is rendered useless wich is why i slapped the 15% FT damage the bomb heals are small but when you combine the EG and regen and bomb heals you actually heal about 800-1000+ hp per second so it aint that bad
bombs how are they useful you may ask melee players cant thank you enough for this #4 is an AoE blind so you can heal your allies while damaging and keep them save from harm then you can follow up with pistol #3 another blind and confusion and then you got FT’s #5 another Blind.
oh yes food i either use Saffron ice cream wich grants me about 150 healing power or saffron scented poultry soup wich removes a condition from me each time i heal (wich is very often) with a cooldown of 10s.

this what i use for dungeons i change Inventions and Alchemy’s first traits depending on the dungeon.
if you rely on your pets you need to L2P now let me tell ya with Rampager only gear my longbow landed for up to 2.7k damage #2 skill hit for up to 5k+ damage usually that intimidated the enemy wich opened up for my shortbow and bam Bleed stacks all the way +1600 direct damage each second You must be doing something wrong if you arent damaging. i assume you are not even using your Longbow’s #4 skill wich is a 600 range knockback and probably wrong pets. i personally use the wolf for the AoE chill and spider for single target focus. now since i deleted my ranger i ll make another and post a video in about 18 days .
best build for rifle so far is static discharge i found it ultimatedly effective with grenades on a slot a 5-9k damage burst can be that gap gloser you need against heavy healers and such. you know you hit hard when even guardians run from you in wvw lol

On another note, this goes to scale with Group and World events. Although I am against all-white or all-black approaches, (which is why I love, for instance, the principle of stacks of ‘Defiant’), ‘berserk’ goes to prevent stuns, and other crowd control effects from becoming over-powered, as well as adding a pint of challenge.
The next step now would be (in my opinion) a re-evaluation of loot for mobs that are much harder than others. This is, I think, a more relevant issue.
the problem with berserk is the massive damage boost, can be fighting a random mob taking controlled damage when all of a sudden wham 80% hp yanked away in one hit.
Why would all mobs need the freaking Berserk how is it balanced specially on veterans and champions why would you implement such mechanic in multi aggro scenarios for example Orr as if One mob almost 1 shotting you wasnt bad enough you get swarms in orr specially during events this really breaks events since mobs have a short respawn timer .
Daily Mist Invasion Defender is broken its been stuck on 5/10 kills no matter how many times i ve done the event and slaughter hordes plus the event is bugged in some zones and wont even reset.
decided not to take things seriously for once :P lol.
