O’Rly? 138K WvW kills between 4 toons that play WvW and I view it as I originally posted – it should remain character/toon bound, not account bound.
From my own perspective, Wilson, I think many of those that fear the incoming “nerf(s)” are those that lack the player skill or abilities to sustain and devastate with any particular warrior build (and this is true for any other profession build). I watched your video and would put forth that a lot of why you did or do so well with your self-imposed nerf warrior build was simply due to your level of player skill and ability, as well as your knowledge of the warrior build(s) you do run. Again, I think many miss out on the fact that it is not entirely the build that makes the build, it is the player behind the curtains using the build to its fullest capabilities. This may be hard for some to swallow in acknowledging though. /salute.
Your anticipated drop in warrior numbers is quite unfounded, OP, not going to happen. There are too many other viable builds that a warrior can trans to that will still sustain and destroy, quite easily.

With the roam build I have been running for a number of months, I have never feared any nerf imposed on warriors.

As for you Merlin, Anet should never regulate server population no more than it is now. To go any further, so as to make it “fair” for those of you whining and crying about server population balance, would be problematic and have more negative than positive consequences.
Wxp should be as it is, toon specific simply because it reflects one toon’s progression in a certain environment, such as WvW.
I really hope ANet leaves Wxp and the point system restricted to per toon and NOT per account, which is utter ridiculous as to why people continue to want and expect this WvW stuff to be account wide.

When I roam, I roam to kill or be killed – it is the thrill of the fight I want; therefore, I can care less about taking a camp, etc.
I use this version (linked below) when wvw roaming and in PvE. The key to the build is knowing the build and becoming very familiar with its weaknesses and strengths as you progress to becoming a competent player with the build.
Run with an Ascii.9726 wvw necro build, it works. His build is in a thread within this forum or simply look under Ascii.9726’s post history for it.
Umm no, mini, cause there are a lot of WvW warrior builds that use hammer + something else. That said, it is a means of bringing the warrior hammer down to that of a guardian hammer….from a WvW perspective, imho.
Changing this skill to a 2s duration block …
You have a healing skill this does this, use it instead cause Renewed Focus is fine as is, imho and long time wvw experience (actually Tome of Courage is the bomb too).

I have a lot of Tier 1 experience (HB, Merc, etc.) but left for some peace, quiet and a break on a Tier 3 server. I am coming back to play wvw and thinking of FA. Anyhow, I may be interested but am wondering at the above quoted? No res’ing of fellow mates? No spiking (which = wvw ppt)? Was wondering as to the philosophy behind this?

This build was created by a RIOT guy (guild from Blackgate) – Second to God – a few months back but it is still effective and one I still use from time to when I do solo roam in WvW.

Warrior does not need a nerf, it is and has been just fine (except for aspects of sPvP, but in WvW and PvE, it has been fine).
For ranged play with Greatsword in WvW, izerker is the bomb and I, personally, do not care if it lasts – my CD for it is wonderful, up in no time.
Equip focus and centaur runes, nuff’ said.

Mace+shield/GS is seen with reasonable regularity for single-target shutdown.
Even so, axe/shield + GS can shutdown a single-target quite effectively, even now.

I use the same build in PvE as I do in WvW → DPS Phantasm build that will knock your socks off. 66590K wvw kills.

the ONLY person that was able to beat me in WvW was a stealth spammer thief after a good 10 min long fight I almost had him. stealth means my minions don’t attack lol.
focus me ? pfff try it on my 30K hp while my minions chop your health down and heal me dagger heal constant chills etc etc. I eat bunker warriors and guardians mesmers usualy run away after like 15 sec elementalists hunters even other necros are usualy free kill Enginers I don’t know I never meet one where are they ? lol. Soldier gear in my opinion the best gear for this build and bicous the Soilder amulet I can use this build in Spvp too and its HELL allot of fun you have crazy sustain and dmg from minions.

Btw, I have a tank necro that can sustain better than your minion 30K necro. I believe I have a wvw roaming warrior build that would put foot in ya too, especially with it 16-20K+ evicerate. But yeah, /salute. WvW is the bomb, I love it, whether zerging or solo roaming.
Matches are determined by the sum of all parts (all time zones), not the sum of one part (any one particular time zone). It illustrates that every server, despite having a prime time, has strengths and weaknesses and a part of those strengths and weaknesses are time zone coverages, or the lack of thereof. Having matches done by primetime time zones is ludicrous – again, matches are determined overall by the sum of all parts (all time zones of a particular server), not the sum of one part (any one particular time zone).

Hey OP, list your build so we can fully understand why you fought a ‘super’ warrior for that alleged 20 mins, kkthx.
Each profession, Guardian and Warrior, have their purpose given different environments, especially WvW. Remember that cause the sooner that you keep repeating that to yourself, the better off this discourse over warrior and guardian healing will be. Simply comparing the two without considering their purposes within varying environments will amount to being about as flawed as comparing apples (warriors) and oranges (guardians).
That is bull kitten. You can’t possible know more than 60 different people. Monster guilds can’t be called guilds, since they don’t have any feeling of family.
I would and will argue otherwise. When I was on a NA Tier 1 server, I was a couple hardcore WvW guilds that had over 150+ active WvW players (the total guild being about 350+ on guild roster) and we were about as tight as “family” could get. Obviously, the definition and meaning of “feeling of family” is based upon perception given each and everyone will perceive such differently.
4 – Reduce the effectiveness of large zergs. Although this is somewhat of an ambiguous suggestion the idea behind it is that large-scale zerging in WvW is too easy to achieve. In my opinion the real challenge of WvW and the real test of a server should be how well does that server organize itself and how well do they work together to win. Zerg size and server population currently have a direct correlation such that a server with overflowing numbers will use massive zergs to steamroll the enemy. This is only accomplished because zerging is so easy. Essentially anyone with 100g can create an iWin button for WvW. What I would propose is that the tool that allows easymode zerging to happen be removed and that a new system take its place.
I am not sure how much ANet is willing to acknowledge such, but there is NO fix or solution to zerging, period. Tier 1 servers typically run 35-70+ zerg balls while Tier 3 servers run 20-40+ man zergs. Despite your attempt to call them easymode, zerging is not a problem because their are in-game strategies the can and do minimize the impact of “easymode” zergs or zerg. All-in-all, zergs are here to stay, in one form or another and there is no fix for such without negatively impacting WvW as a whole, be assured of this.

I have been “MMO” gaming since Merdian 59, most people on this forum just did a Google search.
Having played DAOC I get your comment about servers being better than realms.
But this idea is like deep frying mars bars and coating them in crack cocaine … tasty and "zing " … but not a good idea. There is a logical gap between the proposition and the conclusion.
I have absolutely no interest in playing for 8 hours and being is 2,3 or 4 different versions of the “map”. In fact I will stop buying gems tomorrow if I am forced to contribute to any more than a single wvw unit per week.
Agreed, the idea proposed is not a viable solution despite it being touted as a start. Coverage or lack of coverage will always exist, even on a Tier 1 server, and if is happening still on a Tier 1 server (despite the recent influx of guilds to those three NA Tier 1 servers) then it will happen in/on all the servers. It is a perpetual problem and will never be resolved/solved, in any measure taken. In other words, each server must play with the hand they are dealt.
Moved from a NA Tier 1 server to an NA Tier 3 server = NO QUE whatsoever! Win!!!
