Happens all the time. It will put rabbit ranks on my team against a full premade of 40-50 ranks. Seems to me the matchmakers goal is to create a matchup as fast as possible disregarding everything. Also there aren’t that many that pvp players you can blame the developers for that because they barely put any time into pvp so many have abandoned the game
Got both gwamm and 50/50. GW2 was a huge letdown for me because I enjoyed the pvp in gw1. pvp in gw2 is not enjoyable for me
I just played 6 matches today and won all of them.
But I lost rating and rank. Not a few jumps up or down, which is sort of understandable, but a loss of about 200 ranking.
I’m kind of baffled by what possibly could have caused this. Winning matches causing you to lose rank.
You aren’t the only 1 on the leaderboard. What did you expect?
Mesmers may have good bursts, however, getting that damage through is a whole other story.
It’s easy to dodge the bursts. Easy to kill the illusions before a burst. Easy to use boons to block or go invul before a burst.
In the long run, we’re not superb.

I think you don’t get the loss i’ve been seeing many players leave right before we are about to lose..
Their priority is working on the custom stuff so maybe when the next expansion comes out
Some things that annoy me:
- 5v5 but one of players is just standing afk all match
- 5v4 (this seems to be fixed because now if someone dc before match u get new player)
-5v5 but one guy leave in middle of match rage quitSolution:
- implement replay system, so that after match we can somehow store that match (similar to dota 1).
- we can submit replay to anet and report afkers
- if someone do like 2 times afk or rage quit – ban 2 or 3 days
I highly doubt anet has the man power to watch tonnes of replays
They said they would be adding it in the coming weeks…
I’ve made some changes to orb running that’ll show up in the end of April build. Ride the Lightning distance will be reduced while carrying the the orb, and gaining invulnerability will drop it.
Why does this have to wait until the end of the month?
I understand that not everything can be fixed quickly, but since you already have a fix what’s the hold up? This kind of imbalance is very annoying, especially for more casual players without teams, and having to wait two weeks for a simple fix like this is disheartening.

PvP is based on Wins/Losses, while it should be more based on kills/deaths…
Now you can’t pug anymore because in pug group people leave all the time anyway.Plus if it doesn’t reset, weekly/monthly then a new player will never be able to get in the list anyway.

I don’t see the point in this especially with the way the matchmaking pits premades against solo queues. I also don’t get how people with barely any games played are even eligible
I and many others now only really login to do dailies. If they weren’t there we wouldn’t login at all
From reading the chatlog it looks like they went to see if their friend was online in another game so that they could invite him.
This is the reason I don’t join another guilds party unless i zone

Still catering to pve so the answer is no. Check back when the expansion is out maybe then we might get actual pvp content
The same reason players who go afk for extended periods don’t get punished/penalized
1 around september when they were worth around 5g which was a lot to me at least
Nothing better than playing 3 games against the same premade in a row. They were all rank 30-50 and were all friends while we were 1-23 randoms

I really don’t get why laurels are rewarded for pvp. Laurels are only used for pve last time I checked. Seems they just want more players to play pvp…

Ever since the patch I keep getting endless loading screens. The only current solution is to alt+f4 and restart the client. I have to do this everytime I change zones it is quite annoying. I’ve been playing since beta and haven’t experience this till the recent patch

not really you can only get daily/monthly laurels from pve OR pvp, not both
It’s a bug there is a note in the patch stating you should only be able to obtain laurels from either pvp or pve not both
were none of you here when laurels came out in january patch and people had already finished their monthly?

Ya I just had a match with rank two rank 2’s and a rank 11 on my team the other player left at the start making it a 4v5. We got demolished no surprise to see the team was a premade ranging between rank 30-50. Also this wasn’t the first time I faced a stacked team
Now I know rank doesn’t mean much but pitting randoms vs a premade is bad enough. It’s probably because the tpvp/spvp scene is non-existent

Yes, it is dumb to buy BLKs hoping to get anything of value. That doesn’t mean that what ANet is doing is any better.
For the record, I have never bought a BLK and never intend to. But, I still think we shouldn’t have skins gated behind terribad RNG.

I agree with theives being high reward low risk if they fail a burst they can just stealth and escape or heal up and try it again
Pretty sure you can still get past 50 by partying with someone who was already higher than 50 and doing odd numbers such as 53/57/etc

Tankier than guardians while dishing out good damage, having the mobility of a mesmer with a 3 second cooldown teleport .

Sorry but mesmers are 1 of the slowest classes outside of combat we have 1 speed buff which is focus and it isnt really worth bringing in pvp
Pretty sure anet said themselves they found players getting things too quickly so what better way to slow that down than gated content which artificially extends play time
I’ve actually found the dungeons easy none of them are really challenging other than giganticus but after the first time I fought him and learned his attacks he was a breeze. Dungeons aren’t difficult the mobs just have absurd amounts of health and most bosses can be beaten if you know how to dodge. I’m actually hoping they introduce challenging content and not trivial

Some players are suggesting there is a pattern to which Fractals appear after the other. Such as swamp then water or snow then lava. Is this true?
People should care about titles. If I’m going into a 1 on 1 at a point and see a anything lower than an Avenger then I know it is going to be an easy fight. Avengers should put up a good fight and against Ransackers I should be weary (especially against mesmers). If its a Marauder I would still try but I better be on my game. If someone were actually an Ascendant I don’t think I would even try.
Titles/ranks don’t mean anything i’ve seen many lower ranked players outperform higher ranked players. Time played=doesn’t equal a better player. You could be the worst player but play 24/7 and have a high rank/achievement

It is Gated Content which anet enjoys releasing because they said something along the lines of players are finding themselves bored quickly
