The one thing that I did like about WoW though was the questing somewhat, It always had a story to it, as in gw2 your helping farmers or killing centaurs just “Cuz” however keep in mind, WoW had 3 strategy games to build up it’s story. So of course the story is 100x better imo.

Not for solo? There was a reason they merged solo and team queue because team queue times were ridiculously long. Solo players make up the bulk of pvp population. The match making is hilariously bad to the point it will put a full 5 man against a full pug and you will still lose pips. I kid you not this happens during prime time.

The time gating is pointless, should be a certain number of matches played in total…. Not 3 each day. Some days you may play more than 3 and some less, so it should just be something like “play 45 ranked matches” instead of 3 a day for 15 days. I want to be able to progress through them at my pace.

I mainly pvp and balance has just gotten so bad it’s not even worth playing any more. I realise no game is 100% balanced but most competitive games achieve some form of balance. Anet refuses to split pve/pvp skills so the pvp aspect of the game will never be great because of this and many other factors

Idk why you are so shocked it takes a long time to get matches they just opened this league a few days ago. Let’s say you had 100% win rate to get to sapphire it would be like 40 games won straight if I remember correctly. Obviously most people do not have this win rate so you’re looking at 60-80 games over a 3 day period. I would like to think most people have a life and can’t play 24/7
2. Okay I tested this intentionally didn’t accept a queue and I had to wait around 3mins so idk you accidentally typed a 0 or cancel they queue to the point it reaches 30mins
3. I’ve never gotten a crash playing pvp. Sounds like a problem you should troubleshoot instead of continuously trying to queue. 2min is more than enough time to get in. 2mins is a lot of time and during this time frame a match can be decided
Queue times for solo queue were pretty quick like 30sec-2mins compared to team queue where it was 10+mins.

I seriously do not know how this game still starts when all 10 players are not present during the wait time when you zone in.
For me it was because pvp wasn’t complete faceroll you can now play classes like rev/dh and literally faceroll your head against the keyboard and get decent results. The skill cap just keeps getting lower and lower

Works fine it’s similar to Dota 2 if you queue for a match and don’t hit accept you can’t queue for 10mins. I think the 30mins could be lowered though. If this feature wasn’t in place people could constantly hit decline and requeue hit decline and just overall annoy the other 9 players

Some builds are far better than others at damage. Revenant, for example, has no right to be pulling its current numbers with such a simple rotation. I don’t want them to nerf it or anything, I just want all classes to pull similar amounts of damage if possible.

The only “bothersome” tweets are/were from their DnT twitter.
Things like: “After speed clearing the #GuildWars2 raid content in 15 minutes we’re attending the after-party sponsored by @mortonsalt. The loot is great.”
Might be the truth, but without any given (or just because of the) context it just doesn’t feel right.
I can tell you in 2-3 months not even the top 5 world guilds in WoW or FFXIV are speed clearing Mythic/Savage difficulty raids they have on farm status in just 15 minutes.
That’s not a problem with DnT, that’s a problem with Anet’s encounter design.
Hell, some WoW Mythic boss encounters last as long as 8-10 minutes, some even inching the 15 minute line.
Wildstar isn’t behind.
If DnT’s 15 minute clear statement is in fact truth, it does not remove the fact that a guild who has a raid in farm can clear a wing of a raid faster than running arah path 4 twice.
And Anet’s in a rut now, because if they change raids to increase difficulty/kill time, they are privileging the guilds who got the early clears over latecomers. So somebody’s gonna be kittened regardless.
What were you expecting? Challenging content to them meant more difficult than dungeons/fractals

Short answer: No. Absolutely not.
GW2 uses its own engine, and to redo the game with Unreal would basically mean remaking the entire game. There are systems they could carry over, of course, but the whole thing would be extremely expensive, tying up artists and programmers for a long time.
UE4 has excellent lighting, among other features, but it’s just not practical here. I think Anet would rather continue working with their own engine, developing new content, than the massive amount of work it would take to redevelop the entire world. There are other considerations as well, like how much UE4 would raise the system requirements to get the results you’re imagining. Then you have licensing the engine, retraining everyone to work in the new engine, etc.
I think the Unreal Engine would make the game a lot more responsive and stable. The GW2 engine is terribly written.

I have 64bit system and it still crashes constantly. It didn’t crash before HoT.
I thought gw2 was only available in 32 bit so i wouldn’t see how a 64bit os would help?
I’ve set everything on low and still receive these crashes. I’m not sure if it’s the same as others but i’ve had crashes where I am the only person around these crashes only occur in heart of thorns areas. I’ve got a 660ti sc/i7-2600k @4.5ghz/8gb ddr3 ram.

I personally feel it is dlc when discussing the content. I still do not agree with the price tag it makes no sense. The core game was 59.99 and the expansion 49.99. How exactly does that make any sense? There is nowhere near the amount of content to justify that price. I was expecting 39.99 at most. I had to basically pay 70 bucks because there are 0 Canadian resellers of the expansion.
