Hard to watch. No real clutch plays example top 10 plays in x game. I understand why they have Conquest but as a viewer it isn’t exciting because the way the points slowly tick up. Dev support is a joke.
I don’t even care that this isn’t fixed or probably won’t be for the longest time and this is coming from someone with gwamm and champion of the God’s. What annoyed me the most is anet seemed to want to push the patch that created this issue just to push the patch. It’s clear there was little testing done by looking at all the bugs that patch created. Ones I can remember are skill timings, perma invisible players, story mission bugs, and more that I can’t remember atm.
How is gw2 not a Barbie dress up? Most of the updates encompass gemstore skins.
So, like all of the Living Story? The cutscenes, voice over, new zones, new enemies, skill updates, etc., etc.
That’s secondary to a few gemstore skins in your mind?
Look, regardless of my disagreement with others in this thread as to the importance of a title bug (and skins which few if any even use), you cannot make the argument that GW2 is ABOUT skins. Well, you technically can, but it would be a foolish argument.
Easiest way to make the case is to ask yourself what you spend more total game time doing, sitting in LA emoting with your new Legendary, or playing the game with your guild, doing world completion, hitting PvP and/or WvW, running a dungeon or fractal set, etc.
If you can honestly say that you spend more time staring at your character standing around doing nothing, then I guess I’m wrong and very sad for you. I will admit I’ve spent time re-skinning and dyeing my characters’ armor, but that time spent is nowhere near the amount I’ve spent playing the game itself.
And as I’ve said, the bug should get fixed, but it is of little importance when there are critical skill and profession bugs/issues that have been around for months or even years without a fix.
You make a lot of sweeping generalizations. Just because the game is mainly focused on your characters appearance doesn’t mean that person sits in town staring at their own character all day. There are not a few skins like you have mentioned yourself. Getting gear in this game is trivial after that every piece of gear you get is aesthetic. Oh and I do not own a legendary like you somehow came to the conclusion of.
I don’t know how you can compare the actual content updates to skins and say they are minimal. If you want I can go through the past quarter and we can compare how many updates were skins and how many were content.

matchmaking in a nutshell. this was a ranked match during prime time hours 8 est. matched against a full premade with a full pug. Here is the kicker i’ve been facing premades all night it seems the matchmaker refuses to match premades against premades for some odd reason. I’d rather wait an extra 5mins than 3-5mins to face a full premade during prime time
I’ve been trying to obtain luminescent gear and doing sw. I’ve been taxing people by advertising as silverwastes 80% to get help with the events. Sometimes though people will join my party and vote kick me and I’ll get kicked . Am I missing something here? I make sure the map isn’t full and the progress bar is what I advertised….
Well I don’t think anyone talks about that it effects the actual gameplay. This game however is a lot about cosmetics no matter if it is skins, titles or minis.
I do fully agree that it is not something Anet should put their main focus onto. But only because you don’t care about cosmetics as it seems doesn’t mean others don’t aswell. So you also have to respect those who do and not make them feel guilty because they do.
Literally the entire thread has been composed mostly of people whinging about how someone else’s title somehow nebulously affects their gameplay experience. Which is tripe.
GW2 is not Barbie Dress Up Island or whatever. Sure, there is a focus on cosmetic upgrades (as opposed to stat grind in other MMOs) but these are neither the main thrust of the game NOR do they affect actual, concrete gameplay.
Which means the only logical conclusion is a select few players feeling oppressed because someone else got something they didn’t by bug/mistake/deal with the devil. This makes no sense at all, since several have admitted they DON’T have the title, and have no plans to shoot for it, making it of little to zero value in the first place.
As I said before, if you’re worried about what other people have that you don’t, you’re going to have a bad time. Focus on the social aspect of GW2, go play a dungeon or guild rush with your guild, and realize that sitting around in LA with some rare skin is NOT gameplay, its ego stroking in a video game, which is quite sad.

What is this hall of monuments bug i’ve been hearing about? I’ve heard that players were able to obtain every reward from the hom and every title within seconds? Is this true?
I don’t know how but anet managed to mess up this bosses hitbox for melee. I was using dagger main hand on my ele and pretty much none of my attacks were hitting him. I tried jumping, standing inside the model, around, etc. I also tried by icebow 4 and none of the ice pelts hit the boss
Tragedies happen everyday you can relate any tragedy to video game content. It’s just that the media decided to cover the plane tragedy extensively that everyone knows about it. I don’t know how you people get by in your daily lives if something that lasts a day in a video game provokes anger out of you
I’ve been working on completing the living story achievements so far i’ve done episode 5. I have now moved onto episode 6 and inside the instance i’m not getting the buff showing the achievement’s i’m working on. I went ahead and tried light em up and I did not get the achivement when I killed the mob with the flamethrower. Also I have completed this episode previously on this character. Any Ideas?
They can release this at anytime it doesn’t have to be April 1st mainly because April 1st is a Wednesday NOT a patch day
The possibility of SAB returning is shrinking with every day because there wouldn’t be a point to interrupt the hype of the new expansion with an old event and the last few weeks will be all hands on deck for sure. Therefore I guess that it will be either in April or after HoT. After HoT would mean after Halloween and after Christmas. So it would be pretty much a year from now.

It’s pretty simple anet doesn’t seem interested in banning foul mouthed players so there is no fear of being punished. I’ve seen the same player in PvP going around saying the n word many times a long with other hateful words yet he still plagues pvp
Like I mentioned this when I reported this a few weeks ago, don’t be surprised if they take a few months to fix this. While every other MMO or MOBA company would fix this within a few hours, ArenaNet lets bugs like this linger for months. Just look at how long they took to fix poison when it literally didn’t reduce healing at all, or how long they’ve taken to address friendly rallying.
I am really looking forward to it happening in a tournament, though.
Just dealt with this today… Was definitely a glitch/bug the person can’t be seen at all. There character model exists but can’t be targeted and I tried tab targeting nothing works it’s basically like perma stealth
Dungeons are mostly the same except 1 new path in ta. Fractals are mostly the same except they added a few fractals based of sections of living story. Basically they abandoned instanced content in this game all for zerg training. I gave up on dungeons when one of the Devs left/outted forgot his name. I was hopeful for something similar to doa/uw/urgoz/etc from gw1 but nope. If you’re looking for challenging content I would try out WildStar
This new matchmaking is horrible. I can’t play solo ranked arenas, because I get only mega noobs in my team while the enemy team is full premade. I really don’t get it. Can anyone explain this to me? …

I’ve started playing a condition ranger with shortbow/axe/dagger. I can beat pretty much every class except warriors and decent eles. I stand 0 chance against a warrior good or not. The problems I’m having is cleansing ire+berserker stance makes it impossible to keep a decent amount of bleeds which is where the majority of my damage comes from. Then there is healing signet which outheals any other form of damage I do and yes I try keep poison on them as much as possible. Any advice?
4v5 will happen obviously but they can lower the chances of it occurring. During the waiting period if someone isn’t present why the hell would the match proceed? I’ve posted this before csgo handles this by banning the player who didn’t show up during the waiting period and the other players are free to leave without penalty. PvP will always be a side project in this game the Devs just don’t take it seriously.
If any name is even slightly or indirectly offensive all someone has to do is report you and you’ll get banned had a character for 2 years and recently got issued a name change

I went ahead and signed up for the newsletter for the upcoming HoT beta when they opened sign ups. But I haven’t received any confirmation emails from anet and in fact my last email from anet was from Mar 5th. I think I’m signed up because it was how i originally got into the gw2 beta. Why isn’t there a confirmation email send for signing up? Also I signed up twice to see if there was an issue and it seems the website doesn’t give you an error stating x email has signed up already…
ITT people who are on winning streaks confirm that the system is fine who would have known. Haven’t seen a difference in the matchmaking still full premades vs solo queues and more turret engis than ever.
How do you even know you’re on the mailing list? I’ve signed up but didn’t receive any form of confirmation(yes I checked my junk/etc) I should be signed up from before gw2 launched cause I subscribed to the newsletter back then. What does loyal customer even mean? I’ve been around since gw1 beta weekend preview and didn’t get a key.
I would just report them for verbal abuse as well as block them and move on. Im not completely sure reporting works cause I’ve seen the same player that uses derogatory words and curses every word possible still around
Destroy all the turrets? I just take out the Rocket Turret then go for the engy. Seems to work.
That’s actually way better to do it that way. To the guy above complaining about taking ages to destroy the thumper turret: don’t! It has a big health-pool, but is not that dangerous. On every capture points but the one on Niflhel you can be outside its radius and still stand on the point, and even so it has an animation before it knocks you back, so dodge that. Rocket turret is a lot more annoying, but it has low HP and long CD. But if you feel like you can’t beat the turret engi, just leave him there. As soon as he’ll move, he’ll be vulnerable, and if he doesn’t, well, good for you! Just 5v4 his team on the other two points.
The only reason to play a turret engi is to get high on the LB without skill. Indeed, you’ll loose more than 50% of your matches, but you are guaranteed to score at least 250 points even if you are terrible, since the other team will avoid you. It makes you score a great number of LB points. I believe the #1 on EU LB is a turret engi with less than 50% win, it doesn’t surprise me. But if you care about winning more than being on the LB, don’t play this build.
Being top on the leaderboard only has to do with time played
I often get random disconnects & connection errors when I try to log back in (while my personal internet works perfectly fine…)… Should I get banned for THAT which isn’t even my fault?
Play hotjoin then. I’ve never heard of experienced this before. You know your connection isn’t stable yet continue to queue. Does that even make sense?
