because pvpers always get screwed over
I swung a sword, I swung a sword again= I hit f, I hit f again
One of the reasons it is popular is because of how annoying it is
I have a feeling these skins will be added to the BLTC after the event. Something like “Missed the chance to get your favorite Dragon skin? Well don’t worry we added them for a limited time to the BLTC, hurry while they last!” . They will cost probably 600 to 1000 gems each. I would not be surprised by this, at all.
As for buying anything in the future with real world money, I’ll build up my in game gold and trade it in for gems.
Not the greatest idea. They should have had them in the BLTC at the start not after people opened 1000s of Coffers without seeing a ticket. Or they could have had it so every time you open a coffer you get fragments that could be traded in for a ticket
Probably bug not surprised Anet rarely tests stuff
I believe it is a good system, since the normal coffers drop all the time and from everything, so you get a lot of chances to drop the ticket.
Maybe they should let we buy tickets with Jorbreakers, too. That would make a lot of people happy and would put all these Zhaitaffies that I can’t even hold to a good use.I agree. I preferr this system over just locking the tickets in the chest being only purchasable through the cash shop. I am able to collect about 100 chests per day just leveling my warrior up. So far I have been able to collect 3 tickets from the regular coffers. Probably close to 2000 opened so far. I also got 2 tickets from rich coffers but that cost me quite a bit for those 2 with nothing out of the first 75 and then the 2 came in the last 25. But again that was my choice to buy them to begin with
Of course people like you will like this system because you’ve actually seen tickets if you opened all those coffers and did not see a ticket i highly doubt you would be saying you enjoy it
The devs need to balance the usefulness of stuff besides DPS to achieve this however; right now the PvE metagame is all kinds of broken.
You talk about not making enemies bullet sponges; but take lupicus for example. One group downed him in 46 seconds using crazy DPS, no control, minimal support – most groups would take minutes to down him, and it’d be a tough fight – how hard people will find a fight is heavily dependent on how long the fight lasts and that in turn depends primarily on DPS.
Increase hitpoints, fights last longer, glass cannons are more likely to die, but then badly-built characters, or bunkerish characters get bored as the fight takes too long. Lower the hitpoints, fights become quicker but glass cannons literally faceroll through the content.
It’s quite the conundrum how to make things challenging while keeping the challenge relevant to all classes and builds.
Yeah, they need to move away from dps-only based fights.
A suggestion for the devs:
1. Get rid of or modify Defiant, and return to the original plan of the dps-control-support class configuration. Roles aren’t a bad thing…
2. This needs to be accompanied by new weapon skills and perhaps even the ability to swap out some abilities for others on one or two weapon skills.
3. Make fights based on timely interrupts and control, the cleansing of conditions and the application of buffs. The deadly lizards in Southsun were a step in the right direction.
Remove defiant and you end up with bosses being chain cc’d
Yep my friend opened 6 regular Coffers and got 2 tickets RNG ftw…
Opened 1.5k coffers today no ticket unfortunately.
I made a video of me opening 1k coffers cause I was bored
I hate to be the negative one here but…
This feature isn’t in tpvp why do you think they would suddenly put development time into a temporary mini game when this has been an issue for tpvp since release? We have to look at the facts here and be a bit realistic
Doing a quick tally on the results from this thread, that means the ticket drop rate from Dragon Coffers is over 0.1%.
That’s not bad at all.Funny story, this is for a single item. In the old MMO I played, when upgrading armour, near +9 out of +10 (Which was the maximum you could upgrade a piece), you had a 0.03-0.05% chance of succeeding in upgrading, the upgrade itself would cost about 3,000,000 of the ingame currency, the kicker was that if the upgrade failed, you lost the item. I repeat, you LOST the item you were trying to upgrade. Now these could be work anything past One billion currency. But oh boy, they offered protection! For forty million of the currency….PER try. I get that 0.1 is a bit of a kicker, but at least i’m not losing as much as back in Flyff.
Not sure what that has to do with this? The item here is only for aesthetic purposes
I’m going with tengu or a race that hasnt been introduced yet. Margonites make no sense if you played gw1 you would know that…
No and people need to stop attributing nonsense to RNG chests. If you stand at X spot it will increase the rng chests or wear magic find seriously? It is a coincidence
I personally feel full berserker is the way to go other than maybe the guardian so mobs go for him/her first. If you know when to dodge and bring utilities that help keep you alive you should never die. Berserker gear helps with this because the fights become shorter
It’s weird I’ve bought so many things from the gemstone between the required period and haven’t received the minis yet. They said they are sending them out in waves but it has been a few days hopefully ill get them soon..
Because someone that is actually good have no need to shout about being good?
A good player don’t need to get confirmation from other people to know that they are good.
And people shouting about being good in chat simply looks like kittenholes.
Pretty much this the op and others in his position are insecure. The loudest are usually the weakest
Also I hate to say this because all the fan boys will pounce at me but being skilled in this game isn’t impressive at all compared to a game like starcraft 2 and other esport titles

Apparently Anet learned nothing from Jade Quarry, Fort Aspenwood, and Alliance Battles in GW1. They had to create a report system and a debuff for leachers so they couldn’t rejoin matches immediately.
How was this not implemented for Dragon Ball?
I’ve got a better question. Why isn’t this implemented in tpvp which has been out since launch? Don’t expect them to suddenly implement it for a temporary mini game
This feature isn’t in tpvp why do you think they would suddenly put development time into a temporary mini game when this has been an issue for tpvp since release
Edit* guess op thought it would be funny to make a thread then delete his own post after?

There are a lot of dyes in this game as you all know. What I suggest would be the ability to save dye sets to a template so that you can cycle through different dye sets without having to remember every combination.
This won’t be fixed. I play tpvp and this is a huge issue which hasn’t been addressed since launch they aren’t going to start addressing it because of a minigame pvp
This is the reason why arena net doesn’t put the skins in the cash shop for a fixed price. Why charge $5 worth of gems when they can get $55 from someone like yourself?
Yes the GW1 dragon arena made more sense here you just spam skills because of the low couple with the small arena you die pretty much instantly if facing more than 1 player. There is also the issue of putting players into a game that has already started. You end up on the losing side 99% of the time down by over 100pts making a comeback nearly impossible

Didn’t get anythign and i;ve bought plenty of gems before
Or maybe you dont need to feel entitled to complete it this year? In GW1 there were some holiday titles (so like achievements) which were IMPOSSIBLE to complete in one year even if you would play 24 hours while the event was live. I was fine with that. And so I am fine with what they offer now. If you cant grind it now, you can return next year and finish the job. Its not like this thing will be gone forever.
ya they were but from what i remember they didnt give actual rewards to get the head piece u just had to participate in the finale
I preferred Dragon Arena from gw1… I dont like how the skills have such a low cooldown that you pretty much just spam them. Oh and then you get put into a match that has already started meaning most of the time your team will be already losing because you replaced a leaver from the losing team
Seems to be working but a bit too late as it is being removed tomorrow from what i heard….
This is crap, the achievements have been bugged for days.
Can we get an extension at least?
I agree I can’t complete the achievements related to crab toss because I get no credit at all
Ya all the crab toss achievements are broken. I started doing all southsun sachievements today following the dulfy guide. I entered the crab toss and did not receive the achievement for participating also didn’t get the achievement for winning.
I am going through the southsun achievements following the Dulfy guide. I went to the location for crab toss participant and entered the crab toss. I played it and won I did not get any achievements for winning or participating… Am I doing something wrong here?

The best option someone mentioned in another thread was to have a game option that when toggled changes the models to something like human, but looking at anets track record this might take a few years for them to come out with
You don’t always need rewards to get people to keep playing. If the actual game play is good people will keep playing looking at the competitive game counter strike people don’t play it to get achievements/skins. Yes I know it is a fps but if the game play is good then rewards shouldn’t mean much
You are what 6 months too late? Pretty sure they nerfed it multiple times. Grats though here is your sticker
Entertaining pvp. GW1 was a pvp focused game and now here we are with the complete opposite catering to casuals. You know that the difficulty of your pve content is low when players have to resort to soloing giganticus(there is also handicapping yourself).

Prophecies is not an expansion – it’s the original game. So for 15 euros, you’ll get Prophecies and EOTN. Factions and Nightfall are expansions.
And yes, you can probably buy them all twice for 100 euros
*Edit: I see it’s indeed cheaper to buy the trilogy + EOTN – then you’ll have them all.
This is a lie. The only expansion is EotN. You don’t need prophecies to play factions or nightfall and vice versa. You only need 1 of the 3 prophecies, nightfall, factions to play eye of the north
The game shouldn’t even start unless everyone enters the match before the timer expires. Most of the afkers I get queue up then leave their computer/tab out forgetting they queue up. Played 6 games today 2 of them had afkers right off the bat.
Probably warrior cause they are pretty powerful if they land eviscerate or 100b you are pretty much toast. I can see anet overbuffing warriors
Are you sure it’s spam? If someone /dances and you get far enough away, then get close to them again, you’ll get another /dance notification. If you mean they’re just /wave’ing constantly, you can remove emotes from your chat window.
If this isn’t spam then I don’t know what is…
He did it on purpose because before he did it he made snarky remarks. I’ll just turn emotes off from chat..
How do you deal with emote spam? Recently players have been spamming emotes and there is no cooldown for it so you can spam it over and over….
Ya it was overbuffed they can take me down pretty easily on my hgh engy they literally spam it 4x and im down to 30% health and all my might stacks are gone then they stealth and wait for initiative or use the shadow step skill. I play hgh engi they shred me apart
It also has a low skill ceiling. The problem with theives is if it’s a bad theif they will still be good because they can stealth or use their ridiculous teleports making them unkillable pretty much
I’m just going to be brutally honest with you – from the tone, writing style, and the way you described things in this post, I’m comfortable assuming you’re not the greatest player, and are not qualified to judge whats OP, has a low skill ceiling, etc…
Don’t be discouraged, that’s not a putdown. You can always get better. Watch some S/D video’s/spectate an S/D thief to get an idea how they work and you’ll start doing much better.
I’m rank 40 I have over 1k tourney games so I have a better idea than most people. Also I didn’t know that someones writing style dictates how they play the game thanks for pointing that out for me

Isn’t it the exact same shield/sword from beating a mission in gw1…
I always liked FA a lot due to the asymmetic goals. Made for some extremely interesting mechanics. Unfortunately it was horribly unbalanced as long as Kurzicks had a clue. Still… best casual pvp in GW1.
Bond monks?
They should have had it similar to gw1 where you could save build templates and double click them to switch to them in outposts also you could easily share builds with other players. So much for taking what people loved from gw1 and improving on it..
They did it because it took 5mins and they want monies. They can just say sorry and fix it down the line
Because if there was challenging content most people would complain and it would be nerfed anyway
They won’t address anything on fractals until the big update for it comes. Which I’m guessing will be June. After that it will take them another 5-7 months to address any issues from fractals because they release patches once a month that focus on 1 part of the game
It is because like the other dude said pve is more profitable it really is that simple
It is most likely because dynamic event zerg trains don’t require a party. I’ve made probably 99% of my friends through dungeons/fractals. Shame that 70-80% of them left for now because there isn’t much to do
