And this game is broken in many ways and has Classes/builds hardcountering other classes/builds so they cant do anything than die. I never raged in games before and i played alot but guildwars 2 can bring the most ugly, anoying, unfair …. fight situations ever and is made to make people rage. Even the stomping mechanics are made to let you kitten on your enemy once you won.
there is necro , S/d thief, spirit ranger and so on … and most OP atm is hammerwarrior (I call them hammermonkeys) and you should not wondering about when people rage on you when you play the most op crap this game has.
Arenanet cant give any good special reward for first place – it would break wvw
1) wvw system is flawed and they would punish big % from there playerbase for not clicked correct server when made the account
2) biggest part of the playerbase dont have any chance to get this reward cause population issues and broken system
and
3) next season everyone would transfer to ONE server so everyone wins
they just cant give out any good reward for first – is not possible^^

teamQ is same broken and eploited/abused
most teams farmed on there way 1-3 people groups and made with this more rank than they deserve
i know there are teams looking for other teams when they join or are offline …. to avoid them and farm easy targets

sure some/a lot players are legit in top 100 but alot will never be there again once it is fixed
for lvl 80 you need to craft 1-500. Problem is it is only possible for Weaponcraftings atm.
they are not “more” justified and this is no reason to do it again
alot people are in top 100 which would never be there and when YOU think you are legit than YOU will be there again and YOU will be there when we get the rewardsystem + Seasons
and a legit TOP player would be happy for this change to have more competive Matchups in the future + leaderboards which are not a joke and ignored from most players

We have an inflation and i think arenanet will do something about (last patch they nerfed championboxes golddrops) . They will nerf more gold-loot/rewards or bring more goldsinks.

moba with normal skill setup DONT work
MMORPG Combat is more complex than moba or fps game combat and in MMORPG´s people wanna use there skills and spells to fight people. Extra complex objectives are not good for this.
Im sure they could make an moba Activity with only 5 skills or something but i dont think we rly need this.
Gamemodes in MMORPGS should fokus on combat – not on objectives

every counter should have a counter and all classes should have the Rock Paper and Scissors – not only rock paper OR Scissor

player 1 heals
player 2 can counter with interrupt, poison or damage
player 1 can counter the counter with stability, condiremove or protection
player 2 can counter this with boonremove, more condis or boonremove^^
boonremove maby should be effected by blind to have another counter but this would be next thema

go for temple events in orr – when your server dont do them guest on high pop servers
there you can see which event is running on which server and you can farm dragonite with different characters 1x per day per character
you cant calculate the craftings mats to get the value from pearl weapons
in this game items have identical stats and value comes most time from the shiny skin OR the rarity
noone care how much you pay to make a pearl weapon when he can buy same stats in tp for lower price and most time better skins
noone ever will give you 7g for a weapon when he can buy same for 1g – thats the reason why pearl weapons cheaper in tp than the crafting cost
have 30-100k per t2-t5 material (cloth leather ore) stored in TP to higher prices than i buyd them now for months with win range 30%-150%. Some Stacks per t6 fine material + tons other t6 stuff like 50 stacks bolt of gossamer …
the day the patch hits i make big profit but most profit i made already on ppl stocking for the patch
and best is i made all my investments allready back and work on the patches after^^

People dont care for winning just go around and do whatever they wanna do.
People just leave the match when enemy stronger or more pointz. Big % from this matches would end 1v5 or 2v5 or something like this.
People will ignore Meta or good builds and just run around and troll or test things.
People would use this to farm glory when “hotjoin” would be deletet.

And we already have this ingame when you wanna play 5v5 unranked – dont know why you ignore this. Yes there is no Que to join it or MMR filter but atleast its instant and you get new Players when others leave.
looks like you dont even know there is 5v5 hotjoin – check the filters
when arenanet just would do a button on tournament npc “Join unranked” and send you in the 5v5 hotjoin alot would not even know they play hotjoin and think “wow what a cool new feature i can play 5v5 unranked” ^^

just press the button for 5v5 hotjoin and you have what you want

guess what you want is an Unrated Queue like hotjoin but as a tournament
in my experience teamQ pops faster than soloQ with jsut 1-3 ppl
alot play teamQ just4fun or to avoid skyhammer and alot SoloQers dont care for teamQ Ladder and go there to farm champion titles or just trie new builds

i dont like the idea to make an EXACT copy from a moba game
first the idea to bring something like a moba game i love – but dont make a LoL copy
some ideas:
for the gear up/lvl problem
- just give players magictokens they can use at spawn to start different events
events to spawn mobs which go to the lanes and build some defense or attack or give buffs or … all this things
and this mobs have hardcountermobs so both teams can with good strategic play counter the enemy – but all this mobs can be killed by players too
and so can fight till enemy “nexus”
atleast it would more fit in an game like gw2
but at the end it dont sounds liek something for strutured pvp – its more like an activitie^^
people should not always compare with counter strike or Lol or whatever FPS game …
combat in MMOs has much more spells than any of this e-sportwhatever games
the micromanagment is more complex and the PLAYERBASE in such mmo games love and want the FIGHT with their skills and not running around for objetives
sure you need objectives in a game like counterstrike – ye would be boring without cause counterstrike dont have any combatmechanics
for me when i watch a tournament gw2 match on twitch i care for the fights and they r cool but i dont care for whoever capture whatever node somewhere on the map
a russian guy from desolation (forgot the name^^) made ages ago a duell tournament and THIS was fun to watch
I dont think it is a good idea to “filter” class and builds to find a matchup in soloQ.
This would dictate The Meta someone somewhere created or said how the game have to be played on a twitch channel noone watches.
I had matchs with 3 mesmers in my team and won and this was fun + a match i will always remember.
When we have classes overpopulating the SoloQ matches than this is a balancing problem and should be solved there.
The Other Filters you named like Dishonor ppl have to fight dishonor ppl sounds good.
But i guess i would love more to join a match instant than have to wait 10 mins and i think it should not be hard to not create full 5 man grps and wait for another 5 mans to make a counterpart, it would be much better to just pair players and throw in 5 pairs and done.
It would be no problem to have:
Pair 1: rank 4 vs rank 12
Pair 2:Rank 80% vs rank 78%
Pair 3:Rank 50% vs Rank 30 %
Pair 4: rank 486 vs Rank 346
Pair 5: no ranked vs no ranked
this would be somehow balanced and would create fast matches
and there can be a filter to matchup pairs with similiar rankings like +-100 ranks and every 1 minute this filter goes 100 higher
or simple make leagues:
gold sivler and bronze
gold: rank 1-500
silver: rank 500-80%
bronce- rank 80% – unranked
and make matchups only with pairs from a league. This would give fast instant ques and very fair matchups. And something people wanna work for.

Arenanet wanna have the price higher from silk scraps and thick leather sections. When actual Changes are not enough they will do more changes to reach the goal. So it is a safe Longterm-Investment.
It dont even need Bankspace – just buy out and put in TP again with a buyout 50-100% higher or even more – its 8 copper now so 14-20 will be safe – maby 25-30 – someday
it only can go up and arenanet work for this^^

t5 Leather will not rise – too much on the market (8 millions atm) and we allready have the t7 mat ingame and ppl craft it every day, so we know how much will be used and we know it do nothing and when asc armor release the need for t5 leather will still be the same
sell them on TP – dont craft with mithril or elderwood

thief players only run around looking for easy targets to gank them and think they are somehow important soloroaming specialforce
but at the end they are jsut a wasted spot on the map and useless for the server

First Week was fun as there was most balanced matchups on all 27 servers in eu and i think NA too
+ the new Archievements brought some fresh wind
but with start week 2 it was same old in all match ups – everyone know who win after first 1-2 days
so – i dont like league at it is atm
matchmaking is working – the old one. Yeah it had his flaws where server had to fight same servers for weeks but atleast it was somehow balanced.
after thinking a bit about this ele change with condi imun when higher 90% hp i think not anymore it is op – its more like an very creative way to fix the burst ele
with this trait eles wanna have vitality as low as possible to have it easier to heal to 90% so berserker amulet is not more the best option
we rly should wait how this works out

ye i dont want so much fokus and buffs on spiritweapons. Guardian has other problems and the last thing we need in this game is another AI-Passive Button-Spam class.
Spiritweapons should be interesting tools but in noway they should be buffed to Spiritranger Spirit-lvl.
i often dont even see in a 5v5 whats going an – just too much effects and animations you have to care for
15v15 never work and its jsut a spam fest on the comander symbol

first months you could NOT choose your team (red/blue) – your team was random and there was not this stacked teams
with custom arena and spectator mode patch they started this feature and i dont like it
the argument “its hotjoin so no penalty so it doesnt matter” just dont work
hotjoin should bring new people and not slap them in face
we dont have any pvp population anymore and still people dont care
matchup in hotjoin should be RANDOM
when wanna play with your friends in 1 team go teamQ or custom arena

1 week to play for points in a ladder and at weekend you get your position like gold silver bronce medal for top 100 and whatever rewards
and this sums up to an average ranking week per week + some statistics like personal top rank, how often, archievements, weeks played ….. things like this
and this mode should be open for solo players and teams
edit: and this weekly games should be from monday – saturday and on sunday should be special tournamet for best 10?
this would bring alot viewers cause all who palyed matches in this week would watch it – even the casuals
