Yeah, all the mats in your inventory in that pic are in an Invisible bag. That’s why you can’t sell/deposit them. Move them to a different bag.

I’d contact support again about this. Let them know that you tried their suggestions but that you still can’t log onto that character.

You’re entitled to feel however you want.

I will say, however, that I don’t feel screwed over. I got to play the game for three years (without any account restrictions), including getting to play LS 1 and LS 2 (without having to buy episodes). I also got nifty loyalty items throughout those three years, including rewards for buying gems, birthday gifts, and (most recently) an outfit for those of us who bought the game before yesterday.

I really don’t get why you’re so hostile towards f2p players. Take your problems to Anet; it was their decision to do it. Leave the players out of it, unless they start acting hostile. Stop acting like a toddler.

When I was in Queensdale and Caledon Forest last night, people were being very, very friendly and helpful. People would post info about where events are happening, welcome new players (in both say and map chat), invite new players to whisper them if they had questions or needed help, etc.

Like you said, chat was probably toxic where you were because pvp chat just tends to get that way more often.

Ah yeah, true. I did forget about the fact that the Greatest Fear plotline was added back, and that took place before and immediately after Fort Trinity. So, you probably won’t be able to play that restored line, OP. But you’ll be able to play all of the Orr parts (the ones most affected by the changes before) in the correct order now.

Because there’s no reason to be hostile to the f2p players. They want to enjoy the game just like I do. They might even decide to buy the game based on their experience. Why would I be hostile to someone who hasn’t given me reason to be that way, especially when it’s someone who might go on to support a game I’ve enjoyed playing for the past three years?

That being said, I do think the 2 slots is more than enough for f2p players, and I agree with most of the restrictions in place for those accounts.

Or you could simmer down, actually read the restrictions, and move on with your life (both in-game and out of the game).

It’s not unfair. The people who sold/sell Electro Blue dyes either got them from the gem store or by buying them on the TP. No one is able to sell the birthday gift ones because Anet made those account bound (to keep the dye market from being flooded, I guess). Fairness doesn’t matter because it’s two different situations. If you didn’t want to use the gem store dye (which pretty much everyone knew was account bound before choosing it), then you could have chosen one of the Zephyrite colors and sold that one.

The only way to get a berserker stat aquatic breather is to get the Rime-Rimmed Mariner’s Breather (from the pvp wintersday track or getting one from Wintersday boxes).

As to your question, are you both on the same region (NA or EU)? If you’re not on the same region, you can’t join eachother to play. You also have to both be on the same map to try to Join eachother’s instance of said map.

As was already said, Anet wants these free account players to buy the game. Taking away one of the incentives to do so wouldn’t be a good idea (for anyone, really).

If your account was made before January 23 (give or take a day or two) of this year, you would get a free character slot IF you pre-purchased HoT (any version of it). So, they basically just worded that badly.

OP is asking for a list of items free accounts can buy/sell on the TP. But I don’t think Anet will release such a list (at least not yet).

The free accounts have a list of restrictions. Read more, whine less.

Free accounts get:

Fewer bank and bag slots
Limited use of map and whisper chat
Can use the TP but can’t mail items to other players
Have to play to level 60 before you can enter wvw

Season 1 will come back eventually, just probably changed to be more like Season 2 in its gameplay. But right now it’s not playable because it was largely done in open world and not in solo/small group instances (like Season 2). Thus, they’ll have to change up things to make it replayable.

As a side note: Season 2 was free for players who were actually logging in when the episodes were released.

I have no doubt that we’ll be getting Halloween in some way; ANet ALWAYS does Halloween. However, I do think it’ll be a rehash of the last two years, and it might be set in DR instead of LA this time.

That stuff (level cap, no map chat, etc.) was trial info datamined a year ago. No one knows the conditions of this possible “free to play” thing that came about this week.

As was already suggested: Either look at your Combat tab or make a no chat tab, and/or simply practice some self control.

Yeah, auto-attack getting set to your healing skill is what first comes to mind. Do as shadow suggested above.

OP is talking about the plush ram backpack (gem store only), not the lucky ram/lucky great ram.

The person isn’t whispering you while you’re blocked. They’re whispering you, then blocking you, then unblocking to whisper you again, and then blocking you again. Repeat until they get bored. So, it’s not the block system failing; it’s them being annoying little twits. Block them, and they won’t be able to talk to you.

My husband is looking at them right now. They’re still there.

I just put in a ticket with support a few minutes ago asking if that could be done. It has already been replied to, and the difference has been applied to my account. So, yeah, I think they’ll honor the requests as long as you ask.

With the exception of the choice you make during character creation and a very, very, small handful of NPC dialogue choices, your “personality” doesn’t matter. It was, for all intents and purposes, removed from the game last year; the bars that used to indicate how many “points” you had in each trait were removed in April 2014. And even when it was still “part of the game”, it didn’t make any difference in your game play at all.

Yeah, I’m a bit annoyed that I paid the full price for that last week. But oh well.

For that first “shortcut”, you need a teleport/blink skill. Engis don’t have that, and so that’s why they didn’t list an engi. Engi is obviously good for the “shortcut” that uses a jump shot.

That being said, I’m doubtful that “shortcut” 1 works anymore, due to the changes to teleporting (ie. needing a “clear path” to your target location). The video is a year old and was made before those changes. The one with the rifle jump might still work, but I’ve never tried it myself.

If you’re on an NA server, I could just port you to the chest, if you like.

Birthday gifts are still one per character. Are you sure they all turned 3? Check their ages in-game (/age). If the characters are less than 1095 days old, then they haven’t reached their birthday yet.

Be careful about how quickly you re-log back into a character if you camp JP’s. Anet has put code into the game to prevent this type of playing and you’ll get ported to a specific WP on the map upon logging back in with that character.

What? I’ve never had that happen, and I tend to log in and out of certain characters fairly often.

Shatterer has that mechanic (only with a handful of crystals instead of 13 portals). 90% of the group still stands by his right foot instead of helping with the crystals. So, I’m not too hopeful that something like this would result in more participation.
