Why have doubloons not been given their own slots in the mat storage yet?
Because they are categorised as upgrade components and not crafting materials.
Yes, but things such as opal orbs, ruby shards, sapphire crystals, etc. are also upgrade components (as well as being crafting materials). Surely they could find a way to have doubloons work the same as those.
There hasn’t been a Druid info release yet; they just teased the name and such back when they first started talking about the elite specializations.
You have to log in to open the in-game mail that has the reward. You don’t have to log in for the reward to be sent to your in-game mailbox, though.
I think Gwen was my first birthday green mini. And then I later made the black moa chick for funsies.
Honestly, I don’t see this happening as this game (and pretty much every game like it) relies on gambling for not only parts of gameplay (ie. trying to forge a precursor or mystic clovers) but also to produce actual income (ie. black lion keys).
Compulsive behavior, including compulsive gambling, is certainly tied to certain disorders (probably quite a few of them), as well as other stressful events and such in life. It’s sadly a very common thing that can ruin people if it gets out of it, and, unfortunately, it often does get out of hand. But it’s not the game’s (or casino’s) responsibility to regulate the players and their gambling habits by requiring a password or lock. :\

Yeah, I’d wait until round reset just to see if it starts working over the next few hours. And I’d also check your rank permissions to make sure you didn’t somehow change something.
Nice. Congrats.
When you create your guild bank, it’ll say that you have to be in the guild for three days before using it. The game basically treats it as though you’re a new guild member, which means there’s a three day wait period after joining a guild before you can use the bank.
So, you just have to wait the three days. Repping doesn’t matter. Just make sure you rep your personal guild to access the bank.
It just means you have to be in it for three days.
Sure you did, OP. Sure you did.

You can still change genders with a Total Makeover Kit. Being able to do so with a Hairstyle Kit wasn’t intended.
If you’re in combat, your speed will only increase to around +25% and not to the full +33%. That’s how it’s always been.

Actually I read the same thing from a Dev 6-8 months ago, that some exotics have a slightly higher chance than others… Not that it matters because it doesn’t feel like there is a difference anyway.
No dev has ever said named exotics, specifically, give you a better chance at a precursor. Now, back before they changed the Mystic Forge, the named exotics could give you a better chance at one because they were all level 80; and so, putting four named exotics in would guarantee a level 80 return. But the same thing would happen if you put in four non-named level 80 exotics. Regardless of that, since the change to the forge, even putting in four level 80 exotics won’t guarantee a level 80 item return.
I never said anything about named ones vs non, I said “that some exotics have a slightly higher chance than others”, I would find the post where it was said if I could remember the thread name with a functioning forum search engine.
Please don’t put words in my mouth then base your own argument off it.
(also read the thread where people talk about the changes that have happened to the forge)
You’re right; I assumed you were talking about named exotics. That’s my bad. But I still maintain that no dev has ever made a post saying that certain exotics, outside of putting four level 80 ones in back before the forge was changed, have a better chance at giving a precursor.
As for your italicized addition, huh? I mentioned the changes to the forge in the same post you quoted. So, I’m not sure what you mean there.
(edited by RoseofGilead.8907)
putting four named exotics in would guarantee a level 80 return.
Nope, 4 lvl 80 exotics does not guarantee you get a lvl 80 back.
I usually wind up getting a lvl 76 or 78 back from 4 lvl 80 exotics.
As Dolphin said, context is key.
“Now, back before they changed the Mystic Forge, the named exotics could give you a better chance at one because they were all level 80; and so, putting four named exotics in would guarantee a level 80 return . . . Regardless of that, since the change to the forge, even putting in four level 80 exotics won’t guarantee a level 80 item return.”

I read someplace a long time ago , that named exotics would have a better chance , than for example a pearl whatever that is crafted.
That’s not true, as far as I know. A named exotic is still just an exotic.
They won’t stack on other level 30 scrolls? That’s odd. The problem with the level 20 ones was that they made the second year ones slightly “different” from the first year, so they wouldn’t stack; but ones from the same years WOULD stack. If you’re trying to stack them on top of the level 20 scrolls, then I hope you figure out why that won’t work without us needing to say it.

“Check in every day for 21 days for big discounts, returning old favorites, and exciting new items! " " . . . the first 10 days of sales will keep stacking up, but only until August 30!"
The sale lasts for 21 days; the first 10 days of items stay for the first 10 days.
Can’t summon the will to go into depth so here’s all you need to know in note form;
- You can still play those events, go buy them, they are on sale.
No, they’re not. The events OP mentioned were all Season 1 things, with the exception of the Bazaar of the Four Winds/Queen’s Pavilion which were done during the summer last year and the year before.
Honestly, running the same path and using the same skills aren’t a definite sign of a bot; it could just be what is most efficient for that player on that character. While I personally couldn’t sit there for hours and run the same path/same skills to farm, there are plenty of players who can and do just that (in many games). So, unless they’re under the terrain or teleporting, it can be pretty hard to say if they’re botting or not. If you suspect he is botting, then report it. It will get looked at, and if he’s botting, it’ll be handled.
You could preview it at the Wardrobe and also preview a Black/Abyss dye with it, I think.
Yeah, to further clarify:
There seems to be some confusion here about what OP is talking about. OP is talking about the Candy Corn Golems; tiny versions of these can be made by throwing Maize Balm onto ambient creatures.
Some of the other people in this thread are talking about Candy Corn Nodes, which are mining nodes that give you candy corn. And yes, there is a “bug” or something that makes them randomly show up on the mini map for a split second in certain places. But that’s not what OP was talking about here.
Well, in the case of SAB, it’s broken and won’t be back until they can dedicate people to fixing it (which won’t be until they’re done releasing/taking care of HOT). And the Bazaar of the Four Winds relied heavily on the Zephyrites, and their home ship was destroyed (and, I think, everyone who is still alive is stranded in Dry Top). As for any other old content, they can’t just press a button and put it back in, especially in the case of the big world events from over a year ago. And, again, they have everyone working on HOT right now, so fixing up old events to replay before then probably isn’t going to be on the To Do List.
That being said, I’m also desperate for SOMETHING to do. But I"m not hopeful for anything.
Tomorrow is tuesday yeeh???
hang on I am furiously knocking on wood now.
But now all I can think about is this.

I don’t do dungeons and don’t care about the meta. From my point of view you are as OCD and fixated on stats as the most rabid Meta Warrior. Let it go. No one is forcing you to join the meta groups and play like them. Make your own groups and play how you like. Why in the ever loving world do you feel the need to dictate to them how they play the dungeons and what stats they use to do it. Play your own way and stop worrying about how other people play!
This is basically how I feel about it.
Where were you? Most likely, you were somewhere in the open world, and another player was dropping maize balm on ambients (which turns them into candy corn golems).
The bag slots and bank tabs come as consumable items (two bag ones and two bank ones). You can put them in your bank to use on a different character on the same account.
Yes, the dyes become tradeable/sellable once you double click on them to identify the dyes. And yes, they can also be forged.
Yeah, as long as this isn’t simply a case of you guys getting ported to the end and not hitting the threshold, I’d do as Illconceived suggested. At least a few of you do support tickets so that, at the very least, Anet knows this bug can happen.
Poultry meat
Chili peppers > All herb nodes in Ascalon
Lemongrass > Cluster of Herbs in Straits of Devastation
Snow Truffles > Snow Truffle nodes in Frostgorge Sound
Orrian Truffles > Orrian truffle nodes in Orr (and some in EB)
Rosemary Sprigs > All mature and young herb nodes
Vanilla Beans > All herb nodes in Maguuma
Peppercorns > All herb sprout, young herb, and herb seedling nodes
Dill Sprigs > Young, Mature, and Verdant herb nodes in middle-to-higher level Ascalon maps
Prickly Pears > Cacti in Dry Top and SW
Passion Flowers > Southsun
Those are what I usually make a point to go for when I’m on harvesting runs. Obviously it can be a bit of a gamble, but I usually have good luck getting what I want.

Unless someone went and deleted all evidence of the Guild Defender Boots, I think you’re just mistaken. Even going back to the old GW2 wiki entries for the PvP locker only brings up a chest, leg, and shoulder piece for that “set”. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/PvP_Guild_Defender_armor
In my experience Anet is very, very generous and understanding when it comes to an accidental purchase or miss-click. Being polite and not frequently asking for refunds for “accidents” goes a long way, too. I’d try again, if I were you.
The forums aren’t meant to be used to sell/trade items. You’ll need to do it in-game. Or you could try the GW2 reddit; I’m not sure what their rules are, though.
How to get rid of that stupid SMS request??

What lordkrall said. Use one of the other options. I didn’t give them my number, and I don’t get a prompt asking me for mine.
That is pretty odd. With guild puzzles, you should get the bonus chest as soon as you cross the threshold, not after the timer runs out. I can’t say I’ve ever seen my guild (or another guild) not get personal rewards from a puzzle mission, as long as everyone crossed the threshold.

“Unlike the other two Guild armors, this armor set only has three unique parts — the shoulder, chest and leg piece. "
There are no boots for this set.
“Queen Jennah Clone Collector”
There’s only one expansion right now, and that’s Heart of Thorns.
The sale goes on for 21 days; “new” items will be featured every day during those 21 days. The items listed during the first 10 days will stay on sale for those 10 days (until the 30th). After that, I assume that the sales will be 24 hour sales, but I’m not 100% sure on that.
I’m not sure on what time the sales will go up each day, as I didn’t check when today’s item(s) went up. But Anet isn’t likely to give a list of items ahead of time because they want to keep the suspense. They want to tempt you to buy the items you see during the flash sales, and then they want to tempt you to get more gems for the next flash sale item. That’s just how it goes (and it usually works in their favor, as far as making money goes).
There’s no way to get rid of that, as far as I know.
Yup, works for me now, too. Thanks, Pat!
The last time I checked the HOM page before today was probably four or five days, and it worked fine then.
1. You get the character slot before launch, same with all of the other bonuses given for pre-ordering.
2. All your beta characters are automatically 80 and are given gear boxes that contain armor, weapons, accessories, and consumables.
3. Any drops or anything you get on beta characters don’t carry over to your non-beta characters or bank. Similarly, anything you spend on a beta character won’t be reflected on your non-beta characters. This includes any gold, karma, spirit shards, transmutation charges, etc.
Also confirming that it’s broken. None of my character names will load.
Make sure you don’t have a different part of the personal story currently activated.
For the OP, I don’t think you can get a ground chest if your actual level is 10 or more levels below that of the event. (And most of the time, you couldn’t even do enough damage to get credit, regardless of any other mechanics in play.)
For the Opie (not the OP), it sounds as if you are experiencing the same sort of event DR that people see with Rhendak. Try doing some other events with your L80 Charrcomancer or bring in a different toon.
Shatterer is a level 50 event, I believe. So, OP wasn’t too low level. But if OP parks his toons at that event and only does that one event, they could have the DR issue like Opie probably has.
Yeah I have checked out the wardrobe. I’ll go over it again tho. This is my First charr I’ve always played humans but I am tired of getting sick whispers from role players while I’m afk.
Really? I can’t say I’ve ever had that happen. I’ll see their emotes and stuff, but they won’t try to pull me into it.
If the volume of reports about toxic chat in FGS get close to what they were in QDale, what do you think ANet will do? I doubt they’d “Veteranize” the FGS champs, but they could address such behavior by lengthening the respawn timers. That they have not suggests that the volume of toxicity in FGS is less. I’ve never seen any toxic chat in FGS at all. Then again, I saw very little in QDale. I’ve seen plenty of forum complaints about QDale chat, but the only ones I’ve seen (besides your current post) about FGS were the Coiled Watch issue with the LS conflict — which has been addressed.
They already have changed/nerfed the FGS champ train by making all champs events and making the fish/kodan/norn all one big event (and also making their respawn time longer). The chat did get toxic at times, but honestly it was way worse in Queensdale. And the Coiled Watch behavior stuff was also worse than the general old FGS champ train.
