Have you already tried playing Dress Up with the bank wardrobe? That’s how I usually find my armor combos. My charr ele (who is female but has the same model as male for a vast majority of armor skins) used the Monocle, Aetherblade chest, CoE legs, and various different gloves/boots/shoulders. I thought it looked pretty darn neat. Right now, she’s just using the heritage armor, which also looks pretty good on her.
Are there other multi-use items which can stack with each other? I’m struggling to think of any. cue someone instantly thinking of a dozen
I don’t think there are any, bar one-time consumable items, which I don’t think really count here.
Gathering tools don’t stack either, which was the very first thing I thought of.
wintersday boxes stack
Wintersday boxes are one-time consumables.
Really, you think you’re buying a stack of 100 mining picks that each have only a single use? Seriously, don’t be silly.
Actually yea thats what I thought. Because after I use it for a couple of whacks it seems to break and use another.
It’s more that the ore node you’re mining runs out of ore, not that you’re breaking a pick.
I’m not trying to be insulting here, but are you standing at a TP NPC? You can’t pick up anything from the TP without going to one of the TP NPCs.
Assuming you have the actual llamas in your inventory, simply press Alt and then click and drag the stack to split it.

Probably because the Goonies reference is simply having the Tool Belt skills, which means there aren’t any annoying, unnecessary shrieks going along with it. Warrior is just fine with its current amount of shrieking; no need to add anime ones.
Only one or two per chapter, depending on the missions and boosts used. And you have to be certain levels to progress to the next personal story chapter (10 for chapter 1, 20 for 2, and so on).
Those items aren’t currency; they’re strictly crafting mats. And you can make Mawdrey and Princess to eat your bloodstone dust and dragonite ore (and you’ll be able to the get the empyreal star at Wintersday). If you don’t have those and don’t want to make them, you can just refine them or delete them.
Bank tabs are more valuable and useful (to me) than storage expanders. And I honestly don’t consider black lion keys to be of good value. But I do agree with the other ones on your list.
I really need to just finish Prophecies and get to HoM. It’s so hard to get motivated for that though, even with the guarantee of 6 points when I do it. I haven’t even finished with the Charr and moved on to Dwarves.
Actually, you could just level your toon to around level 10 or so, make your way to Lion’s Arch (the mission Gates of Kryta leads you to it), and then go to EOTN by taking the quest What Lies Beneath (given by Len Caldoron). You’re upleveled to level 20 for all of the EOTN content, so you won’t be too underpowered or anything.
The really good part about that is you get 2 heroes, Ogden, a monk, and Vekk, an elementalist for very little effort. Both are much better than any henchmen you might be using.
Yup! Plus, if you just go outside of that starting EOTN outpost and talk to Jora, you’ll be able to just run right to the Eye of the North (only needing to fight maybe six mobs on the way) to unlock a mesmer hero. Three useful heroes for minimal effort.

As far as I know, it’d only be viewable on you (not on your clones/illusions).
Yeah, the Trading Post icon isn’t even on the UI when you’re on a beta character, nor is the Guild icon. So, I’m not sure how one would use the TP on a beta slot.

It is the principle of the thing. Changing the buff in a shady and secretive manner. No warning. Couple that with the way they silently removed karma boosters from the enchanted booster selection and the whole patch gets really shady.
Actually it wasn’t secretive and shady, the entire change to Boosts was highlighted in a Blog post on October 11th, and all the new boosts last 2 Hours, if you are seeing anything less than 2 hours it’s a bug: https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/complete-booster-overhaul-and-dwaynas-weapon-set-in-the-gemstore/
The person you quoted was largely talking about how the karma option was completely removed from Enchanted Boosters. You can’t select Karma anymore, and that wasn’t written anywhere on the patch notes or the blog posts.
You will always get gear of all three weights (heavy, medium, and light). You can choose to unlock the skin (either by salvaging or right-clicking to choose Unlock skin) or just sell the items, regardless of their weight. And there aren’t any “important” sets that drop; armor skins can be mixed, and there’s no bonus for having all of the same skin set.
You only need one campaign and EotN to be able to get HoM points. However, it can be very annoying to get the points without all three campaigns (plus EotN). Getting all three gives you access to heroes (Nightfall and EotN, specifically), rare pets (Black Widow in Proph, phoenix and black moa in Factions), the Wayfarer’s Reverie event (which lets you get a tormented weapon to put in your HoM), etc. Plus, getting Nightfall means you can go to Kamadan to trade with other players for items you might need for your HoM.
Don’t you have to use the actual Agony Infusions (the ones that drop from Fractals) for that slot?
I haven’t known a bride; including myself who wore a garter to hold up anything. It was part of the reception and got tossed to the single guys who attended much like the bouquet to the single girls.
Just because you read it on wiki doesn’t mean its 100% only works that way. o_O
This. In the US (and in many other Western countries, at least), a garter like the one in the human wedding outfit is purely for decoration and for throwing at the menfolk during a wedding reception. Generally, it’s far more common now to either wear full stockings or to opt for a garter belt/suspenders, which is worn at the waist and attaches to the top of a thigh-high stocking.
When I was out in the open world and the Hylek started talking…my character SPOKE BACK to them! In the open world!
<3
This is amazing.
Yeah, I thought that was pretty neat . . .
. . . until my character started repeating her dialogue to the hylek when another player walked up to the them to trigger their own conversation with them. And this was after having walked a good ways away from the npcs.
Yeah, as Illconceived said, Arah Story doesn’t exist anymore; it’s now just a personal story step. But you should still be able to enter all of the other dungeon story modes as normal.
I just checked my steam, and it would take a ~$30-40 investment (depending on if I buy the trilogy or just the base game), plus several hours of playing a game I have no real interest in for me to get that armor.
Actually, you wouldn’t have to do anything other than link your GW1 base campaign+EOTN to your GW2 account to get half of the Heritage armor skins. And you’d only need three more points to get the gloves, helm, and shoulders to finish off the sets, which really wouldn’t take too much time at all.
Update your ticket simply means replying to the email with a note that your problem wasn’t resolved. So, as long as you’ve done that (and haven’t made a whole new ticket), they should get back to you again (probably sooner than three days).
Did you update your ticket to let them know that you still are unable to delete the character?
Really? This is about pvp getting a unique backpack skin? Come on now.
Apparently I missed something. What’s going to be an exclusive pvp reward?

Is there balm in Gilead? Hmm perhaps that’s a sylvari thing. I never saw them in a couple of completions. ( Human and Norn. )
Yes, there is.
And it’s an option for all races. It starts with choosing Marching Orders, after doing Further Into Orr.
The Pale Reavers were actually from the main Personal Story. You can choose to work with them during one or two of the Orr missions. They’ve always been a favorite of mine, and I love seeing them back in action.
It will offer no more less abuse options than a commander tag or suggesting people to press “Alt+F4” or “F12+space” in map chat.
That’s how I feel about it. This won’t make people troll more than they already do; it’ll just give them a different way to do it, if they want to. Luckily, the trolls are still the minority.
No, the stability isn’t meant to pulse. It’s basically just meant to be a stun break for the necro who drops it, with 1 second of stability. The pulsing only applies to removing conditions.
No, you can’t change stats on back items, rings, or other accessories.
No, minis don’t take up player slots on a map.
Yeah, I tried it on my mesmer to see what would happen. Bad things happened.
I also did it the necro way. Built up my life force to full, jumped in the quicksand, went into DS once my health was low, and then waited for it to finish.
For those of us who have repetitive motion sickness issues that would be a game ender.
What? The bird is tiny and, more often than not, is not even seen because you’ll have the TP window open as it’s flying off. Motion sickness would not be triggered by this except in a case where the person had already been triggered by something else.
Anet should know better than to use it for the TP – it’s a bank transfer over the ethereal network that has nothing to do with carrier mail – if they want to be genre correct, they need to remove that ridiculous action.
Huh? What genre are you talking about? Mail carriers are obviously part of the GW2 universe, so it’s “genre correct” for the game.
The level rating on an item just shows the lowest possible rated recipe you can make with them. In the case of walnuts, there’s just one recipe that can be made at rating 60; the other recipes require 100 or higher.
No, there’s no way to change the skin or use the item without another human character.
That may not be true. You may be able to reset it in the forge with the new reciepies they just added
Hm. True.
Edit: Yup, you should be able to do it that way, since you can pull it into any character’s inventory.

No, there’s no way to change the skin or use the item without another human character.
You can do as the person below me suggested: put it in the forge like you would to change its stats.

Aha, I THINK I found the way we’re meant to go now. But thanks for the offer to help, Ill.
So, there’s a different way we were meant to be taking? Because that was the way I’ve taken since the very first time I did it. I didn’t see another way to get up to stash 4, and I actually had to use an experimental rifle to get to the stash this time. I’ve never had to do that before. That’s why I feel like this is a bug, unless there’s something I’m just completely missing (which is entirely possible).
(edited by RoseofGilead.8907)
So, I haven’t done the Troll’s Revenge JP in a few days. I decided to run it just now, and I’m right at the little area next to Stash #4. The wood planks that we’re supposed to jump on aren’t there anymore. Is there another way we were supposed to be doing the JP that I just missed, or is this a bug?
Yes, that’s how the mail carrier works. When you send mail, receive mail, sell items on the TP, etc. a mail carrier brings the items to you/carries them away.

Why would I tell you? I’m making bank on chilis and you think your going to try to make me look stupid with a Wiki link? If you really wanted to know, you would have simply asked … nicely. Do you actually think running around Ascalon for hours and farming every herb node the most effective approach? Think about that a bit.
It’s THAT kind of thinking that makes chilis 27s.
He did ask nicely, so I’m not sure what your tantrum here is about. He wasn’t trying to make you look stupid.
But anyway. Yeah, farming herb nodes (especially in areas that tend to have several nodes close together, such the Northeast corner of Blazeridge Steppes) is the only way to actually farm them. I also seem to have good luck getting chili peppers from the daily reward for doing Daily Region Forager; so, I’d recommend doing those dailies anytime they pop up.
You could also try farming the nightmare court in Caledon Forest for the Tiny Thorn Bags (or buying from the TP), but I honestly have never had much luck from those. And you can try your luck with map completion rewards (I’ve gotten them as a reward once or twice).
You could try salvaging them or forging them.
Make sure you have the full amounts needed, and then try changing up the order you’re putting them in. Sometimes the forge decides it doesn’t want to let you put certain items in before other items, but changing the order a bit will usually fix it.
As was already pointed out, prizes (including the cash prizes) for tournaments and widely promoted events like this are almost always sponsor donations. This isn’t part of Anet’s budget being set aside for prizes. So, I don’t have any problem with the “costs”, really. I don’t personally participate in, watch, or care about the “esports” side of GW2, though, so I tend to just tune out any mention of it.
You need 3 of each profession except the ranger to get all of them (21 total). Rangers choose a pet instead of an item and those aren’t transferable.
I think ele has four “skins” (one for each of the elements).
The thing is this thread could mean different things to different people. For instance biscuit is the UK equivalent of US cookies, while the US biscuit is the equivalent of UK fried dumplings. I kid you not.
A biscuit in the US is far closer to a scone (minus the fruit added to the dough) than it is fried dumplings. Or at least I’ve yet to see a single US biscuit come anywhere close to resembling what I think of when I think of dumplings (the flour/salt/water combo that goes into chicken and dumplings and then potstickers/gyoza).
