Achivement Wars?

I don’t see that much has changed really. Of course having a faster cycle for the living story means more potential achievement points in a shorter time – that is a good thing.
Having separate categories – for example the gauntlet – is in my view also a good thing, I can still complete the “story” part and ignore content I might not be able to or want to finish.
Having a basic daily living story achievement to ensure everyone will be able to get one reward – also a good thing.
Having an option at the log in screen (personally I don’t see the use in that one yet) is also a good thing – if you don’t like it just change it back.

The achievement system (imo) is meant as a reward for aging accounts, if I want to get there faster I certainly can – but there is no need stressing over it.

The system is getting refined and becoming better, maybe that is why some perceive it as more dominant right now, until you get used to it.

At the end of the day I make myself my own pressure. I don’t really do dungeons, if I felt I needed that one armour set – I might not have fun doing the dungeon for it. Contrary to the dungeons I don’t have to focus on achievement points, they will come, just the amount changes perhaps according to what I do or don’t do.

I didnt take into account the karma consumables I used after the update after spending the karma on orrian box’s and getting more consumable and then using those up to. In total i have used up over 3 million karma worth in karma consumables AFTER the update….meaning iv lost a crap ton of karma because of this Anet foul up……

Yeah, long term there is no reason. Guess they can’t give us straight out karma because then the modifiers would work again, e.g. popping the karma booster before you unlock the monthly reward.

To me this item is not of much interest. I very rarely run out of bagspace and “have” to salvage something and just run out of my 25 stack of basic ones. Granted, I have to visit my bank anyways every once in a while since I don’t have a permanent contract, but this item does not totally replace the need for other kits (of higher quality) so I will always have some of those as well.

The gathering tools are a convenience because I have run out of them and it just makes me grrr standing in front of a node and have to leave with empty hands

Maybe I’ll change my mind once we will break down blues etc for MF, we’ll see.

I’ve been doing the QP and I don’t see where people are claiming to get all this money from. The big bad simply gives me a boat load of greens that are worth nothing, some gear currency, a tube of karma and that’s it. I’m not seeing the vets around them dropping anything other than some T5/T6 mats whose prices have plummeted. Where’s all the “good” loot people are claiming that they are raking in?

Not that I can say I’m “raking” that cash in, been doing around 6-10 champs per day. I vendor all blues and green’s except lvl 80 weapons for forge. I often have yellow drops, 2 exotics so far and a few cores/lodestones. Pretty much doing this daily since last saturday I believe. Since this came together for me with the wallet I can’t absolutely say how much I made, maybe 8G (did not sell anything on TP)?

Are you representing someone when taking a round? I haven’t used MF gear but I have some on it and with the buff I’m a bit over 200%.

I usually get mine from Frostgorge and Orr (malchor/cursed). All the nodes stay where they are until a patch. However the overflow map is different, maybe that is what happened?

Orrmaps usually shows me the old locations after a patch, so unless I would wait a day or two …

Mouhappai – you should be happy that there is a slider now, no need to feel embarrassed that people might not like it – because the ones who don’t like it don’t have to get mad and irritated – they can simply mute you without you knowing.

I play without sound most of the time anyways, but I’m glad they keep on introducing more instruments. Maybe one day we can have concerts similar to the ones in Lotro.

Sadly the whole thing turns out to be just a gold sink. The minute “support” packages showed up at the store I could just shake my head.

I will still support Kiel with the tokens that drop for me and see if I can do some achievements – but my interest had been severely diminished at that point.
