Yes and no. People that complained for all this time most likely not had a severely reduced acquisition rate in mind, but more and alternate ways of spending the currency.
Taking “things” away is never popular and I am sure they anticipated all these threads.

They could have also made some ascended crafting materials (not just the shards) available for karma with a price range of the rare weapons around 30-60k. At the end of the day it only inflates the currency.

I am more sad about the fact that the “food” is almost useless now. Maybe I should just eat those things on cooldown to get rid of it, for some reason I don’t really like deleting stuff.

Under Attachments on the bottom, choose file.

Edit: Perhaps not all forums allow attachments, tried it here right now and even it tells me it’s uploaded and I see it in the preview it does not show. Could also be a temp bug.

Apart from all the “technical” stuff that has been already mentioned the only thing I would like to add is – do not get discouraged by unfriendly people. Always just ask if you have a question, in-game or here. There will often be “smart” people who may call you noob or the like, just disregard them – the majority of people are quite nice.

I finally reached the double time gate with quartz btw. Never bought any so my personal stash has been finally depleted and now it will take around 5 days I guess to craft another one day time gated item (depending on how many ‘rich’ nodes I strike, I do seem to get them fairly often).

No I don’t. Usually the bags are full with some stuff and they can always be parked at a JP or a harvesting node or something. For example one of my low level alt’s is currently just sitting in front of the home instance, he is my current quartz-man. That said I do intent to level him eventually.

The answer is – no. The only way would be, as far as I know, to contact customer support. (Edit: But often these kind of services, if available, are limited. Not sure about the rules exactly but don’t expect to be able to ask them every week – this might be possible only a few times per account.)

One other option, if this is just about having a flower backpiece, the desert rose is very similar, just red, and available on the TP.

The only practical advice I would have is to roll a die 50 times and add the numbers up.

Personally? I like not to think about it and will just keep on salvaging. Then, one day I’ll be at 300% and my next achievement chest will award one more % and I will be like: “Doh!”

The other day my husband picked up the game again- he hasn’t played since December.
He is very excited- he doesn’t know about the champ train in Queensdale and merrily runs around setting off events and calling cheerfully in map- because that is what we did when the game came out. He is on a starter character in a starter map.

You should have seen that dog fight between two different champ trains.
So he asks me what is up with that and has everyone lost their minds?

Farmers used to be tucked away in COF p1 now they are unleashed en masse.

Queensdale is not really pretty I agree. It could be great on paper, but I don’t think it works out nicely in reality.

I think in general that he simply is too bland. Which is actually well done and the OP raises (or reminds me personally) a few good points.

Perhaps it’s simply that he does not stand a chance after meeting Warmaster Forgal Kernsson. He (Forgal) doesn’t treat me anything special but you sort of want to prove yourself to him. Is it a very complex character? I don’t think so, pretty straight forward. Which is why you can “trust” him.

If someone spends 25 years behind enemy lines I expect him to be a battle hardened veteran and act like one. With Traherne I’m more on edge, he could have gone nuts, right? How do I know he still has it in him? He talks like in trance, you almost expect him to betray you at some point because zhaitan had already turned him.

Well ok, going a bit overboard here perhaps, this is just meant for illustration.

At the end of the day Traherne just did not pique my interest. On the other hand I did not feel like he was stealing my show either, I was adequately celebrated. Perhaps too real having to listen to boring speeches.

I guess you could say I sort of did. I am not going to try to enter the main map hours in advance and when the info pops up you know you are going to end up in overflow. It’s just not that interesting (I do think the event itself is well done!).

I don’t see the difference between the previous event farms, temple farms, cof1 farms, dragon farms (to a lesser extend maybe) …

Personally I don’t “farm” for hours on end, but I definitely enjoy hopping on the train for a few rounds with a character, hitting the nodes while I’m at it, switching to another character and doing another round.

But I think you are right OP, everything should only reward anything only once a day, that will show those players to neglect the plethora of other content!

One fractal a day, one story dungeon, one explorable dungeon, no matter which one, that’s it! PvP tournaments/matches? One! WvW defending/capturing a fort or slapping a dolyak? Once a day! Activities? One. Game. Per. Day. Any kind of event or heart, exploring vistas etc … that’s right, one a day each, otherwise they will burn out.

Where to get good Karma items?

Do yourself a favor and don’t waste Karma on Rare or Exotic LVL 35 equipment….not since the recent updates that removed easy karma farming from the game.

Prior to LVL 80, you do not need to “gear up” with rares and exotics….it’s just not necessary. Buying a Rare main weapon from a racial vendor is ok, but spending the karma for full armor at LVL 35 (actually LVL 40) is a huge waste.

I second this, first thought I had. Unless maybe you really really like the look, but not for stats at lvl 35.
