Pet Syngery? When will my kitten pet reach any WWW player, even if they’re laughing kitten a fort wall? 30% DMG POOF GONE, no way they can fix these situations…

As you see below, Stealth (which’s useability starts from 5s, no less!) goes PBS, since its the nearly perfect way to distract enemies and retreat/bite from nothing.
Hunter’s Shot goes tricky this time.
Longbow: Basic war tool
Long Range Shot – 0pt – Shoot your foe from long range (~1400). Stable DPS. Casting time 0.10 – 0.75 depending how far your target is! The closer you are, the more risk you take, the more dmg you can deal.
This is realistic, and would make a very nice challange for everyone. Stay behind safe and work normaly or deal with the risk of being killed but deal a little more because of ROF. It would also help hunters to not being primary hunted…
Rapid Fire – 4pt – Same as now, 1200 range. Only difference is to make it casting faster, so the applied vulnerability & damage can go more like Boom or Waste. Requires bit harder decision to risk, but also more rewarding and power representing.
Hunter’s Shot – 5pt – Complete change based on buffed Mercy Shot: Fire a shot that strikes for more damage the less health your target has. 5s protection if target has above 75% HP.
Point Blank Shot – 3pt – Push back your foe with a point-blank shot. The closer they are, the farther it pushes them back. +5 sec of stealth applied. 10 sec if target hit from the behind.
Barrage – 5pt – Mobile Cast would be nice, and what about Revealed?

- Barrage: It is the only way in WWW to get some Hit for loot. Somehow we rangers get mutch less loot. Even me getting a lot of badges and loot meanwhile playing on Warrior, so I just don’t get it…
- WWW last night: Thieve gone stealth all the time, only came up for one ~12k hit time to time…
- In WWW the 1200 range is nothing. How should we hit the teleporters?

It is a vaild point that this “content” isn’t a returning one, however they will not remove the Scarlet’s Supply Bags from your inventory, just won’t drop anymore, as Dragon Coffers for a good while. So I still don’t really get it. About the Fix: Until these are “broken”, I don’t know how they expect us to get it. Asurans and Charrs are in trouble here…

Yes, that too. They have 2-3k stabs, roughly ~1k more dmg at even higher ROF.
Design flaw? They are. All pickup weapons should offer special things, and a solid damage in case of need. Including Ice Bow that’s barrage deals twice the damage.
These all should be combo-field makers.
Y’know… I’m used to kill chickens with cow pies, duel bears with driftwood and hunt skritts with gardener hoe.

Well it is a core problem with GW2 that the atmosphear filters are boring, and ruining the overall graphycs. You can edit/turn it off with SweetFX, but that would effect all the areas, so meanwhile Gendarran fields looks beautiful, Iron Marches looks more crap than ever.
I believe there will be good Optimalisations soon, and later they’ll upgrade DX10/11 and hopefully the overal graphycs gets a tweak, since they seem boring/static.

You can still exchange Dragon Bash and Zephyr Sanctum currencies.
So why they don’t add these to the NPC who sells these??
Personally, I would like to buy it, but they’re still bugged and unuseable at many places.

IMO it looks the best amongst MMOs, but still an eyecandy. Everything is so…
so… friendly and kind. I miss scary places… I miss realism… I miss bumpmapping/tesselation… I miss weathers, seasons…
But what I miss mostly is the well built maps. TESO may wins this fight for now.

I have an exotic shortbow (critter), and it kills bit pve1v1 faster than my ascended longbow (critter), due to slow ROF of LB. So far the best which would work well;
LB AA 1500 range, the closer your target is, the faster you cast. + overall faster projectiles, they’re veeeery slow, and 1200 range is just… not mutch.
But a gardener hoe does more dmg than my GS even

LOL! Best of luck with any improvements to our downed state. It’s the only thing most everyone can agree on being overpowered.
We /try to/ play WWW. Only scenario it works good is when 1v1, or you manage to die where nobody looking at. It can’t outheal any zerg output btw, and thats good, but a single “pull me away 10meter please” addon on skill activation would be a very kind gift from Devs. Just like Warrior GS#3 spinning works.
This simple modification can help a lot when dieing under enviromental effect (lava, rockfalls, etc), and in WWW, that little plus it gives would also save us 1 of 10 times.

It’s an old suggestion. We “Custom playlist” users ask for more folders, so we can mix where and what we want to hear. Otherwise it can be really creepy.

It would be the job of level1 maps to train-out players.
For example, when you go deeper to Queensdale, it should go teatch you how to stealth from Taimi raids, how to dodge boar charges, debuff the oakhearts, condition removals at gups, etc.

I do agree. I don’t get it why a name changer is so kitten expensive. It WORKS, and it has no more cost for the programmers to do it, because its programmed methood.

I do agree. Their mobility is equal to Rangers & Thieves, who both are pinpointed “AGILITY” fighter. WvW should be about Scouts report, people support, some do special tasks, and warriors are kind of tanks who move slowly but they’re serious.
Slowing them down would make WWW feel mutch better at less rush.
It is time to make ALL classes needed for some kind of sieges. Just like in a BattleField game. Everyone is needed. If some messing from a fort wall, ask Rangers to neutralize them. Spotted the healers and commanders? Thieves will fulfill the contract.
Elementalists and Engineers are the two side of same coin, go ahead, let them do their job. Etc…

Let’s make it clear then
Every class has 100% base player damage by itself, and their unique bar gives more dmg or special things.
While I didn’t read the original 70:30 post it quite obviously derived from a dev who said that Rangers are expected to bring some damage through their pet. But this also applies to other classes who have damaging class mechanics because the class mechanics are most likely not exlcuded when balancing their damage. Everything else does not make any sense at all. This means that the class mechanic has to be included for all Mesmers, all Warriors, at least power Necromancers, most Engineers and even situationally for Thieves. Comparing Ranger 70:30 to Warrior to 100:15(F1) is just inaccurate.
Okay, let’s make it clear then. As an average, classes have ~75% dmg of possible fully.
Then when they trait on it, they’ll have maximum of “100%”, + the F skills give additional dmg or features. It should matter what you trait on. If you go for damage, then go, other hands there are survivality, support, and beastmaster for us.
But as you see, most of us prefer Pets to don’t deal dmg that counts while Untraited for it.
I personally would not mind if the pet was gone but I don’t think it would fit the original class design. However, I’m not sure if it is true that most want the pet to be gone or to deal no damage. I know many people who love their pet. Therefore, you probably should not talk about ‘most of us’ when it just represents your point of view.
There is no mutch reason for pets to be gone, devs will decide it anyway.
What matters here is their worth. IF you trait up on Beast Master, then its logical to use your pet for competitive damage output in side of yours. IF NOT, then just a base dmg line, and still useable buffs/debuffs.
However, permastow should give you some buff to compensate your lack of “extended arm”, which pets meant to be.
@ No CDs: Balancing Thieves are out of this topic, but this isn’t a real issue. Or at least it shouldn’t be. Problem is on AN’s side, they put up “one shot kill” skills as balance and wonder why they seem unbalanced.
If one shot skills were the issue you would not see anyone spamming skills on one target. The main problem with Initiative is that it encourages solely using your most effective skill. That is why people spam PW etc. I don’t want to see something like that because it emphasizes brainless button mashing. It might also be very difficult to balance because Rangers could also use evade spam this way. No fun for anyone besides the troll using it.
The problem isn’t with the non-cd methood. That itself is a very nice next-gen design!
The reason thieves spam skills are because it does kitten mutch damage and they autoaim targets.
For a melee weapon thats just pure idiotism IMO. BUT:
Imagine when we would be able to stop LRS AA and use our weapon skills without CD.
As mentioned in my new redesign, you can shoot 2x Rapid Fire or 2x Barrage before you get “exhausted”. Does that OP? Not. If that dual rapid fire would make ~18k dmg in ~5 seconds, that would be JUST EQUAL to most of other classes. This is why I’m suggesting it hard, because my design would give ~everything we need without being OP.

AN is pretty lost at definicions and at logic. The way they want to be unique always goes things being under or overdesigned. I’ts not our fault that they just F$&#> up everything that most people want and we got used to – including millions of fans.

But in the main manifesto of THEIRS, EVERYONE should be capeable to do anything, so let’s trait for it. They’ve promised classes to be ~Equal at anything. We’re pretty far from that.

Permastow is a hard question… It would be OK if it gives some non-dmg wise buff in exchange of losing that “catch” ability. You guys may not tought about the possibility to get a New F1-F4 bar for Preparations/Traps meanwhile Pet is stowed!!!!!

As stated in the CDI topic, rangers aren’t supposed to burst damage, we are supposed to do sustained damage with survivability, oh and we are the pet class.
Rangers ARE supposed to burst damage.
Go and try hunt down a deer by throwing eggs on it…
Sustain dmg is for the casters, and for those who praise Defense first.

I’m not dying to PvE mobs. There are a few who can still finish me in downed, but I usually fight versus 3-5 in the same time. Those kill the pets, so I can’t just move a mile away like an elementalist.

Stealth is always risky to implement to an MMO/Multiplayer. The Fix:
- Brake Stealth on taking & landing damage
- Revealed should last minimum of ~8s
- Stealth should not buff any damage at all. Maybe take a little…
Stealth leads people reckness, and its quite unfair advantage.
Even if NPCs see no difference between stealthed and normal players most of the time. (it just brakes aggro and hidden do-not-attack condition appealed)

- Downed Pet heal: It heals good, but at dangerous places, you just stay there meanwhile your pet just dies. We can’t go elswhere like a lot of other class…
- Sustain dmg in pve is Acceptable. Try WWW, they’ll ROFL at you.
- Somehow I meet with Engineers in pvp who just as uncatchable as an Elementalist. Maybe you should retrait.
- As you see, Ranger is highly on number1 at “What’s broken?” list. Check our CDI, it’s getting ridicoulos.

I do kill most of elementalists. But there is a build I see, it hits 8Ks to me and just fully heals up meanwhile attacking. What happens when I seem like to win the duel?
Ele goes invulnerable, heals fully up, then starts the thing above again…
So that build is seriously overpowered, even if its the only one like ranger’s bunker is/was.

Okay Allie, I’ll give you some emoticional feedback… I’m really angry now…
Last few days in wWw:
- Sick’Em: Reveal does not work. 4s is nothing to wait for thieves, instead they more likely to agressively attacking us… + 40% pet DMG does not mean anything when it can’t even hit it once…
- Protect Me!: THIS ONE DOES NOT WORK AT ALL It worth like putting a flower into the barrel of an M1 Abrams.
- Pets move 30% faster trait does not working too.
- We terribly lack survivality!
- DMG boost traits does not even working… Even the LRS’s distance dmg boost (which is just a terrible idea when everything appears in your face, and keeping distance would be enough selfrewarding by itself) does not working also. Same low damages.
- Hunter’s Shot is just lame. Aimbot of the game puts it on instant 3s CD instead of hitting the target. Not to mention this 3s Stealth also worthless.
- Due to lack of burst damages, the only way to keep it acceptable is to ignore most of survivality:
- Thieves press button 1 or 2 twice, 10k x 2, I’m down already within 2 seconds. They’re in stealth for kitten long, can’t do anything. Their jump in the face is a horrible mech here!
- The only class needs that Initiative system is RANGER
GW1’s Assassins had a Chained skill system, that one was fair and deffendable, but still deadly!
Warriors should also get back the adrenaline weapon skill useages, it was a very good & revolutionary methood. But this is an another topic…
I’m a really good balanced Ranger and I know I play it very well.
BUT! When I meet some solo roamers, they just go invulnerable, invisible, always refilling HP ~fully, and we have no skills to lock them down to damage!!
I’m shooting LB LRS between 1800-3000 depending on RNG, Zerg boost (if any) and foods that should be banned out from WvW. My TANK BUILD warrior does this damage twice in the same time!! Even my dagger+focus necro does nearly the same with conditions, but mutch faster.
So I don’t know how will this update effect us, but I can bet this will be far less than enough. Please Allie, make me wrong…

So far the best design I can imagine is:
Pet control F1-F4/5 skills used to be a selectable Shout to the pet, so they do the shout skills available now. Attack, Defend (ally), Condition target, search & rescue, etc.
I don’t see the point why should we waste skillbar slots on pet-control skills…
They really needs to be integrated to the pet controls itself!

Pets are part of the Ranger. They should reach/catch what We can’t.
They’re like the extension of our arms, and thats good.
In a way, they can be really good “ultility” bonus like all other classes has.
Arenanet will improve AI for all NPC, including our pets.
The only question is the control quality of them, and arenanet’s self-standards (which seems like they ignor a lot…) should be to make it the best amongst all the games ever made.
Enough of Pets. Enough of Traits. 52 pages of it “should be enough” by now
Let’s discuss about Ourselves! The way WE can fight; Dynamics.
In lack of heavy defense and the name of pinpointed Agility, we need to Evade a “lot” while fighting.

Diferent weights? Sorry, I don’t get it. It may cause some problem to prevent clipping, but looks like they didn’t made a proper design on scales, just started to.

Why Guild Wars 2 separates light-medium-heavy armors to wield?
Counter-execuses:
- To notice classes? A guardian and a warrior can look the same but they’re very different on effect. Even Engineer and Thief, Mesmer and ele. What we check is the attack animations, not the skins. Not to mention Zergs where people disappear in the effect mass :o
- Because of armor rating? Lock it on class tier then!
- We want people to look like clones again. – No, you Devs are not That evil.
- It wouldn’t be a nice thing to ~triple the useable skins for everyone. – Sarcasm!
