Lol I know at least he is creative with the name. There is no question what he is.

Lol waht a surprise, BT seems to be gone and so is Benedinct Yarnold.

You should tell him to at least create a guild here that might make him look a little more legit, and I expect it to be as creative as his in game name.

Don’t try to be funny here, at first you called us “80 men zerg” back in the day; now “60 men zerg”, and “spyder men zerg”?

How many time were both TC and FA charged in face to face at the same time? You KNEW we are there too, should we call “DIS must have spy in FABL” as well?

And it wasn’t just BT and friends vs DIS. DIS also had PiNK, TSP, and other friends.

Please stop finding excuse for youself or you will wipe to us over and over and over again.

We don’t have a spy, though.

As far as our ‘big numbers’ – I’ve been on both sides of the coin – Against FA and With FA – and it’s really weird from different POVs — both sides look outmanned. but really the numbers are equal or close. I have fraps of some of the fights that I take just to see what we do well, and what we need to work on, and I assure you – we’re all like ‘WOW LOOKIT THAT HUGE ZERG’ just as much as y’all probably do. =P

I agree it alwaysd looks bigger, that is why I screenshot them and count so I can get a better idea of what the numbers are.

So everytime we see this guy at our spawn BT is on the map and you guys magically know exactly which way we are leaving our spawn and beat us there lol.

I counted in the screenshot, you guys had about 60, not all BT. we had 38, not all DIS.

Either way numbers don’t matter.

I’ll be brief. I have no problem with the dungeon/grouping concept by choice, but I’ve had it with new dungeons being the only answer to continued PvE development in the game.

Why does every major PvE concept, whether Personal Story, Living Story or special events have to end with forced group instancing? I’d like to complete my personal story, Flame & Frost and experience Super Adventure Box on my time without having to deal with the random and varied expectations of strangers, much less their schedules.

Grouping for anything should be a choice, not a requirement.

Give me slower progression, less reward per run. I don’t care. It gives me something to do when I play. As it stands, you only produce walls which actively discourage me from playing the game.

Hmmmm… MMO – Massively Multiplayer

This would tell me that I should be playing with others. There are games made for crabby people that don’t like to group up and they are called SPRPG’s.

By the way, the super adventure box can be done solo, it scales down lol.

Love the “M in MMO” crowd. Playing with others does not mean grouping. In ten years of supposed “M in MMO” games I’ve spent the bulk of my time ungrouped, crafting, exploring, traveling, leveling, etc, yet still interacting with other players.

Never fails to amuse me when brought up. Funnier still that most of the big MMOs have an “automatically reject group invites” checkbox as well. Now, if MMO means “group” why do they do that?

Please name one big MMO that does not require grouping to get end game gear. Besides GW2.

This is the least social game out there and the OP still has a problem with it. I don’t think MMO’s are for the OP.

So, you define all MMO gameplay down to getting “end game gear” Oki Doki.

I’m mostly using all berserker gear. And to Ruprect I’m not trolling I suppose I’m just bad. It sounds like most people especially warriors don’t have much trouble so it’s probably just me. I’ve never been in a dungeon group I’m afraid I’ll ruin other folks fun by being bad. I do like doing group events if others are around though.

If you are being serious -

You have plenty of gold to get into a full set of rare knights gear. Get all knights weapons and armor. GS/Rifle are fine for PvE in Orr. Use a 20/30/0/0/20 traits build, you will kill stuff so fast it wont have a chance to hit you. With this build I can take on multiple mobs at once anywhere in orr. There is no reason to run full GC unless you are planning on doing speed runs, PVT or Knights armor and weapons, I would recommend Knighs because you still kill fast but can take much more of a beating..

I didn’t mean to be a kitten but you came in saying you were the most faceroll class in the game in full rares and were dying in orr, there are so many trolls on the forums its hard to tell sometimes.

You are doing it wrong. I farm Orr all the time with any of my 6 80’s and never have a problem. We need more information to help you.

What build?
What weapons/Armor? Are you in all lvl 30 blues?
What level are you?

Remove world completion token, wvw token and dungeon tokens from legendary also remove the star. And it’s done. Everyone is happy.

Some people don’t like fighting open world after hitting max level, some of them do not like dungeons and some simply do not like pvp. If you remove these, everyone can craft their legendary, or make profit with their style of gameplay.

I say just mail everyone a legendary and call it a day. All problems solved.

Play how you want but they shouldn’t reward people like YOU for running with the herd and spamming 1 whilst lagging out everything within 1000m of you.

I have no problem with skill lag except for huge 3 way battles at keeps/SMC this will hopefully be fixed soon and we can continue our epic battles for keeps while you cry on the forums because you do not know how to havoc squad. I think sPvP is a better place for you.

If you want to remove the AoE cap then you need to reduce it’s damage. Otherwise this becomes “staff eles 2”. Stacking should be a punished tactic for sure, though. Right now it’s extremely effective to the point where if you don’t do it well you auto-lose the fight. Objectives also flip way too easily in GW2. Towers and keeps change hands three or four times an hour during prime time. Even reinforced structures fall pretty quickly. It makes defense undesirable. Why bother holding it when it will be paper after your enemy takes it, making it easier to retake? Defenders need some sort of solid advantage. The ability to siege one structure from another also desperately needs to be removed. When you can siege a keep from the safety of your own tower, you remove virtually all incentive to defend said keep. It becomes a total waste of time, as the walls will always be filled with holes and you’ll never have the supply to fix them. BL maps are also too small with too little open ground. Way too choke points, cliffs, narrow corridors, and nearby structures. Small groups don’t stand a chance. Zergs also move way too efficiently. They cover the map just as fast as small groups do, only carrying more fire power.

It won’t be staff eles 2 it will be necro’s 2, ele AoE is too slow to be a problem.

On your server it may be too easy to take a keep/tower, but higher tier servers it is a lot harder. There have been numerous time we have been fighting over a keep for hours, sometimes 4+. If they made it harder it would be impossible for higher tiers to take a keep most of the time.

Suggestion: Reduce run speed if you are close to many other people. 10 or less you run normally, 10-30 you run at in-combat speed, >30 you walk.

This leaves massive keep/tower sieges as they are, but gives the defenders more time to fight back as the blob charges the lord room.

In the open field its no longer efficient to have the zergball move from camp to camp. Makes it better for smaller groups to do this while the zerg hits keeps.

Opens up the ability for solo/small groups to roam and escape the zerg.

Suggestion: L2Scout

There is always enough time to get to just about anywhere on the map to defend if you have scouts.

This is not the way to go.

No, it wouldn’t. Anet would have to redesesign some parts of the map, which allows us to spread out more when we’re attacking garrison and such.
All the AoE cap does now is to favor bad play, it isn’t so much about positisonal tactic as i would like it to be. And removal of the AoE cap wouldn’t be OP when people adapt to it and learn to spread out.

So what you want is for Anet to completely redesign WvW so you can run in a small group….. I am not even sure what to say to this….. I would say the majority of people are fine with large scale battles based on the participation I see in WvW right now. Also you are doing it wrong if you are having trouble havoc squadding in WvW, I am in T2 and have fun in small groups all the time.

Why would Anet redesign WvW to make the by far minority happy. By the way those invaders were terrible. They never even tried to push in. One Mesmer veil and a double roll and you are in AoE bombing everyone stuck in the lords room, it would be over in a few seconds.

No it is made to be obtained by people contributing in WvW. If you don’t want to put a group together to get what you need you will not get it.

Iam sure everybody got it by doing that…. -_- Are you really that naive that you think its just that simple? That on any server anyone can get group and take any vistas? I really dont think so and players should be on even ground when it comes to things like this…

I have WvW map completion on 4 Characters. It took 4 months but I got it done. I can put a group together and take an objective if I really need to. Sometimes it takes a long time and sometimes it’s easy. I have no char with PvE map completion…ya know why….I HATE PVE MAP COMPLETION but I am required to do it if I want a legendary.

I do not come on the forums and cry about it. I just slowly chip away at it. And yes I do put groups together for map completion in PvE too, it makes the Skill pts in Cursed Shore a lot easier.

Guys, is almost year, and you still didn’t fix main bugs. Main bugs are: LFG, time by time you can’t player in same dungeons; you get disconnect when you trying to login and dungeons disconnection, when you trying to enter to dungeon, , AC dungeons npcs have bugs. Really this game game have free to play quality. Even other games have better quality than this one.

I’ve just done the same thing. It’s very unclear in game, and I had no idea to look for the solution to a problem that didn’t exist. You don’t look for an answer until it’s too late.

Unique could mean many things, but I wouldn’t have jumped to this conclusion until I had ruled out quite a few others. Either I shouldn’t be able to buy a second item of the same type, or they should say I can’t equip it, and give me a proper reason. Because I can buy more than one, the item is already not “unique”.

It is account bound though so you could use it on an alt. I am not sure making it unavailable to buy if your char has one already is a good idea.

And to those who says “unique” as the warning text, clearly it isn’t clear enough for many players. Otherwise we won’t get threads like this so frequently.

So frequently lol, this is the second one I have ever seen.

Op you made a mistake and learned from it, I doubt Anet will fix this for you. In most situations (not all) in most games unique or unique equip means you can only equip 1 of them.

What sux as it has been explained to me before is that in GW1 unique meant something totally different than it does in GW2. That is kind of kittenty on their part.

They should really change the item descriptions to unique equip.

essentially what you want IS something for free.

You want one of the few prestiges( the gold star) that distinguishes individuals from the herd of players playing this game, and you want it for basically , being part of the herd.

Map completion is NOT meant for everyone to have, if you don’t want to stick at WvW and play it until you get the opportunity then you don’t need the icon.

Anet said there wouldn’t be a LEVEL grind, they NEVER said there wouldn’t be grinds at all.

Another ridiculous poster. Anet can set something aside for a PvE quest for that star, and not some trashy system that’s governed by a zerg server. I’ll want to insult your intelligence with some fancy words, but I’m not sure if the conduct code actually is free enough for me to do it.

Seems there are a lot of people that want something for nothing. If you want map completion then join a WvW guild and go get what you need. I am not sure why this is a problem. Anet made it very clear world completion was not meant for everyone. You do not have to get it to progress in game.

I like how ppl want Anet to change the rules so they can get their legendary. I don’t want to PvE for world completion but if I want it I have to do it. Please Anet change the rules for me, I only want to do WvW map completion for the world completion.

Now this may come off as a bit of a rant but i dont care. I do not think in order to get 100% map completion, you should have to do WvWvW. I know people have already gotten it but they obviously enjoy pvp. I dont and im sure there is other hardcore strictly PvE orintated players who wont ever get 100% completion. There should be a change so like in the mists the WvWvW stuff does not count toward map completion. I just do not understand why a PvE achievement has any pvp aspects to it. This is almost a game breaker for me because i will for ever sit at 92%… and its a shame.. I’ve never pvped in any game and i never will it just doesn’t float my boat per say.. nothing will prolly come from this i just want it to be known.. i hope in the future this will change. Say what you will i know this post will be attacked.. i just want to hear other peoples opinions on the matter.. that includes you strictly only PvPers!

How do you know you would not like PvP if you have never done it in any game???

I thought WvW would be the last thing in this game that I would find fun, It has become almost the only thing I do in this game now. By the way if you do not have to WvW to get map completion I should not have to PvE to get it.

WvW is failing because Anet isnt fixing the issues it needs to be fixing.

whats wrong atm:
Areas are to small and the landscape is to flat. This gives hardly room for smaller groups or solo players to roam.
This forces players to run with the zergs even if they dont like it. What GW2 will end up with is players who love to zerg. The rest will drop out.

Keeps:
Keeps in GW2 are good for attackers and bad for defenders. AoE can be placed on walls way to easy and reach areas they shouldnt reach. No save spots at all so why defend. Only numbers (read zerg) can help you win.

Ranks:
totaly silly. Being from DAoC i know what ranks can do. And these rewards are a joke. to be hit less hard by guards who are a joke alrdy is silly. Most rewards are for zerg players only.

Anet said this game would be a pvp/rvr game with also pve.
In my book its a pve game with some pvp and far far far far far away there is a thing that with the lights of looks like rvr.

Most of my guildies and in game friends alrdy left gw2 by now. Myself i log in…see whats wvw about. If long que or nighttrain is there again i log off and try again in a few days.

This is obviously about the lifesteal food. Other on-crit food (chill would result in infinite kiting, might is self explanatory) would be extremely OP if internal cooldowns aren’t present. Lifesteal food gave glass cannon warriors the survivability of a guardian while being glass cannon.

The reason you’re not having fun in dungeons after the nerf is because you continue to insist on running glass cannon and expecting the survivability of a tank. Just put 3 pieces of soldier armor on yourself, or even knights. Warriors are strong enough as they are in PvE. They don’t need to be stronger.

I just switched to Knights armor and my warrior is still a beast but not OP with basically unlimited life regen in WvW zergs.

The only issue I had with it was it severely ruined my already broken necro. There were some other classes that took a hit as well with this nerf to food because people were using it to basically exploit with their warriors.

Are you severly upleveled?

I have had it bug before where I do not get credit, but it hasen’t happened for a long time.

Maybe you are not tagging enough.

My guess is if you just spent 3 hours getting in to stonemist you got much more exp from kills that you would have for capping.

Edit: I remember when this would happen to me I would hear other guildies say the same thing. I just wrote it off as a bug that had been fixed as I have not had it happen for a couple of weeks.

If no big WvWvW guild moved out of KN, what happened, then? They were a challenging opponent, then suddenly after I saw those rumors about some big W3 Guild leaving KN, KN just stopped showing up.

They fell apart after that first loss to us, realized they were not going to T1 as they had been planning to do and gave up.

It is soooo unfortunate because the matchup with KN has been great fun, we finally got some sea/oceanic servers to be more competitive with them and they all start leaving

Grabbing bags is annoying in wvw

I don’t think having to pick up bags would be as much of a problem if they did not end up falling behind you when running. Half the time I don’t even know one fell.

Also the bags like to get stuck under the terrain and you are not able to see then unless you hold down ctrl, lol how stupid. It is like they do not want us to get the bags.

But we seriously need a way to get ascended gear in WvW. Seriously. It’s only been November, December, January, February, March, and now April.

Only if it is slightly harder to get than in PvE. Otherwise we are going to have every PvE’er in WvW trying to get their ascended gear.

I mean really at this point you would have thought that they would have implemented the log in bag. This bag would include:

-1 laurel everyday and 10 laurels once a month
-10 guild comms
-another small bag full of rare gear
-a random precursor every three months

That way everyone can play the way they want with no qualms.

-a random stack of t6 mats
-a confusion removal device
-something to do with a bank full of ascended rings

Yes, that may be true however Gold Inflation is getting out of control in GW2 to the point as you said, would make more sense to buy gems than gold conversion for Gemshop items.

However with such a few handful of people poisoning the Gem Price Marketing by forcing free to play players to the point that farming gold on the B2P game is becoming obsolete. No player would enjoy farming hundreds of gold for thousands of hours just to get a gem shop item that remains a secret until its reveal on said day.

With that said, at the current rate of converting gold to gems, increases 50-75 silver every 3-4 weeks. Soon 100 gems will cost 75-150 gold in 8 months or so.

Since those few people are saving all their mass gold and earning mass gold with the Legendaries, I would expect the market to go out of wack by the end of this year.

However, I figure I would at least ask if they would make a consideration.

Why would they want it any other way. The less people buying gems with gold the more that are buying them with real money. They will keep letting it inflate until no one buys gems anymore and then they will make a market adjustment. I would imagine they would like to keep it right on that edge to get the most profit possible.

When they release new items I would imagine it is by far the most profitable in the first week or so, why would they take that away from themselves by ruining the surprise.

Well they got culling/haste fixed….Confusion was next, after that I am guessing the nerf-dogs next target will be backstab thieves…People just won’t be happy until they whine enough to get FAILNET to come in and save their bad playing selves….IF confusion is killing you then, you fail, plain and simple….Now sometimes you get stuck with confusion and cant just run away, sucks don’t it…Sometimes I get stuck with 10 stacks of bleed and cleanse/heals both on CD, that sucks for me and sometimes I die.

I want that nerfed, in fact I want it nerfed to where no one dies, no one even goes down. We can just run around and do no dmg to each other and all get participation trophies at the end of the week.

To the people whining about confusion, I say this: go back to the games you came from.

Because Confusion = Spiteful Spirit, Empathy, Backfire, etc from GW1….People all dealt with them, and the hilarious bads like you whined then too.

This is not correct, and if you really do believe this then I don’t think you played GW1 very extensively.

Again, theory crafting is absolutely not facts.

I could say that, since X weapon has 90% accuracy, and since weapon Y has 80% accuracy, in a fight between the two weapons, weapon X will always win. This is not correct.

When people say that “well, he should have paid mind to the purple circles around his ally in the corner of his screen while he was busy dealing with the necro and in the middle of a cast and trying to stay alive” it’s just not credible at all.

There are many variables outside of what people conceive on this forum that have a huge effect on how fights play out.

(In reality I think people are just playing ignorant in a futile attempt to not have their precious confusion nerfed. A futile attempt because it’s pretty much set in stone that I will be nerfed).

I have never died to confusion. I could care less if it is nerfed because I will just go back to shatter spec, which I may do anyway because this glamour build is a gimmick spec and only works well in certain situations. I have twice the survivability and damage potential in a shatter/phantasm spec. It was fun to play with glamour in WvW but it is no better than anything else. I feel more useful on my necro anyway. I see a lot of well necroes around too, maybe they need a nerf too.

They will never do this for the exact reason you stated. They want you to buy gems with real money not gold. When the exchange rate gets high enough that it does not make sense to buy gems with gold more people will but gems with real money which = more Anet profits.

A zerg of 60 necros would be able to lay so many marks/wells down that nothing would be able to get within 1200 range lol. This is about 420 wells/marks lol, they could be spread out so far that no even a double dodge roll would get through it.

Yeah, now all you need is 60 necros with military discipline.

Realistically, though, what would happen is some people stream in, set off all the marks, get downed, get raised up by the people streaming in behind them and then the necros all die. Necro marks tend to work best when you can plop them down on top of a big group. Simply setting them around as “traps” tends to result in them getting set off by 1 guy.

If you put them out in concentric circles they would have to send many in to set them all off. Don’t forget there would also be 120-180 wells lol. These are not set off and mine hit like a truck in the spec I run. I hope they remove the AoE cap so everyone can see how it will be exploited just like the cap is now. I just think the no AoE cap will be exploited much much worse.

Confusion

Bleed can tick for more than 4000dps, how is that “manageable” with limited conditon removal? Last time I checked, that also killed you when healing, dodging and attacking. And also when taking cover or just standing there.

Having Poison, Burning, and 10+ stacks of bleeding is a nightmare for a Mesmer that just blew his Null field on some unsuspecting foe.

If you want to destroy blobs:

  • Remove teleports on WvW Maps.
  • Death => 20sec timer => spawn at basecamp
  • 1 min delay between 2 WvW maps (= on EB, if you want to go on your home map, there is a one minute timer)

I think sPvP is the place for you.

I realized that it was bads that have trouble with confusion when I stand on a keep wall in WvW. I throw down all of my glamour field and watch -

Some ppl immediately stop attacking and run away.

Some ppl cleanse

Some ppl avoid the fields and go around them

Some ppl run through the fields numerous times while attacking gaining more stacks while I watch and LOL

Some ppl just keep attacking until dead

The majority are the last 2 unfortunately.

I think there is an experience/skill disparity then. I never have a problem with a Mesmer, I do have problems with good players. A good Mesmer is good and a bad Mesmer is bad. There is nothing OP about that. Because I play a Mesmer I know exactly what I hate while playing a Mesmer and I do that to other mesmers while I am playing one of my other 5 80’s. I rarely played my Mesmer until recently when I saw all of the QQ about condition mesmers. I played one for a bit and was like meh, what is the big deal, it’s just like every other class (lol except for ranger) I will kill the bad masses with confusion because they cannot handle it. The good players shrug it off and continue on with a good fight. If it was OP I could just run around killing all no matter what. Skills should not be balanced around the lowest common denominator.

But y’see that’s the problem. It’s true, a bad mesmer is still a bad mesmer, and not much of a problem for any good player. But a good (doesn’t even have to be a great) mesmer can literally play any of several builds which cycles through a series of abilities that never ever gives any offensive opportunity to their opponent.

Can they still be beat? Yes, by playing conservatively with a defensive build. That is a HUGE problem in my opinion, a single class should not have the ability to pidgeonhole every opponent in to certain builds. Certain builds doing that is fine, if I build counter-offensively but lose out to defense, that’s an interesting and engaging choice I have been allowed to make. But that should not be the innate state of an entire profession. The mesmer does not have to make any such build choice, every build is counter-offensive, every build punishes you for fighting back, and they sacrifice nothing for it that they actually need.

Like I said I don’t have a problem with mesmers nor do I feel like I have to have a certain build to take one down. Stop attacking their illusions, dodge mindwrack, remove conditions, don’t attack while confused.

Tip: The illusions can’t dodge, so kill to one that is dodging and moving.

Yes you have to get all of them on all of the borderlands and EB, so there are 4 maps to complete.

The only way to get the ones in the keeps is to put a big group together and take the Keep/Tower that has the points you need.

I always thought aoe and knowing which is the right clone was all the counterplay needed against mesmers?

Conditions will wreck a Mesmer as well. They only have one condition removal and it is normally used to apply confusion to an enemy. Therefor it is always on CD.
