No kitten, really? That’s a shock. I’m pretty sure they stated at the start of the elite specs that they’re meant to open up new options and roles for classes. That is exactly what they’re doing. Tempest is a different feel .
So after the expac all there builds will be on even ground? Viable?
Most professions only have a few meta builds, so it’s no excuse to justify Ele’s current overpowered state.

We can’t recommend anything. It depend on what you want to do. My suggestion would be to wait. At some point you gonna need something that require crafting and you will know what to do.

Sigil of speed? It has no icd, so you can stack yourself 2+ mins of swiftness just by killing stuff. If you use it with SoI you never really need to think about swiftness again… and you can share it.
Also, you can go into your options and turn down your Dialog Volume.
Uh no its called sig of inspiration and it gives you speed every 10 seconds with a random buff I have no idea what your talking about.

Hearing I can run a centaur every 10 seconds is annoying as hek! Inspiration is a nice buff and all but holy crap arenanet really? Cmon guys are you trolling me here?

For a mesmer and elementalist? I was going to try tailoring but someone said its expensive to start with, I am also hearing mix things, is stuff I can craft beneficial compared to loot from karma and so on? I did hear the trade post is tough so do not expect to make much money.

Currently professions like rangers and necros are being excluded from certain areas of the game because of meta, much of it coming from eles. Until this is fixed, any calls to buff eles in anyway should be shot down. Eles are arguably the best profession in all aspects of the game and need taking down a peg or two.
I am still new to ele from my understanding they are not balance across all specs like one spec is op and the others fall behind id like to see them all viable.

But to answer your question, sort of. There are a choice few armors when combined that can give a kinda-sorta armored look.
There are also a few outfits will absolutely give you a heavy armor look.
Outside of the outfits though, you shouldn’t really expect much of a plated armor look for your elementalist.
It’s a scholar class.
I did not expect to be able to wear heavy armor considering it is a light armored class…

Wow some of you are truly astounding it is called an opinion, you cannot handle an opinion? Yea switching elements is nice but many times while playing I wish I could swap weapons instead of conjuring.

Those syvlari looked really bad in my opinion, I cant really decide really, I love asuras animations but there story and personality puts me off, and the daggers are really small on them any thoughts?
I was looking on google images at elementalist armors and noticed most look this way to me, originally I picked an asura but I do not dig there storyline or there personalities, I loved the animations but I can barely see my daggers.

Oh dear lordy people an expansion is hardly pay to win. Having real gear that has an advantage over other players is pay to win. Having higher passives and stats in general is a pay to win advantage if you are the same level. We should not be even having this discussion.

For a new player, hitting level 80 will take some time and work.
But for the veteran player, they could hit level 80 incredibly fast. Veterans may be sitting on level up tomes, level 20 tomes, etc.There are also incredibly fast ways to level up such as dungeons or Edge of the Mists; but if you don’t abuse those systems as a way of leveling up, it should take you some time to hit level 80.

Ok first I want to say is before I bought this mmorpg I kind of expected to be more of a casual mmo and I am fine with that because it is very fun, I enjoy pve and pvp, and the game is unique and fresh for me compared to your other mmorpgs. However I have always been more about the journey kind of mmorpg player. customization, leveling up, exploring and more.
I have heard of people getting to 80 in 3 days and this worries me because I keep hearing how there really is not much to to progress at 80 so did anything change since those 1 year old threads?
I know the expansion will be almost nothing but end game progression which I think sounds awesome but that is not for 2 more months.
Any info you can provide would greatly be appreciated and have a nice day:)
