The option would be the support system, via email.
We could have 100+ of these a day if that didn’t exist and most don’t even post here.
I also don’t know anyone in real life who plays but I do trust support and unless needed I wouldn’t post about it on the forum.
So no, you don’t actually need access.
You can submit a ticket with support, top of the page.
You can’t Anet will not give out serials, ever.
But your friend should submit a ticket or email support and give as much info as possible. They will work with him.
Also, can he access the forum? If so his password could be saved into his internet tools.

I am hoping, it is probably one of the greatest feelings followed my the most harrowing.
You can only imagine that you see Dusk pop up on your screen then 10 minutes later search your bag for “Dusk” and find nothing and just trying to back track your last actions. Very saddening.
I really can imagine, even though I have never had a precursor. But I want my Quip so bad, I would be heartbroken too. We have to remember though, it is just a game. And even though it feels like losing, we are not losing anything in real life. (that last comment might get some hate, urg)
It’s frustrating, but your best bet is to just wait for a reply on your ticket and hope for the best.
Happy it got solved so fast.
But if it happens again, remember that you can find your password in your internet tools, cause you use the same info on this forum to log in.
Yes, it will resume.
But it will look like it started over again, that isn’t the case though. It checks the files you already have first and then resume downloading.

You can request an email change through support at the top of the page.
Or you could submit a ticket. Support might be able to do a roll back on the account.
No harm in trying but if they do it, everything you did now will be gone again.
The second won’t happen unless it’s for all of us.
But this is something you will have to put in a ticket for. The forum can’t solve this.
It’s a known issue and is being worked on, so really, put in a ticket with support.
I wouldn’t call it dumb though. It can happen to all of us.
There is no limit but at the start you get 5 slot for free and you have to “buy” others.
Well you can always try and file a ticket with support. But don’t get your hopes up, this is a user error (how ever bad that sounds) and they don’t usualy get refundded.

It is true, dev’s have said so on the forum, the wiki states it and many here have tried and succeed.
You can transfer for free if you deleted all chars, stuff in the bank is kept save.

I agree, a warning would be nice.
For support you use the same email as you use for the game, but you can email them as well. They need it because they create an account for you, you can also use in the future.

If you got banned/suspended they give you a reason.

You can email support if you can’t create a ticket.
But the wiki is pretty clear, each character needs to buy his/her own commander compendium.

Same, here, mostly PvE. But I love being able to fill up the PvP locker. Even if I never use it.

As far as I know, Anet will not give serials.
But as long as you can prove the account is yours (and you can without the serial) you’re good.
You could always submit a ticket to get a formal response.
Try emptying your in-game mailbox, you won’t get the emails if your inbox is full.
Is your mailbox empty enough to even get the email?
If not try deleting some.

How high is the population of the server you want to go to?
Cause the 1800 gems is for a transfer to a server with a “very high” population.
For 1000 gems you can go to a “high” server and for 500 for a “medium” server.
