You should be able to change the setting of the keys in the bios setup centre.

It’s under system configuration, action keys mode. When disabled it needs the (Fn) key to get the brightness key, without it will be just (F1).

Your bsod should also give you an error code, what is it?

Isn’t there like a website that can help with that? Like here we have Alternate.nl and it will tell you if something won’t work with something else.

What about the ArenaNet.log?

Cooling is very important, if the pc gets to hot it will shorten it’s lifespan and cause shut downs.

Building a pc yourself will be cheaper and will get you what you want the first time around. I’m not really up to date with components right now so will leave that to others.
But a power supply is very important to and don’t ever go for a cheap one! You will need an A label one like ocz, chieftec, zalman, and so on.

A skin works like a transmutation but what that pvp thing would be, no clue. Nothing about the skin and pvp on the wiki.

But putting that on anet is a bit much. There is boatloads of info available about basically every aspect of the game. And I know it’s not what you want to hear but when you don’t know how something works it is best to find out before just clicking.
They gave you the option to send them info so they can check what happened and it worked even on wireless. So wait for an answer there.

Is it a store bought pc? As in it came this way? Then you can find the name and number on the back of the pc and that you can use to find the components through the internet.

Or in run type dxdiag and it should show the components as well

I’m not really sure what you mean. You have 2 rings both with defensive slots, right?
So then you can add an infusion to both, right? And you can wear two rings at a time, right?
So +4 on both would be +8

Just stop the program, when you start it back up again it will check what you had already downloaded (although it will look like the normal download screen) and then continue where you left off.

And if it is overheating, is it a desktop or laptop? Are they free of dust?

You can do all crafts on all toons.

And if you can’t decide now, just check your collections tab. If you have a lot of copper, iron and so on, choose a craft that uses that. Do that in combination with a crafting booster and you should get a long way with just stuff you already have

I would love to be able to move stuff on my screen too, GW1 has those options but with GW2 the options are less

It’s normal that the launcher looks the same when checking files, only difference would be the speed that is showing. When it’s checking the files it will be a lot faster then your internet speed.

File a ticket with support

If you already had some of it downloaded, the launcher will check those files fisrt and then continue with the rest.
But it looks the same as downloading (should be at a much higher speed though)

This, I was thinking the same thing. We don’t own a thing and no cash value. If they did have that we would not be able to gain the item by just playing, converting gems or having luck.

From the wiki:" Applying an upgrade to an item causes it to become soulbound, except for account bound gear, which will remain account bound after upgrading."

So they are souldbound to you now and that is why you can’t send them.

Did not realise you were talking about special recipies, some of them do do that (I just learned).
But the ones you unlock by getting higher are not.

Well the gear can help but it will have lower stats.
But what you craft can be used in other ways too. Like in the forge, to level up fast, some of it can make a profit on the TP.
It’s also sometimes a requirement for dailies (or the salvage one, just craft some cheap stuff and salvage it) and you get achievement points for mastering a craft.

Soul bound is soul bound, no amount of putting it in the bank is gonna clear that up…

And I think most people do get the point perfectly. It’s just not something that will ever happen. If Anet has to do that for every wrong click it would take up all there time.

I think you should see if you can test a new power supply. Cause by the sound of things you now have enough hardware to make a new pc

Did you check if it not a problem with the screen itself or it’s power cable?

Try a different screen on your pc or try yours on a different pc.

Cause all you mention is the hardware, nothing about testing the screen itself.

You need to make sure the laptop is clean on the inside.

Then make sure when you use it to put it on a hard surface so the air can flow.

A cooling pad might also help

I’m also a new player and just made ten leather gloves, and they are all soulbound, non-venderable, non-salvageable. All I can do is drag them and drop them one by one to destroy them. So yes that’s pretty useless.

What? That is not even possible. Nothing you craft is soulbound unless you equip it. You can salvage and sell it too.

And the other skills are not useless, it just depends on how you yourself treat them.
Plus that for most legendary weapons you will need other skills at 400 in order to craft some recipes.
Also, you can get a load of mats just simply playing the game.

Play your game and play it your way before you let anyone tell you otherwise!
