Jeroen, Nederland has some very good websites that sell gem cards, only problem would be that they only sell cards for 2000 gems at 21-25 euro (depending on where you shop).
Those can be bought online with iDeal. For now that would be the only option besides for example paypal. Only problem would be the amount of gems and the costs.

I have no idea why you would think that. And that email you got is still one you can respond to to keep the ticket open. Those also get sent if one doesn’t update their ticket just to make sure an issue is resolved (or not). So nothing is closed and you might have missed the response to your ticket.
2 options
Save them for next year (if the event or chest comes back or earlier, you never know for sure).
Or destroy them (or sell, I don’t now if you can).

This is entitlement.
There are numerous websites that offer surveys to be completed for points/tokens/etc and those could be made into real money/or something else. Yet those are also given out to certain people and not others.
They are not the first ones to offer some kind of reward for time spent, nor do we know who got chosen and why. It’s non of our business.
This is how surveys work, no matter if they do or do not offer something. And as for an advantage, sorry 400 gems gives you some gold but no real advantage. That’s just a lame excuse to be able to “claim” something you want.
All we come down to again is jealousy. Only reason this got worked up to this is because it was posted here that there even was a survey.

I just figured/hoped that deposit meant some glory added and still spend it. Or something.
Edit: I must have missed something somewhere, I had no clue Glory boosters had an actual PvP collectibles slot. I actually stored some there earlier (no clue when).

By this definition it is very clear that not all of us are going to receive a survey (there will probably be more and we might get a turn then).
There is nothing wrong with getting something for your time. But people here seem to just want the gems and are jealous. Stop whining and wait for your turn.
I just noticed that I can deposit my (useless) Glory Boosters into my collection.
I wanted to see what would happen so I split the stack and tried it.
They deposit but then are just gone. I didn’t think they would go anywhere but it’s still weird.
So why is this even possible?
You’ll be able to craft the item, but after the evens ends the mats won’t drop anymore.
The forge will still be able to craft the item after that though. Just make sure you buy any necessary recipes before the event end, cause I believe those can’t be traded.
And according to the wiki, the item can’t be used in the forge after it’s been transmuted . So selecting stats should be save.

No, this because it is your brothers account and not yours. He should have never given it away because that is against the rules.
If you want an account linked to your own email, you will need to buy your own copy of the game.

They probably could, but they won’t. This because it can only be given out once and because there are other ways for them to help.
If they gave out serials, hackers could possibly intercept or if an account is already hacked they could use it in the future to establish ownership.

She should submit a ticket. The missing number should not be an issue, there are other ways of proving it is her account and to get the issue fixed.
But once the serial is lost, Anet will not replace that for her. But again, that should not be a issue.
Never submit more then one ticket!
Support is very busy at the moment so allow at least 5 days for a reply to come through. If after 5 day’s you still haven’t heard anything, post your ticket number in the sticky for tickets up for review.
You will need to talk with support, top of the page and from there “submit a request”.
The forum itself can’t help you.

You will need to contact support, top of the page.
There you will need to submit a ticket to get your account back and ask for a rollback (your account could be returned to a certain date, with all the stuff and chars you had, but this will only be done once). The forum itself can’t fix this, so support is the way to go.
Also, change all your passwords, for the game and for your email and check your pc/laptop for viruses or key-loggers and such.

And sorting everything will take time because it seems like they will need to look into ownership of the account. This because you say there was a ticket your friend did not submit himself.
If your friends ticket is 5 days or older (support is very busy) the number can be posted in the sticky for tickets up for review, here!
Till then there is no use posting here because only support can help.

Well, in my opinion a laptop for gaming is never the way to go. They are just not designed for that unless you have an unlimited budget.
But your budget as it is isn’t high. I did make the comment about the price diff but I don’t know if that website you linked is legit. It just seemed weird to me. The laptop you linked though, if it has the card I think it does, should handle the game on low and probably better. GW2 leans more on CPU then it does on GPU and from what I have read here the i5 seems the way to go.
But I am certain more people will respond, so wait a bit till you get the advise you can work with.

Also, besides the money thing this seems a tech issue, not an account issue.
And disconnects do not always happen because of the game, as you didn’t post any info on crash logs or the state of your pc, we can’t say it is Anet’s fault.

If it’s the same as the one on the Dell website it should have a HD 4400. And that should run the game “fine”.

If the attempts were never successful (you can check authorized IP’s under your account here), they should not have gained access. But they tried, that’s for sure.
Someone probably got some of your info, like your email address but they haven’t been able to crack the code so to speak.
You might want to run a scan of your pc for key-loggers just in case and if you have saved your serial in you email, it might be good to note down your serial somewhere safe and remove that email. (there are password/serial key apps!)
For now you seem to be safe but it’s never a bad idea to make sure.

Do you have trusted players in your guild on your old server?
People you’d trust to get the items for you and send them via email?
If so that could save you at least some gems (and maybe double if you wanted to go back to the new server after that).
And again, a little bump
I’m sure the game will go on sale at some point. But there is no real way to predict that.
