Laptops do tend to overheat and yes this could be the case here.

When you do play try to keep the laptop cool by placing it on a hard surface and making sure the fans have enough room to cool. Or consider trying a cooling pad

(and keeping it dust free of course)

Just keep in mind, laptops are not really built for games. They tend to overheat so it might be smart to get a cooling pad too

Problem is that all the components need to work with each other and your pc is a bit outdated (no offence)

Are your drivers up to date?
Was it a blue screen? Did that have more codes?

Seems error codes starting with 42 have to do with this.

And for 26 the wiki says this:
26:11:5:506 Connection failed. Please try again. Check if you are using a proxy or a program that blocks IP addresses.

Should be named: ArenaNet.log or Crash.dmp

Also, the information you provide minimal. What does it say exactly when losing connection? Is your hardware able to run the game?

Optimize for older setups?! That unfortunately won’t happen. Like the hardware keeps getting better so will requirements for games. And there really is no way around that.

No, the insignia’s go with the same level of the armor you can create.

For example, a jute insignia can not be applied to armor made with iron.
So the level req. is to craft and to apply to same level armor.

The hardware is not really the problem. It really is just the overheating due to (for a laptop) hardcore use. There really is not much more you can do besides what was mentioned here.
I mean placing an extra fan is not really an option.

Laptops are not really meant for gaming due to exactly what you describe. They tend to overheat.

You could clean out all the dust (carefully!) and make sure you don’t place the laptop on an underground covered with fabric, like the sofa or even your lap or bed.
Or get a cooling pad.

And yes at times you won’t see many people like when there is a big event going on in a different map.

Well there is nothing you “should” do

But it does make it a bit easier to know the legendary you want to make. Some share things with others and some do not.

For example, I want Quip and iI checked the wiki to see what I would need. I started gathering all the mats and trying to get the gift of wood. At the same time I’m gathering money cause well 50 gold is not gonna be enough.

Just check out the wiki and it will tell you everything you need, also do the dailies and complete the map! You will also need certain crafting skills at 400 but they can be on other characters too.

You could just download the client via the website.

You can see the servers when you start up the game.
It will say if they are highly populated or less.

And if you do pick wrong, you can guest on other servers and are allowed to switch servers every 7 days (at a cost though)

I both agree and disagree with this.
I got lucky, very lucky, to get mine with just 4 keys. I didn’t pay gems for them but got 2 for completing 2 zones and the 2 more from the chests.
Yeah they want you to want more but you can also get very lucky.

Hhmm, I thought it was a normal thing to happen. Although for me it only happens on loading screens.

Yes… but this is one of the few games that reminds me constantly how everything is scripted. I am simply asking for a story based reason behind the scripts for some things.

Flip your laptop over, there should be a tag on the bottom with the model and make of the laptop.
