These are Phishing emails, Anet will never send an email if something is up with your account, there are many posts about it on the forum.

Anet will never send mails like this.
They are used by hackers to gain access to accounts.
Don´t click any of the links and just to be save, your girlfriend should change her passwords to her email and to the game.
Support would work too though. So both are good options for an exact answer
You might want to ask support for an official answer on this. That will be the easiest way to get an answer without speculation from us here on the forum.
If it’s not in the rules there might have been another reason and it’s impossible for us to know this.
Oh and when you do get an answer, please let us know.
Remember this though, they can do a rollback, restoring your game to before it was hacked, but they will only do that once!
If you ever got hacked again, they won’t do a rollback again so make sure your account is and stays safe from now on!
You can always try submitting a ticket but as far as I know they won’t change it unless it holds personal info.
Someone tried to log into your account. That is why you got the email.
Best thing to do is change your password for both your email and the game. Also do a scan for keyloggers and such.
You might wanna download the game and check it’s still the way you left it around Christmas.

While you wait for a response, your friends email address is in the post. Giving hackers a chance to do it again. So you’d better take it out of the post.
Did you forget your password? If so, you can log into the forum so the password could be found in your internet tools.

The game has been known to have some issues with certain driver updates and graphics cards.
First thing you would want to try is to go back to your old driver version or the one before the latest if you skipped a few.

Did you get hacked or not? And if you did, did you get your account back?
Does that make it clearer?
All the info you post that you got from Anet is only about deleting characters, not about being hacked. So me asking about that is not strange at all nor does it say I want to start a discussion.
Just trying to help and trying to get facts straight…
You’d be surprised what a hacker can do, but that’s not the issue here. Your issue is with support not helping (your words and I am not going against that).
It’s still not clear to me if your account was hacked and if that got fixed or not.
So, did you make a ticket about being hacked or not? And if you did, what was the result of that?

This is only about getting chars back. What about you being hacked?
It’s only half the story. As far as I know support is very good with helping people who got hacked. So there must be more going on. But without the full story we can’t do anything.
You are posting on the forum so I assume you have your account back after it got hacked.
Remember, just issue 1 ticket more will only slow the process and post the number here.
Well, if you count all the actions you can do in the game and put that next to all the functions the Nostromo can hold without using macro’s and such. Yeah, there won’t be enough buttons.
I use it together with a 5 button mouse, so not many options there. So that leaves some for the keyboard.
Other then that, I love my Nostromo even in it’s nasty old orange. I use it for every game I play.
I use a Nostromo (the old one before it became a Razer product) and you can program it any way you like, been using it for years.
But it all depends on how you want to use it, it still has limited buttons so you might not be able to get rid of your keyboard (to play that is). I still use my keyboard for skills, but mostly use the mouse for that.
And to top it off, those parts are hard to replace in a laptop if possible at all. And if possible, very expensive.
It’s not an account issue though. It would fit better in the forum for forum bugs/website bugs.

You can transmute one of them so you can use that one too.
As for a refund, you will have to try your luck with support.
They are false, Anet will never contact you in this way. If anything is up, they will close your account without sending you an email.
Could you have gotten hacked?
And even if not, change your passwords!

Awesome, I was kinda hoping you would. It’s a bit of a mystery whatever the result.
As far as I know it isn’t. And I think that if you find do something to manipulate the game in any way, you will be smart enough to see it for what it is.
You already worry about it as if it’s a bad thing and it is, so just trust your judgement.
I mean someone could to run into something that can be used as a exploit at any time, it’s the way you deal with it that matters really.
Unless that strategy includes something against the rules like actually using an exploit, you’re perfectly fine.
Okay, before anything, don’t get angry I’m asking this. Just trying to help as best as I can.
Does the gem store show that you made the purchase? And do you remember how many gems you had in total when you bought those?
Cause if the mini’s and and bank tab were never deducted, that could mean they weren’t bought at all. It would also explain why support can’t find anything on it.
Could they still be in your mailbox attached to the email you got when you bought them?
And another obvious one, could they be on a different character?
I realize this might all be stuff that makes you think “Urg did she even read my post” but yes I did. I can’t undo a decision made by support but them finding nothing is strange too in my book.

Well you can say the name isn’t offensive, but we can’t judge on that cause we don’t know it.
Unfortunately you’re not the only one who can say a name is or isn’t.
Glad you found one you like even better though.
I’m not really sure what to say.
But yeah, just get or craft a bigger one, make sure the one you want to swap out is empty and just swap.
(all those gems, jeez)

It’s a fishing email, it’s known around here. You did the right thing!
He needs to contact support himself. If he can’t log in, he can email them. Support is at the to of the page, then he needs to go to “ask a question”.
From that point just follow instructions and leave open what is unknown.
They will investigate from there.
Well, you can always take a shot at it with support.
But this is considered an user error and they don’t usually correct those mistakes (as it would mean they will have to do it for everyone)
Unfortunately the only thing you can do is wait for a spot to open up.
But you could always try submitting a ticket with support.

Is your firewall blocking the setup from accessing the internet?
I understand it’s frustrating but if Anet starts doing this, there will be no end to it.
Unfortunately it is a user error and the answer you received is the policy on things like this happening.
Don’t forget though, there is still a chance for getting them. I’m pretty sure they will return at some point.

Submit a support ticket!
Sounds like you got hacked. And for now make sure you change your passwords for email and the game, also scan for spyware and such.
Have you checked your mini collection tab? If they are in a normal bag and you deposit all collectibles, they will get stored too.
Could you have deleted the email with the item? Cause most stuff you order in the gem store arrives via email.
And no, you can’t turn it off. It is a new feature that came with the new update.
Your gold was addes up to the total amount you have now, so it’s both from your thief and guardian.
The wallet is shared between all characters so if you were to make a new one, that one will share the wallet too.
You should contact support for this, top of the page then go to ask a question.
They will be the only ones with an exact answer and/or solution.
You will need to file a ticket with support, top of the page.
Weird, I have no clue how this is happening then.
Try submitting a ticket explaining the issue with support.
Does your wallet show the gems?
The cost is different if you move to a lesser populated server.
Medium is 500, high is 1000 (the one you selected) and 1800 for a very high server.
But can you now move? Did you already do a transfer in the last 7 days?
Did you receive the gems when you bought them?
Also, are you trying to move to a server with a very high population? If so you will need 1800 gems.
The password for the forum is the same as for the game.
Check your browser tools for the password and use it to log into the game.
You will have to go through support, top of the page, to get it changed.
He will need his own copy, with unique email account and unique serial.
Sharing is not an option anyways cause it’s against the rules.
