Oh wow, I haven’t heard this one before!

You should let support know, top of the page, so they can help you and add more space in the box. I bet you wont be the only one walking into this.

Edit, just checked the wiki and in the section for creating a char it say’s a name can only be 19 letters max to begin with. So then how did you get one with 20?
Either way, it’s weird.

Actually, it’s 5 consecutive day’s according to the wiki. But I’m pretty sure mine all say 2 weeks. And the wiki also has a page that say’s 2 weeks.

Depends on how busy it is and what day of the week.

If your ticket is 3 days or older, post the number in the sticky on the front page.

Other then that, you will just have to be patient.

Well, gmail does have some problems with anet mails. Forum is filled with it and your friend could be having that problem too.

Is there another mail address he could use? If so, he should update his ticket (he needs to update it anyway regarding not getting any replies yet)

I think what others are saying is: When transmuting, stats affect the rarity (color of name) and appearance (looks) affect the name of the item being transmuted. Thus, your end-result item is working as intended.

You either apply look or stats but the name never changes as far as I know. It always stays the name of the item you used as “looks”.

Please blur the names in the screenshot or remove it. It’s not allowed to show names here on the forum.

Other then that, when a report comes in they look at the account. If nothing is found, nothing will happen. So just a report won’t do anything.

If he gave them a new email, they will answer on that address. So everything should be fine. He will need to let support know that the old address isn’t in use anymore and that he can’t access it. That can be done by updating the ticket.

Besides what you have already done, there really isn’t anything else you can do.
It’s good you posted here but you’re gonna have to wait and see what happens.

Don’t post them here but if you have screenshots, save them. Cause if something does happen you might need to show them to support.

Teamspeak though, is not part of GW2 and is not being monitored by them. So whatever happened there is something they can’t control.

Please don’t shoot me but uhm, did you actually follow the “rules” about how to delete and then email? Did you maybe leave something out?

As I have non of the tools nor having to delete them, I have no clue about what is in the “rules” email. That and yeah, usually there should be a log of deleting stuff. So all I can think of is that they might be looking in the wrong place or something.

Yes, you can. But in order to link both you first need to start up GW1 and make an account there.

After that, you link them here and GW1 will automatically start using the email you used for GW2. So if you register GW1 on the email you are using for GW2, all you need to do after is link your account.

Seems like the person is still trying to steel your account, you need to change your email password first!

He can send it because you got hacked.

A hacker needs both your password and email to get into the game.

You had better contact support and file a ticket to get your account back!

Well, you register GW after you have installed the client for it. So you can setup your account info then and after you can link both accounts on this site.

After that you will see a message saying that you now need to use the email associated with GW2 to log into GW1

I’m sure you’re gonna be fine.
And if you do get a ban, fair or not, you will always be given a reason and a chance to appeal.

Mistakes happen, on both player and Anet’s side. But as far as I have seen issues are always treated with care.

So either way, you’ll be fine! Just enjoy playing.

You will have to wait for support to answer.

Making a ticket and posting here straight after is not allowed.

But yes, you can change servers for free if you delete all chars. For now I suggest you wait for support, just in case.

As you are both on different servers EU and US, you can’t play together. Guesting is only possible within the same region.

If you get no answer in 3 day’s post your ticket number in the sticky for tickets 3 day’s and older.

Ps, I’m pretty certain it will all get sorted for you!

Were you trying to link a gw1 account to your gw2 account? Cause if not and if you have no upgrade codes, you don’t need the link tab at all.

It’s not minor, you agreed to the rules when you set up your account.

Shared account also do not get full support, simply because things can’t be proven.

Just keep your account to yourself and get the points to select the skin you want.

It’s a sales booster, it should not be retroactive. And all the items can be gotten from the TP.

Yes, I am counting the integrated one.

I have seen the same thing happen before, that the game (or games) use the wrong card. This can be fixed through settings or BIOS.

As for the clocking, no idea.

Hi. I need to change my email because I can’t access my current email address. I messed up with my email’s password a few times and now, in order for me to access it, I need to answer some security questions that I added years ago. Frankly, I forgot the answers to them. Now, I can’t even open my email account even though I type in the correct password, making my email account totally useless. Every time I try to open it, Yahoo keeps asking security questions. I can’t get passed them because I already forgot about the answers because I added them ages ago. Is there anyway I could change the email I’m using for this game? I would gladly confirm my identity as the real owner of this account, just tell me what to do. Thanks.

I am not talking about terminology, it’s just a way to say this issues are not always a customer/player fault, like everybody insist.

Well, I didn’t insist on anything. Nor did I say anything about who is at fault.
Whatever is going on, you won’t know for sure till you get an answer from support.

About “hacking”, if someone knows your email and password (that got with a keylogger) and login in your account, that is not hacking, that’s logging. Hacking is when an exploit or vulnerability is used to enter that account, and that is out of player hands. There are many ways to compromise a game account, and is not always the player fault that have millions of virus in the computer or logged in a website that is not the official domain, like most people think.
