Unblockable can surprise some people tho like engis hiding behind their gearshield, also +180 power in passive for some ~1k extra damage on heavy targets. I think i will go for might at this point. It is not about signets vs stances/shouts viability in general, just some alternative fun build to play with. I tried to get one with 3x physical skills but in current state placement of physical training makes it next to impossible.

Aimed shot+killshot doesnt seems to be effective (shame on you aimed shot for that huge lol aftercast – wtf AN?) howered it still should give some troubles to opponent as it greatly reduce their time to dodge. Alternative is to rely on bladetrail instead at medium range>swap>ks. At this point ks lands right in the moment where immo wears off. But its not something to pull off easily either.

Im not sure about warrior spring as i could get mobile strikes/armored attack/DotE instead but i dont like to rely on swiftness in which case i will have olny 50% uptime anyway on a map where mobility = king

Alternative rune could be vamp to make up for lack of EP.

Do you think it has a chance to work over stances? I think i will give it a try in stronghold today just for lolz along with gs+rifle.

Signet of stamina would replace berserker stance
Dolyak signet to replace balanced stance

Can’t choose between signet of fury and might, both has it uses but i will probably go for might for these nasty unblockables.

Advantages over stances;

+180 to armor, power/precision
+50% endurance regen
Condition wipe on medium cd
+unblockable attacks/adrenaline refill.

Downsides;

Olny 1 stunbreak on relative high cd
Lack of immunity to direct/condi damage
Signet of rage is not that great anymore

Ps. i think stamina signet should become a stunbreak as well.

Instaead of gaining full adrenaline i think a boons based on adrenaline level would be cooler something along;

stage 1; gain fury for 6sec
stage 2; gain 3 stack of might and fury for 6sec
stage 3; gain 3 stack of might, fury and vigor for 6sec

Yeah, he does. But he also seems to have some sort of “projectile hate” and freaking high damage so i guess it is how they make up for that. Also a lot of hard cc. Seems fun, i wonder how it will turn off as he still lack that mighty “thief mobility” in combat.

The legends are where it’s at bruh, I doubt any of the role of the revenant would fail they are based from other professions and were enhanced 5 classes in necro,guard,thief,ele,warrior I bet it will get stealth no soldiers have it and also $$$,

Where you got that ele and war from? As for stealth i really hope he get some there, not olny it makes sense but it also would make him unique in general from heavies just like mes from light.

The boon/vitality legend for ele the ferocity legend for war, they already have Shiro thief, Mallyx necro, Jallis guard so that leaves out Glint and Ventari. They won’t be UP is what is certain, watch him take places.

Weapons seems to be in that order

Hammer – Jalis
Mace – Mallyx
Sword – Shiro
Staff – Ventari

Offhands doesnt seems to have a theme and they are purely utility weapons based on a choice what we want to have. For example axe can be great for condi but it also seems to deal high damage in power build as well.

So it seems that leaked skills on sword and dagger was modified if we use the code ingame now.

Sword:

Dagger;

Sword became 100% power weapon with projectile deflection on 2cd! Number 3 still has 15cd but now it also have listened number of hits (7) which fits what we have seen in the trailer.

Dagger became a cc weapon with knockdown and 600 range pull

-1 single target but good to troll indeed

-his 2 is also single target and from what ive noticed a good positioning will render it useless as it teleport someone behind revenant in which case if revenant is close to the obstracle you will still stomp him.

-3 does some damage at close range but thats about it, no cc, no heal, just damage.

Most op state? Nope. That will always be a ranger/ele thing and lately trained necros can trait to deal some bs damage and down ppl in few sec from full hp as well.

And to above, yes slow affect stomp animation

Those three were all later than February (in fact, all of them were within a month from now).

There were also a bunch of other posts, but since people don’t seem to count those I didn’t add them to the list. The three posts here however have all included plenty of new and meaningful information.

April 4 – Nobody cares.

March 26 – We already knew that we will be able to obtain precurson via collection system along with tiers so it doesnt bring anything new. For me its just a recap with a bit more detailed info – you can dance with your queen now.

March 17 – Not everyone care about WvW. I like the map but i dont care much about these mechanics which we would figure out in the first day at release as there inst alot of stuff anyway.

The last great news for me at least (and i think for many others as well) was about revenant.

Rifle problems

We have 1 problem here. You cant make rifle viable by any means. Rifle is outclasses by warrior longbow in every aspect this game has to offer and in general everyoone and their mom runs melee in dungs anyway (and ranger outdps warriors in melee as well).

Lets put it simply, rifle needs a complete overhaul. Current skills sux, all of them. Scrap them and start over. As it stands now theres no reason to pick up a rifle other than fashion reasons as youre nerfing yourself by doing so – that also applies to axe offhand.

Btw if i recall correctly volley is a dps loss over axe aa so why anyone would want to switch to rifle in melee range lol? That makes no sense whatsoever.

Well from what I gather, warrior rifle is average at best, but still inferior to long bow on warrior for a ranged choice. It’s too bad that the only class in the game to make use of this weapon is engineer. I hope thief gets it as a specialization, and maybe revenant too.

I doubt revenant will get access to rifle as they are a brawler type class. And they already have a ranged option with hammer that might end up as second (or even first at max range) best dps range weapon. I personally dont believe that thief will get rifle in HoT xpac but in future i can see it happen.

You have burst one trick pony called killshot which is easy to dodge btw but nvm that one as i dont think were talking about pvp.

From pve perspective lb ranger will outdps you so badly that you literally have no idea;

-your damage on “1” is mediocre unlike long range shot at max range

-you wont make up for that by volley either as rapid fire also deals 20% higher damage along with 10 stack of vul which you can apply more frequency and without wasting time for brutal shot that has lower damage than fierce (pathetic).

-you also can train ranger lb to deal extra 5% damage and 10% casttime reduction along with extra range that can be reach up to 2100 meters thx to broken mechanics ingame.

Take a look at these numbers in links. Lower base damage, even lower power scaling. Apples to oranges right? Do you really think you can outdps lb ranger with killshot?

Sorry to break it for you, but youre not even close to archieve that, with higher power its olny getting worse and worse in favor of ranger lb. And thats actually without counting their class mechanic called “pet” which does about 30% of ranger dps also bringing extra utility so your killshot and rifle lies and screams about the nonsense you talking about. I dindt even mentioned aoe barrage which also hits like a truck while applying cripple. That joke knockback and stealth are just a cherry on the top.

If you want we can give it a try and see who will kill heavy golems in spvp faster – your warrior joke rifle or my pewpew ranger. But as it stands now rifle remain as trash weapon that might as well be deleted from warrior weapon list and i doubt anyone will be missing that. No damage, no utility, nothing.

Rifle higher damage than longbow ranger yeah..and pigs fly.. Lb1 at max range alone makes all rifle warriors cry.

My pewpew that inst even full zerk in wvw runs with 1058 damage on the tooltip, against squishies that about 4k crit/hit. I dont think they will ever make rifle viable. Been waiting far too long for that to happen.

I been soloque a bitand i faced premade maybe..3 times at best over 600 matchs in EU. and even then that was pretty close matchups

Today i been paired with a team that was yelling in team chat “they are premades, we will lose” at the start for some weird reason and yet we stomped them 500-136.. At this point who looked like premade?

Howered i agree, bring back SoloQ so people wont be able to blame “premades” anymore for losing

And you missed the point. This is team based game, before you manage to down turret engi he will get a backup that will roflstomp you and do /dance. Even if not you already kittened off your team by wasting time to kill him as points tick during that time. And thats olny 1 engi. Whats about 2?

Looks like another week without info. About druid;

In the trailer we have seen pet rushing to something once the vine skill was casted so i doubt druid will get f1-4 abilities based on pet.

I think its safe to say that HoT going to cover entire Mgus Falls cause they moved Rata Sum a bit to probably make a space for new map. Im curious if they going to cover Maaguma Wastes as well – now that would be a large xpac indeed. I hope there will be underwater areas tho.. ps fix this kitten AN

Hmm now that i have looked at these pics you gave me a interesing idea about legendary armor. Smog that could be dyeable like in your pic would look amazing on legendary armor but the thing with legendary armor is that some might not like the basic look of armor desing.

I think it would be interesing for legendary armor to not have it own skin and instead we could put on any unlocked armor skin in our acc (say phalanx armor) on legendary armor with this smog dyeable effect. Kitten look guaranteed

You realize an expansion is coming out, right? That this expansion will change everything in PvP.

Yeah, flying turrets inc bahahaha. The turret placement mid-air is olny a beginning to let us taste what will happen once xpac drop.

That said, hammer revenant with Jalis legend will wreck any turret engi on a sight.

Im curious how people imagines backpiece capes with stuff that actually have them/buttcapes? Like norn t3, arah pants, t3 heavy charr pants, mistward pants etc. Going forward medium sets with strenchcoat, light with skirts.. sry i cant imagine it at all unless you want to wear as many capes as possible.

<Looking at stealth> Kitten i can spam it while being blinded/blocked/evades as much as i want and it wont reveal me! So gut.

<Looking at turret engineer> I will just sit down on a point and everyone will avoid me otherwise they just melt to my turrets while im watching a movie. I risk loosing that 5sec of movie by alt tab to gw so my build should be rewarding.

<Looking at cele classes> Sustain of a bunker along with damage of a zerker? Why not?

Thats the problem. Some people got invited to beta and due to a bug/exploit they got access to full set while we can olny dream about it. Ask GW1 how they would feel if AN gave out HoM skins to everyone with latest bug. I mean its olny a skin, it doesnt hurt anyone nor it doesnt give any advantage right? Will it really matter if i put fiery dragon sword skin on my weapon despite not playing in gw1? After all its olny a skin..in a game where you grind like no tomorrow for skins as you cant grind for better stats…

Anet said no new weapons would be introduced, but that doesn’t mean Spear can’t be brought to land. Though I doubt they’ll put the coding in for that.

I say it’s most likely a Pistol or Dagger off-hand. Hopefully they provide great damage and/or utility

Pistol 4 – pull yourself to a tree
Pistol 5 – headshot yourself
Dagger 4 – cut off your finger to bleed yourself
Dagger 5 – suicide by stabing yourself

fundamentally change the way a Ranger plays

Yet druid is still stuck with pets. Druids probably will get F5 key with special skill but rest most likely will remain the same. We have seen warrior with f2 grayed out in poi – guess what? They still utilize adrenaline.

Grayed out f2 leads me to think that their new f2 key is for new weapon olny. Which leads me to guardian.. We have seen leaked skills of guardian longbow – they gain a off/def stance (f4?) but thats..for longbow olny it seems.

We also seen ele sword placeholders – they still utilize attunements.. Nothing to be impressed about in current state. I hope they prove me wrong but i dont see that happening outside of “new tech” and cool fx effects on their new skills and ul.

What prof should I play now?

Hope so as specializations doesnt bring all that much to waste a week per one specialization when in reality there not much going for them from my pov. 1 new weapon, 6 new skills (heal, 4 utility, elite) and new traitline with slighty modified class mechanic doesnt cut the problem base classes suffer from.

In the CDI threads where the concept of sub-classing was discussed, some anet’s devs were very interested on the idea of quests/ adventures being required to unlock sub-classes. So that may very well happen, and if so, who knows, maybe specs will bring new lore, in addition to the new adventures, to the world as well. And, perhaps, we’ll also get spec-themed armor sets for each one of them too? I don’t want to hype it too much, but if Anet once thought they could dedicate one whole week for each spec, then it’ll probably be a bit more elaborated than merely “some new skills and some changes to existing skills”.

Spec-themed armor that everyone will be able to wear just like revenant set.. Makes no sense. Now if they were restricted to profession sure, count me in but it wont happen. Quest/Adventure? Possibly but i hate that thing already. I want to unlock it via skill points and forget, also its forcing people that pvp olny to actually play pve otherwise they will be at huge disadvantage vs pve’ers.

I think their decision behind that was to create a delay in information and hold on with release date a bit longer as to this day we have no idea when they going to release ls3+feature pack called HoT, but based on that what you said and how their blogs sounds lately its safe to say that it coming sooner than we think. Either way for me specializations are nothing special but a few extra skills with slighty modified class mechanic in current state. Ofc im not saying specializations arent interesing but they are overhyped for me

I guess some people dont understand that bunker is not supposed to have load of damage and instead they throw l2p all around to make up for their lack of arguments. A bunker is supposed to tank not to deal damage like turrent engi. So far the most balanced bunker build belong to guardian – great survivability at the cost of low damage output.

people think it’s a ‘lot of damage’ because they are running glass. eat life blasts from a power necro, now that’s damage.

Yet when you 1v1 a bunker guardian as glass its doesnt hurt that much – not even close. Even when i pick up a knight amulet they still deal too high damage for their tankiness. Power necro is a bad example in this case as while they hit a lot you also hit them for quite a bit back. Thats the point. You have to choose between high damage output at the cost of being fragile or being a tank at the cost of hitting like a wet noodle. Which leads to the problem with cele classes and turret engi in general. Both have too high damage for their survivability. And thats a problem from balance perspective
