I would rather like them focus more on the other 66% of the game.
Casual combat, for a casual game. I still find it better than trinity gameplay.
There is nothing for me to do in PvE at level 80, I can’t play WvW because a single server has every fortification max upgraded, and I don’t want to play SPvP because I simply don’t find it fun. I think ANET is focusing to much on this eSport business, and not enough time on PvE and WvW… I also don’t like how there is little reward for hard work in this game. In other traditional MMOs the main goal is to improve your strength as a player, but in this game it takes 7 days to get to max level, and gear yourself with top notch equipment… I love this game, but I can’t see myself playing it for long periods of time. And I will not be surprised if a moderator deletes many posts in this thread because its bad publicity.

Around 80 people in my guild since release have changed servers… You would think this is a good thing? Wrong… They all went to superior servers solely for WvW wins. How is that helping server balance?
I don’t like MMOs that require tanking and healing. In my opinion they ruin combat and cause long waits for the perfect party layout. Not only that, they often cause rage when people do not perform their roles correctly. I would rather play the game having fun, than play the game as if it were a job…
I’d prefer something like more wandering champions that you can’t just skill spam to take out.
I remember the first time I entered burning crusade in wow and there were huge mechas that killed botters constantly as they traversed around the zone – any real player could easily avoid them. It adds flavour to the world, and even a nice random challenge for groups.
Many games do this, and I think its a decent fix. I don’t mind being the prey and having to book it once in a while.
I’m hoping they will be adding Flame Legion homelands and Crystal Desert to the game later. They could add dynamic weather such as sandstorms.
Wish they would comment more like Firefall devs. I would like to here their opinions on our opinions!
They should black out your vision or heavily fade it.
If they add this feature cultural equipment would seem less unique.
All three of your suggestions are supported by me. Although player trading could lead to tons of scamming.
Try joining a less populated server. I have never had to wait to enter WvW in Anvil Rock.
I’m surprised they haven’t implemented player previewing. It would be a great way to get to care more about their appearance, and thus spend more money in the trade company for costumes.
Remove the death penalties in this game (repair and waypoint costs)

There is no need to change the death penalty just because your not using the numerous methods to gain money. I understand that this game is tailored for casual gamers, but its a bit to easy having no penalty/barely any at all. Really just do some quests in PvE and you will have more than enough money to cover repair costs for hours in WvW.
Lets not forget about the people who would rather get their map completion than help their team.
Agree with much of this. Especially the requirement of BoHs for commander. I don’t like the idea of ceasefires though. Seems like it would ruin the action, also I can’t see all three sides agreeing to one.
Legendary weapons…
Ahh Maplestory… Last time I checked in Nexon finally responded to my ticket… nearly 5 years after I sent it…
OT:
Buddy chat would be very nice. Maybe add alliance chat in future.
ANET does not want people to grind, so rewards are forbidden.
I can’t imagine my Charr riding an animal… Maybe a motorcycle… =]
They said they will be adding many more features to guilds, including guild halls.
They NEED to add hardcore elements to this game to keep people playing. We have only legendary weapons to work for. And to be honest they aren’t even worth the time in my opinion. Adding legendary armor would be a good start, and maybe some more ways to improve our current gear. Maybe adding more rune/sigil slots or perhaps allowing us to improve the base stats on weapons with magical scrolls.
Konan would be amazing, and there is plenty of room in the north to add a city! I would like to see a martial arts class, or maybe even a pirate class! Pirates would fit perfectly with pistols, rifles, and swords.
I love Guild Wars 2, but there is one thing that I just can’t stand… I have not seen a single WvW end with even remotely even scores. I’m not sure if this is just my server (Anvil Rock) or all of them, but it seems from all the complaining I have seen over the past month that its this way with most servers. I honestly do not think waiting will fix the issue so I have a few ideas that could possible help with the problems. I have no idea what the devs can manage to code, and I have no idea what the game engine can handle so apologies if these suggestions are not possible.
1.) Add world bosses to each map that attack walls and players. These bosses should be very hard to take down, and require servers to organize siege to kill quickly. In theory if a server is holding a large portion of a map, these bosses should most likely attack the superior server. This should give the weaker servers a chance to attack a weakened keep, or use it as a distraction to rebuild a damaged fortification.
2.) Add an anti-cap code much like the reduced rewards for dungeons. This code would detect when a server is night capping or establishing a large lead, and disable their ability to buy/construct siege or lower their score increases.
3.) I personally don’t like this one, but its a possible solution. Make WvW open during peak times only on weekdays, and open all day during weekends. This will fix night capping all together, and possible cause more stable populations in each WvW map when its open. I do understand that many Oceania players play on heavily populated North American severs, and I think they should have their own servers to better suit their time zones like the EU servers.
4.) Add a code that only allows an equal number of players on each server. I have been amazed that a single server could beat back two servers on each map at the same time. It always seems that the dominating server has a larger player base then the two other servers combined.
5.) Add an incentive for losing servers to continue to play. In many peoples eyes, if they are losing (especially when the leading servers score is equal to the two other servers combined x3…) there is no point to continue to play… Much like the achievement system, make it so a player whose server is losing will receive a small prize such as a karma boost or a loot bag.
6.) Give players whose servers are losing a “rally bag” which will give the player a random siege blueprint. One of the major issues is that dominating servers are allowed to fully upgrade their fortifications, and often the task of capturing a fort with 10 cannons and 10 arrow carts is just to daunting for people to take on.
Some other features that I think would improve WvW:
- Give players the ability to spot enemies, and mark them on the map as long as they maintain a LoS.
- Allow commanders to mark everyone’s map with multiple waypoint.
- Change the color of chat for commanders, to let people easily know whose talking.
- Reset the orbs of power every day. Fighting over them is fun. and it will help with balance.
- Add a blockade siege blueprint. This will be a small medium health wooden wall that players can set up to defend locations such as NPC villages or chokepoints.
- Hire NPC mercenaries to attack a certain locations such as supply camps.
- Add some titles representing how many kills you have gotten in WvW. These could be seen as military ranks.

Doesn’t anyone know? This would be alot of karma to waste…
I have been farming for about a week now, and I have noticed lately that uncommon drops are much less common. My gold per hour has been cut in half. I’m hoping this is just bad luck.
Before I spend 64k karma, I was wondering if its allowed to transmutate Wolfborn (tier 3 Norn GS) on a weapon my Charr uses. Thanks in advance.
I do agree that the difficulty should stay, but this game has a majority of casual gamers, who will win the fight to nerf dungeons. No point in making a fuss.
1. There are bigger issues that Anet should be focusing on instead of this.
2. Medium Armor is the best looking IMO. Look at the guild medium armor for an example.
3. Ranger does not imply in any way “ranged”. A ranger is someone who wanders about living off the land. Traditionally (LoTR for ex) rangers use greatswords and bows… I don’t understand why people think greatswords should not be used by this class…
4. My pet almost doubles my DPS, gives me around +70-350 damage per hit, and gives me 6 seconds of quickness every 60 seconds. The only reason why people don’t like pets is because they don’t understand how they work.
Immobilize is a condition. So stability does not prevent it.
Yes! Lets add something as minor as this instead of fixing all the issues that actually matter!
I have no problems. What pets are you using?
I really don’t have any problems with pets dyeing to fast, and I am using felines.. You just need to think of your pet as a second health bar. Use your heals to heal your pet, and swap them out before they die. Really if your pet is dying as often as your saying its your fault. If your in a situation were your pet is being one hit killed by a boss, then you should switch them out for a buffing pet and make them passive.
