Third party mods are against the terms of use.

yeah i now what you mean but the specific mod doesnt give any advantage to someone who uses it neither in PvE or PvP it just makes the combat feel like it is real action combat

ANet takes the approach of it’s easier to just ban them all than approve ones that don’t add any advantage.

So being able to use any sort of aoe to litteraly slow down an entire train of people doesnt seem like manipulating the physics of the game to you? Out of combat speed was introduced so that people could cross distances faster in pve. its not supposed to effect ACTUAL combat. And i was IN combat long before I accidently hit that bird. The second I see a red name im IN combat, nobodys gotten hit is all.

I see names in red all the time without getting into combat so I don’t know what you’re talking about there and if you do get in combat without hitting anything at all, immediately send in a bug report. Because THAT is a bug.

But if you press a skill button or attunement switch button to speed up too close to a creature that is not an ambient or a friendly (green named) creature and it causes damage that is working as intended. And you need to pay better attention to your surroundings. Not add in things to punish other players for your lack of paying attention to your surroundings.

1. Most likely due to animations coding. Time is probably better spent dealing with actual bugs and more pressing suggestions than changing code for animations. But I do not have a problem with the suggestion itself. It’s just a low priority for me.

2. It is a collections expander. So that your collections tab can hold more. Working as intended and I doubt they’ll add more to it without increasing the cost of it. Not a bad suggestion though, just be prepared for price hike if they do it.

3. Back item working like helm and shoulders. Showing if it’s checked in the hero’s tab. Agree with this suggestion.

4. I get loot from champions if I’m not in a party. Getting loot from an enemy is based on how much damage you’ve dealt to the enemy. If you’re pretty sure you did a lot of damage and didn’t get loot, immediately send bug report in game. Probably won’t get anything, but it will at least alert ANet that something’s fishy with your account. Might be worth posting in the bugs forum with info on the environment for a few of the fights, some that you got loot from and some that you didn’t (aka: you’re build, your class, how many people were around, which champion, etc).

5. Let’s just leave it at lets increase variety of different types of armor. I personally do not like skimpy armor as I’m more realistic. But I understand that others do not share that opinion and that is just fine.

6. No comment as I do not have a HoM.

7. Flamekissed is coming back. The problem was that it looked way too much like the T3 Human cultural armor. ANet realized that was a problem and chose the lesser of ~3 evils. It will come back at a later date.

8. Living Story so far is the current “expansion”. Probably have to wait until at least after March for an expansion to hit as that’s when the first season of the LS will wrap up and ANet most likely won’t overlap the two.

9&10. There are probably some fractals that could be soloed. Getting lucky and getting 3 in a row and a doable end boss for you might be hard. There are a few paths of a few of the regular dungeons that are soloable.

7,488+ Unresolved Crashes, where does it end?

thanks for the correction ProphetSword,

my ram is working properly and as i said before, i have no problems of any crashing whatsoever, while running new mmo’s or current mmo’s, except this one.

If that checks out, other issues that might cause regular crashes include something overheating, a driver that is conflicting with something, etc. What does it say when it crashes?

And to add on to what ProphetSword asked:

- Are your drivers up to date?

- Did you update a driver before the crashing started? Sometimes specific drivers have problems with games. I had to roll back a driver once in order to play one of the other games I own.

- What are you typically doing when it crashes?

- What zone are you in? What area in that zone are you in?

You claim it’s the code but give no details of the crashing. You can’t claim that it can’t be your computer and therefore it has to be the code. The code is the same for everyone. Especially since the game forces everyone to play on the same patch level unlike other games. But without giving ANet any details they’re looking for a needle in a haystack. So they’ll spend more time trying to figure out the bugs and such of people who post details about it.

I’ve yet to crash. And your unwillingness to post your specs or at least post a link to a thread where you’ve posted your stats makes me and others unable to commiserate with you and demand anything of ANet.

Or any details of what you are doing in game when you crash (since sometimes crashes are tied to a specific something happening).

Post your computer specs (or a link to a thread containing those specs) and details surrounding what you were doing when the game crashed and maybe others can begin to understand and commiserate.

As of right now, I have very little sympathy for you. Because your crashing could be related to your computer. But I have no idea if it is or is not. Because you aren’t posting anything to show us the specs of your computer.

Kill the Queensdale champion train.

Why “kill” the only fun and relaxing activity in this game? You think everyone wants hard mode content with brainstorming on strategies and attack plans? No sorry.

Fun?

Relaxing?

You must be playing a different game than me. xD Champ farming is:
- mindless
- boring
- frustrating
- stressful

Headache hits from thinking too long of champ farming

For you it is mindless, boring, frustrating, and stressful.

For others it is fun and relaxing.

For me it’s boring because it isn’t a challenge. However when I’m 2 champs away from monthly champ slayer mostly earned through fractal dungeon champs, it’s a quick way to just be done with the monthly.

Or when I’ve 4 out of 5 daily achievements and there’s nothing really in the area of what I’m working on but Krytan Event or Event mentor is up. Queensdale Champ Train is a quick way to just be done with it so that I can get on with what I’m working toward and still make progress towards the achievement chests. And declutter my side bar which on my main only has the Wintersday stuff when I’ve finished the monthly and daily.

The champ train ISN’T the problem. It’s a symptom of the problem. There’s nothing really in other zones that’s worth doing when people need gold and mats for the various things they want/need to craft.

If other zones and activities were buffed to be more fun, more productive, etc, the zerg would split off or take a lot longer to return to the beginning.

Issues with "Ossuary of Unquiet Dead"

in Personal Story

Posted by: Seera.5916

Seera.5916

So it’s not supposed to be balanced for the average player at level 76?! By level 76 a player should be well versed in the game. It’s not like it’s a level 10 quest. By then a “new” player would be an average player.

Is there ANYTHING in the story that makes it obvious that if you approach them the incomplete status goes away? So that while fighting one you can at least attempt to avoid running into another one while evading the first?

Or getting the NPC’s to not approach them if they can trigger that status to go away.

It’s one thing to have a story quest be hard, but if it’s balanced for experienced players something is wrong. The personal story quest should at least be doable by no more than a group of “new” players. Because that is a very valid group to be doing the story. After so many times of doing the story, a person isn’t going to want to do the story. So a high percentage of players doing the story will be NEW players. Therefore, the story quests should at least be doable by new players to a reasonable degree. Which means balanced towards new to intermediate players.

So basically what you want is WvW, only in more areas.

No.

Um, yes. What you describe is WvW, only in more areas. And with an idiotic item dropping on death mechanic.

No. World vs World is server vs server. Server 1 vs Server 2.

What the OP is describing is Guild vs Guild on ONE server. And there wouldn’t just be 3 guilds going at it.

There would be no safe keep if what I’m reading is correct. No where that you didn’t have a chance of getting killed if you weren’t paying attention.

While it wouldn’t be a server I’d be interested in, I wouldn’t be opposed to such a server being added. Maybe make it guest only. That way players aren’t locked out of WvW or risk 3 servers with low population since WvW has to work with a multiple of 3 servers.

Those are just grouping/balancing mechanics.

This suggestion is nothing more than the same sPvP/WvW we already have, only on more maps…

Didn’t say it wasn’t basically the same suggestion that’s been mentioned.

At least this suggestion has the makings of not just being WvW in the PvE areas. This idea would be a different spin on it. Unlike many other suggestions.

And there would be more than 3 guilds in the area. Or 3 alliances. And no real way to balance things out at all. Don’t see how dropping equipment is in any way balancing.

Guild City Concept

in Suggestions

Posted by: Seera.5916

Seera.5916

If it were somewhere in Tyria, it would have to be instanced because there simply isn’t enough real estate for every guild to claim a piece without turning the world into Trantor or Coruscant. Nor would I (or the game’s cooperative design) countenance limited numbers of people able to have a guild area and everyone else having to stare in envy.

Cant’ agree with that – let’s pretend that Divinitys Reach is our “Guild City”, and your guild can claim any house there to rebuild into guild house (1 per guild of course). How much buildings in there? Hundreds? I dont think any server have more than 100 big guilds, so there will be plenty of space for everyone.
And about envy – come on, man. It’s MMO – everyone is showing off their cool armor, legendary weapon and stuff. Why i can’t show off with my cool guild house?

But how many big buildings are there? Let’s assume that guilds want these houses for guild meetings and such and therefore need big spaces.

What about all Charr or all Sylvari guilds? I can imagine they’re are probably some of those. I’d say more will be on the more major role play servers as a way to organize role playing. Divinity’s Reach is the only city that really has buildings and isn’t already crowded. Lion’s Arch does have plenty of buildings, but it’s already the center of everything already.

It being in the Mists solves a number of things.

1. Too many large guilds having the desire to have their housing in the same city causing overflows as the guild houses will probably be where guild members go to just chill out. Instead of Lion’s Arch.

2. Arguments over which guild should get which building.

3. Reducing loading times in general for Lion’s Arch as people are off doing other things. Gathering materials for making their guild house. Gathering materials for upgrading their guild house. Gathering materials to upgrade their guild city. Maybe things could be added, like crafting locations or a trading post or a bank if people build them there. Another sink for excess materials. Perfect for the account bound ascended stuff that are easy obtainable that those not going for ascended gear would probably love to have a use for rather than just destroying it because they can’t even sell it to merchants.

Not to mention if it’s in the cities, then NONE of the Living Stories can EVER touch that city. Because what if a building that’s changed was a guild’s house? I’d hate to cut off one possible route for a Living Story to take just for a guild house. That I’ll probably just run by without giving it much thought.

When people say “If you’re good” or “If you’re skilled” they mean that you know how to avoid an enemy skill or a giant obvious red circle. I don’t know how that really relates to skill, seems more like common sense and a very basic reaction speed.

It’s much better than making it a OHKO that has no tell and will kill anyone who doesn’t have X armor. Because having X armor isn’t skill either.

Being able to recognize a tell or notice that your in a red circle is more skill related to me than having an armor of more than X.

But I do feel its fair for those that only run Offensive Stats to get 1shot.

As long as the one shot attack has a tell and is avoidable I don’t have an issue with the one shot, one shoting everyone. Maybe even add it to one of the zerg train bosses. Keep the zerg players awake.

Make it tied to player skill and not just their armor stat. Otherwise people will just move to the next best build. Which in your case would be the build with just enough defensive stats to not fall to the one shot attack.

The other builds just need to be made just as viable as the builds that run full berserker. That will add to build variety. Only when the builds are all viable will people run them. Which is probably a long way off as balance takes time.

i do not have time to craft because i prioritize my time.

Most of my time i use it to be with my friends, go parties, work, and gf.

I do not like to expend my only free time to play crafting.

And we’ve already been told that one day other methods for ascended gear acquisition will come. Just be patient and don’t rush ANet or we’ll get some untested means of acquisition.

And we’re not saying you have to spend all your time crafting.

Just spend a small portion of it. If you have an hour, spend 5 minutes.

Heck only spend 5 minutes when it’s in the daily. Which isn’t every day.

I spend 10-15 minutes every day that it’s in the daily 90% of the time. But I stop as soon as I’m bored. The daily only requires I hit the craft button 10 times. I can turn 20 cotton scraps into 10 cotton bolts and be done. You don’t have to craft 10 full pieces of armor or weapons or meals or jewels in order to get the daily. So just craft 10 things each day that give you experience in the craft. Which won’t even take 5 minutes if you happen to have everything you need. 5 minutes tops if you don’t.

And who doesn’t have 5 minutes a day to spend crafting most of the days that it shows up in the daily?

And other ways are coming. Let ANet get those new ways designed in such a way that they will actually be worthwhile alternatives and not something just thrown together to please people.

And you could slowly work your crafting up. Maybe only do it on the days when crafting is in the daily. That way you get progress towards laurels and/or AP points for the chests which have useful things in them such as badges of honor.

So why does your proposed change make it so that anyone running zerker should expect to die at least one time if not more in a dungeon due to the undodgeable OHKO attack?

That will quickly turn into: “NO ZERKERS. Ping gear.”

And it will quickly after that turn into: “[New meta gear] ONLY. Ping gear.”

Your suggestion completely gets rid of one build. Full Zerker builds is NOT the problem. Your solution to the people who require Full Zerkers in their dungeon groups removes Full Zerker as a possible build.

And what this game needs right now is build diversity. Not a suggestion that will just push people into the next best build. Which will be as CLOSE to Full Zerker as possible to survive that OHKO undodgeable attack.

Edit: Editing to add that while the problem is a real one and one that worries me since I run Full Clerics, I don’t think your solution is the way to go since it destroys a build in an attempt to get people to go to a variety of builds. When from my understanding of MMO players, they’ll just all migrate to the next best build. Which is still not build variety.

Again no one is getting the point…point is the moment I go for a poi or something in wvw I will just get stomped so whats the use…there is no reason to do it if all it is is a free for all cause it will be like having a hundred risen in a small area where a skill point is and your trying to get the skill point and keep dying…If you have to rely on others to get it for you then you won’t get it at all cause they won’t stop and let you get it or help cause thats just how gamers are. They do what they want and use others for bait and such. I have been in PvPs before I stepped in wvw before it was nothing more then a nightmare. 5 minutes and I was finished I could not stay on my feet for 5 minutes every few minutes someones big zerg group took me out so why even try like others say…find my own zerg? Why so they can treat me like the outcast cause I am not in there lil cliq.
I have said what I came to say some agree that they WvW should not be apart of map completion some do not so be it. Not one of you can force me to go in there and do it if I did it would be to prove that 99.9% of the time in there would be me dead.

POI getting stomped because no one wants to go with you: Chances are, the POI you’re going for is the one the zerg is going for unless it’s a place you have. Which means it’s a safe zone where you have very little chance of getting attacked unless you’ve stumbled into the time where people are trying to take that area.

If it’s not in an area that the zerg is going or a safe location just run to it and run back to zerg. Chances are that POI is not in an area the enemy zerg is.

Gamers not stopping to help: You’d be surprised at how many of us will stop and help if we hear someone say they need help. Don’t assume that all of us are jerks. I for one am not and would help if asked.

Zerg being a clique: 99% of the time a zerg is not a group of people who know each other. It’s a group of mostly strangers who have banded together for safety in numbers. They won’t treat you as an outcast.

As to your prediction of how much time you’d be dead: Until such time as you can mentally say that you won’t be dead that much, you’ll be dead that much. Because the mind is a powerful thing.

And it should be part of map completion because it is part of creating a legendary. And honestly, legendaries shouldn’t be able to be sold on the TP. They should be at least account bound on acquire if not soul bound on acquire. It should be something that shows that you’ve played all aspects of the game and have played it a lot.

TChalla want to know why? I do not trust others….people I do not know in games usually use me for bait or treat me like crap specially in PvP situations so I do not bother playing games with others I do not know if they are helpful thats one thing but I will not go to people.

You don’t have to ask or anything to join a zerg. Hop on the zerg train with your wife and get some poi’s and vistas and skill points. Near a skill point you know is hard say in say chat that you’re going for the nearby skill point and would love help. There will be people in that zerg who do not have that skill point and would gladly help. Find a time when your server owns a lot. Based on what I’m hearing from others here, that shouldn’t be a problem.

AoE damage can only hit so many targets. Being in a zerg is like having more of a chance to not get hit with AoE damage. Plus zergs tend to have constant speed boosts going, which helps against the lone wolf or small party that can’t keep that up. It seems counterintuitive that being with a zerg that is out to capture places will keep an explorer safe, but given current tactics in the game that is how it is.

I suggest people read the OP’s post history; specifically on his earlier ones about loot. You’ll see many people tried to reason and explain to him yet he did not believe we were correct. There’s no way you’ll change his stance or mind in this thread.

He does seem to have a large level of resistance to the explanations.

The map completion thing for PVE players does seem out of place as wvwvw isn’t part of the map.

A PVE player on a T1 server isn’t going to roam around and get poi’s effectively. Don’t even try. Find one of the blue dorritos and follow it around. You’ll eventually get all the spots.

Unless you have a high expectation that you most likely die a fair number of times. So if you aren’t following the zerg, you have a high chance of dying.

And OP you don’t have to be in a guild or party up to follow the zerg around. It just helps because you can ask in guild chat: “Hey, do we have X location in our hands? I’m missing that POI.” or “Hey, I’m missing X, Y, and Z in enemy borderlands and they control it. Let’s form a zerg and take those places so I and others can get X, Y, and Z.”

Edit: And this is coming from someone who has never stepped foot into WvW and is on a not Tier 1 server (Crystal Desert) who is very apprehensive about going into WvW for map completion as PvP isn’t typically my cup of tea.

What they could do is make a new skill point challenge that would be more involved and would just offer more skill points when completed. That way people can experience the GW1 style skill acquiring system without having to generate a new currency.

And those not interested in getting new skills could still have a purpose for the skill points if they are going for a legendary or two.

2. Some people do and they can manually implement that design on their own. No need to force on it on the people who do not want that level of difficulty.

3. Utility swapping I can see except for Fractals since it’s random. It’s one thing to do it for a regular dungeon where you know what you’re going up against. But fractals you don’t. And since we elementalists can’t switch during combat we already have to do what you say. I tend to run staff in dungeons since for me, range is best since I haven’t quite perfected moving while fighting.

4. If the redesigned dungeons one could argue for it, I suppose. But as it stands now, the levels aren’t designed for it.

5. Fair enough but how are you going to differentiate between the player who lost power due to a power surge vs the player who purposely turns his power off via power cord or button? Or purposely cuts their internet? It would be too problematic to stop the people who abuse it just to implement something that would make dungeons out of the realm of possibility even for a group of very determined casuals, which in regular dungeons can repair while in there without having to have the instant repair cans.

6. The thing is, it’s probably something that’s either in all areas or no areas. Due to the mechanics of it.

Plus, not to mention that ANet doesn’t want any major differences between races so that would make that hard to implement given the size differences between Charr and Asuran.

Not bringing it up early lets people get really attached to a particular idea when it would not be feasible and time could be better spent on other ideas.

Like I said, your idea sound good. But we already have a sense of dungeon players being elitist and making the dungeons harder will only make that issue worse, either in actuality or the perception of it.

Adding a hard mode that would take your ideas and run with them, could possibly revitalize dungeons if the rewards were actually decent to the effort.

2. So you spend a few hours in a dungeon being careful and you get bad luck on the final boss and all wipe to get kicked out. That would personally kitten me off. I don’t know about others.

3. So as an elementalist I can’t have a 2nd weapon set in my inventory to swap into when keeping range is critical? How many dungeons out there have a part where ranged is king and a part where melee is king? You’re solution will mean any class that doesn’t have the ability to swap weapons like the warriors do aren’t wanted if all of your suggestions are put in place.

4. So the one player who falls off and doesn’t die but can’t get back up is hosed? Can’t waypoint up and no one can get him up unless one of the other party members is a mesmer and they can get to where the player is and happens to have or able & willing to get the portal skill?

5. So the player whose power blips and they lose connection can’t get back in? I’d be kitten ed if that happened 2 seconds before the final boss got killed.

6. That would require too much reworking of things and grief on jumping puzzles where people are high enough to fall to their death. Players would push players off of the ledge just to cause them trouble.

Your ideas sound good on paper, but the solutions provided won’t promote build variety and will cause problems. Now, if they implement a hard mode dungeon with greater rewards, then I’m all for all but #6 (just because that one would affect more than just dungeons).

All I can imagine is that they are preparing a massive expansion. Else they’ll lose too many of their players in 2014 because of the lack of areas to discover.

Because having new areas to explore every two weeks is considered lack of new areas? Every time a zone is changed that is new stuff to explore. Just because there is not a new zone does not mean that there is a lack of new areas to discover.

Every two weeks I get to discover new areas, seems a lot better than waiting every 6 months for new discoveries.

But the current additions rarely take more than 30 minutes to find if even that. I finished up the Tower’s new add ons in less than 5 minutes.

Those who focus primarily on exploration need a new zone to fully explore. And your desires and the desires of the OP are not mutually exclusive. They can add in a few new areas during the Living Story without having to give up making a new zone all together.

And what will you do after you finish it in an hour?

I’ve yet to finish exploring a zone in an hour. It generally takes me several days to do so.

But once I finish, patiently wait for the next new zone to be added. We don’t demand that a new zone be added every 2 weeks. We just want a new zone to be added at a reasonable rate.

It’s obvious to me that you aren’t an explorer. An explorer wouldn’t rush through a new zone to get it to 100% by ANet definitions. An explorer would just run around the map and get to 100% by ANet definitions when he got there and would do so at a slower pace. Because they go: can I get to the top of that mountain? there’s no vista or skill point or poi or waypoint, but I want to see what’s up there. I want to see the land from way up high.

Well 0% is 0% whether it is tier completion or total completion.

Or at least it works for the monthly last month. But at least with total completion selected it will show how many it takes to complete the entire achievement. I couldn’t seem to get it to stick for a non-Daily/Monthly.

The problem is the more they loosen it for those of who play by the rules, the higher percentage of gold sellers will get through for a longer time.

Whether they have the settings for the suppression at the best level for keeping gold sellers low and players not inconvenienced is another story. And one we won’t know the answer to unless ANet decides to speak up on the matter.

Those are there to make it harder for spammers and gold sellers and what not. So, it probably will not be changed easily.

Once you get the golds going, use more of the ingame Black Lion Trading. And it’s not so hard making gold in this game.

The thing is, she’s just talking about sharing crafting goods with her friends. Not selling.

So like friend A will handle cooking, she’ll handle armorsmithing, and friend B will handle weaponsmithing. And they’ll share their goods among themselves.

Trading Post doesn’t really work that way.

There is a way for it to show total completion. Open the hero tab and go to the daily section. There is a drop down menu in the right side. It is defaulted to Tier Completion. If you pull it down, you can switch it to Total Completion. Then do the same for monthly.

As to your other suggestion, I agree 100%.

The thing is ascended gear is not that much better than exotic gear and is only needed in high level fractals. And the materials for them can be earned through fractal runs.

And exotic gear was supposed to be as hard as ascended gear is to earn. It’s supposed to be a long term goal. Not something you get in a few days of gold farming.

How do I follow a train?

And the train will do Shadow Behemoth when it spawns. But it can spawn at any time.

Shadow Behemoth does not spawn at any time.
It is on about 2 hour timer with a 30 min spawn window.

during the window there is a chain of events at the Monastery that involves the Monastery beer that has to be done.
At the end of this Brenda needs to be sent to Godslost way point.

This will cause the 3 pre-events for Behemoth to start.

Fully aware of that and my phrasing was off. It can spawn at any point in the train was what I meant. Not literally at any time. It’s not a every 2 hours we do SB after spider kind of thing.

So why did you respond to this post? The OP asked for things you loved about the game. Surely you can’t hate the game as you’re here on the forums or at least you don’t want to hate it. I dare you to find something positive you like about the game. Even if there is a but to it.

1. It’s Buy to Play. I play multiple games and no subscription fee means if another game has caught my attention, I don’t feel like I’m wasting money. Not to mention if it was subscription based, I wouldn’t be able to play as I don’t have the money to buy a subscription.

2. No node/kill stealing is possible. I don’t kill fast and I don’t want to have to race to a gather node to hope someone else doesn’t get to it before I do.

3. Jumping Puzzles.

4. I get experience for doing most anything. So that I don’t have to do just one thing to level up. I have options.

5. I like that a vast majority of the game can be soloed do the scaling that is done. So that I don’t always have to get a group to go do something. I’m a squishy elementalist and I’m no where near the best player in the game. But I’ve for the most part soloed the 92% map exploration of Malachor’s Leap. I’ve got 3 skill points that I need assistance with and I managed to avoid 2 POI’s while going around the map. And of total Map Completion, I’ve gotten most of my 80% map completion solo.

Deleted Characters and Stopped Using Account

Did most of the above- but the ‘loss’ was still huge- but that wasn’t why I deleted the toons. I have a terrible habit of going back to old games and old accounts so to minimise the temptation I deleted most of them, liquidated what I could, and transferred what I could over- but of course all of the gem stuff is account bound so that didn’t help all that much. There’s still a pile of mats etc to deal with at some other time…those that aren’t account bound of course…

Do you have enough crafting skills in relevant crafts to turn those account bound mats into items you can transfer and then salvage on your main account?

Like I can turn account bound bananas into a chocolate banana that I can put on the trading post. Though with that example, you can’t salvage it, but at least it would give you a boost of some kind.

Reduce AP awarded for dailies

in Suggestions

Seera.5916

So you’re upset that ANet has a system in place to reward players for going out and playing the game in whatever area they like and rewarding those who can only get to one or two during their play session due to their time limits and play style.

All because you’re chasing for being high on a leadership board and don’t want to risk not doing the dailies for the high AP reward to time?

Then your suggestion removes the partial AP credit for the dailies for those who can’t complete them all?

Personally, before the change to Pick 5 out of X method for dailies, I NEVER was able to get a daily. Because I don’t play WvW. I don’t do dungeons or never did the right path on the days they were up (because I don’t believe in going out to do the dailies, the dailies occur as I play what I want).

Now the dailies might affect where I play. I may choose to work on a map in Shiverpeaks instead of Kryta on days where it’s rewarding a Daily for kills in Shiverpeaks. I may choose to play my low level alt on a day when the personal story is in the daily or leveler.

But I don’t specifically kitten, my goal is to hit these 5 dailies and I will go out of my way to do them. Now, if I find I’m close as I’m about to log off, I might go out and chase down one achievement if it will put me at completing the dailies if it’s been mostly finished already.

Maybe try going at the dailies by a different approach? Spend most of your time out doing what you want to do. And see how many of the dailies get filled just by doing what you want to do.

One: How would you propose the game figure out who has watched any videos or read basic strategy?

Two: It would be nice if they could put in some sort of Agony filter to only show the levels that the person qualified for based on what they have equipped.

But beyond the game imposing the limit based on Agony Resistance (since I assume the higher ones would be nigh impossible without any Agony Resistance), I don’t know what else could be done to make sure those who are capable of running the fractals at the level they are joining from being prohibited because they fall below some arbitrary figure decided by other players.

Legendary Weapons: New way to aquire

Yes, but there are 4 zones you have to get credit for. 2 of which could be enemy controlled.

Then there are the 250 badges of honor that have to be earned for the Gift of Mastery meaning players have to actually participate in actual things that happen in WvW, be it doing the JP numerous times or kill others.

But it is NOT something that should just be given to people for the number of days they’ve played. Because then it will become common place and that’s not legendary.

I’ve been too on and off to really catch any of the events.

I happened to catch the Southsun Cove Karka event and was able to go through that one to the end. So that’s the one I enjoyed the most. It was however very flawed and I like how ANet has learned from the backlash they had over that event and has yet to repeat it.

If you see him try to do it again, I wouldn’t be above giving the person he’s trying to scam a fair warning that he may try to scam them. But beyond that, I wouldn’t actually say or do anything that is even remotely against the rules.

It’s both your fault and the other player’s fault.

You should have realized that there was a chance he could be scamming you and acted accordingly and not sent him anymore gold before getting the actual item than you were willing to part with.

He shouldn’t have scammed you.

But in order to scam, a scam artist has to have someone who will take the bait.

I’m sorry you got scammed and I hope you are quickly able to recoup your losses.

Existing weapons for other classes poll.

I suspect that underwater weapons being used outside of water may present issues.

If you have one really good spear, why would you need two to cover above and below water? They’d need to make it so that a spear works for both when equipped in one slot. But then you’d have people that want two different spears, so you still need to allow for that. I don’t think the game can handle that kind of interaction between the land/water weapon slots without some additional coding.

I see no problem really with adding aquatic weapons to regular use. The skills would simply have to switch. Not that difficult to assimilate. All options of in game weapons are excepted.

Or just call it a Land Spear to avoid confusion. I don’t see them letting people use the exact same spear for aquatic and land use.
