Depends what type of a WvW’r you are. If you are a roamer, berserk is a viable option for some classes.

I like high DPS theives for one reason, and that is, they punnish those berserkers. If you want high damage, get ready to pay the price. Every build has a weakness, and a berserker’s weakness is a berserk theif

I’m sorry, its totally and utterly kittened, many times where I would have won a fight while downed ruined by the IWIN stealth stomp, it pretty much counter anything you might do to stop them stomping.

Stealth should be broken on any kittening action taken while in stealth, be it healing, attacking or stomping.

Stealth stomping is the most insanely stupid kitten I have ever seen in any mmo.

It wouldn’t be fair to lower tier servers who doesn’t have as big zergs. Transferring to tier 1 shouldn’t make you automatically richer than someone in tier 9.

But in the end, we fight more, die more and the encounters in general are more intense. So why are the pvdoor’rs in lower tiers going to be rewarded more?

Good to see BG doing what it does best! Never have I seen a server so willing to submit its bags in such wealth regardless of the time zone. Don’t ever change BG!

Oh, don’t worry, I learnt to fight without siege a long time ago. But I think you need to learn to fight without it. It’s hard to get your garrison’s wall down with all those ACs and cannons, but we somehow managed it. Our passion for a fight inside garrison was strong and drove us to get that wall down, but we were utterly dissapointed when you guys ran to the 3rd flow and just AC’ed us at the bottom

Grats on coming to fight us when you vastly outnumber us and during a 2v1 (there you go Stealthzor, put that tear in your bucket, its a free one on me <3) where we lose our garrison twice a day.

Did I mention we got wiped and I died at the treb spot? I highly doubt you guys were ooutmanned. There was no buff. Garrison was the only keep on that map and it looked like you guys had a map zerg going, so I don’t understand how you were getting 2v1’d There were no JQs there either. The only way you guys were spread out were a melee force and a siege force. And if I recall correctly, there wasn’t a very large melee force

elementalist vaporform still desperately needs that nerf preventing them from entering WvW portals, literally no other profession can do this that has mobility downed skills.

I just posted about this, but I will reply to you too. Vapor form is vulnerable to CCs. You should play the class first and learn about it’s weaknesses before complaining about it being “OP”

2 of ele that you listed is wrong. vapour form evades all attacks and is not immune to CCs.

I wouldn’t want to deprive PVErs of PVE content. We need to see why WvW is a ghost town every time PVE is introduced. The reason is, WvW rewards are kitten, badges can only be used to buy armor with kitten skins, etc. I am not saying add PVE to WvW, but at least make it as attractive as PVE.

My statement doesn’t require translation. WvW is a part of GW2, it is not its own game, it is not a standalone product and it is not separate from the game. Your characters from WvW are usable in PvE and vice-versa for a reason. I love WvW and prefer it to the rest of our game, but I still go and run Living World content when I feel like it. The idea is that all of our players create an ecosystem that is interdependent. If players only played one or the other, each area would be less compelling and less fun. Sure, there are some number of people who only play WvW, but more people play the rest of the game as well. If people had to pick which to play WvW would have fewer people playing it, period. Don’t confuse my belief that our game is better the more people you find around you with some sort of slighting of WvW or a statement that WvW is second best. I focus my efforts entirely on WvW every day of the week and I will continue to do so. We want everyone who buys our game to play as much of all the parts of the game they enjoy because that is what we do.

I agree, but why don’t we have a choice in the matter? Rewards in WvW are not even comparable at this point to the rewards in PVE. I tried out the farm in FGS, and all it involved was one large group of 50+ people running in one large circle around the map killing champions. The bosses melted so fast that sometimes it died before I even tagged it. Now this requires 0 skill. In WvW, killing a player requires more skill and it rewards ‘Junk’ (Believe it or not, in-game name). I don’t know if it is a bug or not, but I have been receiving less from killing players in general. Are PVE’rs forced to WvW for any item? WvW skins look like kitten. With reward chests they don’t even need to get ported up the EB JP for badges for a legendary, so why are we forced to PVE? I find it completely boring in comparison. I used to dungeon a bit with friends, but now I can’t even do that because of the ‘1 dungeon a day’ policy. My PVE friend makes x20 the amount I make in wvw, and it inflation due to exploiting in orr, the money I make is literally nothing.

I mean, Its fun to be T1, but not fun to have skill lag. Its also not fun to always get stomped/be stomped :p

I rarely play during NA prime on BG, but(from one experience) at the most we que up 2 maps. After reset, all maps are qued for some time. If you are really quick to enter the que, you can enter within 20 minutes. I experience skill lag on a daily basis, but only once or twice a day. It only happens when map zergs collide in a 3 way battle, but most of the other time it is lag free.

What disadvantage are you experiencing these days if you play only WvW?

How about, making measly amounts of gold while PVE player base exploits orr and makes the money we earn in wvw seem like nothing? Not to mention the loot nerf from killing players. Has that been addressed yet? The amount I am currently earning is still way too low. For every 2g I make in wvw, my PVE friend makes 40g in FGS or Orr.

What a boring night. PVP and WvW are both down. Keep treb mastery and give us back the 2 hours lost waiting for the update.

They are going to be at par with ascended level very soon. Just another thing which will throw wvw further out of balance.
I play multiple characters, so am I supposed to equip all with legendary weapons and ascended armor? Why are we discouraged to play multiple characters?

I clearly remember IRON wiping on Sunday afternoon while I was running with them. It was on EB, in the area just past the hyleks on the “green side” of the map. Maybe you weren’t there?

There is no doubt that JQ was,is and will be the best NA server.

I am sure SoR and BG worked hard to get where they are today, but the matter of fact is, about 1 year ago, all the veterans from most of the top notch PvP and WvWvW/RvR players agreed in private forums that JQ would be their home.

Well, at least some acknowledge the fact that MERC was the reason SoS was ever in tier 1. Can’t say the same for many on SoS.

MERC is a decent enough guild tbh that does work, it’s just bad luck for their part that they are always on a server that doesn’t match their efforts and doesn’t respect them.

Most people are in crown pavilion, farming this week. And I doubt there are many that don’t respect MERC. It is the only guild that works well past their hours to ensure PPT, even now when we are so far behind.

The amount of animosity SoR built up from coming 2nd place to BG is astounding. If they were smart they would push JQ during NA and EU to have a shot at first place.

We don’t play for ppt. We don’t care what place we come in really long as we have good fights.

I was referring to the first part of your post; the “we don’t play for PPT” part.

Every server plays to win (in this case playing to get more points than the other 2 servers). WvWvW is designed to have 1 winner & 2 losers. That’s the whole point of WvWvW; playing to beat the other 2 servers.

Saying you don’t play for PPT is as good as saying you’re playing to lose. Have some server pride will ya?

As much as I realize this is just feeding the troll…. I feel I need to point out that there is a large group of people in this world that play video games for this thing called “fun”. You might try it some time, it actually isn’t that bad. And, honestly, it’s kinda nice to not base your enjoyment on the little numbers at the top of the screen.

My enjoyment comes from the success of the server I’m on, and the contribution I put forth.

d/d backstab thieves can’t do much vs armored targets(guardian, warrior, bunker ele, eng)

Lol, i am a guardian with 3400 armor and 19k health with defensive traits and they back stab me for 5/6k damage when i am without defensive boons (and they can spam it).

This game has no resilience vs critical damage (this game has no resilience at all), and you can raise the critical damage what scale WAY better than defensive stats like toughness. Critical damage is too kitten powerful in this game.

Obviously if vs ligth armor they can output a 12k critic, sure they do less damage vs high armor if only hit by 5/6k. But 1/4 health in 1 spameable hit is really high anyway.

Why are you ever without defensive boons? Quite easy to spec for 100% uptime on Protection, Regeneration and Retaliation for guardian. Not to mention all the various blocks and blinds you have to negate backstab.

For a d/d theif just blind/block him and mess up his CnD. That leaves him compltely vulernable with only #1 to hit with.

It’s probably because they’re aren’t half as many people for you to kill in WvW as usual. The most current Living Story content is such the epic grind house in the absolute literal MMO definition imaginable I need not explain any further.

No, that is not the problem. There has been a slight decrease in the numbers, but a very large decrease in drops. Nothing seems to drop, not even spikes.
